- Out to the ring is Eli Drake and Chris Adonis, both in suits and with celebratory cigars. Drake on the mic, he says fourteen years he's traveled all over the world and now he has the title. Drake says looking at the title it pisses him it took him this long to get it. Drake gloats about his win and that no one - not even Jim Cornette - could keep him away from the championship. Out to the ring comes Johnny Impact, who tells Drake that he and everyone in the back are sick of him running his mouth. "Take it from me, a guy who's had more names than you have had titles," says Impact. He wants the title and now out comes Eddie Edwards.

Edwards gets on the mic and says he knows to get chances, you need to speak up, so he's speaking up. Edwards then lets Impact that because he's been a world champion in GFW, he outranks Impact and he wants a shot at the title. Drake stirs the pot between Impact and Edwards, but out comes Cornette to fix things. Cornette says tonight it will be Edwards/Impact vs. Adonis/Drake and if Drake's team wins, he doesn't have to defend the title. If Impact or Edwards gets the pin, they get a title shot.
- Backstage, Allie introduces herself to a disinterested Taryn Terrell and wonders why Taryn was so mean to Gail Kim. Taryn says it's been bothering her and wondered if Allie could give Kim a message, Allie agrees, and gets beat up by Taryn. "Make sure that message gets delivered, okay?"

Action goes to the floor and Lee gets involved by choking Williams before throwing him back in the ring. Konley goes to work on Williams and goes for a pin, two-count. Konley in complete control of this one at the moment goes for a number of pins and just can't put Williams away. Williams with some kicks and chops, drops Konley on his face, goes for a pin, but no luck. Williams calls for the Canadian Destroyer, gets countered, Konley up for a moonsault, misses. Williams gets distracted by Lee on the apron, Williams tosses Konley to send Lee to the floor and then hits a hurricanrana to take out Lee. Canadian Destroyer hits and that's enough to get the win.

- Post-match, Lee instantly attacks Williams, but out comes Sonjay Dutt to clear the ring.
- Backstage, we see Richard Justice who finally has a match.
- Backstage, Taryn and Sienna are chatting it up, Karen Jarrett tried to break up the fun. She's not happy with how Taryn attacked both Gail and Allie. Jarrett then books a tag match for next week Sienna/Taryn vs. Kim/Allie.

Low Ki vs. James Storm
Low Ki with a quick strike, surprising Storm. He's able to get off to a good start before Storm recovers and uses his power to slow his opponent down. The rest of LAX watches closely as Diamante yanks Storm off the second rope and LAX strikes. Thanks to that assist, Low Ki is able to get control back, number of kicks to floor Storm, pin, two-count. Storm with a comeback, inverted atomic drop, clothesline, kick to the back of the head, side Russian leg sweep, pin, two! Storm tries to monkey flip Low Ki who lands on the second turnbuckle and hits a double stomp, pin, two. Plenty of back and forth action, Low Ki goes for Warrior's Way, misses. Storm hits Eye of the Storm, pin, Low Ki kicks out! Ortiz jumps up on the apron, trying to get Storm's attention. Ref distracted, Santana hits Storm with the title, Low Ki with a Warrior's Way and that will do it.

- Some random room, Grado and Laurel Van Ness are flirting as Joseph Park goes over a checklist of wedding items. As they are going over said items, they realize Van Ness is actually from Canada, not the U.S., which won't help Grado's issues of staying in the country.
- AAA Star, Pagano, is coming soon to GFW.
- Taya Valkyrie is coming next week. Also next week, Trevor Lee and Caleb Konley vs. Petey Williams and Sonjay Dutt.
- Lashley sits with his American Top Team group and talks about whether he should stay with wrestling or go. His coach tells him now is the time to be in MMA, Lashley doesn't want the door to close on wrestling if he ends up becoming a champion in MMA. Nothing is really settled.
Eli Drake and Chris Adonis vs. Johnny Impact and Eddie Edwards
Edwards and Adonis start things off, but Impact is brought in first. Adonis ends up getting the best of him and tags in the new champion, quick tags back and forth with Adonis and Drake as they both keep Impact down. Edwards with a splash to the outside taking out Drake. Impact with a corkscrew over the top rope, flattening Adonis. Action back in the ring with Adonis hitting a bodyslam on Impact who has taken a real beating in this match, he just can't get Edwards into the match.
Impact finally gets a tag, but ref was distracted by Adonis, so out goes Edwards. Drake and Adonis working well together, lot of double team moves, keeping total control in the ring. Edwards tries to get the crowd to encourage Impact as he works his way out of a headlock. Edwards finally is tagged in and lands a number of moves on Adonis including a blue thunder bomb, cover, two. Drake is brought in, Edwards goes to the top and is distracted by Adonis. Drake runs, leaps up to the top rope and hits a beautiful superplex all in one motion. Edwards can't get much going against Drake or Adonis at first, but Edwards hits a suplex to work his way back into this one. Crowd is fully behind Edwards as he is able to crawl his way to Impact. Huge springboard splash and superkicks on both wrestlers.
Impact sets Drake up in the corner, Adonis runs in, Impact flips over him. Double neckbreaker, pin, two! Impact back to the top rope, takes too long, leaps, but lands on his feet. Edwards is sent to the floor. Drake and Adonis go to work on Impact, pin, two. Everyone taking shots at each other now. Edwards with a top rope hurricanrana, Impact hits the Thursday Night Delight (corkscrew elbow), Adonis breaks up the pin. Adonis is taken out to the floor, Impact follows. Cornette announces it will be Matt Sydal vs. Eli Drake next week for the GFW Championship. Sydal won his chance at a title at Destination X and decided to go for the GFW Championship. Eli Drake isn't happy, Lashley isn't happy, and we're out!

GFW signs agreement to keep Impact on Pop TV in 2018 per report

Anthem and GFW have have to terms on a new agreement with Pop TV to continue carrying Impact in 2018 according to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Impact has been on the network since 2016 after a rough two years for the company in it’s prior regime under TNA Wrestling. Impact was pushed off Spike TV in late 2014 after a nearly 10 year run on the network. The company then announced a TV deal with Destination America that barely lasted a full year before announcing in November of 2015 that they had come to terms with the CBS Corporation to run the show on Pop TV.
All first-run editions of Impact in 2016 averaged 310,000 viewers, with that number dipping to an average of 292,000 viewers in 2017 so far. Pop TV is currently estimated to be in around 73.8 million homes in the United States. The company’s current television deals in the UK (Spike TV) and India (Sony Six) were described as the “main revenue source” when it comes to television distribution as things stand right now.
The company is continuing to operate on a very limited budget under Anthem, with the latest set of TV tapings being a prime example where they taped enough TV to get them to the first week of November for the upcoming Bound for Glory PPV.

Opinionated View- Well typical of Dave he takes some good news for GFW and tries to spin it as bad some how. But lets be happy the best wrestling  show is staying put on TV.

Sexy Star Comments On Rosemary Incident

As noted, over the weekend Sexy Star purposefully injured Rosemary's shoulder at the end of their Reina de Reinas Championship Match (which also included Lady Shani & Ayako Hamada) at AAA's TripleMania XXV event. Since then, Rosemary has responded to what happened, commenting that Sexy Star tried to say it was a work, which Rosemary wanted to make very clear that it wasn't. While a number of wrestling stars have reacted to the incident, Sexy Star has already felt the backlash, getting pulled from a WrestleCade Weekend event.

In the video above, on a reality show Sexy Star was asked about the incident and here was here response, which is translated roughly from Spanish (originally from rderudo.com) according to PWInsider.
"This have been very difficult days for me," Sexy Star said. "Last Saturday, I was in a championship fight; was very hard. I think everything got out of hand. I don't know, I am still confused with the situation. I'd like to remain quiet and when the time is right I will speak on the subject. Men and women want to finish me, make me retire from the sport. I am still here, as I stated in the beginning, I will not stop representing all those women that have been mistreated physically or psychologically. I believe that I have to stronger. If at a moment I went through depression and got out of it, I will also get out of this one. I was doing what I had to do, what the people deserved, to go all in clawing until the end. That's what happened, I submitted her. It appears the girl is injured, I don't know, [it] is not something I am aware off. That's all I can say."

Opinionated View- You know I do that whole Worse Person in the world thing as joke to have some fun but now I think I need to retire it. Because I think Sexy Star has now locked it up fore all times. First you were not in a championship fight you were in a wrestling match. And why I don't know what the exact state of Kayfab in Mexico is I am going to assume that much like the USA the secret is pretty much out. So no weren't in a fight so don't act like it. Second maybe everyone did get out of hand but you are the one that appears to have a history of doing this in matches. Third the whole line of BS about representing women. Because you now have abused someone.

GFW Issues Statement on Sexy Star Shooting on Rosemary

Saturday night Sexy Star defended the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at Triplemania XXV against Lady Shani, Rosemary and Ayako Hamado, and she legitimately injured Rosemary during the match after she locked in an armbar and continued to apply pressure after Rosemary tapped out.

Rosemary later issued a statement of her own confirming that the incident was not a work, and she was legitimately injured by Sexy Star during the match. It looks like the incident has hurt Sexy Star’s reputation in a big way, as quite a few stars from the wrestling world have condemned her actions on social media over the past few days.

GFW released a statement which addressed the incident, and the statement reads as follows:
“It was an honor for GFW to be invited to participate in TripleMania XXV, held this past weekend in Mexico City. The AAA talent that we have worked with have been consummate professionals and the company organized and delivered an extraordinary event, in which both DJZ and Andrew Everett had spectacular showings following their recent surgeries. While the incident with Sexy Star marred an outstanding show, AAA executives have confirmed to us that appropriate measures are being taken in respect of this incident. Both AAA and Sexy Star have apologized to Rosemary. It is time to focus on the positives of the weekend (TripleMania XXV outrated the other sports entertainment event on Saturday evening in Mexico; Eddie Edwards became the first gaijin to win the GHC Heavyweight title at NOAH) and look forward to building our relationship with AAA and NOAH to bring an ever improving wrestling product to our fans.”

Rosemary gives an injury update following incident with Sexy Star

GFW star Rosemary posted the following injury update from her incident with Sexy Star at this past weekend’s AAA Triplemania event, noting that she sustained a strained bicep/tricep from Star legitimately putting her in an armbar in the finish of the match they were involved in.

8.29 WWE 205 Live Report

WWE 205 Live results, Aug. 29, 2017: Was Enzo Amore a team player in The Land of the Cruiserweights?

On the latest episode of WWE 205 Live, Enzo Amore teamed up with Cedric Alexander and Gran Metalik in an effort to prove he can compete with some of the best the Cruiserweight division has to offer. Plus, The Brian Kendrick set out to prove himself right about Gentleman Jack Gallagher.

The Brian Kendrick def. Gentleman Jack Gallagher – No Disqualification Match

After spending a few weeks worried about an attack from Gentleman Jack Gallagher, The Brian Kendrick evened the psychological playing field with his aggressive nemesis one week ago. Prior to their slated Gentlemen’s Duel, Kendrick had a clown engage Gallagher and then used the distraction to launch an attack on his own. This week, The Man with a Plan looked to use a No Disqualification Match to prove to Gentleman Jack and the WWE Universe that he is the better competitor.
Both Gallagher and Kendrick made their way to the ring with laser sharp focus, but as Kendrick began screaming at his opponent after the opening bell, Gallagher remained stoic – refusing to let The Man with a Plan gain a psychological advantage. However, when Kendrick charged forward, Gallagher attacked, backing Kendrick into a corner before using his umbrella to drive The Man with a Plan from the ring.
Outside the ring, the two rivals battled among the WWE Universe, with Gallagher’s aggression giving him a clear and decisive advantage. The British Superstar methodically attacked Kendrick, using foreign objects and the environment in the arena to his advantage. Kendrick struggled to mount any offense until he struck with a Kendo stick as Gallagher prepared the announce table.
The Man with a Plan then took control of the bout, using the steel steps to stun his opponent before tying Gallagher up to the ring apron and attacking with the Kendo stick. The damage was done as Kendrick’s rage took over, forcing the official to check Gallagher’s condition.
After the official allowed Gallagher to continue, Kendrick drove Gallagher into the ring bell with a DDT before locking in The Captain’s Hook, using the Kendo stick as leverage and securing the win.

Rich Swann def. Ariya Daivari

Two weeks ago on WWE 205 Live, Rich Swann was distracted during his match with Ariya Daivari when TJP emerged with an apparent leg injury. The distraction was enough for The Persian Lion to claim victory, despite The Duke of Dab’s claims he did not intend for Swann to lose the match. Last week, TJP claimed that he suffered the leg injury during the last match between the two, citing that their rivalry had gone too far, ultimately encouraging Swann to focus on defeating Daivari this week.
As the match got underway, TJP joined Corey Graves and Vic Joseph on commentary, providing an update on his injured knee and noting that the rivalry between he and Swann is, for all intents and purposes, over. Despite both having a win against the other, The Duke of Dab made note that he was the victor of the war.
Inside the ring, Swann and Daivari battled back and forth, Swann using his incredible speed to equalize his opponent’s strength and aggressive tendencies. However, Daivari took control of the match by driving Swann face-first into the announce table. Tossing Swann back into the ring, The Persian Lion took TJP’s crutch and made his way back toward the ring.
In an effort to save his friend, The Duke of Dab grabbed the crutch, leading to a second staredown with Daivari. Refocusing his attention on the match, The Persian Lion bolted back into the ring but Swann rolled him up for the win.
Irate, Daivari charged at The Fil-Am Flash. However, when the pair made it back into the ring, TJP was suddenly without injury – to the surprise of Rich Swann and the WWE Universe. After leaving Daivari down, TJP tried to celebrate with Swann, who simply handed The Duke of Dab his crutch and left the ring both confused and suspicious. TJP then added insult to injury and nailed Daivari with The Detonation Kick, proving he was fully healed, if injured at all.

Enzo Amore, Cedric Alexander & Gran Metalik def. Tony Nese, Drew Gulak & Noam Dar

Since announcing his presence on WWE 205 Live in front of WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville last week, Enzo Amore has been looking to make waves and shake up the entire Cruiserweight division. On Raw, he defeated Noam Dar, marking his first official victory as a Cruiserweight. Before teaming with Cedric Alexander and Gran Metalik tonight, Enzo held an impromptu strategy session that appeared to make his tag team partners a bit cautiously optimistic about The Certified G’s plan.
Before the match got underway, Enzo made sure to show off his gift of gab to the delight of the WWE Universe, insulting his three opponents. The Realest Guy in the Room started the match against Drew Gulak, who wanted nothing more than to demonstrate his technical prowess against the loudmouthed Superstar.
Just as rivals Cedric Alexander and Tony Nese were tagged in, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville was shown observing the battle from the locker room. Alexander used his incredible speed to his advantage, leaving Nese reeling before tagging Enzo back into the ring. The Premier Athlete then turned the tables and began to berate Enzo for joining the Cruiserweight division. However, Enzo quickly recovered and scored a near-fall before an all-out brawl between all six Superstars broke loose. Alexander and Metalik added an exclamation point with a synchronized high-risk move to the outside, but as Enzo prepared to follow suit, The Premier Athlete regained control.
Enzo struggled to regain an offensive advantage and was even mocked by Nese Cedric Alexander tagged himself back in. Despite a fast-paced assault from Alexander, Nese took advantage of a distraction from Dar, giving The Premier Athlete the advantage. As Enzo tried to get involved, he inadvertently distracted the referee, allowing The Scottish Supernova to unload on Alexander.
Battling through an offensive from Gulak, Alexander managed to tag in Gran Metalik who immediately put on a lucha libre clinic at the expense of Nese. Unfortunately for Metalik, Gulak pulled Nese away from a high-risk move. However, Alexander took down Gulak and Nese, allowing Metalik to make the tag to The Certified G.
Fired up, Enzo took down both Nese and Dar. After rolling The Scottish Supernova out of the ring, Enzo countered a pinfall from The Premier Athlete with one of his own – using the ropes as leverage – to pick up a hard-fought victory for his team

One year later and here he is, not a champion like he should be because Shane has screwed him twice. Owens says this would've never happened back in the good 'ol days when he was on RAW because you'd never see the lovely Stephanie McMahon abuse her power in such a disgusting way. Owens goes on ranting about Shane until the music hits and out comes the Commissioner.
Shane speaks from the stage and says he's not here to help Owens. It was Owens who picked the special referee for last week, Corbin. - Dasha Fuentes is backstage with Dolph Ziggler. She asks what we can expect for the new side of him tonight. Ziggler says we can expect nothing because what he has in mind is going to take a little longer. He rants on becoming nothing more than an afterthought when he's really a star. He once again takes shots at various WWE gimmicks, including Finn Balor by calling him a charisma vacuum. Ziggler says all the years of dedication and sacrifice have meant nothing so if we want all flash and no substance, that's what we will get... next week.
