Dixie Carter Comments On The Wolves Not Wrestling For Genesis

While posting in-character on Twitter, Dixie Carter commented on the fact that The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) did not wrestle last Thursday on the Genesis edition of Impact and will not wrestle on this week's pre-taped episode of Impact, with the same theme. She wrote:


All I said was I was bringing in new talent. I did. #TheWolves may be great but they did NOT win me over by their actions.

@BryanIsWWE offered #TheWolves a tryout match. They signed some contract w/this "investor". Not smart. I pulled offer until lawyers handle

Opinionated View- Never a bad idea to make people wait. Hopefully fans of The Wolves will tune in hoping to see what they do while you build them up for non indy wrestling fans. Maybe a segment where Bad Influence runs into them and we have little stare down.

Also they are a part of a big story right off the bat. You could look at as there the New Investors boys. So there is a good chance they are right at the forefront of the show as weeks go on.

Edwards and Richards Note

Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards made their debuts on Impact last night. Dave Lagana pushed for them to be hired, and moving forward, as a team they will be called "The Wolves," and will keep the names Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards.

Opinionated View- First I'm thrilled to see the Wolves in TNA. Also I'm glade to see them keeping there names. Can't wait to see there in ring debut.

Update on Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards

Former Ring of Honor World Champions Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards are have arrived in Huntsville, Alabama - the site of tonight's TNA Impact Wrestling television event. The duo are expected to debut at the Genesis themed shows tonight, as Dixie Carter has been teasing on her Twitter page.

Opinionated View- Ok for those that missed it or just want a recap. Davey and Eddie appeared to be on the verge of joining WWE and even worked an NXT show. But something went wrong during there match and WWE also decided they were to small. So instead of giving them a deal WWE basically wanted them to have an extended tryout.

I actually think TNA will work better for Davey and Eddie. Number one TNA doesn't have the whole land of giants rep. Two TNA is more open about the style you can work we have seen guy like AJ guys like Storm, guys like Low Ki.

Are the American Wolves About to Debut With TNA

PWinsider.com is reporting that TNA officials have been in talks with "The American Wolves" Tag team of Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards for several weeks now, likely since the duo got word that WWE wouldn't be signing them.

It's expected they will be debuting for TNA soon as they have canceled some upcoming independent wrestling dates. It's possible they could appear on Thursday's live Impact Wrestling from Huntsville, Alabama.

Another Possible Reason For WWE Not Signing The American Wolves

According to reports that one reason why Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards have not been called back to WWE may be their match with the Ascension on NXT. During that match, Rick Viktor picked Richards up awkwardly which resulted in Richards being dropped on his head. They did the move differently when working the match out before the tapings. 

Triple H (through the referee) then gave them orders to finish the match, but they didn't do it right away. This could have played a part in why the two were not offered contracts. 

Opinionated View- That makes a little more sense but still come on. I mean you let idiots like Big E and Henry on your show and they screw up all the time.

Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards Reportedly Not Receiving WWE Contract Offer

- The Wrestling Observer is now reporting that WWE will not offer Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards a contract, and the two will not be at the next set of NXT TV tapings. The reason they aren't getting an offer is because Triple H reportedly has an issue with their size. He is said to think that NXT has enough small guys who can work good matches, and he is now looking for talent that could headline WrestleMania in 5-10 years.

Opinionated View- If this is true than Triple H is a fucking idiot! You want two guys that can main event WrestleMania these are two guys that can do just that. These are two amazing talents and you passing on them. You think I'm wrong go watch there matches tell me you wouldn't hire these guys if you ran a wrestling promotion. The good news is maybe this means TNA can back them up.

Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards Have An "Internship" With WWE

Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards are said to be working on something like an internship in WWE NXT, which will run through March 2014. The two have been model employees so far.

One of the reasons WWE had The Ascension destroy the two (as the American Pitbulls) in their debut NXT match was to see how they would react to the booking. Everything turned out fine after the match. 

Opinionated View- What? Wait just one mother fucking god damn second here this company has singed how many models, bodybuilders, former football players, even an arm wrestling champion and kick boxer with zero prior wrestling experience but two WRESTLERS only get an an extended tryout?  

Davey and Eddie two guys that wanted to wrestle have traveled the world getting better and learning different styles of wrestling yet Eva Marie and JoJo get full time roster spots? I get wondering "Are these guys going to be willing to do jobs?" But you don't you run that risk with any one you sign. Hell I hope WWE is stupid enough to get rid of them in March would free them up for TNA. 

ROH Releases Official Statement on The Departure of Davey Richards

- Ring of Honor sent out the following statement today, regarding the departure of Davey Richards…

Originally ROH had was planned to announce a tag team match for Final Battle today, featuring Roderick Strong & Jay Lethal vs the American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards) at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, what was to be the final schedule appearance of the Wolves. This match was scheduled after two very competitive singles matches in Dearborn, Michigan, that saw Lethal take on Edwards, and Strong take on Richards; a tag team match. Four of ROH's best going at it, not for titles, or even bragging rights, but for honor.

Both Richards and Edwards do not have any upcoming ROH appearances following Final Battle because of commitments and endeavors, that will prevent them wrestling full time for ROH.

However, due to recent events, Davey Richards has been removed from the Final Battle match by ROH management due to his unprofessionalism and unreliability with the company.

A mystery tag team partner is being searched for by ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness to take Richard's spot in the match. Nigel has guaranteed ROHWrestling.com that the replacement will not only meet the expectations of the American Wolves farewell match, but will raise the bar of the show. With so many limitless possibilities, who will Nigel choose for ROH's biggest show of the year? He promises that the match WILL NOT disappoint. Fans, You can't miss this one.

What should have been a farewell (for now) to the American Wolves, will now be one for "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards. Will Final Battle be the last time we see the first man in ROH History to hold the World, TV and Tag Team Championships?

Richards and Edwards Work Tag Match At NXT Taping

Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards worked tonight's NXT TV Tapings at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida, losing in a tag match to the NXT Tag Champions The Ascension. Richards & Edwards went by the American Pitbulls, instead of their regular team name of the American Wolves. This stems from an earlier report this week that Richards & Edwards would be training at the WWE Performance Center all this week.

Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards WWE Tryout Update

- As of last week, former ROH world champions Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards have not heard back from WWE officials after they participated in an evaluation session in August at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Reports from the session indicated that both individuals stood out the most of the thirty wrestlers who performed. Regarding WWE signing prospective talent who participate in the sessions, various personnel observe and then report on who they feel are the best to Triple H. He then uses their feedback and makes a final decision on who will get signed.

Opinionated View- Well I get Triple H can't watch every single indy wrestler out there but I hope he would be aware of these two I mean it's be like the GM of a NFL team not knowing who Andrew Luck and RG3 are. 

But honestly I hope Triple H doesn't bring them in so they are free to go to TNA and have great matches there.

Details on Latest WWE Tryout Camp

WWE's latest tryout camp started up this week on Wednesday at the new Performance Center in Orlando. Two sessions were held on Wednesday and a long session was held on Thursday. Bill DeMott ran the camp with judges that included Joey Mercury, Norman Smiley, Terry Taylor, Gerald Brisco and William Regal. 30 wrestlers were brought in for the camp in total. Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards were described as "standing out of everyone" based on early reports from the camp. Edwards and Richards are no longer under official contracts with Ring of Honor.

Opinionated View- Well not shocking two of the very best American indy talents that have travled the world many times over were the best. It will be interesting to see where the Wolves land ROH wants to keep them. I have heard TNA wants to bring them in as a team and WWE wouldn't have them at this camp if they weren't interested.

New Japan titles to be defended at Death Before Dishonor XI

ROH announced that The Forever Hooligans will defend the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Titles at the Death Before Dishonor XI event on September 20 in Philadelphia, Pa. The Hooligans will defend the straps against Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards. Read more at ROHwrestling.com/news/history-making

The same show will feature the finals of the ROH Title tournament. The Hooligans will also appear at the ROH TV tapings on September 21.

- MsChif came out looking like Freddy Krueger

- Said to not be very good

- Rhino saved Muscant from a second pile driver from Bennett

- Rhino would dump Bennett on a security barrier and once they got back in the ring, Rhino took a fall off the top rope for what was said to be a nasty bump

- Rhino gored Bennett after the match after Maria told Bennett to hit him with a chair

- said to be a really good match

- Some concern that ACH maybe hurt. He was helped to the back after Nigel checked on him.
