WWE Still Talking With Chael Sonnen About WrestleMania Invitation?

- As reported earliler, WWE has denied that Chael Sonnen was invited to attend this year’s WrestleMania. Sonnen said on TSN’s Off the Record that he and Wanderlei Silva had been invited to the Hall of Fame ceremony and suggested a conversation may be taking place there.
According to the Wrestling Observer, the meeting is not a formal one but is still expected to happen. There’s no confirmation regarding Wanderlei Silva.
The site separately claimed that WWE has wanted to work with Sonnen for quite some time but that they backed off after he tested positive for PEDs. Once ESPN began working with Sonnen again, it was believed the heat was off him enough that WWE was expected to begin talking with him again.

Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva Reportedly Invited to WrestleMania

During this week’s Off the Record, Chael Sonnen says that he and Wanderlei Silva have been invited by WWE to attend the Hall Of Fame ceremony at WrestleMania 31.

Sonnen said, “I got a call from WWE. They said, ‘Look, we have a Hall of Fame show in March. If you want to come out, we want to talk to you about some stuff.’ They laid out at that.”

He continued, “If they are buying me a plane ticket and they’re giving me a ticket to the show, I do enjoy that product. I don’t know what we are talking about, but I’ll give you a little bit of a scoop: Wanderlei Silva was also invited. I don’t know if he’s accepted and I don’t know if the two are related, but there you go.”

Opinionated View- You gotta be careful with Chael. I am a MMA fan but I have no interest in having Chael and Wandy at Mania.

MMA Star May Call Wrestle Kingdom 9

 Jeff Jarrett has been speaking with recently retired MMA fighter Chael Sonnen about calling NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 9 PPV with Jim Ross. Sonnen thinks it was a “courtesy call” from someone who didn’t know his work. Ross has said that Jarrett will make the final call on who calls the event but Ross will get some input. Jarrett and Ross were leaning towards Mike Tenay at one point, depending on his status with TNA. There have also been rumors that Kevin Kelly would call the event, but ROH has TV tapings that week so it’s not likely.

Opinionated View- So we have Ross who hasn't been good in many years and Sonnen a guy that has never called pro wrestling before. Ah still better than Kelly and Corino
