WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose makes his motion picture debut in WWE Studios' "12 Rounds 3: Lockdown" presented by Lionsgate!
Ambrose plays Shaw, a detective that returns to active duty after the death of his partner. When he uncovers evidence linking his fellow officers to a murder, they frame him for a homicide he didn't commit. Trapped in his own precinct, Shaw will do whatever it takes to expose the dirty cops and clear his name. With twelve rounds in the clip and one shot at redemption, nothing will stand in Shaw's way in this action-packed thriller.
"12 Rounds 3: Lockdown" is in theaters and on-demand Sept. 11.

WWE Studios Gets $35 Million Cash Infusion

Deadline reports that WWE Studios has signed a deal with Bank of American Merrill Lynch for a revolving credit facility worth $35 million. This will let WWE continue to form partnerships with studios like Warner Bros., Lionsgate and 20th Century Fox. It’s part of a new long-term growth strategy that will focus on mid-size budget film productions, similar to The Call and Oculus, as well as increase the films it acquires.
WWE Studios president Michael Luisi said: “This new relationship with Bank of America Merrill Lynch gives us the opportunity to be involved in higher profile films and expand talent relationships. Our audience craves larger-than-life stories, and we’re looking forward to using this new facility to bring even more of those stories to the big screen.”
It recently launched a horror label with Gene Simmons called Erebus Pictures. Upcoming WWE Studios releases include Incarnate (starring Aaron Eckhart and featuring Mark Henry, from Blumhouse Pictures) and a sequel to Scooby-Doo! Wrestlemania Mystery starring Hulk Hogan.

Marine 4 Staring The Miz and Summer Rae Now Available

Two new WWE Studios films, former IC Champion to star

WWE Studios and Richwater films are partnering on the films "Eliminators" and "Rampage." The "Eliminators" film stars Scott Adkins and former Intercontinental Champion Wade "Bad News" Barrett, and will begin filming this spring. Read more at Variety.com.

The Miz and Paige to Star in WWE Studios Film

The Miz and Paige are set to star in Santa's Little Helper, a WWE Studios film that will be released on Digital HD, Blu-ray and DVD this holiday season.

The official synopsis of the film is as follows: "After getting fired from his job, a slick, fast-talking businessman (Dax) is given an opportunity of a lifetime – become Santa Claus's second-in-command. However, getting the job won't be that easy - Dax must go head-to-head against an elf that feels she's more deserving of the title. As the competition heats up, Dax learns the true meaning of Christmas…but ultimately who will become Santa's Little Helper?"

Filming Wraps For WWE Studio's Interrogation

WWE Hall of Famer Adam "Edge" Copeland posted the following on Twitter about filming concluding on the upcoming WWE Studios' movie "Interrogation" that stars himself and WWE Diva Lana:

"Wrapped on #Interrogation tonight. Full on, amazing, two week sprint. So fun and rewarding, thanks to all involved, you rock"

Lana has been off TV for the last few weeks to do filming for the movie. With the movie completing, Lana will be back on TV, beginning with tomorrow night's 4/2 WWE Smackdown on Syfy.

WWE Studios Teaming With Gene Simmons For Horror Label

Variety reports that WWE Studios and Gene Simmons are teaming up to launch a new horror film imprint, Erebus Pictures.

The label already has three films in development with the first, Temple beginning production this summer. The film is written by Matt Savelloni and follows a team of trained operatives who find themselves trapped inside an isolated military compound after its artificial intelligence is suddenly shut down — and then begin to experience strange and horrific phenomena.
Simmons said, “The horror genre continues to fascinate me as it proves to be endlessly thrilling and engaging for audiences.”

WWE Studios president Michael Luisi added, “Horror films fall into a genre that thrives on genuine passion, and I believe this partnership truly capitalizes on that sentiment and supports our vision.”

Edge to Star in New WWE Studios Film

According to Pwinsider.com, Adam “Edge” Copeland will be starring in the upcoming WWE Studios film Interrogation. WWE Studios will produce the film with Lionsgate. Lana will also have a role in the film. WWE bought the screenplay back in 2002, and it is described as follows…

“With a bomb set to go off in Las Vegas on one of the busiest betting days of the year, the story focuses on a brilliant interrogator called in to question the prime suspect. As time runs out, we soon learn there’s an even bigger plan in place for both of them.”

Randy Orton To Begin Film WWE Studios Film

Randy Orton will begin filming his role for the new WWE Studios project "The Condemned 2" beginning next week on 11/11. WWE normally finds a way to write talent off television when taking time off to film these roles.

Randy Orton to Star in Sequel to WWE Studios Film

Variety.com is reporting that WWE star Randy Orton will be starring in the sequel to the 2007 WWE Studios movie "The Condemned" that starred WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin. The film will be produced & distributed by Lionsgate, who was a part of the first movie. The movie will begin shooting in New Mexico later this year and will be directed by Roni Reine, who Orton worked with on "12 Rounds: Reloaded." 

The synopsis for the movie is as follows: "A former bounty hunter who finds himself on the run as part of a revamped Condemned tournament, in which convicts are forced to fight each other to the death as part of a game that's broadcast to the public."

Development Begins on New WWE Animated Projects

A second WWE & Scooby-Doo crossover animated movie project is in the early stages of development according to a report by Mike Johnson. It is said that if the project gets the green light, the hope is for the movie to be out by 2016. The first WWE & Scooby-Doo animated movie, "Scooby Doo Wrestlemania Mystery" was released earlier this year on DVD & Blu-Ray and has now begun airing on Cartoon Network. WWE's next animated project, a crossover movie with the Flintstones, is set to be released in 2015.

Dean Ambrose's New Movie To Finish Shooting Before Night of Champions

Dean Ambrose could end up working WWE Night of Champions, as the filming for the WWE Studios film Lockdown (which he stars in) will finish the day before the PPV event. Ambrose is also scheduled for the RAW and Smackdown shows after the PPV.

Hulk Hogan, Ken Jeong and David Hasselhoff Set For New WWE Studios Film

WWE sent out the following today, announcing the new WWE Studios film, Celebrity Death Pool. The movie will star Ken Jeong (The Hangover) and David Hasselhoff. Hulk Hogan is set to have a role in the film as well.

Hyde Park-Image Nation and WWE Studios team up for ‘Celebrity Death Pool' comedy

LOS ANGELES and STAMFORD, Conn. – Ashok Amritraj's Hyde Park Entertainment, Image Nation Abu Dhabi and WWE Studios announced that they are joining up again to co-produce a comedy with the working title "Untitled Celebrity Death Pool." Ken Jeong ("The Hangover," "Community") has signed on to star in the satire, which centers on a struggling nightclub owner whom, after amassing a large debt from a loan shark, sets out to win his long-running celebrity death pool by attempting to kill his chosen celebrity, David Hasselhoff. Darren Grant ("Diary of a Mad Black Woman") will direct from a script written by Peter Hoare.

In addition to Hasselhoff, legendary WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan and an increasing number of other celebrities have signed on for various supporting roles and cameo appearances. Pre-production for the film commences this September in Los Angeles, with a theatrical release anticipated for 2015.

WWE Studios President Michael Luisi and Hyde Park's Amritraj are producing the picture along with Hasselhoff, Michele Berk, Patrick Hughes and Warren Zide. Eric Gardner is Executive Producing. Hyde Park International will handle international sales with WWE Studios set to leverage its extensive multi-platform reach to promote the film.

Bradley Buchanan, SVP of Business Affairs, negotiated the deal on behalf of WWE Studios and Allen Babakhanloo, VP of Business Affairs, negotiated the deal on behalf of Hyde Park Entertainment.

Jeong is currently shooting "Ride Along 2″ with Ice Cube and Kevin Hart for Universal Pictures.

Dean Ambrose to Star in Next WWE Studios Movie

Marc Graser of Variety.com is featuring an article about WWE star Dean Ambrose (Jonathan Good) starring in the new WWE Studios and Lionsgate film "Lockdown." The official description for the film focuses on a police officer trapped inside a prison.

"Written by Nathan Brooks and Bobby Lee Darby (“See No Evil 2″), “Lockdown” follows a police officer who finds himself trapped inside his own precinct and hunted after crooked cops stop at nothing to recover incriminating evidence of illegal activities against those closest to him."

Production for the film starts this month.

Jen Yamato of Deadline.com is reporting that WWE Studios and Lionsgate have reached a new six picture agreement. Paul "Big Show" Wight is listed as being part of the first project titled "Vendetta" from twin-sister directing duo Jen and Sylvia Soska.

Updated Title and Release Update For The Marine 4

- At this time, the official title for the WWE's 4th Marine film is The Marine: Moving Target. The film, which will feature The Miz and Summer Rae, will likely be released in March of 2015, which is during WrestleMania 31 season.

WWE Studios Picks Up New Film From Conan & Game of Thrones Star

- WWE Studios and Anchor Bay Films have announced that they've picked up the domestic distribution rights to Jason Momoa's directorial debut, Road to Paloma. The film is helmed by and stars Momoa (Conan the Barbarian, Game of Thrones) along with Lisa Bonet, Robert Homer Mollohan, Sarah Shahi, Michael Raymond-James, Wes Studi, Timothy V. Murphy and Chris Browning.

The film stars Momoa as Robert Wolf, a Native American, who is being hotly pursued by the FBI for having taken the law into his own hands after a brutal injustice occurs when his mother is raped and killed on their reservation. Wolf crosses paths with Cash (Mollohan), a down and out musician, and an unlikely bond is formed as they motorcycle across the vast highways of the American West in search of redemption.

WWE Studios president Michael Luisi said, "Jason is a genuine triple threat with his writing, directing and, of course, acting talent. He has delivered a gritty, provocative and powerful film. We couldn't be more excited to introduce it to audiences through our continued collaboration with our partners at Anchor Bay."

The film will release later this year.

Kane starring in WWE movie sequel

WWE Studios is producing a sequel to "See No Evil" starring Kane as Jacob Goodnight, according to Variety.com. Production on "See No Evil 2" will start in the fall with Jen and Sylvia Soska serving as directors. 

Opinionated View- I never saw the first movie but I have never heard anything good about it. But damn this is going to lead for another big push for Kane. I just hope we don't have to deal with another May 19th like story.
