Sports Legacy Institute honoring WWE

The Sports Legacy Institute will present WWE with the 2013 Impact Award, which recognizes the company's commitment to solving the concussion epidemic, according to an SLI press release. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon will be present at the awards dinner on October 23 at the Boston Harbor Hotel.

"Our partnership with SLI is a key component of WWE’s talent health and wellness program,” Paul Levesque (a/k/a Triple H) stated in a press release. "Talent is the only natural resource that WWE has, and we are committed to their well-being."

WWE donated $1.2 million for a Boston University CTE treatment program, and the press release notes that every WWE performer is required to attend an SLI "Conquering Concussions" seminar that is led by former WWE wrestler and SLI executive director Chris Nowinski.
