Randy Orton missed RAW this week because he is on vacation in Bora Bora with his girlfriend. He asked for the time off and isn’t expected to return until July 6. The current plan is for Orton to fight Sheamus at Battleground.

Big Show and Randy Orton are expected to return during the short build-up between Elimination Chamber and Money in the Bank. Both have been ready for returns but have been kept off TV as they aren’t booked for the Chamber PPV.

Contract Signing Set for Smackdown

A contract signing for the Fatal 4 Way match at WWE Payback on 5/17 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship involving Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose has been announced for this week's 5/7 WWE Smackdown on Syfy.
This segment will be taped on Tuesday night in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Dean Ambrose has been added to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship main event at Payback on 5/17 live in Baltimore.

Two Returns at 2/7 WWE Event

Randy Orton and Bo Dallas both returned to WWE at the 2/7 live event in Salt Lake City. Orton was expected to return at the Royal Rumble PPV and plans instead changed. Dallas had been out of action since November due to an injury to his left foot.

Latest On If Randy Orton Will Be At Tonight’s Live Smackdown

According to Dave Meltzer during Wrestling Observer Radio (via Wrestlezone), Randy Orton made an appearance earlier this week and told people that he expected to be on television during tonight’s Smackdown taping. He’s currently not advertised but the event is live so it’s a possible he’ll make his return tonight.

As noted, Randy Orton was in the Northeast last night but did not make his return, despite being advertised, at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Orton was actually backstage, dressed to wrestle and ready to go but his return being delayed again was said to be a storyline decision.Bo Dallas and Heath Slater were both backstage last night but obviously not used. Both are scheduled to be back in action soon, possibly this week if WWE tapes new content.

Randy Orton has reportedly been spotted in the Philadelphia area. He is said to still be scheduled to work the Royal Rumble PPV event on Sunday.
Orton is reportedly set to be a surprise entrance in the Rumble match. Also, WWE is still officially advertising Orton for the event. Orton has been on the shelf for a few months to film a movie and to have surgery on a deviated septum.

- As reported last week, Randy Orton was pulled from house shows as he was scheduled to undergo surgery to fix a deviated septum. Orton has been pulled from advertisements for tonight’s episode of Raw as well as all TV events up to (but not including) the Royal Rumble.
Orton is also still advertised for the house shows on January 17th, 18th, 23rd and 24th.

Update on Randy Orton

Randy Orton has a deviated septum according to a new report by Dave Meltzer. This is why Orton ended up only making short appearances at WWE live events this past weekend.
Orton wrestled in a match against Kane in New York City on 12/26 in his official return to the company, only made an appearance after the main event on 12/27 in Long Island and then had another short match with Kane on 12/28 in Hershey.

Orton did make an appearance after RAW on 12/29 in Washington, DC after it went off the air. Orton is scheduled to have surgery and his recovery time is only expected to be for a few weeks. He's scheduled to begin a program with Seth Rollins when returning to WWE TV.

According to Pwinsider.com, Randy Orton was backstage at the live event in Uniondale, Long Island at the Nassau Coliseum. Orton made an appearance at the end of the show, so it appears that the injury announcement was just an angle.

Orton and Barrett Return at Live Events

Randy Orton and Bad News Barrett made official returns to WWE at live events on Friday.
Orton, who has been off WWE TV since early November, returned at the WWE live event in New York City at Madison Square Garden against Kane.

Barrett returned at the WWE live event in Chicago teasing a match and then leaving. He had been out of action since June after suffering a separated shoulder.

Current Plans For WWE TLC

As previously reported, there were recent discussions about having a John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins three-way TLC match for WWE TLC. However, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there is talk about pushing Orton’s first return appearance back until the actual PPV.
Also planned for the PPV is a gimmick match between Big Show and Erick Rowan. The specific gimmick isn’t yet known.

Who Will Randy Orton Feud With When He Returns?

- At this time, the plan is for Randy Orton to continue his feud with Seth Rollins when he does return to TV. Orton was backstage at last night’s Survivor Series PPV, but with the debut of Sting planned, they held Orton off the show as they felt Sting was a big enough surprise on his own.

Three Big Name Rumored For WWE Surivor Series

Yet another name is being rumored for WWE Survivor Series tomorrow. According to PWInsider, Roman Reigns is scheduled to attend the event on Sunday.
Per the report, it is not confirmed if Reigns will make an on-camera appearance or not, but he will be in attendance. According to an earlier report, Reigns is being locally advertised for an appearance at WWE TLC 2014 in December.
So the rumors all place Randy Orton, Sting, and Roman Reigns at Survivor Series. Some of the reports said appearances by Orton and Sting are definite.
Interestingly enough, Jim Ross commented on Twitter about the Sting appearance being a “planted leak.” Make of that what you will.

Randy Orton to Star in Sequel to WWE Studios Film

Variety.com is reporting that WWE star Randy Orton will be starring in the sequel to the 2007 WWE Studios movie "The Condemned" that starred WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin. The film will be produced & distributed by Lionsgate, who was a part of the first movie. The movie will begin shooting in New Mexico later this year and will be directed by Roni Reine, who Orton worked with on "12 Rounds: Reloaded." 

The synopsis for the movie is as follows: "A former bounty hunter who finds himself on the run as part of a revamped Condemned tournament, in which convicts are forced to fight each other to the death as part of a game that's broadcast to the public."
