Bob Ryder on Recent TNA Re-Signings

As previously reported, Bram was signed to a new multi-year contract yesterday. There was confusion from fans over why Bram was resigned after he signed a multi-year contract in March, prompting Bob Ryder to explain in a Disqus chat why it happened. You can see his explanation below:
“Wanted to drop in quickly to update you on the signings today. These are new deals that we negotiated with Bram and The Wolves. Davey & Eddie signed new one year deals. Bram signed a new two year deal. The deals replace the existing agreements that still had several months remaining.
Because we tore up the existing agreement and rewarded him with a new agreement that was in recognition of the job he has done for us and the potential to become a top star for us in the future.
The sky is the limit with him. We have shown a willingness to renegotiate before contracts end to try to be fair to the talent based on their spot on the card. He came in under an entry level agreement and has earned the deal he just signed.”

The Wolves Re-Sign With TNA Wrestling

TNA Executive VP of Talent Relations John "Big" Gaburick posted the following on Twitter today, announcing that The Wolves have again re-signed with the company:

"Happy to announce #TheWolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) have re-signed with @IMPACTWRESTLING."

TNA Wrestler Gets Married

Eddie Edwards got married in Texas this past weekend. Edwards married indy wrestler Alisha Inacio who works under the name Alexxis Nevaeh.

Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, Adam Cole, Davey Richards and girlfriend Angelina Love were among those in attendance.

TNA Acknowleges The Injury to Eddie Edwards

TNA posted the following on Impactwrestling.com today, acknowledging the leg injury to TNA Tag Team Champion Eddie Edwards that took place a month ago during a series of TNA One Night Only PPV Tapings in Orlando, Florida:

In a major piece of breaking news, IMPACTWRESTLING.com has learned that one-half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions, Eddie Edwards, has sustained a serious injury. The Wolves currently hold the top prize in all of tag team wrestling, so Edwards' injury will obviously be a hot topic.
The Wolves, specifically Davey Richards, have a tough decision to make. Will Richards choose a new partner to defend the TNA World Tag Team Titles with until Edwards returns? If so, who would that partner be? We caught up with Davey who had the following to say.
"This is obviously a very difficult decision. Eddie and I have been thinking about what to do since we learned just how serious his injury is. I don't know what that answer is yet. We will issue a statement this Friday on what's next. Until then, send your best to Eddie!"
One thing is for sure, the TNA tag team division will certainly be in for an interesting turn of events over the next few days. Injury Update on Eddie Edwards

As previously reported, Eddie Edwards broke his heel during the previous set of Impact Wrestling TV tapings. Edwards is expected to be back in time for the May TV tapings, although there is no word on what the promotion plans to do with the TNA Tag Team Titles that he co-holds with Davey Richards.

TNA didn’t want to make an official announcement about the injury after the Wolves won the belts last week. While it is possible that they could do nothing with the titles, that would mean that the Wolves wouldn’t defend the titles for over two months in terms of TV time.

Opinionated View- Well it good to hear he will be back in May. I've given my idea have Davey team up with Matt which you could use to build tension between the Hardys and Wolves.

Eddie Edwards Expected To Undergo Surgery (SPOILERS In Article)

Eddie Edwards ended up suffering a confirmed broken heel during a match taped for the TNA "One Night Only X-travaganza" PPV on Sunday in Orlando. Edwards suffered the injury in a match with his tag team partner Davey Richards while attempting a backflip off the ring apron. His foot was described as giving out when he landed.

The recovery time for Edwards isn't known at this time, but he is believed to be out for a significant amount of time including surgery. The injury comes just as Edwards and his tag team partner Richards took part in becoming the new TNA Tag Team Champions at the UK tapings set to air in the coming weeks on Destination America (airing 3/6).

TNA wraps up PPV tapings this afternoon and evening in Orlando. The company then returns to Orlando on 3/13, 3/14, 3/15 and 3/16 for Impact Wrestling tapings.

Update on Eddie Edwards Injury

As noted, Eddie Edwards was taken to the hospital today after suffering what was believed to be an ankle injury during the TNA One Night Only: Xtravaganza pay-per-view taping. PWInsider reports that it's now believed to be a heel injury, not an ankle break.

The injury came when Edwards did a back-flip off the apron and landed on his feet. The match he was in ended about a minute later. Edwards was helped to the back by trainers and Tommy Dreamer.

Eddie Edwards has been diagnosed with a broken heel, which he suffered during a match at the TNA pay-per-view taping in Orlando, Florida on Sunday.

Opinionated View- Its not clear how long it takes the injury to heal. The plus side is the show has been pre-tapped.

Breaking News Eddie Edwards Injured

Eddie Edwards suffered an apparent right foot injury at the TNA pay-per-view taping in Orlando, Florida on Sunday. Anthony Buchanan attended the show and noted that Edwards suffered the injury, held the back of his foot, and had to be helped to the back by Tommy Dreamer.

Opinionated View- Hopefully Edwards will be ok. Why you never want anyone to get hurt the good news is Impact Wrestling is in the can like when Davey got hurt. So the Wolves won't miss any TV time. Hopefully Eddie can be ready to do in time for the next Impact tapings.

The Wolves Weren’t Told They Were Pulled From Bound for Glory?

As we previously reported, The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) were pulled from Bound for Glory and replaced with Team 3D. The word is that the team didn’t know they were off the show until it was announced later in Japan. The PPV card still hasn’t been set yet, which is causing confusion for the talent.

Opinionated View- Or maybe the net got it wrong again and now they need to cover for when Eddie and Davey do wrestle.

What Are TNA's Plans For The Tag Titles With Davey Richards' Injury?

TNA is currently taking a "wait and see" approach to the tag title situation after Davey Richards broke his leg. They aren't in a hurry to make a decision because they have enough television taped to last until September 25. If Ricahrds will be out of action more than a month or two, they will strip the Wolves of the belts. Right now, they are planning to keep the titles on the team. 

Opinionated View- That's the right move. You have shows in the can take advantage of that. Hopefully Davey can be back.

Top TNA Star High on Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards

- Word is that Bully Ray is very high on new TNA talents Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards. During recent creative meetings, Ray has been very protective of how the duo has been booked and presented in the company. 

Opinionated View- So far I have enjoyed how TNA has presented the team. When they finally wrestle a match its going to be a big deal.

Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards have signed one year deals with TNA according to a report by Jason Powell. Richards and Edwards will still be able to work independent dates approved by TNA, but not of indy companies who run iPPVs, have regional TV shows, or have DVDs sold in retail stores. Richards and Edwards are scheduled to work TNA's upcoming tour of the UK and live events beginning in Feburary. 

Opinionated View- Well I hope its true about them working the UK tour. As for the one facts in this story I think it could old Powell has it wrong. I assume the one year has some kind of role over option them working indy shows could just be they booked a lot dates after the WWE deal fell through and don't want want to burn bridges. But no matter what I'm glade The Wolves are part of TNA.

Former Ring of Honor World Champions Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards are have arrived in Huntsville, Alabama - the site of tonight's TNA Impact Wrestling television event. The duo are expected to debut at the Genesis themed shows tonight, as Dixie Carter has been teasing on her Twitter page.

Opinionated View- Ok for those that missed it or just want a recap. Davey and Eddie appeared to be on the verge of joining WWE and even worked an NXT show. But something went wrong during there match and WWE also decided they were to small. So instead of giving them a deal WWE basically wanted them to have an extended tryout.

I actually think TNA will work better for Davey and Eddie. Number one TNA doesn't have the whole land of giants rep. Two TNA is more open about the style you can work we have seen guy like AJ guys like Storm, guys like Low Ki.

Are the American Wolves About to Debut With TNA

PWinsider.com is reporting that TNA officials have been in talks with "The American Wolves" Tag team of Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards for several weeks now, likely since the duo got word that WWE wouldn't be signing them.

It's expected they will be debuting for TNA soon as they have canceled some upcoming independent wrestling dates. It's possible they could appear on Thursday's live Impact Wrestling from Huntsville, Alabama.

Another Possible Reason For WWE Not Signing The American Wolves

According to reports that one reason why Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards have not been called back to WWE may be their match with the Ascension on NXT. During that match, Rick Viktor picked Richards up awkwardly which resulted in Richards being dropped on his head. They did the move differently when working the match out before the tapings. 

Triple H (through the referee) then gave them orders to finish the match, but they didn't do it right away. This could have played a part in why the two were not offered contracts. 

Opinionated View- That makes a little more sense but still come on. I mean you let idiots like Big E and Henry on your show and they screw up all the time.
