Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com is reporting that WWE will be ending its overrun for RAW on Monday night beginning with the show this week on November 12.
In a practice that dates back to the 1990s during the Monday Night War era, RAW would normally run anywhere from five to 15 minutes over in the final hour of the show.
That appears to be ending starting with this Monday night as the show will have a “hard out” at 11:00 p.m. Eastern/10:00 CT. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports this move was made after RAW drew its second lowest hour in the shows history this year.
Historically, the overrun had a pattern of being the most watch segment. That has changed drastically over the years for RAW on cable, especially during the era of the show moving to three hours and with the first hour typically now drawing the strongest audience.
Opinionated View- What they really need to do is get rid of the third hour
