1/5 WWE Raw Report

The WWE roster is standing in the ring when the show kicks off, and John Cena says he needs to apologize because he was given no choice but to act last week. Cena says Seth Rollins threatened to snap Edge’s neck and his health was most important, so even if the Authority is back he is pledging to make a promise. Before he can say anything else The Authority cuts him off, and Stephanie says Cena is doing it all wrong and shouldn’t be sad. Stephanie says they had a great new year because they knew they were coming back, and Triple H says they all thought it was funny they were gone. HHH says Sting is the only reason for all of this, and he says they would be begging for them to come back, because it was chaos here without them. HHH says the ship has been righted all thanks to one man, Seth Rollins, and he welcomes Rollins out to the stage.
HHH says Rollins changed the course of WWE and he wants to thank him, and John Cena will face Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble, but now that title match is a triple threat, because Rollins is in too. Rollins is thrilled and thanks them, then Stephanie thanks Cena for breaking his own promise to the WWE Universe because it showed them something. She says Cena brought them back because it is best for business, and they will have John Cena Appreciation Night and make him happy. Stephanie guarantees to deliver on this promise to make him happy, then HHH says this is a new era for the rest of the roster, and it’s a new Authority. HHH says everyone will get what they put in and they will get what they deserve, then he tells Dolph Ziggler to stay put because he’s defending against Bad News Barrett right now.

Winner – Dolph Ziggler
Wade kicks him in the head after the bell and throws him outside, then he whips Dolph into the barricade twice before whipping him into the steps. Wade continues the assault and sends Dolph into the apron, then he slams him into the ringpost a few times before Kane comes to the stage. He says they forgot to announce this is two out of three falls, and screams at the referee to ring the bell right now.

Two Out Of Three Falls (Intercontinental Championship) Bad News Barrett vs Dolph Ziggler (c)
Wade rushes Dolph and drops him with a Bullhammer, then he picks him up and hits Wasteland for the second fall. The Authority comes to the ring for the ‘John Cena Appreciation Celebration’, and Stephanie says she welcomes them to a night that was over a decade in the making. She says Cena reinstated them and that was best for business, then Cena is welcomed to the ring and  HHH and Stephanie hype him up. HHH replays the clip of Seth Rollins’ attack on Edge and Christian, then Stephanie says Cena might have persevered, but he is her hero. HHH talks about how they’ve never seen eye to eye, and he didn’t like him at first but he finally saw a change. HHH says it’s maybe because he saw a greatness in Cena before anybody, and maybe that’s why he’s been so hard on him, and he saw that change again last week. HHH calls ‘hustle, loyalty, respect’ a bunch of crap and this ring matters most, and he appreciates what Cena did.
Cena asks if this is over yet, but HHH says he has some people to bring out that will definitely appreciate him by the end of the night. Ryback, Erick Rowan, and Dolph Ziggler are called to the ring, and HHH says they faced consequences just by joining Cena’s team, and they won at Survivor Series but Cena threw it all away. He says Rowan got involved in the team rather quickly, and they think he should be suspended for thirty days without pay. Stephanie says Ryback turned on them and he should get double, then they say Dolph caused the most trouble and he should get a more severe penalty. Dolph wonders if it’s 90 days, then HHH and Stephanie ask for some time to speak alone, and they walk to the stage and Stephanie instead fires them all. Stephanie says they can all thank Cena for losing their jobs, in addition to reinstating the Authority, and HHH asks for a round of applause as confetti and balloons fall from the rafters, onto a shocked Team Cena.
