TV Title Match Set For ROH Annivearsy PPV

Ring of Honor issued the following press release to announce the TV Title match for their 13th Anniversary event, which will be broadcast on pay-per-view.

Rumors of a dream match have swirled on social media but now it is official. The legendary, 2nd generation Mexican wrestling star, Alberto El Patrón, will challenge Jay Lethal for the Ring of Honor World Television Championship live on Pay Per View at our 13th Anniversary event.

Upon his arrival in ROH, Alberto El Patrón wanted an opportunity to speak with his fans on ROH Television. Alberto proclaimed that he was finally among the best wrestlers on the planet and he wanted a shot at the most important title in professional wrestling, the ROH World Championship. Lethal and his manager, Truth Martini took major offense to this and Lethal interrupted Alberto, telling him he should have done his homework before coming to class. Lethal made it known that he is the measuring stick for the best professional wrestler on the planet and that his championship was the most important.

This meeting of two very different athletes in the prime of their careers is something that does not happen very often. This rivalry has taken on a personal twist as Lethal feels Alberto overlooked him as a champion. El Patrón believes Lethal has challenged his manhood, something for which Alberto will not stand.

ROH Announces TV Title Match For January 3rd TV Tapings

ROH TV Report Ciampa vs Lethal For ROH TV Title

We are in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and your announcers are Kevin ‘Mummers’ Kelly and Steve ‘Can we do these matches in Clearwater, the Phillies are playing today’ Corino.

In two weeks, AJ Styles will face Michael Elgin on the television show.

Match Number One: Hanson and Raymond Rowe versus Bill Daly and Will Ferrara

Daly and Ferrara decline the handshake so there is no Code of Honor. Hanson and Daly start things off but Ferrara tags himself in. They lock up and Hanson with forearms to the back. Hanson with a slam. Rowe tags in and they hit a double shoulder tackle. Rowe with a chop and forearm. Rowe with a belly-to-belly slam followed by a chop.

Hanson tags in and Rowe with a forearm and then he Irish whips Ferrara to Hanson for a knee to the midsection. Hanson sends Ferrara to Rowe and Rowe with a knee. Hanson with a German suplex for a near fall. Daly breaks up the cover and Hanson has something to say.

Ferrara with a rake of the eyes and Daly tags in. Daly with a punch and chop. Hanson with a cartwheel and Ferrara tags back in and he gets clotheslined by Hanson. Rowe tags in and he hits a fallaway slam. Rowe with a shoulder tackle. Rowe sends Ferrara into the turnbuckles and Hanson tags in and they both kick Ferrara in the corner.

Hanson with a belly-to-back suplex. Rowe tags in and he punches Ferrara followed by a chop. Daly with a knee to the back and he tags back in and he connects with knees to Rowe followed by a chop. Daly with a slam and he hits a fist drop. Rowe with a forearm and Ferrara tags in and Rowe hits a spinning spinebuster.

Daly with a boot to Rowe but Hanson with a boot to Daly. Hanson misses the spin kick, but he is not the legal man in the match. Rowe is and he hits Death Rowe for the three count.

Winners: Raymond Rowe and Hanson

After the match, Michael Elgin makes his way to the ring. Elgin takes the mic and he says there is a term in wrestling and in life that gets thrown around too easy and that is respect. In Ring of Honor, there is only one way to get it and that is to earn it. In Pittsburgh, he came out and saw both men give it all to be the Top Prospect in Ring of Honor. He saw them fight tooth and nail because Ring of Honor represents the Best Wrestling on the Planet.

Ray came out at the 12th Anniversay Show and showed him that he has what it takes to earn his respect. Hanson beating Rowe earned his respect. When you come to Ring of Honor, you set your sights on one thing . . . championship gold. Michael says that he has their backs and he sees tag team gold around their waist in the future.

Michael says that he has been in the ring too many times when people had Adam Cole’s back when no one had Elgin’s back. He wants to make sure that Hanson and Rowe have his back. It is only a matter of time before Michael Elgin is the new Ring of Honor World Champion.

We are back and Kevin Steen is in the ring with something to say to Cliff Compton. Before Kevin can speak, Outlaw Inc’s music plays and they come to the ring.

Eddie says hello to Philadelphia and he calls them a bunch of sheep. He wants to know what is up with Kevin. He tells Kevin that they have taken care of the ‘Cliff problem’. He has a proposition for Kevin. Kevin was with ‘that scumbag’ as he points at Corino and a few other people, but now Eddie wants Kevin to join a real group.

Sinclair screwed Eddie and Homicide just like they did to Kevin so why not join them.

Kevin wants to make sure that he heard Eddie right and he appreciates the offer, but the last time he was part of a group it did not work out that well. That other group were better people than Eddie and Homicide so he respectfully declines.

Eddie tries to keep Steen in the ring while he leaves and referees and Nigel come out. Nigel says that he has been around the block a few times. If they want to fight, they can have a fight but it will be under Ring of Honor rules.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Eddie Kingston joins Kevin and Steve at the announce table.

Match Number Two: Kevin Steen versus Homicide

Homicide attacks Steen before the bell and he connects with forearms. Steen with forearms of his own. Homicide with more forearms. Steen with a back elbow and punch followed by a chop. Steen with a forearm to the head. Steen with a snap mare and kick to the back. Steen with a back senton.

Steen throws Homicide’s bandana at Kingston. Homicide with a drop kick and Steen goes to the floor. Homicide sets for a tope con hilo but he stops before the ropes and walks casually to the floor but Steen with a punch. Steen sends Homicide into the guardrails.

Homicide tags in a fan but Steen continues to attack Homicide and he asks the fan to come in since he could be the legal man. Steen with a back drop for a near fall. Homicide with a tornado DDT for a near fall.

Steen with a kick and forearm. Steen goes to the turnbuckles and Homicide with a palm thrust. Homicide sets for an Ace Crusher off the turnbuckles but Steen bites Homicide and then Steen with a Senton for a near fall. Steen sends Homicide into the turnbuckles and Kingston pulls Homicide out of the ring before the cannonball, but Steen with a cannonball onto Homicide and Kingston from the apron.

Steen brings Homicide back in and sets for the package piledriver but Homicide escapes and tries for an Ace Crusher but Steen pushes Homicide away and Steen with a pop up power bomb. Steen sets for another Package Piledriver but Kingston hits Steen with a back fist and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Kevin Steen (by disqualification)

After the match, Kingston chokes Steen. Kingston takes the ring bell and he gives it to Homicide. Homicide hits Steen with the bell. Cliff Compton comes to the ring with a chair and Kingston and Homicide leave the ring.

Compton stands in the ring with the chair and Steen is in the corner but Compton leaves and we go to commercial.

We are back and Nigel McGuinness is in the ring. He says that in New Orleans, on the biggest weekend on the wrestling calendar, Ring of Honor will present Supercard of Honor. The World Title will be defended.

Jay Briscoe interrupts Nigel and he comes to the ring with his waist jewelry.

Nigel says that he cannot think of a time when there were so many credible contenders for the World Title and Jay is one of those contenders.

Jay says that he appreciates being called a credible contender. Jay reminds Nigel that he beat Adam Cole in San Antonio. Adam Cole got beat by the man who never got beat for the ROH World Championship. The way he sees it, the belt he has on his shoulder is the ROH World Championship. He truly believes the he is the World Champion. Ain’t no one beat him. His belt holds the true lineage of the World Championship.

You have two guys claming to be the World Champion and there can be only one.

Nigel agrees and he says that he wants to do away with the controversy over who is the real Ring of Honor World Champion. There is only one way to do it. They need to hang each belt above the ring so high there is only one way to win the match . . . with a ladder. At Supercard of Honor, the lineage of the World Title will be restored in Ladder War.

Adam Cole’s music plays and he makes his way into the arena. Cole says absolutely unbelievable. He thought it was impossible for Nigel to get any more stupid, but he was proven wrong. Adam Cole says in Pittsburgh, Nigel decided to give the man who pinned him a title match so the three team tag match ended up being a four on two handicap match. Because he is the best wrestler on the planet, he overcame that roadblock and beat Chris Hero.

In San Antonio, Jay gets a tainted victory over him and Jay has bullied Nigel into believing that there is a dispute over the World Title. There is no dispute because there is only one World Champion and his name is Adam Cole. If he has to beat Jay within an inch of his life to prove Jay is not the true champion and that Adam is, let’s do it.

Adam says that it is funny that Jay thinks he has the true adavantage but in reality, he does not know what is about to hit him.

Michael Bennett comes to the ring and he hits Jay with a low blow. Mark Briscoe comes to the ring with a chair and Cole and Bennett leave the ring.

Maria Kanellis appears at the entrance with Cole and Bennett.

We are back with a video package of the end of the Martini/Taven working relationship.

Matt Taven is at the announce table for the next match.

Match Number Three: Jay Lethal versus Tommaso Ciampa for the ROH Television Title

Lethal and Ciampa exchange punches and forearms while streamers shower the ring. Ciampa with kicks to Lethal and then he pulls down the knee pad but Lethal gets to the floor before Ciampa can do anything. Ciampa follows and they exchange more punches and forearms. Ciampa sends Lethal back into the ring and Lethal with a chop.

Lethal with a hip toss and cartwheel but Ciampa moves before Lethal can try for the drop kick. Lethal with an enzuigiri. Lethal with an Irish whip and Ciampa sends Lethal to the apron. Lethal with a forearm followed by a springboard drop kick. Ciampa goes to the apron and Lethal tries for the springboard drop kick but Ciampa goes to the floor and Lehtal misses.

Ciampa swings Lethal head first into the guardrails. Ciampa sends Lethal into the guardrails again and then he hits a running knee to the head against the guardrails. Ciampa sends Lethal into the guardrails again and he sets for another knee but Lethal gets up and Lethal with a hip toss and cartwheel followed by a drop kick.

They return to the ring and Lethal gets a near fall. Lethal with a suplex for a near fall. Ciamap with a chop and then we go to the crowd where we see two fans with dueling chants for Lethal and Ciampa. Back in the ring Lethal and Ciampa exchange chops. Lethal takes control of the situation and he slams Ciampa. Lethal with a snap leg drop for a near fall. Ciampa with a kick and clothesline for a near fall. Ciampa puts Lethal on the turnbuckles and he connects with a forearm. Ciampa with an elbow to the back of the neck. Lethal hangs precariously from the turnbuckles but Ciampa pulls him back up for a superplex and he connects.

Ciampa gets a near fall and we go to commercial.

We are back and Ciampa yells at Lethal before kicking him in the head three times. Lethal with punches, chops, and slaps. Lethal goes for Lethal Injection but Ciampa gets his knee up to block it and he gets a near fall. Lethal sends Ciampa to the apron and Lethal hits a springboard drop kick to knock Ciampa from the apron. Lethal with a suicide dive. Lethal hits a second suicide dive. Lethal goes for the Soar and Score Triple Crown and he sends Ciampa into the front row.

Lethal sends Ciampa into the ring and he goes up top for the elbow drop and he connects but Lethal can only get a two count. Ciampa rolls to the apron and Lethal follows. Lethal calls for the Lethal Injection on the apron but Ciampa with a knee and Ciampa with an Air Raid Crash on the apron.

Truth Martini makes his way to the ring and he sees Matt at the announce table. Meanwhile, the match that is the focus of this segment sees Ciampa and Lethal down on the floor while the referee gets to nineteen and then both men are reanimated and they return to the ring to break the count.

Both men struggle to get back to their feet and Ciampa runs into a boot but Ciampa with a forearm. Lethal with a chop and forearm. Lethal with an Irish whip and Lethal misses a charge into the corner. Ciampa with a sit out Burning Hammer for a near fall. Lethal with the Lethal Combination into the Koji Clutch. Ciampa is able to escape the hold and counters into the Sicilian Stretch but Lethal gets his foot on the rope to break the hold.

Martini reads from his book and directs it at Taven. Taven slaps Martini’s book away and then Taven grabs Martini and chokes him on the apron. The referee ignores what is going on in the match to focus on Taven and Martini.

Lethal blocks Project Ciampa and then Ciampa goes for a sunset flip but Lethal drops down and he has Ciampa pinned for more than a three count. Ciampa picks up Lethal and hits Project Ciampa and gets the three count.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa

AJ Styles’ Opponents Confirmed For The ROH Anniversary Weekend Events

- Ring of Honor has announced the opponents for AJ Styles during their 12th anniversary weekend. Styles will face Jay Lethal on February 21st and Michael Elgin on February 22nd. The Lethal match is part of the 12th anniversary show, while the Elgin match is part of the TV tapings the next day. Both events take place at the Pennsylvania National Guard Armory in Philadelphia, PA.

ROH TV Report: Cole vs Lethal

We begin this week’s show with a look back at what happened during the match between Michael Bennett and BJ Whitmer when Whitmer suffered an injury. Nigel says that they will provide updates on BJ’s condition. Since Bennett was able to continue, he will advance to the second round to face Tommaso Ciampa.
Nigel says that the people in Ring of Honor are elite athletes, but accidents do happen.

Match Number One Roderick Strong versus Matt Taven (with Truth Martini, Scarlett and Selezia) in a First Round Match in the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Title Tournament

They lock up and Taven with a wrist lock. Strong with a reversal and a take down. Taven with a reversal but Strong with a reversal and drop toe hold into a reverse chin lock. Strong with a front face lock but Taven gets to the ropes. Taven retreats to the ropes and then he goes to the floor after Strong spat on him.

Taven returns to the ring and they lock up and Taven with a knee and forearm. Taven with an Irish whip and Strong floats over and hits a drop kick. Strong with chops followed by a back breaker and he gets a near fall. Strong with a forearm to the back fo the head followed by a shoulder in the corner.

Strong with more chops to Taven. Truth grabs the leg and Taven gets a near fall with a rollup. Strong with a drop kick and he suplexes Taven and gets a near fall. Strong with knees and Taven sends Strong to the apron. Strong sends Taven into the turnbuckles. Truth grabs Strong’s leg again and Taven with a drop kick to the head.

Taven punches Strong on the floor and then he sends Strong head first into the table. Taven brings Strong back into the ring and he punches Strong. The referee warns Taven. Taven chokes Strong in the ropes. Taven with a delayed vertical suplex and Taven kips up.

Taven with a springboard senton for a near fall. Taven starts to focus on the leg and he drops an elbow to the leg. Strong with forearms. Strong with a rollup for a near fall. Strong with chops but Taven with a drop kick and he gets a near fall and Strong gets his foot on the ropes.

Strong kicks Taven but Taven with punches. Strong with forearms and Taven stops him. Strong with an Irish whip and Taven with an enzuigiri for a near fall. Taven with a sit out gourdbuster and then he goes up top for a moonsault but Strong gets his knees up.

Strong with a boot to a charging Taven. Strong with chops to Taven followed by a flying clothesline and a spinning side slam for a near fall. Strong with a running knee into the corner followed by a running forearm. Taven with a boot to Strong but Strong with a back body drop and a clothesline that sends Taven over the top rope to the floor.

Strong with a baseball slide through the ropes. Selezia gets on the apron and distracts the referee long enough to allow Truth to hit Strong in the back with the Book of Truth. Nigel says something to Truth. Strong appears to want Truth to stay at ringside. Taven tries to attack Strong from behind, but Nigel pulls Strong out of the way and Taven hits Truth instead.

Strong with a burning hammer back breaker on the apron and then Strong gets a near fall. Strong tries for a back breaker but Taven escapes and he hits a round kick. Taven runs into a boot from Strong and Strong with an enzuigiri. Taven with a round kick and Angel’s Wings for a near fall.

Taven goes up top but Strong with an enzuigiri and then Strong hits a superplex and he gets a near fall but he turns it into the Strong Hold. Taven tries to get to the ropes and he succeeds. Taven sends Strong into the ropes. Taven with Roll The Dice on the top rope and Taven goes up top for a frog splash and he connects but Strong kicks out.

Strong counters the snap mare driver with a back breaker and then he hits a head and leg back breaker followed by a flying kick to the knee. Strong with End of Heartbreak for the three count.

Winner: Roderick Strong (Advances to face winner of Kevin Steen versus Brian Kendrick)

Match Number Two: Match Number Eight: Kevin Steen versus Brian Kendrick in a First Round Match in the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Title Tournament


Kendrick with kicks to the leg and elbows to Steen’s arm followed by a wrist lock. Steen with a punch and reversal into a hammer lock and Kendrick gets to the ropes. Steen with a single leg take down and Kendrick gets to the ropes and Steen breaks. They lock up again and Steen with a waist lock take down.

Kendrick with a waist lock into a side head lock. Kendrick with a shoulder tackle and Steen stays on his feet. Steen wants Kendrick to try again and Kendrick has the same result. Steen tells Kendrick the third time might be the charm. Kendrick ducks a clothesline and he connects with forearms. Kendrick with a float over into a victory roll.

Kendrick with a side head lock and Steen with a shoulder tackle. Steen with a drop kick and he poses. Kendrick goes to the floor and Steen holds the ropes open for Brian. Kendrick takes advantage of the twenty count to return to the ring. Kendrick returns to the ring and then he goes to the floor again.

Steen goes to the floor and he chases Kendrick around the ring. Kendrick gets back into the ring first and he connects with a shoulder. Kendrick goes to the apron again and Steen pulls him to the floor. Steen tries for a power bomb onto the apron but Kendrick escapes and gets onto the apron. Kendrick with an elbow and Steen with a slepper. Kendrick with Sliced Bread #2 on the apron.

The referee checks on both men. Kendrick returns to the ring first and Steen has trouble getting back to his feet. Kendrick with a baseball slide when Steen returns to the ring and he gets a near fall. Kendrick with a camel clutch. Steen backs Kendrick into the turnbuckles to try to get out of the hold. Steen goes to a second turnbuckle but with no luck. Kendrick holds on to the sleeper and Steen falls back to the mat and he escapes.

Kendrick with a forearm and Steen with a forearm. Steen with punches and forearms. Kendrick with a kick to the head but Steen with a lariat and a fisherman neck breaker for a near fall. Kendrick holds on to the ropes and Steen with forearms to the back.

Steen misses a charge into the corner and Kendrick with a drop kick. Kendrick goes for a Burning Hammer but he cannot get Steen up. Kendrick with a jaw breaker. Steen with a back elbow to Kendrick. Kendrick with a forearm and a modified Death Valley Driver for a near fall.

Steen goes to the apron and Kendrick tries to suplex Steen back into the ring. Steen blocks and he tries to suplex Kendrick to the floor. Kendrick with a forearm and Steen with a shoulder and Steen with a sunset flip that rolls into a Sharpshooter but Kendrick fights out of the hold. Steen catapults Kendrick onto the turnbuckles.

Kendrick with a tornado DDT for a near fall. Kendrick goes for Sliced Bread #2 but Steen counters with F-Cinq and Kendrick kicks out at two. Steen sets for the package piledriver but Kendrick escapes and hits a super kick. Steen sends Kendrick into the turnbuckles and hits a Sleeper suplex for a near fall. Steen charges into the corner but Kendrick pulls the referee in front of him.

The referee is moved out of the way and Kendrick with a low blow but Steen grabs Kendrick by the throat and hits a choke slam. Steen continues to hold his groin and Steen hits a Cannonball. Steen with the Sharpshooter. Kendrick taps out.


Winner: Kevin Steen (Advances to face Roderick Strong in the second round)

We are back and we see how Jay Lethal and Adam Cole advanced to the second round of this tournament.


Match Number Three: Jay Lethal versus Adam Cole in a Second Round Match (from All Star Extravaganza)


They circle each other for a while before locking up. They lock up and Lethal with a wrist lock. Cole rolls through to reverse. Lethal backs Cole into the corner and he gives Cole a clean break. They lock up again and Cole with a side head lock take down but Lethal with a head scissors and Cole escapes. Cole with another side head lock take down.

Cole with a shoulder tackle. Lethal stops short of a leap frog and he takes Cole down with a side head lock. Cole gets away and he takes Lethal down with a side head lock. Lethal with a chop out of a break in the corner. Lethal with a float over on an Irish whip. Lethal tries for a side head lock take down but Cole stays on his feet.

Cole tries for a La Magistral but Lethal is able to shift his weight and he gets a near fall of his own. Cole gets a near fall. Cole with a side head lock take down. Lethal gets back to his feet and he tries to send Cole off the ropes but Cole holds on to the side head lock. Lethal with forearms and he tries for a belly-to-back suplex. Cole lands on his feet.

Cole tries for a hip toss but Lethal blocks it. Lethal with a hip toss followed by a cartwheel, but Cole knows what is coming so he gets on his feet and he tries for another side head lock take down but Lethal blocks it and Lethal with a drop kick to the head. Lethal gets a near fall.

Lethal with an elbow to the head followed by a back breaker and Lethal gets another near fall. Lethal gets another near fall as he tries to wear down Cole. Lethal sends Cole into the turnbuckles and then he chops Cole. Lethal with more chops. Cole with a forearm and Lethal fires back. Lethal with a knee followed by a belly-to-back suplex and he gets a near fall.

Lethal with a rear chin lock. Cole with punches. Lethal tries for a super kick but Cole blocks it. Cole with a leaping neck breaker for a near fall. Cole with a snap suplex and he floats over and gets a near fall. Cole with a slam followed by a forearm drop and he gets a near fall. Cole with a reverse chin lock.

Lethal with elbows to try to get out of the hold and Cole with a waist lock but Lethal with a rollup for a near fall. Cole has a super kick blocked and Lethal with a back heel kick and snap mare followed by an inverted DDT and Lethal gets a near fall. Lethal puts the legs into a figure four and he elevates Cole. Cole counters and tries for a figure four leg lock but Lethal tries to fight Cole.

Cole applies the figure four but Lethal gets to the ropes quickly and Cole releases the hold. Cole with a forearm that staggers Lethal. Lethal with a punch. Cole with another forearm. Lethal with punches and chops. Cole with forearms. Cole is sent to the apron by Lethal. Cole goes to the floor and he connects with an enzuigiri.

Lethal with a springboard drop kick that sends Cole to the floor and Lethal with a suicide dive onto Cole and both men are down on the floor. The referee starts his count while Lethal and Cole struggle to get back into the ring. Lethal gets back into the ring first, followed by Cole.

Cole and Lethal are on their knees across the ring from each other. They exchange punches and forearms. Lethal with the advantage for a moment but Cole with the advantage. Lethal with punches and chops but Cole with a kick. Cole with a fireman’s carry neck breaker for a near fall.

Cole goes up top but Lethal stops him. Lethal with a chop to Cole and Lethal climbs the turnbuckles. Cole with forearms and punches and then Cole hits a sunset flip power bomb followed by a Shining Wizard but Lethal kicks out. Cole tries for a suplex but Lethal blocks it. Cole tries again and Lethal lands on his feet. Lethal hits the Lethal Combination for a near fall.

Lethal points to the turnbuckles and he goes up top for the elbow drop but Cole pops up. He punches Lethal to stop him. Cole sets for a superplex but Lethal blocks it. Lethal with a punch and head butt to send Cole to the mat. Lethal with a missile drop kick attempt but Cole backs up and Lethal does not connect. Cole tries for a figure four leg lock but Lethal counters with an inside cradle and a near fall.

Lethal with a back heel kick and he calls for the Lethal Injection. Cole grabs Lethal to stop his momentum but Lethal is able to come off the ropes but he is met with a super kick from Cole. Cole with a brainbuster neck breaker for a near fall.

Cole picks up Lethal but Lethal with a jaw breaker. Cole with an O’Connor Roll for a near fall. Cole has a super kick blocked but Cole with an enzuigiri. Lethal with a super kick but he misses a second one. Cole with a leg take down and he tries for a figure four leg lock but Lethal kicks him away. Cole misses a kick to the head and Lethal tries for a rollup but Cole is able to get away from Lethal.

Lethal with another super kick and Lethal goes up top for the elbow drop and he connects. Cole kicks out at two. Lethal tries to pick up Cole but Cole falls to the mat. Lethal tries to pick up the lifeless body of Cole. The referee checks on Cole. Cole with a super kick but Lethal backs Cole into the corner. Cole with a super kick to the back of the head.

Lethal escapes and he hits a back handspring into the Lethal Injection but Cole kicks out at two. Lethal tries to think of what he needs to do to win the match. Lethal picks up Cole and he puts Cole on the turnbuckles.

Lethal goes for a superplex but Cole escapes and he super kicks Lethal’s leg and it crotches Lethal. Cole with a release German superplex followed by a super kick and Florida Key for the three count.


Winner: Adam Cole (Advances to face winner of Michael Bennett versus Tommaso Ciampa in semifinals at Death Before Dishonor)

More Detailed 9/7 ROH Results

At the start of the show they had a local celebrity duo come out and warm up the crowd. One of them sang the National Anthem. The crowd looked to be under 200 people. The floor level seats housed the majority of the audience, the stadium seats were pretty empty. 

1. Tommaso Ciampa beat Luke Hawx. Hawx came out first to little or no reaction. Ciampa came out to a decent reaction. Hawx's chest was messed up from what I assume was a stiff chopfest the night before. Ciampa did his best to play up the crowd. Match was so-so. Ciampa wins with a second rope Air Raid Crash. Both men upheld the Code of Honor before and after the match.

2. Kevin Steen defeated Q.T. Marshall (w/Veda Scott). QT and Veda came out first. Veda cut a promo putting down the crowd and putting over Marshall. Steen came out to a nice ovation. Both men trade poses at the start of the match. Early on Steen clotheslines QT over the top to the floor. Marshall tries to walk away. Steen grabs QT's ring robe. Puts it on and poses. QT comes back for his robe, Steen takes it off and throws it at Veda. At one point QT does Cena's "You can't see me" pose then hits the AA.Crowd boos, then cheers when Steen kicks up at one. Steen wins the match after a cannonball in the corner to a seated Marshall, then Steen goes up and nails the Swanton Bomb for the three count. Code of Honor upheld.

3. Michael Elgin over Raymond Rowe. Both men trade strength tests and power shots early on. Crowd loved Elgin. Chants of "Next World Champ" throughout. Both guys are hitting stiff bombs. Elgin gets Rowe up in a delayed vertical suplex for an audience count of 60. Elgin puts together a combo of a rolling elbow,a spinning backfist, a turnbuckle powerbomb and a spinning Elgin Bomb for the three count. Code of Honor upheld.

4. Michael Bennett (w/Maria) defeated Davey Richards. Davey was the most over person yet. He is super intense and an amazing athlete. Davey controlled the match until Bennett hit a neckbreaker that Davey sold hard. Bennett then focused his attack on the neck. Each time Davey tried to mount a comeback, his neck would give out. Match ended with a scuffle as Maria distracted the ref. Davey went to grab her, Bennett nailed a superkick to the back of Davey's neck and followed it up with a piledriver for the win.  Bennett upholds the Code of Honor by shaking Davey's hand as he was on his back getting attended to by refs. 

After Davey got back to his feet he grabs a mic. He put over Bennett as the better man on this night. He mentioned the interest WWE has been giving him. He he might stay in ROH for the love of the sport, not the money. He finished the promo saying Bennett won the battle but he declares war. "The hunt is on!"

This took us to a 15 minute intermission. 

There was a goofy segment that opened the second half. President "JC"of the local CW affiliate that broadcasts ROH TV was there popping the crowd, putting over ROH. Truth Martini interrupted him. Truth and JC went back and forth in basic hometownheel/face promo. JC threatened Truth, who played the coward. When JC turned his back, Truth swung his book and missed. JC gave him a Stunner. The crowd was happy. On with the show...

5. Jay Lethal defeated ROH TV Champion Matt Taven in a Proving Ground match. The crowd loved Lethal. Lethal looked smooth and crisp throughout. Lethal hit the Lethal Injection and Taven rolls out of the ring. Truth and the Hoopla Hotties ran interference. Taven came back in and ate a superkick from Lethal, who nailed a double Lethal Injection on Taven and Truth. Taven was pinned and Lethal earned a future TV Title shot. The Code of Honor was upheld. 

6. ROH Tag Champions Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly defeated Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander, Adrenaline Rush, and Alabama Attitude in an Instant Reward match.Attitude's Mike Posey (yes, that Mike Posey) was in great shape. The match was non-title. If one of the three other teams won the match they would have received an immediate tag team title matchFish and O'Reilly. 

The match started with tag in and out/ back and forth standoffs. There was a scary moments when Coleman slipped running the ropes and fell awkwardly into them with the back of his head hitting the top rope. He tagged out quickly. He looked shaken, but okay. Red Dragon worked over Posey until a hot tag to his partner Corey Hollis. The match broke down. 

Coleman summoned the powers of the American Dream and strutted while nailing everyone in the match with Bionic Elbows, even his partner by accident. There were men jumping in and out nailing big moves back and forth. They took turns doing suicide dives. Red Dragon gets the win on ACH with a stalling brainbuster by O'Reilly and a roundhouse kick by Fish before being dropped on his head. An exciting match that was the crowd favorite by far. No title match seemed to be no problem. All four teams uphold the Code of Honor.


7. Adam Cole defeated Roderick Strong in a Ringmaster's Challenge. Roderick was as stiff as ever. Cole has a great look and style. The action was solid and fast from the start with lots of unusual counters and moves. Cole won the first fall by pinfall when Strong went for a turn around dive and ate a superkick in mid-air, then took the Florida Key. Cole 1, Strong 0.

Cole went right to work on Strong's leg. Wrapping it around the ring post, then latching on the Figure Four around the ring post. Cole kept attacking Strong's leg, but Strong would not submit. A series of submission counters and reversals ends with Cole tapping to the Stronghold. Cole 1, Strong 1.

The final fall was a 15 minute Ironman Match. Strong earned the first point by pinfall with a superplex follow by a vertical suplex in a double knee backbreaker. Five minutes in, Cole came back hitting big move after big move for nearfall after nearfall. Cole wone the next point by pinfall after a superkick followed by the Florida Key. 

Both men had one point each in this fall. Cole came back with more big moves. Strong was almost counted out after he was superkicked while on the top rope and falls to the floor. Strong made it in on a wounded leg at the count of 19. Cole locked on the Figure Four leg lock in the center of the ring. Strong eventually got to the ropes to break the hold. 

The crowd is hot for this match with steady dueling chants throughout. Cole earned the third point of the fall with a small package. The Ironman Match was now 2-1 Cole as we reached the two minute warning. Cole was stalling and running away from Strong trying to run out the clock. Strong gave chase but the bad leg slowed him down and time expired in the Ironman match, meaning Cole defeated Roderick Strong in a Ringmaster's Challenge Rules matchup 2 falls to 1. 

Post match Cole ran out of the arena as Strong gives chase. They upheld the Code of Honor to start the match but not to end it.


Michael Elgin came back out in street clothes. He thanked the crowd, put over ROH, and plugged the finals of the ROH Title Tournament in two weeks. He guaranteed he will be the next Ring of Honor World Champion.

- Rhino saved Muscant from a second pile driver from Bennett

- Rhino would dump Bennett on a security barrier and once they got back in the ring, Rhino took a fall off the top rope for what was said to be a nasty bump

- Rhino gored Bennett after the match after Maria told Bennett to hit him with a chair

- said to be a really good match

Number Eleven Added to ROH Tournament

Jay Lethal has been named the 11th entrant into ROH's 16-man Title Tournament. He joins Michael Elgin, Brian Kendrick, Karl Anderson, Kevin Steen, Paul London, Roderick Strong, Sonjay Dutt, Tommaso Ciampa, BJ Whitmer and Adam Cole. The single elimination tournament begins on July 27 in Providence, Rhode Island and will conclude in Philadelphia, Pa. at Death Before Dishonor XI.
