Flashback Reviews SHIMMER Volume 21

I don't think true women's wrestlers get enough credit or fame. Why the WWE does have some talented women that take the art of wrestling seriously they more often than not push girls just in there looking for fame girls like Kelly Kelly, The Bellas, or Alicia Fox. And than you have girls with talent like Natalya who once stuck with a farting gimmick or hell look at Emma a talented girl who getting a comedy gimmick and will be stuck with Santino. And than you have all women's' shows like GLOW witch was a comedy show and a couple of years ago there was Wrestlicous a GLOW like show that did sign some very talented stuck them with bad gimmick and crappy jokes and just awful booking hell the shows were so bad I wanted to apologize for every bad thing I ever said about John Cena after see it. But there is hope TNA for the most part pushes great talents like Gail Kim, Madison Rayne, and the returning Angelina Love. And there is more hope thanks to companies like SHIMMER Women Athletes.

SHIMMER was started in 2005 but long time wrestling manager and announcer Dave Prazak and indy stand out of Alison Danger. The company holds a few DVD tapings a years. And let me make this clear SHIMMER is a wrestling company the girls are for the most part all highly trained and many have traveled the world getting better and learning new skills. It's helped produced a number of girls to the next level. During the early the days SHIMMER worked closely with ROH how ever that connect has ended. My only issue with SHIMMER is I wish they put more out. The company makes a big deal out of the quality of there production so they would rather less often and get all that right. The good news is SHIMMER has produced a spin off company SHINE. While SHIMMER is based out of Chicago SHINE is out of Florida also kind of FIP when it was tied to ROH different stories different feuds etc. SHIMMER actually waited until Volume 12 to crown a champion and they waited until Volume 21 to crown tag champions. So does SHIMMER 21 live up to all my raving about the company or does it have great talent but bad stories?

We open with Serena Deeb who fans may know from he time in WWE with CM Punks SES making her way to the ring. Serena talks about how she has been wrestling for SHIMMER for two years and how she wants to prove she is the best. She mentions how she had to pull out of the title tournament when she was in a car accident. She mention Sara Del Rey beat her at the last SHIMMER taping and called her out for a rematch. The former SHIMMER champion make her way to the ring.Del Rey said she was sick of bottom of the barrel girls but accepted the match. It's a decent opening segment but Deeb didn't' seem that comfortable on the microphone.

Serena Deeb vs Sara Del Rey- Del Rey had turned heel after losing the SHIMMER title and had changed appearing to have gone crazy. Del Rey cheat shots Deeb at the start. Del Rey roughs up Deeb with chops forearms, and a head but. Deeb fire back with over hand slaps but Del Rey hits a big boot. Deeb Monkey flip blocked and a second rope cross body caught for a Del Rey back breaker. Del Rey goes after the eyes. Del Rey ties up the leg of Deeb and locked in the bow and arrow. Deeb escapes and gets two. Del Rey right up with another big boot than slam. Back to back senton by Del Rey. Running boot to the back and a cocky cover gets two for Del Rey. Knees to the back and than a half chin lock with a knee in the back as Del Rey keeps working over the back. Boot finally blocked and some big punches by Deeb. Neck breaker by Deeb. Deeb see for the spear but Del Rey side steps it. Hip attack by Del Rey gets two. Big Boot to the face get another two for Del Rey. Deeb counters the Royal Butterfly for a small package that gets two. Crucifix from Deeb gets two. Deeb attempts a small package but Del Rey counters it into the Royal Butterfly that picks up the win. Decent opening match. The idea was supposed to be the young underdog trying to beat the top woman in the world. Del Rey dos great as crazy over aggressive heel. Deeb would be picked up by some time after this but some personal issues derailed that. She's back working Indies but injuries limited her. Del Rey is a trainer for NXT working with the girls that will never have the same passions she does for the most part.

Miss Natural vs Lorelei Lee-  This was was Natural's SHIMMER Debut she was out of Minnesota. Lee had been on the roster for a while but never got much of a push. Natural slaps Lee when she is breaking a tie up in the corner. Head lock by Natural but Lee counter into a top wrist lock. Hammer lock traded off.Lee foes for an up and over but slips the first time Natural stops and lets Lee hit the move. Arm drags than an arm bar by Lee. Lee gets a arm ringer. Strange spot where Natural hits the corner and jumps back. Belly to back suplex by Lee. Hand Spring cross body by Lee is caught and Natural hits a fall away slam. Another bad spot where Natural goes for a head scissors can't get high enough some it turns into some just rolling around by both women. Firemen's carry by Lee than a cross arm breaker. Modified surfboard by Natural. Second top cross body by Lee get two. Dropkick by Lee and than some forearms. Boot to the mid second and a Natural Disaster fishermen's buster by Natural for the win. Ok match nothing to special I don't' think Natural got to many more bookings with SHIMMER and Lee never got much higher than third match on the card.

Daffney made her way out to the ring. Daffney was sporting a different style than here WCW or TNA look not as heavy not the make up now I do like Daffeny but this look hold her back and just makes her look more generic. Although maybe she was trying to avoid looking or appearing like she was ripping off the gimmick of SHIMMER champion MsChif. Daffney makes a few jokes about her other gimmick Shark Girl and talks about her previous match with Cat Power where she suffered a knee injury. Daffney says her knee is 100% and wants a rematch.Ok segment but as I said by chaining her gimmick Daffney looks and sounds real generic not helping was the fact it sound like as part of her efforts to mock Cat she put Meows in the promo.

Daffney vs Cat Power- Lock up and into a side head lock by Daffney than a take down. Head Scissors by Cat Power. Daffney escapes and yes to the out side. Daffney grabs a ball of year and uses it to distract Cat. Neck snap by Daffney. Power goes to the eyes. Muta style elbow by Power. Dafffney won't shut up she is yelling and event worse it's dumb stuff like "Oh my Meow!" Daffney hung in the tree of woo. Cat pulls at the leg . Daffney out of the tree by flipping over Cat and hits a back breaker inverted DDT combo pretty cool move. Daffney matrixes out of a clothesline. Leg sweep by Power. More stuff with the yarn allowing Daffney to hit the Daff Knee (think a one legged Code Breaker) for the win. Ok match in terms of the ring but Daffney doing all the meow stuff got annoying and the comedy with the yarn was stupid. Prazak says that is Daffney's first win in SHIMMER.

Danyah vs Nikki Roxx- Roxx you would know as Roxxi from TNA while Danyah was a Canadian based wrestler the worked for the awful Wrestlicous company. This match came after Roxx had her hair shaved on a TNA PPV but it was started to growing back. Hammer lock by than a head lock by Danyah Roxx drops down and gets a roll up for two. Am drag by Roxx than arm wringer. Danyah counters out and flips out to control. Roxx show the rookie who it's down. Small package by Roxx than a back slide by Danyah. Trop toe hold by Danyah and than knees to the back. Running drop kick the chest in the corner by Danya Roxx drops so Danyah hits one to the face. Danyah charges right into an boot. Body slam plex by Roxx. Spine buster by Roxx gets two. Missile drop kick by Danyah. Barbie Crusher or Voodoo Drop by Roxx for the win. Good match as Danyah kept up with Roxx well. Like the first match on the card it was a up and comer taking on a very experienced and more well known talent.

Amber O'Neal vs Wesna Busic- O'Neal was out of the Carolinas and has worked pretty much everywhere even some one shots for TNA plus the one season of Wrestlicous plus some appearance in WSU.  For a long time she teamed up with Krissy Vaine in Team Bondage but at this time Vaine was working for the WWE. Busic is a veteran out of Germany she worked for various companies over seas and had a long rivalry with Cheerleader Melissa. Before the match O'Neal who was getting cheered since she's a hot blonde reminded the fans she hates them. Lots of Stalling by O'Neal but given that Busic is called one of the hardest hitting women world wide I can't blame her. O'Neal clips the legs and hits a drop kick. O'Neal celebrate but takes a clothesline than an Yakuza kick. On' Neal bails to the outside. O'Neal tries to trip Busic but gets a back shop. O'Neal gets out of firemen's carry by going to the eyes. O'Neal workers over the leg. Inverted figure four by O'Neal. Busic gets the ropes. O'Neal lets the hold go and tires to pull Busic back but gets kicked off. Samoan drop by Wesna. O'Neal avoids a running Yakuza and kicks at Wesna and chokes her with the good to the throat. Big forearm with Wesna than kicks to the back. Forearm exchange as Prazak admits O'Neal is hanging righter i there with Busic. O'Neal with an STO. O'Neal goes over the back but winds up in the perfect spot for a CB4 Driver for the win by Wesna. Very good match. Sadly it wasn't to long after this that Wesna suffered a career ending injury. O'Neal still wrestles.

SHIMMER Tag Team Championship Gauntlet- To be honest I think this should be the main event. I know in my ROH reviews I'm all over the company for not having the world champion main event but here I think you can make an exception. It was a big deal a new championship. You had a lot of great talent in this match as well. Plus on the DVD cover the tag title match is the featured event on the DVD. I've heard some bash the idea of the Gauntlet being used to determine a new champion but I'm ok with the idea is anyone team that could outlast the others should be champions and if you want to protect one team have the enter early get some wins and than lose but claim they only lost because of having to be first.

The Canadian Ninjas Portia Perez and Nichole Mathews vs The Pink Ladies Madison Eagles and Jessie McKay- The Ninjas would no doubt be SHIMMER's top team over it's history but I kind of feel it's like Roderick Strong being MR. ROH don't get me worn there talented but that is mainly I see why TNA or WWE never picked them up. The Pink Ladies are out of Australia and I assume passed on the ring jackets they wore they got there name from the Movie Grease. Eagles would eventually wing he SHIMMER Championship but this was where debut witch makes me wonder why they are the match to crown the new champions. Might be SHIMMER had big plans for them. Eagles and Matthews start us off. McKay calls for a test of strength right off the bat. The Smaller Matthews can't reach up and do it. Perez who is smaller comes in to try. Finally Perez climbs on Matthews shoulders but Eagles just stomps on the foot. . Wrist lock and rope walk for a arm drag by Eagles. Fight offer position for the writ lock. Matthews gets. Tag to McKay and to Perez. More wrist lock exchanges only Perez can't do the fancy flips until the she grabs onto the referee for help. Arm breakers by and a short am Lariat by McKay tag to Eagles. Double clothes lines by the Pink Ladies who are mainly wearing black by the way. Drop kick by Eagles tag to McKay. Back breaker by Eagles and a diving clothesline by McKay get two. Perez rakes the eyes and rams McKay to the corner tag to Matthews. Back breaker by Matthews. The Ninjas use the ropes to choke McKay. Tag back to Perez who hits a back elbow. Perez with a snap mare into a chin lock McKay Fights free. Perez uses that hair to take McKay down. Tag back to Matthews who hits a snap suplex for two. Sloppy wheel barrow into a roll up by both McKay and Matthews. Awful looking sunset flip by McKay. Tag to Perez. And the worst looking O'Conner roll by McKay. Tag back to Matthews McKay with an enziaure putting both women down. Tag to Eagles and to Perez. Running forearms by Eagles than a lariat for both Ninjas. Hell bound by Eagles (Death Valley driver onto a knee) by Eagles on Perez but Matthews makes the save on the pin. Eagles sent to the floor. Superkick by Perez as Matthews hits a German with a bridge for the win. Lots of sloppy spots by McKay who was the least experienced wrestler in the ring.

The Canadian Ninjas vs The Suicide Blondes LuFisto and Jennifer Blake- The Blondes were out of Canada and LuFisto was known for doing a lot of Hardcore wrestling. Blondes jumps the Ninjas at the start. Prazak tells us this is the Blondes debut as a team in SHIMMER so again I wonder why are they are in the match to crown the first tag champions the other teams were set up as tag teams in SHIMMER. Matthews with chops to Blake who fires back. LuFisto se send Matthews back into the ring and hits some elbows. Blake sends Perez into the ring post. Northern Lights by LuFisto gets two.  Tag to Blake. Double clothesline by the Blonds. Splash by Blake and Senton by LuFisto. LuFisto picks up Blake and a DVD that plants Blake on Matthews. Head scissors by Blake sends Matthews to the floor.Bulldog by Blake back in the ring. Drop toe hold by Matthews and Blake eats the turnbuckles and than gets racked across the rope. Tag to Perez and a double team beat down by the Ninjas. Love lace choker by Perez witch is a shot at her rival Alison Danger who was out of action. Tag to Matthews  who hits a great looking dropkick. LuFisto into the ring and while the referee deals with her allowing for a double team by the Ninjas. Tag to Perez who locks in a chin lock. Blake fights free and gets Perez in an airplane spin. And Perez never falls over once it's over yet Blake does and crawls for the cover. And this isn't a small thing I'm nit picking Blake does a move that puts her down yet Perez doesn't so not only does it make the move look bad it's makes Perez look stupid because she just let Blake make a tag. In come LuFisto with a big forearm. Head trap suplex by LuFisto.  Matthews in with an Enzigure. Matthews takes time to pose allowing Blake to him in his and hint the glimmering warlock. Headbuts by LuFisto than double knees to the face. Perez is left alone with the blondes. Face wash by LuFisto on Perez. Power bomb lung blow combo by the Blondes on Matthews for the win. Better than the first match. Outside of Perez never falling down and I may have missed but I don't' think Matthews ever tagged back in legally before she got pinned than agin that could be a storyline reason to give the Ninjas a reason to both

The Suicide Blondes vs The International Home Wrecking Crew Rain and Jetta- Jetta out of the UK and when Lacey retired as a wrestler she started teaming with Rain. All four women brawl to start. Kobashi style chops by the Blondes. The Crew try to slap the blonds but they just eat clothesline. Rain and Blake in the ring when it gets down one on one. Knee to the back by Jetta who than tags in. Jetta chokes Blake before tagging back to Rain. Jetta back in no tag and covers and gets two. Jetta argues it was three and I don't mean the usual "that was three." I mean she kepis yelling about it. Clothesline by Jetta. Tag to Rain and hits some forearms and some knees. Tag back to Jetta  who hits a big chop. Blake first back with chops of own Rain tag back and locks in a modified camel clutch. Cannonball by Rain. Double lariat puts both women down. Tag to Jetta tag to LuFisto. Michinoku driver by LuFisto. Tag to Blade who hits a cross body. LuFisto charges at Rain who just pulls the rope down so LuFisto crashes to the floor. Jetta appears to be bleeding from the mouth. Double knees by Rain on Blake than a strangle hold lung blower by Jetta. LuFisto into make the save. Another Michinoku driver. Rain again send LuFisto to the corner. Jetta with a pair of knuckles KO's Blake for the win. I do question the logic if having Blake back in so soon after a long beating but other wise it's fine.

The International Home Wrecking Crew vs Ashley Lane and Nevaeh- Lane is better known as Madison Rayne and Nevaeh has worked for CZW and HWA among others. The Crew had picked up a cheap win over Lane and Nevaeh back on Volume 20 and previously Lane and Nevaeh had upset Rain and Lacey. Quick roll ups, than back slides, than jackknifes by Lane an Nevaeh all gets two. Nevaeh with a ruling neck snap on Rain gets two. Cheap shot by Jetta and Rain with a clothesline. Tag to Jetta who hits a neck breaker. Jetta chokes Nevaeh before tagging Rain. Drop toe hold by Jetta and and elbow to the back by Rain. Chin lock by Rain. Rain rubs Nevaeh faces into the ground an than tags Jetta who stands on the throat.  Senton by Jetta gets two. Tag to Rain who comes in with big knee strikes. Tag back Jetta who attacks the back. Nevaeh powers free and Lane. Clothes lines and drop kick gets two. Kick to the gut by Jetta who sets up for the strange hold lung blow but Lane fights free. Blind tag by Rain. Lung blower off the top rope by Rain but only gets two. Lane sends Rain into Jetta follows it up with a bull dog the gets two. Yakuza kick STO combo by Lane and Nevaeh for the win. Good match actually you had the youngest team (McKay was the least experienced  in the gauntlet but Eagles had been wrestling seven years) pulling off an upset on team they already had an issue with and of course now the face the most explained team in the whole match.

Finals: Ashley Lane and Nevaeh vs The Experience Lexi Fyfe & Malia Hoska- As you can the by the name the Experience were the most experienced team on the roster.  Fyfe had been wrestling since 1995 getting her big break wit OMEGA the company Matt and Jeff Hardy started before joining the WWF Sadly she would most be known by causal fans for appearing on Raw playing Hilary Clinton in a segment with fake Obama. Hoska got started in 1987 11 months after I was born to put in prospective. She's worked for the LPWA, ECW. She made a few appearances for WCW in the late 90's and was under a WWF contract from what I understand there were plans to debut as a "Female Rocky" story at one point that never came to pass there was also talk of paring her with a wrestler named Essa Rios but that role went to Lita instead. Lane with one of those great facial reactions she does even know as Madison when the Experience music hits as if to say what we have gotten into. Prazak talks about how dominated the Experience have been in tag team matches. Lane and Nevaeh bring the Experience in over the ropes. Double sling shots and than again by Lane and Nevaeh. Double team drop kick on Fyfe gets two. Cross body by Nevaeh gets two.  Tag to Lane who lock in a worst lock that gets reversed tag to Hoska. Hoska with a head scissors. Hoska screams "What do you say now Rookie?" tag to Nevaeh double team side russian leg sweep after a double arm drag by Lane and Nevaeh. Hokas back in control Fyfe chokes Nevaeh and than a Yakuza by Hoska. Double Team clothesline by The Experience gets two.Flying double threat by Hoska who than stands o the hair and pulls the hair. Tag to Fyfe. The Experience sets for a double team board buster but Lane comes in and nails Fyfe from behind. Legal tag to Lane. Fyfe nails some hard shots to the stomach and than tags back in Hoska. Double team set again but this Nevaeh makes the save. Lane with an O'Conner roll gets two. Big boot by Hoska and than a couple of snap suplex. Prazak mentions the Experience beat Lane and Nevaeh back in there debut. Tag to Fyfe who hits a side walks slam and than back breaker before stretching her. Lane sent into the corner tag to Hoska who hits a headbutt. Hoska picks Lane up but takes a head scissors. Tag is cut off. Tag back to Fyfe. Cannonball on the back by Fyfe who than locks in a camel clutch. Fyfe changes it up and does the pendulum into Hoska's boot. Hoska in with no tag and puts the boots to Lane.  Tag to Fyfe  and again they set for the double gord buster. Nevaeh makes the save but the Experience hit clotheslines to remain in control. Fyfe goes for a TKO but Lane gets free and makes the tag to Nevaeh. Hoska cuts off the STO and Yakuza comb.Fyfe hits the TKO an covers but Lane pulls her off. Lane sent to the floor. Nevaeh reverses a whip so Hoska spin kicks Fyfe. Lane pulls Hoska out of the ring. Yakuza STO combs for the upset win.  Very good match best one of the series. Definite story the Experience were the heel veteran team with no respect for the younger girls The Ohio Girls were the never say underdogs the managed to stun everyone. despite  there inexperience Lane and Nevaeh were a great young team that worked all together hell I'm actually kind of shocked given where Lane has gone int the business that Nevaeh hasn't gotten more of a chance.

Number 1 Contender Four Corner Survival Cheerleader Melissa vs Amazing Kong vs Mercedes Martinez vs Ariel- Same rules as  ROH FCS the only difference it works under lucha rules where if you leave another wrestler can come in with no tag. I've talked about Melissa and Kong before during TNA reviews. Martinez was out of the northeast and had worked for SHIMMER for years she also is one of the top women in WSU and has appeared for ROH and EVOVE. Ariel was the youngest girl in the match and had the least ring time plus she was the smallest wrestlers in the match. She was also getting a big underdog face push. Let me say this right now Kong's indy theme was awful it was a dance song and why it would fit a lot women not the freaking Monster that is Amazing Kong it be like  Abyss come out James Taylor it just kills the mode such monster style gimmick should have. Ariel jumps on Kong back right way and gets tossed off. The other three all jump Kong who powers off. Kong whips Ariel and Melissa into the ring came corner and goes for an avalanche but Melissa moves leaving Ariel to take the move solo. Kong takes down Martinez and Melissa with a double clothesline. Kong goes for a hip check on Ariel but the youngster moves. Double team forearms by Melissa and Martinez. All there girls splash Kong. Down to Martinez and Ariels and Double M works one the small girl. Arm drag by Ariel than and a second one out of position. Head Scissors by Ariel take Martinez down and she goes to the floor. Melissa in but Ariel ducks the clothesline. Hard shoulder tackle by Melissa. Running elbow in the corner by Melissa than hair drag. Martinez back in and hits a kick to Melissa's chest. Martinez knocks Kong off the apron. Rope elevation neck breaker by Martinez gets two. Ariel with a rana that gets two before Kong breaks up the pin. Kong chokes slams Ariels but than takes a double ax handle by Melissa off the top rope. Kong right up. Double drop kick by Martinez and Melissa sends Kong to the floor. Ariel with clothesline for both Martinez and Melissa and than a double noggin knocker. Ariel with a top turn buckle dive to the floor on Kong. Ariel crotched not he top rope and we get the tower of doom when Kong power bombs Melissa and Martinez. Kong with lariats for Melissa and Martinez. Kong slams Martinez onto Melissa. Implant Buster by Kong gets two when Martinez makes the save. Martinez ducks the Kong backlist and turns the power bomb into a face buster. Kong to the floor. Martinez with a fishermen's buster on Melissa. Ariel makes the save. Kong pulls Martinez to the floor and sends her to the guard rail. Ariel with a cutter for the win. Ok match but awful pick to win. I get that with someone like Kong you have to limit the number of times she challenges for the title and not win it. I get that Melissa already had feud with MsChif during the early days of the company and any shots should be built to long term. I get Martinez just had a shot at MsChif at the last taping but Ariel is one of those girls you just know has zero chance to win and to be honest she was still a ways away before she look ready to main event even one DVD Volume.

Before the main event we get footage of the previous match MsChif and Daziee Haze at Volume 14. These two actually got there start out of St. Louis area and feud there. The Video is pretty well done giving each girl equal highlights with them in control. We also see the girls using the other signature moves at points and we see Haze picked up the win showing she had beat the champion once . We than get footage of Haze at Volume 19 explains she could't wrestle at that show due to injures to her back. The Haze promised she would be back for Volume 21 and made the challenge for a shot at the SHIMMER title.

SHIMMER Championship MsChif vs Daizee Haze- MsChif had won the title back at Volume 18 while I believe at this point no one had main evented more SHIMMER shows than Haze she did main event a large number of the early shows I know for sure. Wrist lock by Daziee is reversed after a punch to the stomach. Hammer lock into a head lock than back to the wrist lock by Haze. MsChif into a side head lock but Haze gets back the hammer lock Shanpmare by MsChif and gets a two count on a press. Haze drops some knees onto MsChif's arm. Arm drag into an armbar by Haze. Roll up by MsChif gets two but Haze keeps control of the arm. Drop toe hold by Dazie and ties up the arm and drop back. Drop toe hold by MsChif who than ties up the legs. Haze escapes and gets a front face lock. MsChif rolls but both girls shoulders are down getting two. Head lock by Haze but MsChif uses forearms to the back. Shoulder blocks by MsChif but a hip toss by Haze. A drop toe hold by Haze than into the head lock. MsChif with the head scissors. Headstand escape back to the head lock by Haze a great exchange there. Back the head scissors by MsChif Haze nips up to escape. Arm drag exchange sweep of the leg exchange to a stalemate. Crucifix by Haze gets two back to the hammer lock. Chops in the corner by Haze. Haze sets up for the purple Haze but MsChif cuts here off and takes her down with a chop and than ties her up. Haze tries to crucifix and gets get two. Mschif stretches the back and pulls Haze arm in a post in to choke her with hit. Vertical suplex by MsChif who rolls through to pound on Haze. Standing moonsault by MsChif gets two. O'Conner roll by Haze gets two. MsChif reverses for two of her own. Haze counters into a inverted crab and than turns it into Gates of Hell a move MsChif uses. The Champion escapes but winds up in a modified Surfboard. MsChif escapes and locks the same hold in. MsChif ties up the arm and pulls back on the leg in a standing position. Haze use punches to free herself and hits an enziquri. Running cloth line than an below by Haze. Northern lights suplex by Haze gets two. MsChif blocks the monkey flip and drives Haze face first into the ring post. MsChif with a rolling death valley driver off the top and covers. Haze gets the ropes at two. Haze manages to hit Code Green another one of MsChif moves and also the move that won the match at Volume 14 but it only gets two here. Haze sets MsChif on the top rope and goes for a top rope rana. MsChif holds on and Haze crashes to the mat. MsChif with Shadows over Hell back splash gets two. MsChif sets up for Obliteration but Haze blocks. Haze sets for the Heart punch but MsChif goes through the legs and hits chemical imbalance two. Haze counters a whip and hits the hart punch followed up the running Yakuza kick. Haze cover and MsChif kicks at two. Haze can't believe it. Mind trip by Haze is blocked but she gets a roll up that only gets two. MsChif with gate way to annihilation gets two after counter a inverted DDT. Both women back up but Haze scores first with kick to the gut. Backslide by Haze gets two. Desecrator by MsChif for the win. Great match. Some amazing counter wrestling out of these two wrestlers that knew each other so well. That wasn't a sloppy spot once in the who match. Post match MsChif helps Haze up and hugs her.

And we close with Serena Deeb backstage issuing a challenge for one more match with Sara Del Rey.  MsChif interrupts and says that if Deeb can beat Del Rey she will give her a title shot. Decent promo to close on and get people interested in Volume 22.

SHIMMER 21 is a very good show. The main event and the overall tag team gauntlet really stand out. Its so refreshing to watch women athletes actually be allowed to wrestle like this hell I would argue Del Rey, Kong, MsChif, and others from SHIMMER are as good as any male wrestlers I've seen. Production is very well done and it's up there with any other good indy I've seen hell I would say I prefer miles ahead of the Hardcore Homecoming show I watched a while back . My only issue is Prazak flies  solo on this Volume. His normal color commentator Allison Danger was selling her injury from a previous show and why I respect that I do think he needed someone with him just to point out things he may not have seen. SHIMMER 21 is recommended and I also hope people check out SHINE as well.
