The interview conducted by Tenay with Jarrett is scheduled to be posted by Jarrett tonight on the Global Force Wrestling YouTube channel per a report by Dave Meltzer. Jarrett has not officially confirmed this as of this update.

Will TNA Induct Jeff Jarrett Into Hall of Fame This Year?

Wrestlezone reports that TNA will likely want to induct Jeff Jarrett into the TNA Hall of Fame this year. Their original plan was to bring back AJ Styles but Styles turned down the deal as he’s fine with working in ROH and NJPW.
Jarrett will be in the King of the Mountain match on Sunday, so the announcement would probably happen then. The actual ceremony would happen during Bound for Glory weekend later this year.

Well, stranger things have happened... Not a "done deal", but huge turnaround this morning... Definitely headed in the right direction...

 

– There has been a lot of speculation on what the news could be, and with TV tapings already scheduled; many feel that it could be a TV deal for the promotion. More on the story as it develops.

 

Opinionated View- It took Jarrett months of teasing to officially announce a company. It than took about  a year to hold a shows or announce talent. So odds are it will be Christmas before what ever Jarrett is teasing is announced.

Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling To Begin Roster Reveal With Press Conference On Wednesday

Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling will be hosting a press conference at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas this Wednesday at 1pm EST to begin their roster reveal.GFW is teasing a special guest to help with the reveal. They tweeted the following:

Global Force News and Notes

There will be a lot of details announced for the July 24th TV tapings this week.
– Jim Cornette announced on his podcast this week that he will be taking part in the June 12th and 13th Global Force Wrestling “Grand Slam Tour” events in Jackson and Knoxville, Tennessee.
– Tonight, Jeff Jarrett will be throwing out the first pitch at the Mississippi Braves Minor-League Baseball Game. GFW will run that venue on June 20th.
– On Saturday, Jarrett will be in Jackson, Tennessee at the Jackson Generals game.

Eric Bischoff Will Be Part Of Global Force Wrestling

During a Q&A session with Jeff Jarrett for Preston City Wrestling, Eric Bischoff revealed that he will be working with Global Force Wrestling. When Karen Jarrett asked if he would be involved, both Bischoff and Jeff Jarrett confirmed he would. They added that they are in the “early stages” of launching GFW. The first TV tapings will happen on July 24 from Las Vegas, Nevada.

Opinionated View- I say this is a good move. Bischoff is very smart and knows the wreslting business also he doesn't seem to fit the mold of old bitter booker. Plus I was legit worried they would hire someone like Cornette.

Jeff Jarrett Contacting Talent For First Global Force Taping

Jeff Jarrett has started the process of contacting talent to appear at the upcoming Global Force Wrestling TV tapings in Las Vegas starting in July. Jarrett confirmed in an interview last week that he was in talks with at least three networks regarding a television deal. According to a report by Dave Meltzer, of the talent being contacted for the tapings, Jarrett is reportedly offering better money offers than Ring of Honor.

Global Force Heading to Vegas

Jeff Jarrett announced that Global Force Wrestling "is coming to Las Vegas." He included a ten-second hype video that noted they will be in Las Vegas "this summer."

Jeff Jarrett And GFW Headed To South Africa

World Wrestling Professionals (WWP) in South Africa had a press conference at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth to announce a partnership with Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling. This will result in “WrestleMonster” on February 28. Jarrett wasn’t at the conference and sent a video promo talking about how important the South African market was to GFW. He said he would work the Stadium show and other WWP events. He also teased signing South African wrestlers to GFW.
Other talent announced include Joe E. Legend (Just Joe), British star Erin Angel as well as local talents Tornado, Ananzi, Mr Wrestling, “Kwaito Kid” Zama Njokweni, Nigeria’s Kilimanjaro and India’s Sangram Singh. The only match so far is Legend vs Singh for the vacant WWP Commonwealth Championship.

It was revealed that 50% of the gate would go to “wrestling development” with the idea of building a wrestling school in Port Elizabeth with Zama Njokweni training.

Opinionated View- GWF zero steps towards actually starting the company but some how people keep putting our name on stuff.

Update on 1/4 New Japan Show/Global Force PPV

On Jim Ross's podcast earlier today with Global Force Wrestling founder Jeff Jarrett on PodcastOne.com, Jarrett confirmed earlier reports that former WWE & current Lucha Underground commentator Matt Striker will join WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross on commentary for the New Japan Wrestlekingdom 9 PPV on January 4 at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.

Toru Yano and 3 mystery partners vs. Lance Archer, Davey Boy Smith Jr., Takashi Iizuka and Shelton Benjamin has been added to the New Japan Wrestlekingdom 9 PPV on January 4 at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. Originally, the match was slated to be Yano and a mystery partner against 2 members of Suzuki-Gun, before being changed earlier this week to the 8-Man Tag.

MMA Star May Call Wrestle Kingdom 9

 Jeff Jarrett has been speaking with recently retired MMA fighter Chael Sonnen about calling NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 9 PPV with Jim Ross. Sonnen thinks it was a “courtesy call” from someone who didn’t know his work. Ross has said that Jarrett will make the final call on who calls the event but Ross will get some input. Jarrett and Ross were leaning towards Mike Tenay at one point, depending on his status with TNA. There have also been rumors that Kevin Kelly would call the event, but ROH has TV tapings that week so it’s not likely.

Opinionated View- So we have Ross who hasn't been good in many years and Sonnen a guy that has never called pro wrestling before. Ah still better than Kelly and Corino

Global Force Wrestling To Make Announcements Next Month?

Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling may finally be making announcements over the next three to four weeks. This will include the first talents signed to GFW and the market that will hold their first events.

One announcement will be the New Japan Pro Wrestling PPV on January 4, 2015. GFW is also working on deals for other PPV events to be distributed in the US. Toby Keith’s involvement with the promotion may also be a part of the announcements.

There has been no news on a GFW TV deal. When asked about it, Jarrett said: “When I am ready to talk, you will know.”

Opinionated View- As I have said I think it's a mistake to do the New Japan PPV when Global so far has just been some idea on paper. Actually announcing talent and where you are holding events would be much needed first couple of steps.

Update on Jeff Jarrett’s Meeting With ROH

According to The Wrestling Observer (via via WrestleZone), here is the latest on Jeff Jarrett’s meeting with ROH CEO Joe Koff. The meeting was primarily for the two sides to personally meet and discuss the upcoming New Japan Pro Wrestling Tokyo Dome show in January.

At this time, the plan is for Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling brand to partner with New Japan to bring the show to traditional PPV in the US. ROH talent contracts do not allow their talents to work on competing PPVs, and while ROH stars have worked NJPW, the PPV would technically be a competing PPV. This had to be ironed out by the two sides. Also, there is talk that Jarrett is looking to get ROH to advertise the dome show on their TV during the final weeks heading into the event.

Update on Potential TV Taping Home For Global Force Wrestling

 Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling is still looking for potential TV partners. As far as where they will possibly tape TV once they get a distribution deal, Global Force Wrestling is reportedly in talks with three different Las Vegas venues. These venues would partner with them to host potential live events and TV tapings.

Opinionated View- Wow Jarrett finally took an actual step toward actually doing a show. He's not just hanging around posting videos or talking to other companies that are already running.

Jeff Jarrett Has Meeting With ROH Management

Jeff Jarrett was in Baltimore yesterday, and had a meeting with ROH President Joe Koff. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the meeting was in regards to the New Japan WrestleKingdom event on January 4th at the Tokyo Dome. It had been expected that ROH talent would appear on the show, and the meeting was to clear up any issues that there may be with those appearances. ROH talent are not allowed to appear on competing PPV, which is what the New Japan show would be when it airs in the US on PPV. Meltzer also mentions that Jarrett may have been negotiating for ROH to advertise the WrestleKingdom PPV on their TV.

Opinionated View- What's hilarious is I have already seen ROH bots the people that for years ripped Jarrett falling over themselves to praise Jarrett. One moron even declared "Everyone in TNA is more loyal to Jarrett so this could lead to them coming to ROH." First Jarrett is supposed to be starting his own company so if he can get guys to jump from TNA it would be to GFW.

GFW Could Distribute All New Japan Pro Wrestling PPVs in The US

According to Pwinsider.com, here is the latest on the relationship between Global Force Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling. As previously announced, GFW will distribute NJPW’s January 4th Wrestle Kingdom event on US PPV. That show will air live, and then again in the traditional 8PM ET PPV timeslot.

At this time, negotiations between GFW and NJPW/TV-Asahi are in the final stages. Word is that a deal could be made that would see the GFW distribute all of the NJPW PPV events in the United States. NJPW had been airing worldwide on iPPV via Ustream, which ended at the end of September.

Opinionated View- Just throwing a bunch of New Japan PPV's on TV won't' do anything. I stand by my feelings Jeff needs to get Global Force going and than worry about building something with New Japan.

Jeff Jarrett Returning to New Japan

JEFF JARRETT TO RETURN TO NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING FOR OCT. 13’S “KING OF PRO-WRESTLING” EVENT IN TOKYO

NASHVILLE – Jeff Jarrett, whose visit to New Japan Pro Wrestling ostensibly to sign a partnership between that promotion and the Jarrett-helmed Global Force Wrestling at the G1 Climax event only to see the legendary wrestler/promoter join the “Bullet Club,” will make his return to NJPW for “King of Pro-Wrestling” on Oct. 13,

Jarrett appeared at the G1 show at the Seibu Dome in August at the invitation of Naoki Sugabayashi, chairman of the board of NJPW. After signing the agreement to exchange talent and co-promote some major events, Jarrett appeared later during the event after a match between IWGP heavyweight champion A.J. Styles and Tanahashi. With Styles and the rest of the Bullet Club administering a post-match beatdown to the Japanese star, Jarrett looked as though he was breaking up the melee. But, he pulled out a guitar with the words “Bullet Club” on the back and proceeded to smash it over Tanahashi’s head and reveal his allegiance to the hottest faction in pro wrestling.

“It was a business trip, and I took care of a lot of business,” Jarrett said. “Not only did I seal a deal for Global Force Wrestling with the hottest promotion in the Eastern Hemisphere, but I aligned with the biggest thing going in this business.

“It’s important for GFW fans to see us get involved with the best talent in the world. The Bullet Club certainly qualifies, and I’m looking forward to what we have in store for The King of Pro-Wrestling show.”

Styles will defend the IWGP title against Tanahashi in the main event. The rest of the Bullet Club will be in action as well, including IWGP tag team champions Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows.

GFW announced its partnership with NJPW on June 23, and plans already are in the works for the first co-promoted event.
