Paige Returning Tonight, Update on Big Show and Miz’s Returns

Paige is returning at tonight’s house show in State College, Pennsylvania. Paige hasn’t been on TV since before Extreme Rules when she was attacked by Naomi; she has been filming Santa’s Little Helper in the meantime.
– Big Show is expected to return at the Raw and Smackdown tapings next week. Show has been off TV since losing at Extreme Rules to Roman Reigns.
– The Miz, who was also filming Santa’s Little Helper, is expected to return within the next month. The details of his return aren’t set yet.

As previously reported, The Miz and Paige will star in WWE Studios’ Santa’s Little Helper. The film will begin production this month. Paige was written off TV after an attack by Naomi, which will let her have time to shoot the project. It appears as though The Miz may be next. The movie arrives on Digital HD, Blu-ray and DVD this holiday season.
WWE set a match between The Miz and Damien Mizdow on RAW for the rights to the Miz likeness and gimmick. It’s expected that this will be how Miz is written out of storylines for the next few weeks

The Miz and Paige to Star in WWE Studios Film

The Miz and Paige are set to star in Santa's Little Helper, a WWE Studios film that will be released on Digital HD, Blu-ray and DVD this holiday season.

- It was announced on Raw that Seth Rollins will “be in action” on this week’s Smackdown, though who he would face wasn’t named. Rollins will also be a part of a Miz TV segment on the show.
This week’s episode will be the last episode to air on a Friday before Smackdown moves to its Thursday night timeslot next week.

Interesting Note on Miz’s Recent IC Title Win and Loss

 The Miz’s recent victory and loss of the IC Title was familiar territory for him. The Miz defeated Dolph Ziggler to win the IC Title at the WWE Night of Champions PPV. He then lost title the very next night on Raw, back to Ziggler. This is not the first time that this has happened to the Miz. Back in 2013, Miz won the IC Title during the WrestleMania 29 pre-show to Wade Barrett. He then lost the title the next night, back to Barrett.

NXT Start to be Paired up With The Miz?

- Wrestlezone reports that there is talk backstage in WWE that The Miz could be paired up with WWE NXT Superstar Tyler Breeze. The reported reasoning is because the two wrestlers have similar gimmicks. Breeze would join The Miz's "entourage" alongside Damien Sandow, or rather Damien "Mizdow." According to the report, Breeze would not be brought in to replace Sandow. However, Sandow's current gimmick seems one step closer to "creative has nothing for you" anyway.

WWE Considering Intercontinental/United States Title Unification Match For SummerSlam

WrestleZone reports that WWE is considering adding a Intercontinental/United States Title unification match at Summerslam. The match was being discussed by WWE over the weekend and would be a Miz vs. Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler triple threat match.

Possible Plans for WWE SummerSlam

- There is talk that the IC Title match at Summerslam will be a triple threat match. At this time, the match would see The Miz defending the IC Title against Dolph Ziggler and Bo Dallas.


- At this time, it appears that Hulk Hogan may be involved some way at Summerslam. Hogan is booked for the August 11th edition of Monday Night Raw, which is the go home show for the PPV. Word is that there will be an angle on that show to set up Hogan's involvement in the Summerslam PPV.

Opinionated View- The IC tire match sounds awful. I want don't want to see Hogan in a angle because that just sounds like a reason for Hogan to beat up some young heel.

Details On Who Was Originally Planned To Win The Intercontinental Title at Battleground

During last night's WWE Battleground event, The Miz won the Battle Royal to become the new Intercontinental Champion. He eliminated Dolph Ziggler, who thought he had one and didn't realize Miz had been hiding out on the floor.

The original plan was for Ziggler to win the Battle Royal, but it was decided on Tuesday at a production meeting to give it to Miz instead. The change was made because Miz will be doing a lot of media appearances in the next few weeks and has The Marine 4 coming out. 

The Miz will now feud with Sheamus before moving on to face Ziggler. 

Opinionated View- Problem is no one cares about the Miz right now. If you wanted him to have a title why not have him win the US title from Sheamus. Meanwhile Ziggler remains lost with no direction.

The Miz is reportedly watching old tapes of Andy Kaufman for inspiration for his new Hollywood "money maker" character

Opinionated View- Kaufman was an actual Hollywood star, at the time no one had ever seen his act before. Now there have been numerous people that tried the "Hollywood" star gimmick.

Update on The Feud Between The Miz and Sheamus

The matches between the Miz and Sheamus that were held this week were the start of a long-term program between the two. The feud will be centered around the Miz being protective of his face, with the end game of Sheamus hitting him with the brogue kick to "ruin Miz's moneymaker".
