Regarding the statement by WWE issued earlier today on Michael Hayes, a report this week by Dave Meltzer stated that Hayes (real name Michael Seitz) was sent home several weeks ago by WWE. Hayes got in trouble years ago for using the "N" word during a conversation with Mark Henry that became public and lost his Vice President title as a result. Hayes remained with WWE creative and was told to "stay out of bars" as one of the many stipulations for remaining with the company.
Hayes broke the "stay out of bars" rule according to a WWE source we spoke with. This same source indicated that it didn't appear to be serious enough for him to lose his job describing his current status with the company as "safe."
As reported on earlier today, WWE issued a statement to the wrestling media noting that Hayes was "taking a leave of absence for personal reasons."
