Global Force To Annouce TV Taping?

Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling is expected to announce TV tapings for Las Vegas soon. One source said tapings will happen in the first week of May while another said they’ll happen in July.

Opinionated View-  Instead of Global they should call it Soon. Because that is the answer to any question about this company

When will they announce live events? Soon
When they announce a TV Deal? Soon
When will they announce talent? Soon

Problem is it's been over a year since Jarrett left TNA and nearly a year since GFW was announced. And this show is still just a concept.

Jim Ross to call the NJPW Wrestlekingdom 9 PPV

Global Force Wrestling issued the following press release today:
JIM ROSS SIGNS ON TO CALL GLOBAL FORCE WRESTLING'S PRESENTATION OF NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING'S "WRESTLE KINGDOM 9" ON JAN. 4
NASHVILLE — Jim Ross, the preeminent voice of professional wrestling for the past four decades, has agreed to provide the play-by-play for Global Force Wrestling's presentation of New Japan Pro Wrestling's "Wrestle Kingdom 9" live on pay per view in North America on Jan. 4, 2015.
The Hall of Famer has called more pro wrestling PPV events than any broadcaster and is regarded as the greatest, play-by-play announcer in wrestling history. He will be returning to the mic at one of the biggest events in the world. This is the 24th year of NJPW's annual extravaganza at the Tokyo Dome, where more than 40,000 fans from are expected to attend.
"I am truly honored and excited to have been asked to be a part of this historic event," Ross said. "To be able to return to my roots and to provide play by play for an amazing, pro wrestling product will be special. I never thought I'd ever return to ringside for a wrestling event but this opportunity was just too special to turn down."
GFW founder and CEO Jeff Jarrett said he had been working on lining up Ross for weeks.
"When you think of the great events in wrestling over the past 30 years one of the things they have in common is the man behind the microphone. And that man is Jim Ross," Jarrett said. "I'm excited for this event, and I'm excited for good ol' JR to be a part of it. GFW fans wanted him, and from day one we have said we're going to give our fans what they want."
The show, which will air live at 2 a.m. ET (11 p.m. PT) and re-air in prime time at 7 p.m. ET (4 PT) is available on DirecTV, Dish, AT&T U-verse, Comcast, Verizon Fios and all cable systems in the United States, and in Canada on Bell ExpressVu TV, Rogers, Shaw, Sasktel and Telus. Check your local listings for availability. The show also will be available on the "Flipps" app on iTunes and Android.
This year's card is headlined by an IWGP heavyweight title match between Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada. The Bullet Club, of which Jarrett is a member along with AJ Styles and IWGP tag team champions Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows, will appear as well.
The show will be available in English and in Japanese via the second audio program (SAP) button on your TV.

Dumb move Ross hasn't been a good announcer in years. And he has enough trouble with american names. Although it will be funny to see how much he messes up names.

Global Force Wrestling To Make Announcements Next Month?

Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling may finally be making announcements over the next three to four weeks. This will include the first talents signed to GFW and the market that will hold their first events.
One announcement will be the New Japan Pro Wrestling PPV on January 4, 2015. GFW is also working on deals for other PPV events to be distributed in the US. Toby Keith’s involvement with the promotion may also be a part of the announcements.
There has been no news on a GFW TV deal. When asked about it, Jarrett said: “When I am ready to talk, you will know.
Opinionated View- As I have said I think it's a mistake to do the New Japan PPV when Global so far has just been some idea on paper. Actually announcing talent and where you are holding events would be much needed first couple of steps.

Update on Jeff Jarrett’s Meeting With ROH

According to The Wrestling Observer (via via WrestleZone), here is the latest on Jeff Jarrett’s meeting with ROH CEO Joe Koff. The meeting was primarily for the two sides to personally meet and discuss the upcoming New Japan Pro Wrestling Tokyo Dome show in January.
At this time, the plan is for Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling brand to partner with New Japan to bring the show to traditional PPV in the US. ROH talent contracts do not allow their talents to work on competing PPVs, and while ROH stars have worked NJPW, the PPV would technically be a competing PPV. This had to be ironed out by the two sides. Also, there is talk that Jarrett is looking to get ROH to advertise the dome show on their TV during the final weeks heading into the event.

Update on Potential TV Taping Home For Global Force Wrestling

Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling is still looking for potential TV partners. As far as where they will possibly tape TV once they get a distribution deal, Global Force Wrestling is reportedly in talks with three different Las Vegas venues. These venues would partner with them to host potential live events and TV tapings.

Opinionated View- Wow Jarrett finally took an actual step toward actually doing a show. He's not just hanging around posting videos or talking to other companies that are already running.

Jeff Jarrett Has Meeting With ROH Management

Jeff Jarrett was in Baltimore yesterday, and had a meeting with ROH President Joe Koff. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the meeting was in regards to the New Japan WrestleKingdom event on January 4th at the Tokyo Dome. It had been expected that ROH talent would appear on the show, and the meeting was to clear up any issues that there may be with those appearances. ROH talent are not allowed to appear on competing PPV, which is what the New Japan show would be when it airs in the US on PPV. Meltzer also mentions that Jarrett may have been negotiating for ROH to advertise the WrestleKingdom PPV on their TV.

Opinionated View- What's hilarious is I have already seen ROH bots the people that for years ripped Jarrett falling over themselves to praise Jarrett. One moron even declared "Everyone in TNA is more loyal to Jarrett so this could lead to them coming to ROH." First Jarrett is supposed to be starting his own company so if he can get guys to jump from TNA it would be to GFW.

GFW Could Distribute All New Japan Pro Wrestling PPVs in The US

According to Pwinsider.com, here is the latest on the relationship between Global Force Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling. As previously announced, GFW will distribute NJPW’s January 4th Wrestle Kingdom event on US PPV. That show will air live, and then again in the traditional 8PM ET PPV timeslot.
At this time, negotiations between GFW and NJPW/TV-Asahi are in the final stages. Word is that a deal could be made that would see the GFW distribute all of the NJPW PPV events in the United States. NJPW had been airing worldwide on iPPV via Ustream, which ended at the end of September.
Opinionated View- Just throwing a bunch of New Japan PPV's on TV won't' do anything. I stand by my feelings Jeff needs to get Global Force going and than worry about building something with New Japan.

Update on GFW Promoting The NJPW WrestleKingdom Show on US PPV

Global Force Wrestling’s first ever event will be producing New Japan Pro Wrestling’s WrestleKingdom event on traditional US PPV. The show takes place on January 4th, and is being listed by PPV providers as, GFW Presents New Japan’s WrestleKingdom. At this time, the plan is to show the PPV live (likely around 3AM ET), and then air it later that day in the traditional Sunday night PPV time slot.

Opinionated View- This just doesn't seem like a good idea. Global Force should be worried getting a roster, a TV deal, not another companies US PPV debut. And speaking of not having a TV deal how are you going to promote this in the US? Compare this to TNA's  Bound for Glory. Yes the show will air on tape delay but TNA has a weekly TV deal with ads for the PPV, the BFG card will feaure guys like Team 3D and James Storm who are on TV every week and guys like Muta, Sanada, and Tajiri have appeared on TV.  New Japan has talent US fans might know but with no TV deal who are more causal fans going to find out?

Jeff Jarrett Returning to New Japan

The following was issued by Global Force Wrestling.
JEFF JARRETT TO RETURN TO NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING FOR OCT. 13’S “KING OF PRO-WRESTLING” EVENT IN TOKYO
NASHVILLE – Jeff Jarrett, whose visit to New Japan Pro Wrestling ostensibly to sign a partnership between that promotion and the Jarrett-helmed Global Force Wrestling at the G1 Climax event only to see the legendary wrestler/promoter join the “Bullet Club,” will make his return to NJPW for “King of Pro-Wrestling” on Oct. 13,
Jarrett appeared at the G1 show at the Seibu Dome in August at the invitation of Naoki Sugabayashi, chairman of the board of NJPW. After signing the agreement to exchange talent and co-promote some major events, Jarrett appeared later during the event after a match between IWGP heavyweight champion A.J. Styles and Tanahashi. With Styles and the rest of the Bullet Club administering a post-match beatdown to the Japanese star, Jarrett looked as though he was breaking up the melee. But, he pulled out a guitar with the words “Bullet Club” on the back and proceeded to smash it over Tanahashi’s head and reveal his allegiance to the hottest faction in pro wrestling.
“It was a business trip, and I took care of a lot of business,” Jarrett said. “Not only did I seal a deal for Global Force Wrestling with the hottest promotion in the Eastern Hemisphere, but I aligned with the biggest thing going in this business.
“It’s important for GFW fans to see us get involved with the best talent in the world. The Bullet Club certainly qualifies, and I’m looking forward to what we have in store for The King of Pro-Wrestling show.”
Styles will defend the IWGP title against Tanahashi in the main event. The rest of the Bullet Club will be in action as well, including IWGP tag team champions Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows.
GFW announced its partnership with NJPW on June 23, and plans already are in the works for the first co-promoted event.

Does Global Force Have a PPV Date Set?

TNA founder Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling is said to have a PPV listed on multiple carriers' schedules for January 4, 2015 according to a report by Mike Johnson. Jarrett announced Global Force Wrestling the day after WrestleMania 30 back in April after departing TNA while still remaining on as a quiet minority owner. Jarrett recently made an appearance for New Japan Pro Wrestling back in August at the G1 Climax Finals revealing himself to be a member of the top heel stable, the Bullet Club.
New Japan Pro Wrestling will present its annual WrestleKingdom show at the Tokyo Dome on 1/4. It would appear that Jarrett's deal with PPV carriers is to bring the NJPW WrestleKingdom 9 Tokyo Dome show to PPV in the United States for the first time ever, but nothing has been made official at this time. Jarrett declined to comment when asked about this deal earlier today.
Opinionated View- Joker Laugh or Picard Face palm? Both feel like they would fit but I'm going to cue the Joker Laugh
To be fair this is just a report so we need to not over react but for God's sake I hope Jarrett isn't worried about PPV's yet. He still hasn't announced anyone on the roster. We have heard jack squat about TV deal. I guess maybe he could be doing weekly PPV's like TNA did early on.

Update on Global Force Wrestling’s TV Deal Negotiations

Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling has been negotiating for a TV deal. The promotion was hopeful to have a TV deal locked in by now, but things are said to be moving slower than officials had hoped for. Jeff Jarrett is scheduled to go to New York, Dallas and Los Angeles in September to scout buildings for potential TV tapings. Overall it is said that the full launch of the promotion has gone much slower than company officials had hoped.

Opinionated View- Meanwhile Jarrett keeps making deal with other companies around the world. I do have to wonder if the TNA TV situation is affecting GFW. If your a TV network interested in having a wrestling show witch would you take TNA the show that usually gets over a million viewers, has been doing TV for years, has full roster. Or Global that has Jarrett and Mrs. Jarrett the company that has never ran a single show?

Global Forces Another Deal With Company in Africa

- Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling announced the following today on Twitter…

GFW announces another Global partner, World Wrestling Professionals in Africa. @WWPOnline http://GlobalForceWrestling.com/wwp

Opinionated View- I still don't think Global Force will ever truly start. Instead of announcing deal with some random indy in Africa how about a tv deal, a single wrestler that you have singed, or a start date?

New Update on Global Force Wrestling’s TV Negotiations

Here are the latest details on the TV negotiations for Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling. The GFW is reportedly negotiating with two different cable networks, one of which has never aired pro wrestling before. The current plan once they get a TV deal is to debut the promotion in a documentary style show (focusing on the building of the company), which would lead to the official debut of the in ring product.

Opinionated View- Let's see if they actually get a TV deal. Right now we keep hearing about plans but nothing solid has been announced.

Update on Global Force Wrestling

For those who have asked about what the status is of Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling project, two different sources working on GFW stated this week that the company is in "the middle of television negotiations" but would not specify any additional details.

One source also noted that reports floating around that country singer Toby Keith is not actually involved with GFW would be "incorrect."

At one point, it appears there were plans to use a six-sided ring, which makes sense as that was a Jeff Jarrett idea in TNA and something he brought back when TNA filmed different pilot projects later on.

Opinionated View- More and more I have doubts this company will ever officially start. I've been told by some who claims to be a representative of the Jarrett's that Keith is still there. But honestly until I hear a report from Keith or even something like Toby appearing in one of Jarrett's videos I'm not sure if I buy it.

Toby Keith Pull Out of Jeff Jarrett's GFW

Singer Toby Keith is no longer believed to have any involvement in the funding of Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestlingpromotion, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The report notes that when the idea for a new promotion started, Toby Keith was said to have been the primary backer after Keith & Jeff Jarrett pulled out of their negotiations to buy TNA Wrestling, however Jarrett has a backer for Global Force Wrestling through someone connected with race car driver Hermie Sadler.
Opinionated View- Well even with a backer in place this doesn't sound good. Not saying it will kill GFW before it starts but having the name back pull out can't be good.

Details on New Japan and Global Force Deal

The following press release was issued today:
GFW REACHES AGREEMENT WITH NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING
NASHVILLE – Global Force Wrestling has reached a partnership agreement with New Japan Pro Wrestling, the top wrestling promotion in the Eastern Hemisphere.
The companies will exchange talent for events in both the United States and Japan. NJPW originated in 1972 under the auspices of Japanese wrestling legend Antonio Inoki. It's a globally recognized brand in the world of wrestling, and its attendance annually ranks among the best.
"New Japan Pro Wrestling is excited to align with Jeff Jarrett and his vision for Global Force Wrestling," said Naoki Sugabayashi, NJPW chairman of the board. "Our brand is well known in many parts of the world, and this is an opportunity for us not only to expand it but to bring our fans the very best in wrestling talent from the West."
Jarrett, the founder and CEO of GFW, is pleased to add this partnership to one already announced with top Mexican promotion AAA.
"What NJPW has done in the past 40 years speaks for itself," Jarrett said. "Several top American stars have appeared there through the years, including current IWGP heavyweight champion AJ Styles.
"To be able to share our talent in Japan is exciting, and to bring the top Japanese stars here will expose our fan base to another exciting style and terrific brand, just like AAA. Global Force Wrestling will do everything possible to put the best possible talent in front of its rabid fans."
GFW announced its partnership with AAA on April 29.

New Japan to Work With Jeff Jarrett's GFW

New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that they will be working with Jeff Jarrett's new Global Force Wrestling promotion soon. Jarrett is booked to appear at an upcoming New Japan event on 8/10 at the 33,000-seat Seibu Dome in Saitama, Japan along with ROH stars Adam Cole, Mike Bennett, Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish and Maria Kanellis. This will be the first pro wrestling event held inside the facility in Japan. No word on how this new partnership with Jarrett's GFW will affect Ring of Honor's current relationship with New Japan.

Opinionated View- I could be wrong but it can't be a good sign for the ROH deal. I really don't know how much having a deal with New Japan would help either company. They didn't do a whole lot with TNA who they had a deal with for years.
