Update on ROH Wrestlers Who Tried Out for WWE

- WWE has reportedly not contacted any of the wrestlers who participated in the March tryout camp at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The tryout featured some top ROH talent, including Kevin Steen, Roderick Strong, and ACH.

Roderick Strong Does Well at Recent WWE Tryout - Who Else Attended?

- Roderick Strong, Kevin Steen, Arya Daivari (Shawn Daivari's younger brother), David Starr, Michael Elgin, Rocky Romero, Ronny Reeves, Willie Mack and Zane Dawson were all reportedly part of the most recent WWE tryout camp at the Performance Center.

Reports say that both Steen and Strong did well, but that Strong impressed both in the ring and with his speaking skills.

At this time there are no updates on if any of the talents have been offered contracts. Most times it takes four to six weeks for talents to be informed of they will be offered a deal or not. 

Opinionated View- Are there more than one wrestlers using the name Roderick Strong? OR did WWE mess up and think someone else was Strong? I mean that only explanation I could get for him impressing as a talker. Of course WWE was stupid enough to pass on the Wolves.

ROH Takes Place in WWE Tryout

Ring of Honor wrestlers Kevin Steen, Roderick Strong and ACH all took part in a tryout with WWE last week in Orlando at the WWE Performance Center. Steen reportedly dropped weight before the tryout camp. His current deal with ROH expires this June.

Major ROH Stars At Next WWE Tryout Camp

- ROH wrestlers Roderick Strong and Kevin Steen are said to be considered likely candidates for the next WWE NXT tryout camp at the WWE Peformance Center in Orlando, Florida. Strong and Steen are reportedly confirmed to take part of the tryout, which is set for March 24-March 26. In addition, indy wrestling worker Michael Elgin is also trying to get into the tryout camp, but there is no definitive word as to whether he will be a part of it.

Opinionated View- all three guys have talent and could be signed. Now with Strong he's weak on the microphone can very repeative in the ring and if the WWE didn't want The Wolves I can't see them taking Strong. Steen doesn't have the WWE look now that's part of his gimmick and appeal but I could see missing that. Elgin has a great look but he's not that tall and to the WWE that could be a strike against him.

Ring of Honor added the following matches to the 12th Anniversary Show, which takes place on Saturday in Philadelphia, Pa.

ROH TV Report: AJ Styles Returns

We are in Nashville, Tennessee and your announcers are Kevin ‘Did You Know AJ Styles is back’ Kelly and Steve ‘I might have heard it once or twice’ Corino. They are joined by Prince Nana for the opening match.

Match Number One: Hanson versus Andrew Everett in a Top Prospect Tournament Semi-Final Match

Everett with a waist lock but Hanson with a hip lock take down. Everett is picked up by Hanson when Everett goes for a front face lock and Hanson puts Everett on the turnbuckles. Hanson with chops. Everett with a missile drop kick and then he tries for a head scissors but Hanson holds on and prevents him from hitting the move.

Everett with a dropsault that sends Hanson to the floor. Everett goes for a Fosbury Flop but Hanson catches him and he sends Everett into the ring post. Hanson with a forearm across the chest and the back. Hanson with another forearm across the chest and he gets a near fall. Everett with forearms but Hanson with a Northern Lariat and he rubs Everett’s face in the mat.

Hanson gets a near fall. Everett with forearms after avoiding a suplex but Hanson with a forearm. Hanson tries to send Everett into the turnbuckles but Everett with a head scissors that sends Hanson into the turnbuckles followed by a forearm in the corner and a head scissors.

Everett lands on the apron and then he hits a springboard drop kick for a near fall. Hanson sends Everett into the turnbuckles but he runs into a boot from Everett. Everett tries for a sunset flip but Hanson picks him up and tries for a suplex but Everett lands on his feet and Everett gets a near fall with a rollup.

Hanson clotheslines Everett over the top rope to the floor and Hanson goes for a suicide dive but Everett moves and Hanson hits the guardrails. Everett with a shooting star press onto Hanson on the floor. Everett rolls Hanson back into the ring and he goes for a springboard move but he is met with a back heel kick from Hanson and Hanson gets the three count.

Winner: Hanson

We go to commercial.

We are back and Michael Bennett and Maria Kanellis make their way to the ring.

Maria says that nobody has heard from the Ring of Honor power couple since what happened at Final Battle. That is because Kevin Steen touched her in the most vile way. He is everything that is wrong with wrestling. She is not mad that he touched a girl, but she is mad that he got a victory that he did not deserve.

Maria says that she is a woman who believes in equality. She knows that she is in harm’s way at ringside, but she is not afraid of any man. Kevin Steen is a disgusting man who looks like everyone in the crowd. Maria says that she has found a man who will take care of Steen and someone who is on Steen’s level.

Kevin may have taken their piledriver, but Michael Bennett has created a finisher that is even better. She feels bad for Cedric Alexander. When they are in the ring, it is not a Ring of ‘honor’, it is a ring of ‘power’.

Match Number Two: Michael Bennett (with Maria Kanellis) versus Cedric Alexander

Bennett misses a punch and Alexander with a slap and punches. Alexander flips over Bennett’s back and hits a drop kick. Alexander chops Bennett around the ring. Bennett with a back elbow to Alexander. Bennett with chops followed by an Irish whip and clothesline in the corner. Bennett with a suplex for a near fall. Alexander with punches followed by a European uppercut.

Bennett with a kick and then he punches Alexander in the corner. Alexander slides to the floor and then he returns to the ring before Bennett gets to the floor. Alexander with an elbow that knocks Bennett off the apron. Alexander goes for a dive to the floor but Maria gets on the apron. Alexander goes for another dive and this time Maria ducks while Alexander hits Bennett.

Bennett is rolled into the ring and Maria with a back rake to Alexander as we go to commercial.

We are back and Alexander is on the floor. Bennett goes to the floor and he pushes Alexander into the guardrails. Bennett sends Alexander back into the ring and gets a near fall. Bennett throws Alexander to the floor again and Bennett follows. Bennett with an Irish whip into the guardrails but Bennett runs into a boot from Alexander. Bennett with a spinebuster onto the apron.

Bennett rolls Alexander back into the ring and he waits for Alexander to get up. Bennett misses a splash into the turnbuckles. Alexander holds on to the ropes to prevent an Irish whip but Bennett with a punch. Alexander with a kick to Bennett followed by a back body drop. Alexander with a head scissors that sends Bennett to the floor. Alexander teases a dive but he sees Bennett return to the ring so Alexander goes to the apron.

Alexander with a springboard clothesline and then he goes for a move into the corner but Bennett moves. Alexander lands on the turnbuckles and he goes for a kick but Bennett moves. Alexander with an enzuigiri and Alexander gets a near fall. Alexander with a springboard move but Bennett turns it into a spear. Bennett with the Box Office Smash for a near fall.

Bennett goes for the Photo Finish but Alexander escapes. Alexander with a drop kick in the corner and then he hits a second one. Alexander gets Bennett on his shoulders and then he connects with a kick that sends Bennett to the floor. Alexander brings Bennett back into the ring and he goes up top but Maria distracts Alexander. Alexander goes for a frog splash but he lands on Bennett’s knees. Bennett with a short arm clothesline followed by the Anaconda Vice and Alexander taps out.

Winner: Michael Bennett

We go to commercial.

We are back and Nigel McGuinness joins Kevin and Steve at the announce table.

Match Number Three: Roderick Strong versus A.J. Styles

They lock up and Strong with a waist lock. Styles escapes and Strong returns to the waist lock. Styles with a key lock. Strong with a hammer lock. Styles with a take down but Strong with a head scissors. Styles escapes the head scissors and applies a side head lock. Styles with a rear chin lock.

Strong backs Styles into the corner and Strong pushes Styles on the break. Strong and Styles have some words for each other and Styles takes Strong down. Styles with another double leg take down but Strong with a guillotine on Styles.

Strong with a kick and side head lock and shoulder tackle and Strong mocks Styles. Strong with a rollup for a near fall. Styles with kicks and chops followed by a Phenomenal drop kick and Strong goes to the floor. Styles with a baseball slide to Strong and Roderick hits the guardrails as we go to commercial.

We are back and Styles with a pump handle gutbuster to Strong. Styles with a chin lock and his knee in Strong’s chest. Strong with punches to the midsection but Styles with a punch. Strong with an Irish whip but Styles with a knee. Styles goes to the apron for a springboard move but Strong with a drop kick and Styles lands on the apron.

Strong sends Styles into the guardrails a few times. Strong rolls Styles back into the ring and Styles rolls to the apron. Strong follows and Strong tries for a backbreaker onto the apron but Styles rolls into the ring and Styles with a baseball slide but Strong moves and then hits a half nelson back breaker onto the apron.

Strong gets a near fall. Strong with a waist lock but Styles with an elbow. Strong with a forearm. Styles lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex attempt and then each man goes for a cross body and both men go down. Styles with a clothesline and elbow followed by a back spin kick. Strong sends Styles to the apron but Styles with a forearm and Phenomenal forearm. Styles with a Death Valley neck breaker for a near fall.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Styles signals for the Styles Clash but Strong counters with a back drop but Styles holds on. Strong avoids a second Styles Clash attempt. Strong with a knee and Olympic Slam. Strong with a running knee into the corner followed by a forearm and a uranage back breaker for a near fall.

Strong tries to get Styles on his shoulders but Styles escapes. Strong runs Styles into the turnbuckles but Styles with an elbow. Styles goes for the springboard moonsault into an inverted DDT but Strong counters the DDT attempt. Strong with kicks to Styles but Styles hits the springboard moonsault into the inverted DDT for a near fall.

Styles pulls Strong into position and Styles goes up top. Strong stops Styles with a forearm. Strong with a punch and chop. Strong goes up top for a superplex and hits it. Strong gets a near fall. Strong goes for the Gibson Driver but Styles with a kick to the head to escape. Strong misses a splash in the corner and Styles hits the Pele Kick. Styles hits a brainbuster for a near fall.

Styles goes to the apron and he tries for a springboard 450 but Styles slips on the ropes and instead it turns into a springboard forearm to the head. Styles limps while picking up Strong. Strong with an enzuigiri but Styles with a kick. Strong with a back breaker and then he hits Death By Roderick for a near fall.

Strong with forearms but Styles fires back with forearms of his own. Strong with a leaping knee but Styles with Calf Killer. Strong rolls through and gets a near fall. Styles with a forearm but Strong with a forearm of his own. Strong and Styles exchange chops. Styles with forearms and kicks but Strong with a Sick Kick for a near fall. Strong goes for End of Heartache but Styles counters. Strong with a leaping knee but Styles with a discus clothesline followed by a Styles Clash for the three count.

Winner: A.J. Styles

After the match, BJ Whitmer and Jimmy Jacobs attack Styles. Jacobs chokes Styles while Whitmer kicks him. Jay Lethal, Tadarius Thomas, Chris Hero, Mark Briscoe, and Michael Elgin come to the ring and Jacobs and Whitmer leave the ring.

Roderick Strong Pulled From this Weekends ROH Shows

Ring of Honor announced that Roderick Strong will not able to wrestle at the Pittsburgh show on Saturday due to ongoing neck issues. His best of three falls match against Paul London has been scrapped, but London will face Cedric Alexander in a singles match on Saturday. Read more at ROHwrestling.com.

Roderick Strong health update and status for weekend Evolve events

Evolve booker Gabe Sapolsky issued an email news alert in which it states that Roderick Strong will not be able to wrestle at the Florida shows this weekend. "Roderick Strong suffered a graphic neck injury last weekend," Sapolsky wrote. "We had constant communication with Strong since the injury and monitored his progress.

"We were all the under the impression he would be able to perform this weekend at EVOLVE. However, today he felt discomfort in his neck when he worked out. After a conference call today, it was decided that for Roderick's future it was best he rest as a precaution. Roderick will still be at Friday's EVOLVE 25 card to sign autographs and meet you. We will welcome him in the DGUSA/EVOLVE ring when he is ready." Read the official announcement at DGUSA.tv.

Opinionated View- For those that missed it Roderick suffered the injury when he decided to turn his head during the Styles Clash when wrestling AJ Styles at an ROH show. Hopefully he will be able to recover. 

Roderick Strong injury update

The word within Ring of Honor is that Roderick Strong is believed to be okay following the botched Styles Clash he took during Saturday's match with A.J. Styles in Nashville, Tennessee. "Roddy will be following up with a physician this week to make sure he's good to go," one source stated. 

Opinionated View- You can find the video to the botch on line and it's pretty clear Roderick at fault deciding to turn his head for some reason. You would think after the Kaz botch years ago everyone would know don't move your head just take the move.

More Detailed ROH Spoilers

Episode One Taping (airs on January 11)

1. Raymond Rowe beat Kongo by pinfall in the first round of the Top Prospect Tournament. A good opening match. The crowd wasn't super into it, but I remember seeing both in the past few months. Rowe was working on the Road to Greatness shows in September as I saw him in Birmingham. Kongo worked the dark match versus another top prospect in Corey Hollis at Supercard of Honor VII in NYC in April. Kongo is a big dude, but Rowe looks like a stud. 

After the match, Kongo was laid out in the ring, and out came Michael Elgin. Elgin picked up the large man in Kongo and power bombed him and cut a promo about he won't rest until he gets Adam Cole.

2. Corey Hollis pinned Mike Posey in the first round of the Top Prospect Tournament. Corey Hollis vs The Benchmark was supposed to happen but the Benchmark came out and forfeited due to a high ankle sprain. Hollis's tag team partner in Alabama Attitude, Mike Posey, challenged him to a match for the first round of the tournament. Solid match as those two guys have known each other for five years or so.

3. Jay Lethal pinned Caprice Coleman. A high paced, fast energy match which got the crowd excited. Lethal won with the Lethal Injection. Afterwards, Lethal gave a nice rub to Coleman saying that he'd be the first to tell him that Coleman has a bright future

4. Kevin Steen beat Chris Hero. Hero looks like he toned up a lot, as he looks really lean nowadays. He trimmed down his beard as well. They put on a fantastic match in which most of the crowd was split 50/50. After the win by Steen, Hero exited first, which let Steen get a standing ovation. On the way out, what looked like to be Cliff Compton grabbed Steen as he was walking out and just put him in a sleeper hold. They crowd was buzzing after this thinking it was a random fan. 

Episode Two 

1. Andrew Everett beat The Romantic in the first round of the Top Prospect Tournament. A few people in the crowd including my buddy who was with me mentioned Romantic Touch looked a lot like Rhett Titus under the mask. They put on an entertaining match and Everett advanced.

2. Hanson beat Cheeseburger in the first round of the Top Prospect Tournament. Cheeseburger was the most over wrestler in the tournament, but man was he undersized to Hanson (who I swear they called "Dixie" all night long). Hanson was billed at 250+ while Cheeseburger was billed at 125 lbs. Cheeseburger got limited offense in as this was a squash match.

3. Jimmy Jacobs and BJ Whitmer beat Mark Briscoe and Adam Page. Mark Briscoe and Adam Page were supposed to have a match but that was interrupted by "The Decade" (Strong, Whitmer, and Jacobs). After a few promos, it ended up being a tag team match with Page and Briscoe facing Jacobs and Whitmer (who I thought retired at Final Battle). Jacobs and Whitmer won.

Jay Briscoe came out and issued his open challenge to Adam Cole for the "Real World Title" that Briscoe claims he has. Adam Cole came out and after a promo said he would answer "next week."

4. Tommaso Ciampa pinned Silas Young to retain the ROH TV Title. Ciampa and Young were about to fight but Matt Taven (minus the Hoopla Hotties and Truth Martini) came out and said he wanted a rematch. Silas Young got in his face and Taven pushed him and they brawled. Lethal was at ringside for commentary and after a good match that Ciampa won, Lethal, Ciampa and Taven, who came back out, had a staredown for the belt.

Episode Three 

1. Raymond Rowe over Corey Hollis to advance in the semifinals of the Top Prospect Tournament. Both looked a bit sloppy in this match. It's probably due to being tired from previous matches, but both look like they have a bright future. Hollis is only 23 or 24 and has been wrestling for 5 years already and Rowe is booked to look like a stud. I think he will win the tournament after advancing to the Finals.

2. RD Evans beat Mike Sells. RD Evans came out with Veda Scott and faced what is reported as Mike Sells. Sells had "Sex Sells" on his tights so we all called him Sex Sells in the crowd and heckled him for it. RD Evans got the win via pinfall.

After the match, Veda Scott got on the microphone and issued an open challenge to anyone on the ROH roster to face RD Evans, who is 14-0 in Ring of Honor. 

3. RD Evans beat Michael Elgin by DQ in a special challenge match. Elgin came out and just decimated RD Evans from the start. Throwing him into barricade after barricade and just manhandling him all throughout ringside. After a buckle bomb and a power bomb by Elgin, it wasn't enough as he grabbed two chairs and did a power bomb on the chairs on Evans. As a result of that, Evans is 15-0 by winning via DQ. 

4. Matt Taven defeated Tadarius Thomas. Matt Taven, once again without the hotties or Truth, came out to face Tadarius Thomas. Taven even abided by the Code of Honor. Shocking face turn as he isn't as fun or interesting without the Hotties or Truth. Taven won an entertaining match with Thomas. 

5. Jay Briscoe beat Bobby Fish. Briscoe came out and wanted an answer from Cole from the previous week's open challenge. Instead of Cole answering, Bobby Fish came out and cut a promo which lead to a match. After a solid 15 minute match and a run in by Adam Cole, Jay Briscoe hit his Jay Driller on Fish to win the match. 

After this match, they announced a return for Best in the World on June 21. While in line waiting for my ticket, which they had on sale there, I asked the ticket guys if they were happy with the turnout. They didn't give an attendance figure but said this was the "Best show they've ever had coming into a new city for the first time." The show was practically sold out, even in the general admission. I got my front row seat for Best in the World as well. There also was about a 10-15 minute intermission after the announcement.

Episode Four

1. Hansen pinned Andrew Everett in the semifinals of the Top Prospect Tournament. A fun match that the crowd really was into after feeling rejuvenated from the intermission. Everett is a high flyer who really can work his spots, and Hanson or "Dixie" as I swear Bobby Cruise was calling him, showed an insane amount of strength as he caught Everett off a moonsault off the second rope to the floor. Hanson got the win to set up a match with Raymond Rowe in Pittsburgh.

2. Mike Bennett (w/Maria) beat Cedric Alexander. A grueling and high paced match. Bennett and Maria came out and talked trash before the match, insulting most Nashvillians. Bennett looks like a major star in the making. He really knows how to get in people's head and to have heat on him. At one point, he threw Alexander repeatedly into the barrier right in my corner where I was sitting, and got into the face of a fan. The fan had been annoying all night, even to other fans around us, and whimpered away when Bennett asked him to do something. Bennett got the win using a former boyfriend of Maria's finishing maneuver, the Anaconda Vice. This got major heat on Bennett as the crowd moaned and groaned.

3. A.J. Styles defeated Roderick Strong. AJ got a hero's welcome. Streamers flew in more than they did throughout the night for Styles' return to RoH. Styles and Strong put on a really good match that was extremely stiff. Lots of chops, kicks and punches. About 3/4 of the way through the match. AJ looked like he was going for his springboard 450 splash but lost his footing on the ropes and landed very awkwardly. He was noticeably in pain, as he immediately grabbed his knee and limping noticeably afterwards. 

They went for the finish and after a Sick Kick by Strong, AJ put Strong in the hold for the Styles Clash. Strong tucked his head down after looking at the video posted on Prowrestling.net instead of pulling it back so he could land on his chest. He landed on his neck very awkwardly and the crowd was horrified and nervous. AJ pinned him for the win, and after the match, it looked like Strong said "I can't feel my arm" as he was holding his left arm. However, the rest of the The Decade ran in and beat down on AJ Styles which Strong moved out of the way on his own. That got a sigh of relief out of the crowd. The rest of the ROH locker room made the save and Lethal cut a promo thanking Nashville, and thanking AJ Styles for "Coming Home."

3. A.J. Styles defeated Roderick Strong in the main event. Another very good match. Strong landed on his neck awkwardly during the Styles Clash, but he was okay after a scare. This concluded the taping. 

AJ Styles Returning to ROH

"The Phenomenal One" is back! A true Ring of Honor pioneer and one of the greatest wrestlers in the sport today, AJ STYLES, has been signed to compete once again in an ROH ring on January 4th, 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee!

After finalizing the deal within the last couple hours we can now officially confirm that the long awaited return of AJ Styles to ROH will kick off 2014 in only 1 week at the Nashville Fairgrounds!

 

AJ Styles will face "Mr. ROH" Roderick Strong in Nashville in a huge match that will air on ROH TV the weekend of February 1st! It has been 8 years since Styles competed in ROH while Strong has been one of the most consistent competitors in ROH for the last 10 years. We are excited to welcome AJ back but not too sure that Strong will feel the same way.

Opinionated View- Big get for ROH as AJ is a step ahead of many of the guys on there roster. And for those about to go "This means it over with TNA." I am still standing by its a work and part of an on going story this isn't the first time TNA talent has appeared on ROH and I have a feeling it will happen again. 

Update on Roderick Strong and TNA

- There is no deal between Roderick Strong and TNA at this time. TNA executive Dave Lagana has reportedly been talking with Strong and other top independent talents he has worked with in the past about potentially coming to TNA.

TNA Reportedly Interested in Signing Top ROH Stars

- According to reports, TNA is interested in signing ROH stars Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards and Roderick Strong. TNA is apparently open to bringing in new talent, and TNA creative team member Dave Lagana has experience working with all three from when he was involved with Ring of Honor. 

Opinionated View- I have made my feeling on Strong pretty clear he's a decent hand but will top out in the mid card. Eddie and Davey would be great and I think can be main eveners. Eddie and Davey had a WWE tryout and it appears were passed on (WWE is stupid) and I think given they have don everything you can do in ROH they need to move on.

ROH TV Report: More Matches From Glory By Honor

We are in Chicago Ridge, Illinois and your announcers are Kevin Kelly and the returning Steve Corino.
Match Number One: Jesse Sorensen versus Tommaso Ciampa


We have the Code of Honor before the match starts. They lock up and Ciampa with a clean break. Sorensen with a waist lock but Ciampa stays on his feet. Ciampa with a side head lock and shoulder tackle but Sorensen pops back up. They lock up again and Ciampa with a side head lock.

Ciampa with a shoulder tackle and Sorensen tries to get back up but Ciampa knows what is coming and he sends Sorensen back to the mat with a shoulder. Ciampa tries for the Kryptonite Crunch but Sorensen counters with a sunset flip for a near fall. Ciampa swats away a drop kick but Ciampa misses a running knee.

They lock up and Ciampa backs Sorensen into the corner. Ciampa with a chop but Sorensen chops back. Ciampa with a cravate and slap to the face. Ciampa avoids a punch and Sorensen with a drop kick and punches. Sorensen with a leaping leg lariat and drop kick.

Sorensen slaps Ciampa followed by an Irish whip. Sorensen is sent to the apron by Ciampa and then Ciampa knocks Sorensen off the apron and to the floor with a knee. Ciampa goes after Sorensen and connects with a forearm to the back and then he exposes the floor. Ciampa tries for a suplex onto the floor but Sorensen lands on his feet and he goes back into the ring for a pescado and he connects as we go to commercial.

We are back and Ciampa with a clothesline and he gets a near fall. Ciampa with a forearm and he sends Sorensen to the mat. Sorensen wit han uppercut but Ciampa with a kick to the arm followed by a neck breaker from Sorensen and a series of swinging neck breakers for a near fall.

Sorensen gets Ciampa on his shoulders but Ciampa with elbows to get back to the mat. Ciampa with a full nelson but Sorensen drops down and gets a near fall with a rollup. Sorensen with an enzuigiri. Ciampa with a Burning Hammer for a near fall. Ciampa with a forearm in the corner followed by an Irish whip. Sorensen with an elbow but Ciampa takes care of Sorensen and Ciampa pulls down the knee pad and he connects with two running knees to the head.

Ciampa gets Sorensen on his shoulders and he goes to the turnbuckles for a super Kryptonite Crunch but Sorensen with a sunset flip power bomb for a near fall. Ciampa kicks Sorensen and he tries for Project Ciampa but Sorensen escapes. Ciampa applies the Silician Stretch and Sorensen taps out.

Match Number Two: Outlaw Inc. (Eddie Kingston and Homicide) versus Adrenaline RUSH (ACH and Tadarius Thomas)


Kingston and ACH start things off and Kingston with a waist lock take down. ACH gets to his feet and Kingston with a cravate. ACH with a side head lock. Eddie with a side head lock. Kingston with a shoulder tackle and arm drag take down. ACH with a drop kick and Kingston sends ACH to the apron. ACH with an enzuigiri and then he goes up top for an elbow. ACH teases a dive to the floor and Homicide and Kingston get out of the way.

We are back and Homicide works on the leg from the turnbuckles and he tags in Kingston who kicks ACH and continues to work on the knee. Kingston with a modified Cloverleaf but ACH is able to get to the ropes. ACH with punches but Kingston with a forearm and he tags Homicide back in. Kingston with a slap to the injured hamstring. Homicide puts ACH’s leg in the ropes and he continues to work on it.

Homicide with a step over toe hold and then he applies an STF followed by a fish hook. ACH with Paydirt and both men are down. ACH kicks Homicide away and Thomas tags in. He goes after Kingston and Homicide with a kick. Thomas with a rollup for a near fall. Thomas kicks Kingston and follows with a forearm. Homicide with a kick. Thomas with a suicide dive onto Kingston when Homicide Irish whips him.

Homicide with a back heel kick and he goes for a tornado DDT but Thomas puts Homicide back on the turnbuckles and he connects with a forearm before hitting a superplex for a near fall. Homicide with a neck breaker and Kingston with a sliding D for a near fall. ACH takes care of Kingston but it appears that ACH did more damage to his leg.

Homicide with a kick and he sets for the Cop Killer but Thomas escapes and he runs Homicide into the corner. Thomas puts Homicide on the turnbuckels for a superplex but Kingston stops him. Homicide with a super bulldog for the three count.


Winners: Outlaw Inc.


After the match, Eddie Kingston gets on the mic and he says that it is another show where those snowflakes reDRagon ducks them. He tells reDRagon to stop running from them. Eddie says that they are a bunch of pu**ies.

We go to commercial.

We are back, but before our main event, it is time to talk about Jay Briscoe. Has he hit rock bottom despite being medically cleared to wrestle? We have a video package that shows Nigel’s announcement that Jay has been stripped of the title, Jay giving the title to Adam Cole when he won the title tournament, Adam Cole’s comments about Briscoe, and Jay’s actions at New Dawn.


Match Number Three: Paul London versus Roderick Strong


They lock up and Strong with a waist lock. London with a standing switch and take down. They tease a test of strength but Strong with a take down into a front face lock. London with a take down and he gets a near fall.

We have a test of strength but London with a kick to the head. Strong with a shoulder tackle and after leap frogs, London hits a drop kick that sends Strong to the floor. London with a pescado onto Strong and we go to commercial.

We are back and London with a chin lock and he tries for a suplex but Strong blocks it and he sends London to the apron. Strong with a butterfly back breaker for a near fall. Strong with kicks in the corner followed by a chop. Strong with punches but London escapes a back breaker attempt and London with chops. London with a float over but Strong with an elbow and then he sends London into the ring post.

Strong with a modified bow and arrow using the ring post and the referee warns Strong. Strong with kick to the back and the referee warns Strong. Strong with a waist lock to work on the injured ribs and back. London with elbows. Each man goes for a cross body and both men are down.

London and Strong exchange forearms and Strong adds some chops. London with a kick to Strong and Strong misses a charge into the corner. London with a belly-to-back suplex followed by clotheslines. London lands on his feet on a back body drop and London with a drop kick for a near fall. Strong backs London into the corner and Strong with shoulders.

Strong runs into boots from London but Strong with a drop kick to stop a springboard move by London. Strong joins London on the apron for a belly-to-back suplex onto the apron but London goes into the ring and he hits a dropsault followed by a flip dive onto Strong.

London sends Strong into the ring and London with a springboard drop kick for a near fall. Strong backs London into the turnbuckles and Strong with an elbow. Strong pulls London off the turnbuckles and hits a back breaker for a near fall. Strong gets London on his shoulders and London with elbows and he gets on the turnbuckles. Strong with a chop and enzuigiri. Strong with a superplex for a near fall.

Strong puts London in the Stronghold but London counters with a rollup. London tries for a super kick but Strong catches London. Strong tries for a back breaker but London with a knee to the head. Strong with a forearm and then he gets London on his shoulders for Death by Roderick but London counters with a double stomp and London gets a near fall. Strong and London exchange forearms and then they add chops. London with forearms to the back. Strong misses a clothesline and London with a super kick followed by a front driver for a near fall.

London pulls Strong into the corner and London goes up top for the shooting star press but Strong goes to the apron. London tries for a double stomp on the apron but Strong gets to the floor before London can do any damage. Strong with a half nelson back breaker on the apron. Strong with Death By Roderick and the Sick Kick for a near fall.

Strong tries for the Gibson Driver but London counters with a near fall on a rollup. Strong with a jumping knee and a Gibson Driver but London kicks out. Strong puts London in the Stronghold. London gets to the ropes. London kicks Strong away and he goes to the apron. Strong and London kick each other. London with a head scissors and then he hits a tombstone piledriver on the floor. London rolls Strong into the ring and London with a double stomp to the back. London goes back up top for the shooting star press and he hits it and gets the three count.

ROH News and Notes

- Adam Cole will be cleared from his concussion in time for next weekend's ROH events. During his time off, he also had doctors look at a nagging elbow problem. 

- The Young Bucks, who just won the New Japan Juniors tag team tournament, will return to ROH on December 14 at Final Battle in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom. They will fight Adrenaline Rush.

- Zack Gowen is set to appear at the November 15 show in Dearborn, Michigan, as he will fight TV champion Matt Taven. Adam Cole will defend the ROH title against Jimmy Jacobs (from Dearborn). The card also includes Eddie Edwards vs Jay Lethal for the first time in ROH, Mark Briscoe vs. Michael Elgin, Roderick Strong vs. Davey Richards, Kyle O'Reilly vs. ACH vs. Caprice Coleman, Bobby Fish vs. TaDarius Thoams vs. Cedric Alexander, plus Outlaw Inc. (Eddie Kingston & Homicide), Silas Young, Tommaso Ciampa and more.

- Roderick Strong is now being called "Mr. ROH."

- Paul London will be back for a few appearances soon. 

Opinionated View- First I'm glade to hear Cole is is ok. Young Bucks coming back is awesome. But Gowen WTF? And London what a waste of money the guy phones in his wrestling appearances his days the guy was a top worker are long over. And I guess Mr ROH. means your the most boring and bland guy you can find.

10/5 ROH live event in Baltimore Results

1. Eddie Edwards defeated Adam Page. Edwards won with the Die Hard

2. Roderick Strong defeated Caprice Coleman, Tadarius Thomas and Antonio Thomas in a Four Corner Survival match. Strong won by forcing Thomas (not sure which one yet) tap to the strong hold.

3. Outlaw Inc. (Homicide & Eddie Kingston) defeated Ruckus and Blk Jeez. Kingston pinned Jeez in a suplex/bulldog type move

ROH Champion Adam Cole came out and cut a promo. He thanked Joe Koff for banning Jay Briscoe tonight. Roderick Strong came out and demanded a title shot. Cole told him to get in line. Cole reminded Strong that he beat him for the TV Title here in Baltimore and it took him half the time to win the World title. Strong said he made a call to Nigel earlier and he was getting his shot tonight. Strong chased Cole to the back.

4. Matt Taven defeated Cedric Alexander to retain the ROH TV Championship. Taven won with the climax. At one point during the match Taven, super-kicked Alexander into a Yoshi Tonic from Kasey Ray.

5. Kevin Steen defeated ACH. Steen won with the package piledriver (third one in the match). Post-match Steen said he’s going to destroy Cole in Cincinnati and prove he has the best piledriver in Chicago when he faces Michael Bennett. He said since Bennett and Cole both have matches later, we haven’t seen the last of him.

6. Mike Bennett defeated Jimmy Jacobs. Bennett won with the piledriver

7. reDRagon (Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish) defeated Jay Lethal and Michael Elgin to retain the ROH World Tag Team Championships. reDRagon won when they hit Chasing the Dragon on Lethal. Outlaw Inc were out watching. Kingston was eating pizza and Homicide had a reDRagon shirt on.

8. Adam Cole defeated Roderick Strong to retain the ROH World Championship in a No Count Out, No DQ match. Cole won via the Panama Destroyer. Steen was on commentary. Post-match, Steen got in the ring but Bennett attacked. Elgin evened the odds to close the show.
