Ryback Injured at WWE Payback

Ryback was injured during his match with Bray Wyatt at WWE Payback. It is believed that he may have broken his rib when Wyatt hit a back senton splash off the ropes onto Ryback, who was on the floor.
Ryback is backstage with medical staff now; when we know more we’ll provide an update.

Future WWE Feuds For Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt (SPOILERS)

WWE live events in May are advertising Roman Reigns vs. Kane and Bray Wyatt vs. Ryback. Ryback is the “mystery person” that Wyatt has been talking about in his recent promos.

Opinionated View- Poor Reigns WWE blows his push, he doesn't win the title, he's back to feuding with Big Show, and now he's going to feud with Kane. It gets worse for Wyatt. He had to job to Taker killing any last bit of momentum he still had and not he has to try and carry big useless.

Spoilers on Who is Backstage at Raw

According to Pwinsider.com (via wrestlezone.com) “fired” WWE stars Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan are backstage at Raw. It has not been confirmed what their roles will be on tonight’s show, but all three men are expected to be in the 30 man Royal Rumble match on Sunday night

Big Backstage Update on Creative Plans for “Fired” WWE Stars Ryback, Dolph Ziggler & Erick Rowan

According to PWInsider.com, “fired” WWE stars Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan are all expected to be brought back to WWE TV in time for the Royal Rumble.
As of now, the three talents are not backstage at Raw tonight and will not be used on the show.
However, it is expected that something will happen with the three next week on Raw, potentially them “sitting in the crowd” for the show, or some type of invasion angle will take place, which will result in all three men being brought back to WWE.

- After they were “fired” on RAW, the trio of Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan are expected to return either before or during the Royal Rumble PPV on January 25. All three are expected to be involved in the Royal Rumble match.

Update on The Idea Behind The Ryback Promo From Monday’s Raw

The idea behind the Ryback promo on Monday’s Raw was to give him a chance to connect with the audience on a new level by allowing him to tell a personal and emotional story. Ryback’s promo was the same basic story that he told during his recent appearance on Chris Jericho’s “Talk Is Jericho” podcast and during an interview with Sam Roberts in 2013.

Opinionated View- Good idea problem is you picked the worse person to do it with Ryback sucks he can't connect with the fans because he lacks the talent to do it.

Rusev’s Next Feud

- As seen on Raw, it appears that WWE is moving toward a Rusev vs. Ryback feud. During the Highlight Reel segment, Ryback confronted the US champion and Rusev backed down, suggesting this is the next opponent for him.

Opinionated View- Some where deep in the seventh circle of heel I think people will have to watch Rusev vs. Ryback as punishment.

WWE Backing off Triple H vs. Ryback Plans?

As was previously reported, WWE officials were reportedly considering the idea of a Triple H vs. Ryback match sometime after the start of the year based on the recent interactions they’ve had on TV. The discussion was to have the match at the Royal Rumble in order to build Ryback up toward a big match at WrestleMania 31.

However, that seems to no longer be the case. The Wrestling Observer reports that officials are cold on the idea of that match after Ryback’s match against Cesaro on Raw, which wasn’t well-received. It’s worth noting that the report says nothing about CM Punk’s comments about him or his reaction on Twitter, so there is no indication these played into the decision.

Opinionated View- Now if only WWE would give up on Ryback. Sadly I'm sure both Ryback and Triple H will wind up on the mania card. With Ryback WWE maybe stupid enough to try and drag out his feud with Kane to Mania. I'm sure Triple H already has a plan B because well it's triple h he not only booked himself on last year's mania he booked himself to beat up the guy that left with the title.

Match Announced For Monday’s Raw

WWE has announced that John Cena will face Ryback this coming Monday on Raw, which is taking place in Liverpool, England.

Why WWE Had Ryback Return as a Face

 WWE decided to have Ryback return as a babyface due to a lack of good babyfaces on the roster at this time. Ryback returned to squash Bo Dallas on RAW. His next match is against Heath Slater on Smackdown this Friday.

Ryback Reportedly Backstage at Hell in a Cell

Ryback was reportedly seen in Dallas, Texas, the host city for tonight’s Hell in a Cell event. In addition, F4WOnline reports that Ryback was flown in for the show and he is said to be backstage at the event.

However, per the report, all of the roster is said to be in town for the TV shows this week. So Ryback will not definitively make an appearance during tonight’s PPV.

Opinionated View- I'm sure Ryback will appear soon enough and start putting on shitty matches.

Ryback Reportedly Cleared to Return

Ryback has been off of TV since August after undergoing surgery to fix some issues. The PW Torch (via WZ) reports that Ryback is now fully recovered and cleared to compete again.

As of right now, WWE is waiting to figure out how to introduce him. There has been some discussion of tweaking his gimmick and giving him a renewed singles push, which would bolster the current roster that has dwindled a bit due to injuries.

Opinionated View- The only thing Ryback would bolster would be how much the show sucks. Don't give him a push give him a pink slip.

Ryback May Not Actually Be Injured

As reported on Monday, Ryback and then deleted a Tweet saying that he was dealing with "stuff that needed to be fixed" and would be "going away for awhile." This was seemingly confirmed on WWE Main Event last night, when Michael Cole said Ryback is injured and will be out of action for a few weeks.

However, PWInsider (via WZ) reports that Ryback's actual status is unclear, with multiple WWE sources contending that Ryback isn't actually hurt not scheduled for time off. Obviously this conflicts with what Cole said (which was commented on by Adam Rose and Curtis Axel on the show), so he may be off even if he's not legitimately injured.

As you may have noticed in the initial tweet before it was wiped, there was an action figure of him on a set of steps over a fallen CM Punk figure, with the tweet including the message "sorry, Punk." The site's sources say this seems to have been a bit of a shot at Punk in relation to Ryback botching a spot back in 2012 where he was supposed to put the Straight-Edge Superstar through a table, resulting in Punk hitting the floor and getting hurt.

Ryback Injured Will Miss Time

Earlier today we reported that WWE Superstar Ryback noted on Twitter that he’d be “going away for awhile” in order to “get some stuff fixed”. The tweet was quickly deleted, as per usual with the Big Guy’s social media account. 

It was announced on tonight’s WWE Main Event that Ryback was recently injured, and Michael Cole noted that he will be out for a few weeks, while his tag team partner Curtis Axel continues to work singles matches. Neither star was in action this Monday night on Raw, so it’s unknown when the injury took place. WWE has yet to release an official statement, but we will keep you updated if more information becomes available. 

Opinionated View- I don't wish for anyone to get hurt but it's not that big a loss. Ryback sucks and I won't miss him.

Tag Title Match Tentatively Scheduled For WWE Extreme Rules Pre-Show

The current plan is for WWE to have a tag team title match on the Extreme Rules pre-show, with The Usos defending against Rybaxel (Ryback and Curtis Axel). While the tag title match is currently the plan, it has yet to be announced or confirmed by WWE.
