Zack Ryder suffers injury to his left knee during Smackdown Live, WWE issues statement about his injury

WWE.com is reporting that Zack Ryder suffered an injury to his left knee during tonight’s 12/13 WWE Smackdown Live from Washington, DC.
Ryder reportedly suffered the injury while attempting a Rough Ryder in a No. 1 Contenders Battle Royal. Ryder, along with Mojo Rawley, won the match to earn a shot at WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Wyatt Family and Randy Orton.
WWE Dr. Chris Robinson had the following to say about the injury.
“We think he injured his kneecap or his patella. We think it popped out and then popped back in, so we’re just going to do an MRI to make sure that there is not cartilage damage or some tendon tearing, stuff like that. Hopefully there’s not and it’ll be a shorter rehab period. If there is, there’s a different road we might have to go down that may take longer to get him to recover.”
