5/2 Omega Wrestling results

1. D'Andre Jackson defeated "Man Scout" Jake Manning. A fun opening match, Jackson is way over with the kids in the crowd. He proceeded to lead the crowd with "Girl scout" and "Where's my cookies?" chants. After some comedy spots, Jackson hit the Man Scout with a running powerslam for the win.
Mike Maverick (?) came out to made an announcement regarding the OMEGA championship being vacated due to Jeff's injury. He continued by saying that the main event is now a three way dance for the title between CW Anderson, Trevor Lee, and Matt Hardy. Big pops for Lee and Hardy.
Shane Dawson interrupted and complained about not being in the match. Maverick informed Dawson that Jeff has handpicked an opponent for him. Magnus from TNA came out to a nice ovation. Cool surprise.
2. Magnus beat Shane Dawson. Good Back and forth. The crowd loved Magnus. Dawson is very talented with good, natural heel heat and mic skills but he looks like a Brat Wyatt ripoff. Magnus hit an elbow for a good near fall. Dawson scored his own near fall shortly after with a side walk slam. A few moments later, Magnus hit his finisher for the clean victory.
A special ring announcer was introduced. Couldn't catch her name.
3. "The Southern Savior"John Skylar defeated Andrew Everett. Quick exchanges from both to start. Skylar used basic heel tactics for cheap heat throughout (back raking, eye poking, etc). Everett's leg was braced which leads Skyler to target it and slow the pace. Around the halfway mark, Skyler went for an Irish whip but Everett fell to sell the leg work. Everett cleared Skyler from the ring and hit an impressive Asai moonsault to the outside that wowed the gym. Skyler came back on the apron and hit a cool spear through the ropes spot for a two count. Everett hit an enziguri to a German suplex for another good near fall. He followed up with an impressive Pele kick and climbs the turnbuckle. Skyler bumped the ropes to send him off. Skyler connected with Sliced Bread #2 that he calls Saving Grace for the win. I look forward to seeing more from both of wrestlers here. Great match.
4. Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander over The Bravado Brothers. This match is gonna be sick. Two of the best teams on the indies today. It's a damn shame WWE is working with Los Matadores and The Ascension. Standard back and forth tag match at the beginning with Coleman and Alexander getting the best of the brothers with some cool flashy offense. Eventually the heels isolated Alexander. Lots of quick tags but he eventually made the hot tag to Coleman. Coleman rushed in and cleaned house. Coleman hit Trinity (a three amigos type suplex using a northern lights suplex that he rolls through... Extremely impressive). All four hit the ring for some awesome finishing type sequences with near falls for days! Great stuff. The finish came when Coleman hit a standing huracanrana on Bravado from the turnbuckle, followed by beautiful springboard frog splash from Alexander. Fantastic match. Pay attention Vinny Mac. Tag Team wrestling is alive and well.
Shane "Hurricane" Helms comes out to a huge pop. He joked with the crowd for a while and then introduced special guest Ricky Steamboat. The Dragon gave a big praise to the workers in the previous tag match, and then thanked the fans because the show and business wouldn't be possible without them. Steamboat seems so genuine all the time. I got to meet him before the show and he is super nice. Anyways, all of a sudden, Mickey Gambino interrupted and jawed at the Hurricane and the Dragon before eating a few chops from the Dragon. "You still got it" chant starts faintly. He hit his jumping chop then Helms caught Gambino with a chokeslam to send the crowd to intermission happily.
Back from break. TNA superstar Ethan Carter III comes out to zero heat. Ouch. He worked the crowd up until local indie star, and CWF Mid Atlantic Champ, Brad Attitude interrupted him.
5. Ethan Carter III beat Brad Attitude. Solid chaining to start. Lots of you can't wrestle chants directed to EC3 but Attitude worked hard throughout. Attitude hit a mean looking corkscrew body press for a good near fall. He followed with a neckbreaker on EC3. The ref started the count but a manager puts Carter's foot on rope. Attitude went to punish the manager, which distracted the ref long enough for EC3 to hit Brad with the megaphone then hit his One Percenter headlock driver for the win (The original version of Ambrose's 'Dirty Deeds' is way cooler).
After they raffled some merch, they set up the main event.
6. Trevor Lee beat Matt Hardy and CW Anderson to win the vacated OMEGA Championship. Basic three-way formula to start. Hardy screamed at Lee that they were both from Cameron and should gang up on CW. Lots of back and forth action. Anderson works incredibly light these days. A lot of his strikes and stomps fell obviously short some times. Lee was the highlight reel of the match. Remnants of a young Prince Devitt/Finn Bálor. WWE needs to get eyes on him. He'd fit in very well in NXT. The finish saw Hardy eat a superkick from Anderson as CW fell out of the ring. Hardy fed to Lee, who hit a jumping knee, then small package for the surprise win.
After the match, Hardy got on the mic and gushed about watching Lee grow up in the business and how proud he was of him for winning the belt. Lee's father was also in the ring at this point and some of the locker room were surrounding the ring. Caprice Coleman, Cedric Alexander, Andrew Everett, were among the wrestlers surrounding the ring celebrating with Trevor Lee.
