Breaking News Erick Rowan Injured at Live Event

Joey Styles posted the following on Twitter earlier today:

"BREAKING:@ErickRowan sustained an injury at Friday night's Live Event in Saginaw, MI.He is in the process of undergoing medical evaluation"

WWE has yet to officially confirm an injury to Rowan as of this writing.

WWE Teases Luke Harper and Erick Rowan Reunion

WWE.com released its new five-point Raw preview, and the following was mentioned on the moment between former Wyatt Family members and tag team partners Luke Harper and Erick Rowan on this week’s Smackdown. It seems to suggest some type of tag team reunion could be on the horizon.
“Erick Rowan and Luke Harper have freaked us out for years at this point, but the moment they shared Thursday night on SmackDown sent a shiver down our spines. After Harper dispatched Fandango, Rowan lumbered down the entrance ramp and, despite his prior issues with his former Wyatt Family accomplice, proceeded to pummel the dazed dancer. Was this Rowan extending a gnarled olive branch to Harper? Have these one-time members of The Wyatt Family joined forces once again? Anticipate more from this eerie tandem on Raw.”

Opinionated View- They were a good team. And good knows the WWE tag division could use them. But this is WWE creative. They broke up the Wyatt Family and turned Rowan face with no real plan for either guy and now it seems they are turning Rowan heel and reuniting the team with no plan.

Erick Rowan Works Heel At Live Events

Erick Rowan worked as a heel at this weekend's WWE live events. He lost to Sami Zayn in one match and also teamed with The Ascension to lose to Jimmy Uso and The Prime Time Players in six-man action.

Opinionated View- Rowan like so many in the WWE has been left to drift on the sea. They have no idea what is going on.

Spoilers on Who is Backstage at Raw

According to Pwinsider.com (via wrestlezone.com) “fired” WWE stars Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan are backstage at Raw. It has not been confirmed what their roles will be on tonight’s show, but all three men are expected to be in the 30 man Royal Rumble match on Sunday night

Big Backstage Update on Creative Plans for “Fired” WWE Stars Ryback, Dolph Ziggler & Erick Rowan

According to PWInsider.com, “fired” WWE stars Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan are all expected to be brought back to WWE TV in time for the Royal Rumble.
As of now, the three talents are not backstage at Raw tonight and will not be used on the show.
However, it is expected that something will happen with the three next week on Raw, potentially them “sitting in the crowd” for the show, or some type of invasion angle will take place, which will result in all three men being brought back to WWE.

Opinionated View- Dear god that sounds lame. This whole storyline is just so predictable.

Update On When Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan Will Return To TV

- After they were “fired” on RAW, the trio of Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan are expected to return either before or during the Royal Rumble PPV on January 25. All three are expected to be involved in the Royal Rumble match.

Erick Rowan Getting a Gimmick Change?

- According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Erick Rowan is getting a bit of a gimmick change. WWE has applied for a trademark for “Big Red,” which will be part of his ring name on TV.
The change comes while WWE has been making small changes to his character on TV

TLC pay-per-view gets a new gimmick match

Erick Rowan vs. Big Show in a stairs match has been added to the TLC pay-per-view lineup.

Opinionated View- A what? Look Rowan better go over but this being WWE I am sure Big Show will win and than move onto to feud with Cena again sometime post Mania.

Current Plans For WWE TLC

As previously reported, there were recent discussions about having a John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins three-way TLC match for WWE TLC. However, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there is talk about pushing Orton’s first return appearance back until the actual PPV.
Also planned for the PPV is a gimmick match between Big Show and Erick Rowan. The specific gimmick isn’t yet known.

Update on the Future of The Wyatt Family & How It Involves The Ascension

 Over the past two weeks, WWE has been running video packages, where Bray Wyatt is setting Luke Harper and Erick Rowan “free”. At this time, the word is that the two men will break away from Wyatt, and that the Ascension will be called up to the main roster to be paired with Bray Wyatt.

Opinionated View- Oh no. I like both Harper and Rowan but given how poorly WWE has booked them they aren't ready to be free. I like the Ascension but I don't think they will work in the role with the Wyatt Family. It's would be better to book the family better and have the Ascension stay its own act.

Luke Harper Could Get Singles Push Soon

WWE is reportedly planning to give Luke Harper a singles run soon. The process started with last night’s video on RAW, which hyped up Harper. There has been a plan to split the Wyatts up for some time now. It’s unknown what the roles of Bray Wyatt (including if he will be face or heel) or Erick Rowan will be going forward.

Opinionated View- I like Harper so I want to see him get pushed. But man the WWE has really F'ed up the Wyatt's as a group. Bray has no momentum thanks to Cena and Jericho being booked to destroy him. Harper and Rowan are two guys that were booked time and time again to fail at winning the tag titles. Hell even they do push Harper odds are the WWE will book him to lose to Big Show and Cena etc.
