1/27 WWE Raw Report

Triple H and Stephanie walk out onto the entrance ramp in an embrace. They lovey dove their way down to the ring while a slideshow recaps the Brock Lesnar/Big Show/Steel Chair demolition from last night. Stephanie welcomes the crowd to RAW. She plays up the yes chants by agreeing that yes it was an epic Royal Rumble. As the crowd boos, Triple H mocks the audience for not getting what they want. Triple H runs down the card and results from the PPV. Stephanie McMahon announces that at the Elimination Chamber Randy Orton will defend his Championship inside the structure. The crowd is silent at the announcement.
Daniel Bryan’s music hits and the crowd erupts. Bryan tells the fans to stop chanting because he of course doesn’t want to make the Authority angry. The crowd rumbles. Stephanie says she isn’t surprised that Bryan would employ such parlor tricks. Bryan says that the fans are disappointed he wasn’t in the Royal Rumble. Bryan says there is a Yes Movement. He pleads with the Authority to listen to the fans.
Bryan claims to have demanded to be put in the Rumble but was denied time and again. Stephanie says that they didn’t want to put Bryan in jeopardy by doing double duty after all he has been through in the past couple weeks. Bryan says that they have done that to him time and again by putting him in multiple matches and handicap matches. Triple H says that’s why they didn’t do it to him last night. Stephanie says that Bryan only thinks about himself. She asks if he really thinks people came here tonight to see him. The crowd roars yes. Bryan asks if the crowd is here to see Randy Orton and they shout no. Bryan tells them to listen to the fans. Stephanie says she can’t tell what the fans are saying because they can’t seem to chant in unison. The crowd adjusts and falls for Stephanie’s trick to make the chants more impactful.
Daniel Bryan demands to be in the Elimination Chamber match for the Title. Bryan tells Triple H that he doesn’t think either of them should leave the ring until he gets what he wants. Bryan and Triple H stare each other down. The crowd chants for Bryan. Triple H says Bryan has a good idea, but it’s not just them in the ring. Bryan is about to have company.
The Shield’s music hits. Triple H and Stephanie clear the ring. Bryan grabs a steel chair. Rollins manages to break part of the barricade on his roll out of the crowd and pounds the ground in fury. Bryan tries to fend them off with a steel chair but Reigns punches him. The Shield beat down begins.
Lobster Head! Here comes Sheamus to make the save. Bryan has been beaten down so for the moment Sheamus is at a 3-on-1 disadvantage.
My Time is Now – John Cena soars down to the ring to help Sheamus and Bryan clean house. The crowd is on their feet as The Shield is beaten back and the hero is saved.
Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara are in the ring. The Real Americans make their entrance with Zeb Colter. He tells them that in America the only people who wear masks are criminals.
Sin Cara & Rey Mysterio v. The Real Americans w/ Zeb Colter
Rey starts the match against Cesaro but quickly tags in Sin Cara. He jumps off Rey’s back to splash Cesaro in the corner. Swagger gets the tag but gets taken down by a headscissor. Cara springboards an elbow and goes for a cover. Swagger kicks out. Cara tries a Sunset Flip but Swagger blocks. Cara sends Swagger over the top rope and then immediately hits a suicide dive. JBL groans as the commentators table shakes and his papers are rustled.
Zeb starts to yell at Swagger outside the ring. He slaps Swagger across the face. Swagger gets back in the ring and hits a leaping slam. Zeb yells for Swagger to take out his anger on Sin Cara.
Cara is in the ring with Swagger after a commercial break and connects with a tilt-a-whirl headscissor. Cesaro gets the tag but Cara tosses him out of the ring. Cara tries to tag Mysterio but Cesaro pulls Rey off the apron. Cara goes for a rollup but Cesaro kicks out. Cesaro hits a Gut Wrench and then brings in Swagger. They double team Cara. Swagger goes for the pin but Cara kicks out. Rey is back on the apron. Swagger jumps for a Swagger Bomb and Cesaro tags himself in. Cara counters the stomp and tags in Rey. Mysterio spins his way onto Cesaro and then climbs to the top rope for a seated senton. Rey stays on the attack and goes for the cover. Cesaro kicks out. Mysterio tries again and this time Swagger makes the save. Cara knocks Swagger out of the ring. Mysterio hits the 619. Cara gets the tag and tries to end the match but Cesaro catches him with a brutal European Uppercut for the win.

I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news. Later there will be a match with The Miz versus Dolph Ziggler. It is being called the Battle of Cleveland. Barrett is glad it’s not the Battle for Cleveland, because that match would have two losers. Cleveland is a town inhabited exclusively by losers.
R-Truth v. Fandango w/ Summer Rae
Truth hits a shoulder block. Fandango connects with an elbow as Xavier Woods is shown on commentary. NXT Star Emma is shown with her #Emmataining sign in the crowd. Fandango exits the ring to catch his breath but Truth follows after. Fandango hits an uppercut then rolls his opponent back in the ring. Cover but Truth kicks out. Fandango with a vertical suplex and cover. Truth kicks out. Fandango poses for the crowd and lifts Truth off the mat. Truth is whipped to the corner and blocks a splash. Truth with a suplex of his own and a cover. Fandango kicks out. Fandango hits a spinning heel kick but still can’t pick up the win. He heads to the top rope. Truth rolls out of the way so Fandango gets down. Truth with a Lie Detector for the win.

RAW Manager Brad Maddox is in the ring. He introduces the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton.
Orton walks his way down to the ring with both of his Titles which are one. That’s WWE dogma for you. Orton tells the crowd that despite what everyone thought he was still able to beat John Cena last night. He is not pleased to have to defend his Title in the Elimination Chamber. He says that he doesn’t care about Batista or Brock Lesnar.
The Animal’s music hits. Batista makes his way down to the ring. His jeans aren’t quite as tight this week. Batista congratulates Randy. He says Orton had a hell of a match last night. The crowd begins to chant for Daniel Bryan. Batista says that he came back to win the Royal Rumble, Headline Wrestlemania, and walk out with the Championship. Batista says that he doesn’t care who the Champion is at Wrestlemania, he will walk out with the Championship. Nothing is going to change that.
Eat, Sleep, Conquer, Repeat. Brock Lesnar, accompanied by Paul Heyman, comes down to the ring. Paul Heyman asks Brad Maddox to make history tonight. He wants Orton to fight tonight against the beast incarnate. Brock Lesnar roars. Heyman says if Maddox won’t do that, then he should at least have Lesnar face Batista in a battle of #1 Contenders. He tells Maddox to make it happen, or else. Lesnar’s music hits. Randy Orton looks shaken up as does Batista.
Battle of Cleveland
The Miz v. Dolph Ziggler
Both men are wearing Cleveland jerseys. Ziggler starts the match with a side headlock. He hits a shoulder tackle on Miz but gets kicked in the gut on the subsequent charge. Miz sends Ziggler to the corner and hits a splash. Miz take the top rope and jumps in for an axe-handle. Ziggler counters and goes for the cover. Miz kicks out. Ziggler misses a Fameasser but then jumps on Miz’s back for a Sleeper. Miz falls down to the mat. Miz fights Ziggler off and hits him with a hard boot. Ziggler kicks out of the cover.
Miz looks for the Skull Crushing Finale but gets caught with a roll up. Miz kicks out. Miz blocks a DDT. Miz traps Dolph’s legs and puts him in the Figure Four Leg Lock. Ziggler writhes in pain until he can struggle to the ropes. Miz is forced to release the hold.
Miz drags Ziggler back to the middle of the ring and tries for another Figure Four but Ziggler counters into a roll up. Miz kicks out. Ziggler hits the Zig Zag for the win.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler
The Usos v. Ryback & Curtis Axel
Ryback is jaw-jacked at the start but catches a leaping Uso and places him in the corner. Ryback hits a couple shoulder thrusts on Jey. Curtis gets the tag. He stomps on Jey. Curtis hits a dropkick. Jey crawls to the apron and Axel appears to bite his forehead. Ryback gets the tag and hits a Jackhammer. Cover but Jey kicks out. Jey lands a few punches before being clobbered. Axel gets the tag and places Jey in the corner. He chops him hard across the chest. Ryback is back in now and punches Jey in the gut. Snapmare takedown from Ryback followed by a rear headlock. Jey is whipped into the corner but dodges a shoulder. Ryback flies out of the ring. Curtis rolls him back inside. Curtis gets the tag and cuts Jey off from making the tag at first. Jimmy reaches far enough and comes in to take out Axel. Jimmy punches away in the corner and then hits a Samoan Drop. Ryback makes the save on the cover. He received the tag. Ryback lifts Uso up for Shell Shocked but the other makes the save. Jimmy gets the tag and leaps from the top rope for a splash on Ryback for the win.
Winners: The Usos
Kofi Kingston v. Alberto Del Rio
Del Rio backs Kofi towards the corner and punches away. Rio lands a hard kick and then chokes Kofi against the second rope. Kofi punches and kicks his way back into the fight. Kofi is whipped into the ropes and hits a dropkick. Kofi continues with the kicks. Kofi jumps up on Rio for a ten count punch. Rio kicks Kofi in the jaw to back him off. Rio runs forward for a hard clothesline. Kofi tosses Rio out of the ring and then flies out with a suicide dive. Kofi rolls Rio back into the ring.
Kingston gets up on the apron only to be caught with a kick. Rio rolls out of the ring. He grabs Kofi and tosses him into the barricade. Rio rolls him back inside and goes for the cover. Kofi kicks out. Rio continues to stomp on Kofi. The crowd chants for JBL and is pleased when they show him on the screen. Kofi and Del Rio begin to fight their way up the turnbuckle. They both punch each other off and crash to the floor as the show cuts to commercial.
Back from the break and Rio has Kofi trapped in a headlock. Kofi escapes with a jawbreaker. Kofi hits a Sunset Flip. Rio kicks out. Del Rio hits a vicious German Suplex. Cover but Kofi kicks out. Kofi hits an elbow followed by a kick. Kofi comes out of the corner with a tornado DDT. Kingston sets up for the Boom Drop. Rio stops the progression with a chopblock. Kingston dodges a kick into a cover. Rio kicks out. Kofi hits the Boom Drop. Rio ducks under a Trouble in Paradise. Kofi keeps him from exiting the ring and hits the S.O.S. Rio gets his foot on the bottom rope to save himself.
Kofi misses another Trouble in Paradise. Rio hits a Backstabber. Cover but Kofi kicks out. Rio climbs up to the top rope. Kofi runs up to knock him to a seated position. Kofi climbs up the turnbuckle to look for a Superplex. Rio pushes Kofi back and manages to stomp Kofi into the mat. Rio kicks Kofi square in the jaw to pick up the win.
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
WWE Tag Team Championship Match
New Age Outlaws [c's] v. Cody Rhodes & Goldust
Road Dogg quotes Selana Gomez during his promo before the match. That’s fantastic. “When you’re ready, come and get”. Dogg tells the crowd that they did not become Tag Team Champions because of their relationship with Triple H. It’s because they are the best at what they do. Dogg tells them they were good last night, but not good enough. Cody punches Dogg in the face. Dogg tells Gunn he isn’t happy to have to defend their Titles the night after they won them.
Goldust starts the match against Billy Gunn. Goldust charges at Gunn and shoulder blocks him down to the mat. Goldust with a fast arm drag. Billy rolls out of the ring to catch his breath. Dogg uses JBL’s hat to fan Gunn as he catches his breath. Dogg gets the tag but is hit by a shoulder block. Dogg crawls to the corner for a stop. Dogg wants to know why Goldust is moving so damn fast.
Goldust looks to lock up but instead punches Dogg in the face. Cody gets the tag and drops an elbow on Dogg’s arm. Cody hits a lariat and goes for the cover. Cody cinches on an armbar.
Dogg whips Cody towards the corner and exits the ring to avoid a moonsault. Cody is angry as the NOA regroup. Rhodes pushes Dogg into the corner and then goes for another armbar. Cody drops a series of knees on the arm. Dogg finally lands some punches only to be hit with a dropkick. Cover but Dogg kicks out.
Goldust gets the tag and drops a running elbow. Cover but Doff kicks out. Goldust with an armbar of his own. Gunn gets the tag. He hits a few punches and goes for a cover. Goldust kicks out. Dogg gets the tag. Goldust punches him into the corner. Goldust with a drop punch followed by an atomic drop. Gunn hits a big boot as the show goes to commercial.
Back from the break and Goldust lands a punch. Both he and Gunn fall to the mat. They begin to crawl towards their corners. Dogg cuts Goldust off only to be hit with Fade to Black. Dogg starts to bleed. Gunn and Cody get the tags. Rhodes with a drop punch followed by a high knee. Dogg comes in and sends Cody to the apron. Cody springboards in for a double dropkick on both men. Gunn dodges a Fameasser and hits a hard clothesline.
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman walk down to the ring. The New Age Outlaws clear out. Lesnar grabs Cody and hits an F-5. Lesnar immediately hits one on Goldust.

Winners and still WWE Tag Team Champions: New Age Outlaws
Paul Heyman says that Lesnar needs an answer about his match for tonight. Heyman says that this is what happens when Lesnar doesn’t get what he wants – Lesnar is handed a steel chair. Lesnar beats away on Cody and Goldust until the chair breaks in half.
The Bellas & Funkadactyls v. AJ Lee, Aksana, Tamina & Alicia Fox
Aksana starts the match off. Team Total Divas exchanges several tags but Aksana makes it to the corner. Alicia Fox gets the tag and comes in to face Nikki. Fox slams her to the mat and tags AJ. Lee has a hat clipped to her belt while wrestling for some reason.
AJ goes for a rear naked choke but Nikki escapes. AJ stays on the attack and tries for a cover. Nikki kicks out. Aksana gets the tag and poses for the crowd. She lifts Nikki up for a sideslam. Aksana with a cover but Nikki kicks out. Aksana drops an elbow. Aksana drags Nikki over towards Tamina and gives her the tag. Tamina with a scoop slam. Tamina drops a knee and then puts on a chinlock.
Nikki hits a kick and tags in Naomi. She flies in with speed and hits a couple dropkicks on AJ. Naomi is whipped towards the corner and then hits a booty shake of sorts as she twerks on AJ Lee’s face. Naomi dances a bit and then hits a splitting leg drop. Cover but Tamina makes the save. All the Divas charge into the ring. Team Total Divas sans Naomi hit a Triple Suplex on the opposing team sans AJ Lee. Naomi hits Rear View on AJ for the win.

Jerry Lawler is in the ring to announce the next inductee to the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2014 – Jake "The Snake" Roberts.
The Shield v. John Cena, Sheamus & Daniel Bryan
The winning team will qualify for the Elimination Chamber Championship Match.
Cena starts the match against Dean Ambrose. Cena is caught in a side headlock. Ambrose runs the ropes and gets leapfrogged by Cena. Rollins gets the tag. Cena and Rollins roll through a couple of headlocks. Rollins is caught with a hard right hand. Roman gets the tag. The crowd chants for Roman. Cena is whipped into the ropes and hit with a shoulder block. Reigns with a headlock now. Reigns hits another shoulder block and blocks an AA attempt.
Sheamus comes in to replace Cena. Reigns is slammed and covered by Sheamus. Reigns kicks out. Sheamus is pushed back into the corner. Rollins tags himself in and punches on Sheamus. Rollins whips Sheamus into the ropes but gets kicked in the guts. Sheamus lifts Rollins up for a Rolling Slam. Sheamus kicks Rollins hard in the spine and then sets him up on the apron. Sheamus pounds away with a battering ram. Sheamus lifts Rollins back up onto his shoulder. Rollins scurries off and kicks out the leg of Sheamus.
Ambrose gets the tag and comes in to stomp away on Sheamus. Sheamus hits a clothesline and then tags in Daniel Bryan. Bryan whips Ambrose into the corner and charges for a dropkick. Bryan hits a Frankensteiner from the top rope. Ambrose kicks out of the cover. Bryan steps on the back of Rollins’ legs to set up the Surfboard Stretch. Bryan grabs the neck of Rollins to further stretch his opponent.
Sheamus in off the tag and kicks Rollins as Bryan holds his arms back. Cena gets the tag and helps Sheamus with a double suplex. Cover but Rollins kicks out. Rollins with a cover of his own but Cena kicks out as the show heads to commercial.
Back from the break and Rollins is in the ring with Cena. Rollins mocks the You Can’t See Motion as Cena struggles to his feet. Cena whips Rollins into the corner. Rollins responds with a flipping neckbreaker. Rollins chokes Cena against the rope. Reigns gets the tag and hits a dropkick that allows to land on the apron. Reigns hits a Superman Punch. Reigns charges for a spear but Cena moves out of the way which causes Reigns to fly out of the ring. Reigns makes his way back in to cut off a Cena tag attempt.
Ambrose gets the tag and continues to isolate John Cena. Ambrose traps Cena in the middle of the ring with an armbar. Cena starts to escape but gets caught in a rear headlock. Cena lifts Ambrose up into the air and backs into the corner to break the hold. Cena hits an Attitude Adjustment. Rollins and Bryan get the tag. Bryan is all fired up as he clears The Shield off the apron and goes after Seth Rollins. Bryan leaps for a huge missile dropkick followed by a kick up. Bryan kicks away on Rollins and goes for the cover. Reigns makes the save. Sheamus comes in but gets speared by Reigns. Cena tries to get Reigns out but also receives a spear. Rollins rolls Bryan up, but Bryan kicks out. Rollins runs across the ring and hits a splash.
Rollins climbs to the top rope and jumps into the ring. Bryan hits a Suplex that lands Rollins on his face. Bryan charges across the ring for a dropkick but Rollins moves out of the way. Bryan rolls through a cover and cinches on the Yes Lock. Reigns makes the save. Sheamus comes in to Brogue Kick Reigns. Bryan and Rollins run the ropes and leap for crossbodys at the same time.
John Cena gets the tag at the same time as Roman Reigns. Cena gets the STF locked on. Cena rolls to his side but Reigns uses his strength to break Cena’s grip.
The lights go out. As the lights come back on the full Wyatt Family is in the ring. The referee calls for the bell.
Winners via DQ: Cena, Bryan & Sheamus
Bryan, Cena and Sheamus work together to toss the Wyatts out of the ring.
The Shield is absolutely furious that they are not in the Elimination Chamber because of the Wyatt Family interference. They start to tear the set apart at ringside. Bryan, Sheamus and Cena celebrate in the ring.
