Latest on Ric Flair's WWE Return - Who Will He Manage?

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ric Flair is scheduled for his full cardiovascular physical in Pittsburgh this week in order to see if he's able to come back to WWE TV as a full-time TV character. The company is being extra careful with those of Flair's age range after Jerry Lawler's heart attack and Ultimate Warrior's passing.

It is believed among those in Creative that Flair should be a babyface at this stage in his career. There have been several ideas floated in regard to who he could be paired with. One suggestion was to put him back with Miz, following up on when he "gave" Miz the figure-four as a submission move with the hopes that he could be pushed up as a top babyface. There are quite a few who are skeptical of this however, feeling that Miz is "damaged goods" and at best should go heel if they want to push him up the card since fans don't like him and his face runs have flopped.

Flair wants to manage Ziggler and sees him as a potential top star. Another idea is putting him alongside the Shield against Evolution to follow up on his TV appearance, but since Batista is leaving and they don't know where they're going next right now, it's possible Evolution won't be featured as a group after Payback.

The site notes that Flair has been back in the gym and gotten his weight down to 230 pounds, with a goal of 225 when he gets back to TV.

Opinionated View- These are all awful ideas. Having Flair back on TV at his point is bad enough. Miz being a face has wrecked him he's been lost since turning it. Ziggler doesn't need flair he just needs a solid push. And the Shield sure as fuck doesn't need Flair stealing there thunder.

Was Roman Reigns Injured at WWE Live Event?

According to a live report by Hugh McStay sent to The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online, Roman Reigns may have suffered an injury at Wednesday's WWE live event in Glasgow, Scotland. Reigns reportedly "clashed heads" with Randy Orton during the Steel Cage main event on 5/14 leaving Reigns bloody. He was described as looking out of it.
WWE has not addressed the injury as of Wednesday evening.
Opinionated View- I can speak from personal experience that sometimes when you clash heads it does just rock you for a few seconds. But than your fine. I'm sure WWE doesn't want to lose Reigns and Bryan in the same week

WWE No Longer Considering Shield Break-Up?

- Another day, another set of plans that have changed in regard to WWE booking. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE is no longer considering breaking up the Shield. The report notes that, as we have previously reported, the company delayed plans to break up the group because they were getting strong babyface reactions.

If original plans had been met than they would have already split by now, and obviously that hasn't happened. As of this point there is no discussion of having the group break up any time soon.

Rematches Being Discussed For WWE Payback

- WWE is planning on continuing the Evolution vs Shield feud at Payback. It's currently believed that the two teams will have another six-man tag team match, but there is talk of doing three singles matches between the members of each group. WWE is trying to find a way to make both teams look strong at the same time.

- As previously reported, Daniel Bryan vs Kane in a Buried Alive Match is also being discussed for the event. This could be a way to write Kane off of WWE TV, as he will be doing promotional work for See No Evil 2 during the summer and fall.

More on Last Night’s Raw Script Change

- As previously reported, Daniel Bryan was originally slated to face Batista in the script for last night's Raw. That was changed to Bryan vs. Del Rio. Another version of the script had Batista wrestling Roman Reigns, with Reigns getting the victory.

- Evolution was originally announced to be the timekeepers for the Wyatt Family vs. The Shield match, but was changed because the feeling was that the ending of the show would be too predictable with them out there.

The Latest on WWE Possibly Doing a War Games Match

- With WWE running feuds with The Shield vs. The Wyatts and now The Shield vs. Evolution, there has been speculation and rumors regarding WWE doing a "War Games Match" at an upcoming PPV.

The company has their PPV locations mapped out, and word is that only one arena the company has booked between now and SummerSlam can fit the two ring setup that War Games requires. That would be the Tampa Bay Times Forum, which hosts the Battleground PPV on July 20th in Tampa, FL.

Opinionated View- I don't think they will ever do it. They might do something similar but they will never go with the two ring setup or have the same style cage.

Plans For Shield Match at Extreme Rules (SPOILERS)

While it hasn't officially been announced, a Shield vs. Evolution match is planned for Extreme Rules. The angle for this was, of course, set up on Raw this past Monday. Who will be involved is not yet known; Ric Flair is not expected to be involved, but Kane or Triple H could both be added as the third man to face off against the group.

There is also a possibility that Daniel Bryan will be added to the Shield team in order to make it an eight-man tag team match. Also rumored for the show is John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt.

Opinionated View- FUCK! I do not want to see Kane or Triple H again. And its WWE so you know Evolution will go over. Let me guess Cena will also main event jus tike he did during most of Punk's long title run.

Shield's WM Match Cut For Time

- The Shield/New Age Outlaws & Kane match on WrestleMania 30 was cut short due to time, both in terms of the ring entrances and the match itself. This was in order to make time for the rest of the show.

Opinionated View- Gee if only they had a long boring segment with three guys who already had numerous chances on WrestleMania. If only they had a pointless post match beat down on Daniel Bryan to feed Triple He's ego. If only they didn't have Lesnar and Taker go to damn long.

The Shield is currently being advertised to team with John Cena for the next few weeks at live WWE events, and the stable has also been added to more events where they will be teaming up with Cena for the next two months. So it appears the group will not be breaking up just yet and will be staying faces after WrestleMania tonight

Opinionated View- Well that's a way to damage there face turn have them team with Cena.

News On Why The Shield Turned Face

As we previously reported, the plan for the future of The Shield is for Roman Reigns to split off as a solo babyface star while Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins remain a heel tag team.

Wrestlezone reports that the group turned face on RAW so that the New Age Outlaws could work with them before the Shield breaks up. WWE also wants to get the team over as faces to help Reigns get over as face for when he splits with the other two. The plan will be for Rollins and Ambrose to turn on Reigns.

Opinionated View- This really worries me first the Shield is way to talented to be wasted on the Outlaws. Second your turing Ambrose and Rollins face just to turn them heel again in a few more weeks. Third I don't know if Reigns is ready for a big singles push.

WWE Holding off on Major WrestleMania 30 Decisions, New Match Ideas Being Discussed (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)

Due to CM Punk's recent walkout of the WWE, the WrestleMania 30 card is now reportedly in a state of flux. WWE is currently holding off for a few more weeks before major decisions on the card are made, so the crowd reactions can be gauged for certain Superstars.

Two match ideas that are now being discussed are a triple threat match between all three members of The Shield and another triple threat match for the WWE world heavyweight title between Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, and Batista. If WWE goes forward with the triple threat title match, than a triple threat match with The Shield is not likely to take place because WWE doesn't want two triple threat matches on the same show.

Rumored Matches For The WWE Elimination Chamber PPV

- The following matches are rumored for the WWE Elimination Chamber PPV…

  • CM Punk vs. Kane
  • Batista vs. Alberto Del Rio
  • The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family

  • Opinionated View- Well Punk vs Kane needs to be a squash but it won't be I'm sure they will protect that washed up slug. Del Rio vs Batista will suck. Shield vs Wyatt Family could be awesome.

Roman Reigns Reportedly Being ‘Fast Tracked’ For Babyface Run

    - At this time, WWE's plan is to fast track a Roman Reigns bayface push. WWE officials reportedly feel that Reigns has the potential to be one of the next big Superstars for the company. WWE intentionally put Reigns in a big spot on Monday (spearing Big Show) to make him look impressive.

Opinionated View- I have been won over by Reigns since he came up to the main roster but I still don't think he's ready to be a singles guy yet. I think if you want a Shield member to be a singles face I'd go with Rollins.
