Larry mentions that while the company gets ready to start off 2015, it is time to look back at 2014.
Larry mentions that a number of wrestlers returned to Ring of Honor, including AJ Styles, Chris Hero, Christopher Daniels, Matt Sydal, and Alex Shelley.

Some say that AJ Styles is the best wrestler right now and he had a strong year. It started in January when AJ Styles wrestled Roderick Strong in Nashville.
We take a look back a the match with highlights (here is the full match report):
Roderick Strong versus A.J. Styles (From the February 1, 2014 episode of ROH TV)
They lock up and Strong with a waist lock. Styles escapes and Strong returns to the waist lock. Styles with a key lock. Strong with a hammer lock. Styles with a take down but Strong with a head scissors. Styles escapes the head scissors and applies a side head lock. Styles with a rear chin lock.
Strong backs Styles into the corner and Strong pushes Styles on the break. Strong and Styles have some words for each other and Styles takes Strong down. Styles with another double leg take down but Strong with a guillotine on Styles.
Strong with a kick and side head lock and shoulder tackle and Strong mocks Styles. Strong with a rollup for a near fall. Styles with kicks and chops followed by a Phenomenal drop kick and Strong goes to the floor. Styles with a baseball slide to Strong and Roderick hits the guardrails as we go to commercial.
We are back and Styles with a pump handle gutbuster to Strong. Styles with a chin lock and his knee in Strong’s chest. Strong with punches to the midsection but Styles with a punch. Strong with an Irish whip but Styles with a knee. Styles goes to the apron for a springboard move but Strong with a drop kick and Styles lands on the apron.
Strong sends Styles into the guardrails a few times. Strong rolls Styles back into the ring and Styles rolls to the apron. Strong follows and Strong tries for a backbreaker onto the apron but Styles rolls into the ring and Styles with a baseball slide but Strong moves and then hits a half nelson back breaker onto the apron.
Strong gets a near fall. Strong with a waist lock but Styles with an elbow. Strong with a forearm. Styles lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex attempt and then each man goes for a cross body and both men go down. Styles with a clothesline and elbow followed by a back spin kick. Strong sends Styles to the apron but Styles with a forearm and Phenomenal forearm. Styles with a Death Valley neck breaker for a near fall.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Styles signals for the Styles Clash but Strong counters with a back drop but Styles holds on. Strong avoids a second Styles Clash attempt. Strong with a knee and Olympic Slam. Strong with a running knee into the corner followed by a forearm and a uranage back breaker for a near fall.
Strong tries to get Styles on his shoulders but Styles escapes. Strong runs Styles into the turnbuckles but Styles with an elbow. Styles goes for the springboard moonsault into an inverted DDT but Strong counters the DDT attempt. Strong with kicks to Styles but Styles hits the springboard moonsault into the inverted DDT for a near fall.
Styles pulls Strong into position and Styles goes up top. Strong stops Styles with a forearm. Strong with a punch and chop. Strong goes up top for a superplex and hits it. Strong gets a near fall. Strong goes for the Gibson Driver but Styles with a kick to the head to escape. Strong misses a splash in the corner and Styles hits the Pele Kick. Styles hits a brainbuster for a near fall.
Styles goes to the apron and he tries for a springboard 450 but Styles slips on the ropes and instead it turns into a springboard forearm to the head. Styles limps while picking up Strong. Strong with an enzuigiri but Styles with a kick. Strong with a back breaker and then he hits Death By Roderick for a near fall.
Strong with forearms but Styles fires back with forearms of his own. Strong with a leaping knee but Styles with Calf Killer. Strong rolls through and gets a near fall. Styles with a forearm but Strong with a forearm of his own. Strong and Styles exchange chops. Styles with forearms and kicks but Strong with a Sick Kick for a near fall. Strong goes for End of Heartache but Styles counters. Strong with a leaping knee but Styles with a discus clothesline followed by a Styles Clash for the three count.
Winner: A.J. Styles
Larry is back in the studio and he mentions that ROH had to say goodbye to Kevin Steen. Kevin’s final match was against Steve Corino.
We go to that match from the August 16th episode of Ring of Honor TV.
Kevin Steen versus Steve Corino
Before the bell rings, both men follow the Code of Honor, but before the bell rings, Corino with a punch to Steen. Corino with another punch and Steen says something to Corino. Corino with a third punch and Steen with a forearm. They go back and forth with forearms and then they both connect with punches. Steen with a back elbow and Corino goes to the apron. Corino with a punch and Steen with a drop kick that sends Corino to the floor.
Corino moves when Steen sets for a dive so Steen goes to the apron and Corino with a leg sweep. Corino Irish whips Steen into the guardrails. Steen with a second Irish whip into the guardrails and he punches Steen. Steen and Corino with forearms. Steen sends Corino into the guardrails and he rolls into the ring to break the count.
Steen sees an El Generico match on a fan in the crowd and Steen asks for it and he puts it on. The crowd chants “Ole” and Steen with a Helluva Kick. Steen signals for one more and he connects. Steen sends Corino back into the ring and Corino with jabs to Steen and then he sets for the Bionic Elbow and then he dances like the American Dream. Corino sets for the Flying Asshole but Steen moves and Corino hits the corner and Steen with a chop.
Corino with an abdominal stretch and he looks like he is going to check the oil but Steen escapes and hits a Codebreaker. Steen hits the Flying Asshole and then he hits a cannonball in the corner for a near fall. Steen with a chop and Corino with an STO. Corino with forearms to Steen but he runs into a boot. Steen sends Corino to the floor and Corino pulls Steen to the floor.
Steen with a kick and then he goes for a power bomb on the apron but Steve escapes. They exchange forearms and they go for clotheslines and both men are down. The referee starts his count. Both men get up at nineteen and roll into the ring to break the count. We go to commercial.
We are back and Steen with a forearm but Corino fires back. They continue the exchange. Corino with a running forearm and a second forearm followed by a fisherman’s suplex for a nae fall. The straps come down for Corino. Corino goes up top and Steen stops Steve. Corino goes for a shoulder but Steen with a knee and a kick followed by an elevated DDT for a near fall. Steen goes up top and hits a swanton for a near fall.
Steen tries to get Corino up but Steen gets to his feet. Steen with a waist lock but Corino with an elbow and standing switch followed by Colby Shock for a near fall. Corino waits for Steen to get up and Steen blocks a clothesline and Steen with an enzuigiri followed by an F-Cinq but Corino kicks out. Steen tells Corino ‘I’m sorry’ as he picks Corino up for a package piledriver but Corino with a counter into a back body drop and super kick. Corino misses a clothesline with the right arm but he connects with the left.
Corino with a Sliding C lariat and he gets a near fall. Corino puts Steen on the turnbuckles and he punches Steen. Steen with head butts to stop Corino. Corino sets for a superplex but Steen counters with a Fisherman’s superplex but Corino kicks out at two. Corino counters the package piledriver again and he gets a near fall with a jackknife cover. Both men go for clotheslines and they both stay on their feet.
Corino with a super kick but Steen stays on his feet and Steen with a pop up power bomb and he rolls Corino through to set for the Package Piledriver and he connects and gets the three count.
Winner: Kevin Steen
After the match, streamers fill the ring and we go to commercial.
We are back and Steen picks up Corino and he hugs him.
We go back to Larry Mercer and he says that you can see that match including the ring introductions and Kevin’s farewell speech on the Thanks Steen Thanks DVD.
Larry says that ROH had some of the most elite champions in 2014. He mentions reDRagon as the Tag Team Champions. He was saying the same thing about their dominance last year.
We see how Jay Lethal won the television title from Tommaso Ciampa thanks to interference from Truth Martini.
Larry mentions Jay Lethal’s alliance with Truth Martini starting in New Orleans.
We see highlights from Michael Elgin defeating Adam Cole at Best in the World to win the Ring of Honor World Title.
Larry mentions how Michael Elgin realized his dream by winning the World Title at Best in the World on pay per view.
That dream would be dashed three months later when the man who cannot be pinned, Jay Briscoe won the title at All Star Extravaganza to become a two time World Champion.

We are back and Larry welcomes us back to this special edition of Ring of Honor television.
Larry mentions the alliance that Ring of Honor forged with New Japan and we have a video package.
We are told that the match of the year came from one of the New Japan/ROH shows.
The match of the year was from War of the Worlds and it was for the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Titles.

Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly (with Tom Lawlor) versus Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson for the ROH Tag Team Titles
Nick and Matt kick the ropes as Lawlor leaves the ring and Tom may have hurt his ding ding. They send Fish flying over the top rope. Matt and Nick with a double back elbow to Kyle and then Matt holds Kyle for a back heel kick from Nick. Nick with a gutbuster followed by a swinging neck breaker from Matt.
Nick with a kick to Fish and they send Fish into the corner with Kyle. Nick with a handspring into the corner and then he gives Fish a back rake. Matt joins in for a double back rake to Kyle. Bobby and Kyle go to the floor. They are knocked off the apron and then Matt with a baseball slide followed by a corkscrew plancha from Nick. Matt goes up top and Lawlor get son the apron to shake the ropes and crotch Matt. Kyle gets a near fall on Matt. Bobby tags in and he punches Matt as we go to commercial.
We are back and Kyle runs into a boot and elbow from Matt in the corner. Fish tries to interfere but he is sent over the top rope to the floor. Nick kicks Fish from the apron and Lawlor pulls Nick off the apron and Matt cannot make the tag. Kyle with a running forearm followed by a Regalplex for a near fall. Fish and O’Reilly double team Matt and Matt sends Fish over the top rope to the floor and then Matt with a modified Diamond Dust to Kyle.
Nick makes the tag and so does Fish. Nick with clotheslines and then he hits a springboard drop kick to Kyle. Fish with a kick but Nick with a back elbow. Fish sends Nick to the apron and Nick with an enzuigiri from the apron and then he hits a DDT from the apron on Kyle. Nick with a shoulder and then he hits a slingshot X Factor for a near fall.
Nick with a punch and then he ducks and Fish goes over the top rope to the floor when he charges at Nick. Nick misses a moonsault from the apron but he lands on his feet. Fish runs Nick into the guardrails. Matt with a spear to Fish. Kyle tries for the running drop kick off the apron but he is met with a super kick.
Fish is rolled into the ring and Nick hits a springboard splash while Matt hits a standing moonsault but he can only get a near fall. Matt tags in and he sets for a running buckle bomb and Nick with a kick to the back of the head. The Buck set for the springboard assisted spike tombstone but Kyle pulls Nick off the apron. Fish with an ankle lock but Matt counters with a rollup for a near fall.
Matt with a back heel kick to Fish but Kyle comes in and he kicks Matt and slaps him. Kyle with a leaping knee and he connects with a kick to the chest. Kyle misses a leg sweep and Nick gives Kyle a super kick while the referee does nothing to restore order to the match. Matt and Nick pick up Fish and give him to O’Reilly in a tombstone position. Matt and Nick with kicks to the knee and Kyle hits a tombstone on his partner.
Matt and Nick with a double super kick and Matt gets a near fall. Matt and Nick set up for a super kick to Fish but O’Reilly pushes Fish out of the way. Kyle grabs Matt’s leg and then he gives it to Nick. Kyle with a dragon screw leg whip to Nick and that forces Nick to give one to his brother. Kyle goes to the apron and he hits the running hestitation drop kick off the apron to Nick.
Back in the ring, Matt takes care of Fish and he goes up top and Kyle holds Matt’s leg. Fish sets for a super Falcon Arrow and he hits it. Fish gets a near fall. Fish with a forearm and they signal for Chasing the Dragon but Matt escapes. Nick with a jumping spin kick on Fish. Kyle with a back heel kick to Nick followed by an axe kick to the head. Matt with a super kick to Kyle.
They set for another bucklebomb and round kick combination but Fish with a leg sweep to stop Nick and Kyle with a guillotine on Matt. Matt makes his way to the ropes but Nick hits a 450 splash to get Kyle to release the hold. Matt gets a near fall on a rollup. Nick with a plancha onto Fish. Matt gets Kyle up for More Bang for Your Buck but Kyle gets his knees up for the splash from Nick and then he moves and applies a triangle choke on Matt. Matt floats over to get a near fall. Kyle with a back heel kick and then he hits a forearm and brainbuster for a near fall. Fish comes into the ring and they hit Chasing the Dragon but Matt kicks out at two. Kyle with a cross arm breaker and Fish stops Nick from interfering and Matt taps out.
Winners: Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly
Larry mentions that you can see the match on the War of the Worlds DVD. Larry also mentions the benefits of being a Ringside Member.
