GOLDUST & STARDUST vs. LOS MATADORES
The Rhodes are in control immediately. Goldust brawls with Fernando on the floor, throwing him off the ring steps and throwing him back to Stardust on the inside. They slow down the pace with a headlock for several minutes until Diego makes the hot tag and comes in with some big lucha moves. Goldust gets angry and throws some wild punches but he gets caught with a sunset flip for two. Diego ends up rolling him up for a surprise three-count while Stardust was chasing the bull on the outside.
Winners: LOS MATADORES
The Ascension comes out and actually gets some decent heat after their comments about the Road Warriors and Demolition. Viktor says that people are upset over what they said about the greatest tag teams of the past, but there are no great teams of the past. There is only one great team of the future. Welcome to the wasteland.
THE ASCENSION vs. JOBBERS
They could have ended the match in 20 seconds, but Konner decides to take one of the jobbers to the floor and throw him into the barricade a few times first. He throws the dead weight back into the ring and knocks the other off the apron. Fall of Man connects for another easy 1-2-3.
Winners: THE ASCENSION
We get to watch all the big moments from last night’s Raw again, which continues to beg the question: why do need to spend three hours watching in the first place?
RUSEV vs. JUSTIN GABRIEL
Gabriel throws some forearms at the start and is able to use his size/speed to avoid power moves from the US Champion. He gets in a few knife-edge chops and dives out of the way of a headbutt. Eventually Rusev throws him over the top rope and hits him with a big kick. They go into a headlock to slow things down. The crowd wills Gabriel back into the match and he wriggles free, then comes off the top rope with a double stomp to the back. He fires up the crowd but ends up taking a superkick. Rusev with the Accolade for the surprisingly hard-fought victory.
Winner: RUSEV
THE NEW DAY vs. KIDD, CESARO & ROSE
Cesaro beats the hell out of Xavier Woods to kick things off, then throws him to the floor. Rose tags in and continues the beatdown.
After a commercial break, Rose is still in control with a headlock. Woods almost rolls him up with a small package for two. The heels continue to keep him isolated from his corner, alternating in with quick tags. Kidd with a nice legdrop across the throat out on the ring apron, followed by a mean dropkick from Cesaro.
Eventually Kingston makes the hot tag for his team and drops Kidd with a bunch of kicks and a flying crossbody. He hits the Boom Drop and a corner splash, then comes off the top rope with an ax-handle to Adam Rose on the apron. Springboard crossbody connects to Kidd but he runs into an elbow in the corner. Kofi fights back but comes off the top rope and Kidd had switched with Cesaro, who hits a wicked uppercut.
Tag made to Big E who comes in and destroys Cesaro with a splsah in the corner. He drops Kidd with a one-arm STO and hits the Warrior splash on both men at the same time. Rose made a blind tag during a power slam and almost stole the pin. Kidd with kick to Woods but Kofi hits him with Trouble in Paradise. Cesaro takes out Kofi, Big E takes out Cesaro and Rose with a spinebuster for two on Big E in a good sequence. The New Day assembles in the ring – Kingston and Woods fly over the ropes onto Cesaro and Kidd while Big E spears Adam Rose THROUGH THE ROPES to the floor. Big pop for that spot. They drop Adam Rose with the Midnight Hour (Big Ending + Flying Bulldog) for the win.
Winners: THE NEW DAY
