X-Division Title Situation Causes Tension Between TNA and Wrestle-1
- As you know by now, Austin Aries won the X-Division title from Sanada at one of the recent sets of Impact tapings, which occurred on June 20th but aired on Spike on July 10th. In between, Senada was booked for a match in Japan against his mentor, the Great Muta. While the match was originally supposed to be advertised as an X-Division title match with Sanada getting a big win out of it, that didn't go down.
After Aries won the title, TNA told Wrestle-1 that Sanada could defend the title as it wouldn't be happening on US TV for several weeks. This is a normal situation for US wrestling, but not for Japan and Wrestle-1 received several upset calls and letter accusing them of false advertising. As a result, Wrestle-1 announced that Sanada had lost the title and Muta won the eventual match.
TNA was reportedly not pleased that Wrestle-1 "spoiled" the title change. Sanada is expected to stay with TNA throughout the year.

TNA EXPANDS RELATIONSHIP WITH WRESTLE-1: IMPACT WRESTLING SUPERSTARS TO HEADLINE MARCH SPECIAL EVENT IN JAPAN
NASHVILLE (January 30, 2014) – Building on the popularity of its programming internationally, TNA announced today it will send 11 of its Superstars to Japan for a special event with Wrestle-1, founded by the legendary Keiji Mutoh (The Great Muta), on March 2 at the Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Arena.
The event will feature matches pitting members of the TNA roster against Wrestle-1 talent. Cameras will capture all the action and the footage is scheduled to broadcast as a One Night Only Pay-Per-View (PPV) event later this year.
"The Japanese have an incomparable respect and appreciation for professional wrestling," said TNA Executive Vice President John Gaburick. "As TNA continues our global expansion, we are honored to partner with Mutoh and Wrestle-1 to give our fans an exceptional night of unparalleled entertainment. We envision a long and successful relationship with Wrestle-1, as we partner to deliver innovative live events and programming for our fans across the U.S., in Japan and around the world."
The TNA Superstars scheduled to appear on March 2 include World Heavyweight Champion Magnus, Bobby Roode, Samoa Joe, Gail Kim, Austin Aries, Abyss, Kaz and Daniels, Madison Rayne and the recently signed The Wolves, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards.
Additionally, Mutoh, along with Wrestle-1 star Seiya Sanada, will be in Miami March 8-9 for Lockdown, where they are scheduled to participate in Fan InterAction and the Pay-Per-View event.
IMPACT WRESTLING and TNA PPV events air in Japan on Nippon Television Network's channel G+.
Opinionated View- This is freaking awesome! This is what TNA needs to do be different. Although I do hope Muta doesn't wrestle on Lockdown given how old he is.

AJ Styles Heading to Japan
Disputed TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles has been confirmed for yet another title defense. This time, Styles faces Seya Sanada for Wrestle-1 on November 16 2013 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo Japan.
Judging by comments from Sanada, Muto and Jeff Jarrett, it is believed that Sanada will eventually make his way to TNA as one of the first Japanese talents from Wrestle-1 sent over to TNA.
Update: Wrestle-1 is so far calling this match a non-title match.
Opinionated View- I would assume the non title tag will be changed after makes his title defense in Mexico this weekend. I would love for TNA to represent this on TV maybe do a backstage segment with Dixie on the phone yelling into a phone "How dare you Muto son! He's not the world champion…"

Jeff Jarrett Heading to Japan
Jeff Jarrett returning to Japan next month as he's been announced for the 10/6 Wrestle-1 event in Tokyo.
The Great Muta promotion debuted earlier today. Several days ago, Muta stated that no TNA talents would be part of the debut event, which featured a slew of mystery competitors.

Update on TNA Work With Great Muta's New Company
Great Muta said in recent interviews in Japan that TNA will not be a part of the debut event of his Wrestle-1 promotion. He didn't provide any more details. He went to the US a few weeks ago and met with Jeff Jarrett about the two companies working together and sharing talent. As of right now, it isn't happening.
Opinionated View- Key is as of right now it could be any number of factors. And there is still a chance some type of crossover will happen down the line.

More on the Meeting Between TNA and The Great Muta
In an update on photos of Keiji Muto (aka The Great Muta) meeting with Jeff Jarrett at the TNA offices in Nashville this week, Dave Meltzer reports that Muto was trying to get talent like Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy and others to appear on his Wrestle-1 events in Japan. Muto reportedly is interested in featuring outside talent to create "dream matches" in Japan. Jarrett also reportedly expressed interest in bringing in more Japanese wrestlers to TNA.

On Tuesday afternoon, Japanese wrestling legend The Great Muta was at the TNA Offices in Nashville, Tennessee for a business meeting with TNA officials, including TNA founder Jeff Jarrett. The Great Muta, who runs Japan's WRESTLE-1 promotion under Gen Sports Entertainment, was in Nashville to discuss future opportunities between TNA and WRESTLE-1. ImpactWrestling.com will have more details on the meeting in the coming weeks!

Japanese Wrestling Legend in Talks with "Famous American Promotion"
Japanese wrestling legend The Great Muta is reportedly in talks with a "famous promotion" in order to trade talent with his new wrestling promotion in Tokyo, Wrestle-1. He recently left All-Japan Pro Wrestling and took much of the roster with him to start Wrestle-1. The promotion launched on July 10.
Muta (real name Keiji Mutoh) said the following in an interview with Tokyo Sports (translated rougly into English): "...a famous promotion overseas asked me to partner. I will be going there to talk."
It's likely that Mutoh is going to be meeting with Dixie Carter and TNA to trade talent. TNA currently has partnerships all over the world, including AAA in Mexico. There were previously talks with TNA and the former All-Japan President in 2007 that did not come to fruition.
Opinionated View- The Carter part is all speculation. Also you never know what to trust Muta could just be trying to get press.
