8/29 Impact Wrestling Results

Live from the Cleveland Impact Wrestling heads down the homestretch toward the finals of the BFG Series. Impact opens up with highlights from last week and then Bully Ray leads Tito Ortiz and the Aces and Eights down to the ring.

Bully says that he’s in a bad mood tonight because someone is missing in the ring right now. His brother Devon is no longer with them and he’s a little concerned and upset. Bully says he wants some answers right now and he would like to hear from his brothers. Bully asks Garett Bischoff what happened last week and he says he doesn’t know. Garett says he’s just as mad about this as Bully is and then Knux says he was taking care of both Magnus and Rampage on the floor when it went down.

Wes says he doesn’t know what happened and then Bully looks over at Mr. Anderson and asks him what happened. Anderson says he doesn’t know either but Devon knew what the consequences were just like the rest of them, and “it is what it is.” Bully agrees with Anderson and says what it is, is a disappointment. Bully says his brother has always been a disappointment and a loser. He says Devon has always been his sidekick from the beginning. He says Devon did what he told him to do and he never needed Devon nor will he ever need him in the future. Bully points at Tito and says that’s the only man he needs. Anderson doesn’t look too thrilled at that. Bully says “out with Devon, in with Tito.” Bully says he’s giving Tito is own cut and Anderson freaks out.

Anderson asks Bully if he’s out of his mind and asks when they started just patching people in whenever he feels like it. Bully tells him to back down and reminds him that he’s the president. Bully says he’ll do what he wants, when he wants and Anderson better remember that. He tells Anderson to get back in line before he has to PUT him back in line. Bully calls Brooke Tessmacher out to the ring and she obliges as Bully calls her “the hot Brooke.”

Tessmacher is carrying a A&8 cut to the ring with her. Bully offers the cut to Tito but Anderson gets in Bully’s face and tells him they have to vote. Bully backs Anderson down and tells him to “stay.” Bully then puts the cut on Tito’s back and then Bully strips the “Devon” patch off the cut and throws it down. Bully tells any of the members of A&8 if that they have a problem with what just happened then they can leave. He says he’s the president and he voted on it so it’s done. Bully says now he’s going to sit back and relax and watch the rest of the BFG Series because he doesn’t have to do anything until BFG.

Bully says he heard that his father-in-law is here tonight and he can’t wait to see Hulk tonight because what he wants to do is introduce him to the only Brooke that has ever mattered in his life.

Tenay and Taz hype up the card for tonight featuring several BFG Series bouts.

Backstage Jeff Hardy says last year he had to beat Samoa Joe to get to the Final Four, and to get there he got desperate and had to use a submission. He said he worked and now he has to face Kazarian to try and get to the final four. He reminds us that Kaz won the Ladder Match that Hardy was also involved in at Hardcore Justice and he says tonight he’s out for points and revenge.

BFG Series Match 
“The Charismatic Enigma” (24) vs. Kazarian (22)

Both Kaz and Hardy really need a submission (10 points) here to get a true shot of making the Final Four. A pin would put both right there in the Final Four but definitely want guarantee anything. Kaz quickly rolls Hardy up as the bell rings but gets just a one count. Hardy then catches Kaz with a small package for a one count. Kaz comes back with a rollup of his own but just a two count on that one. Hardy answers with a leg sweep for a nearfall. Kaz and Hardy stare each other down and square off again. As Hardy goes in for a lockup Kaz pops him with a forearm instead. Kaz whips Hardy into the corner but Hardy floats up into a Spinning Headscissors Takeover sending Kaz out to the floor! Hardy then hits a Slingshot Dropkick through the ropes followed by a Flying Clothesline off the apron to the outside! Hardy tosses Kaz back in the ring and then goes for the Twist, but Kaz blocks it and shoves Hardy into the corner again. Hardy goes to the well for a second attempting to the Floatover Headscissors, but this time Kaz blocks it and crotches Hardy on the ropes. Kaz then hits a Leaping Enziguri and mocks Hardy’s weirdo dance. Kaz hits Hardy repeatedly with right hands and then whips Hardy into the ropes. Kaz hits a Heel Kick and gets another nearfall. Kaz puts Hardy in a modified Surfboard but Hardy fights the hold and breaks it. Hardy elbows Kaz repeatedly but then Kaz grabs him by the hair and slams him to the mat. Kaz puts the boots to Hardy and then hits a Leg Drop for another nearfall. Kaz goes for a Vertical Suplex but Hardy blocks it and reverses it into a Sitout Front Suplex! Hardy hits a series of right hands and kicks and then hits the ropes and catches Kaz with a Flying Forearm! Hardy hits an Atomic Drop followed by a Leg Drop to the balls. Hardy then puts Kaz in a Figure Four in the center of the ring! Kaz tries to fight the hold and is able to get to the ropes to break the hold. Hardy goes for the Twist again but Kaz catches Hardy in a backslide out of nowhere! 1…2…NO Hardy kicks out and then runs right into a Bicycle Kick! 1…2…NO Hardy kicks out again! Kaz is selling the leg as he gets to his feet as if it’s hurting. Kaz attempts to whip Hardy into the corner but Hardy reverses it and charges at Kaz. Kaz gets his boot up and then climbs up top. Kaz dives off the top but Hardy catches him with a boot in midair! Hardy hits the Twist of Fate and then climbs up top! Hardy hits the Swanton Bomb! 1…2…3!

Winner: Hardy via pinfall (Swanton Bomb)

Jeff Hardy has officially moved into the Final Four, for the time being.

Anderson and the rest of A&8 bitch about what Bully just did with Tito. Anderson says if this keeps up then they’re going to have to make a vote that Bully won’t be happy about. He says no one man is bigger than the club.

Knockouts #1 Contenders 2/3 Falls Match
Gail Kim vs. ODB

ODB and Gail lockup with Gail tripping ODB up, Gail rolls forward into a bridging pin for a nearfall. Gail then goes for a rollup but ODB blocks it and hits a shoulder block for a nearfall of her own. ODB whips Gail into a corner and charges at her, but Gail escapes through the ropes. Gail then hits a shoulder block through the ropes on ODB followed by a Slingshot Sunset Flip. ODB blocks it and then lifts Gail up in the air by her throat. ODB tosses Gail into the turnbuckles and then hits a Delayed Vertical Suplex for another nearfall. ODB attempts to whip Gail into the corner but Gail reverses it and charges at ODB. ODB floats up into a headscissors on Gail but Gail blocks it the takeover attempt and slams ODB knee first into the mat. Gail smiles realizing the knee injury and quickly puts the boots to ODB’s knee. Gail looks for some type of submission but ODB uses her free leg to kick Gail into the turnbuckles! ODB rolsl Gail up, 1…2…NO Gail kicks out! Gail then grabs ODB’s leg and trips her and slams Gail’s knee into the mat. Gail elbow drops the knee and then drags her leg out to the apron and slams it into the side of the ring. Gail climbs back in the ring and kicks the leg of ODB as she tried to comeback. Gail puts ODB in a modified Cloverleaf and sits back on the hold forcing ODB to tap! Gail wins fall one!

Back from the break Gail continues to work on ODB’s leg. She hangs it up in the ropes and cannonballs down across it. Gail taunts the crowd and then charges at ODB in the corner. ODB gets her foot up but Gail catches it and slams it down across her own shoulder. Gail then goes to put that same modified Cloverleaf on ODB but ODB catches her with an inside cradle out of nowhere! 1…2…3! ODB evens things up winning fall two!

Gail gets pissed and starts kicking the hell out of ODB’s leg and then she puts ODB in a kneebar. Gail slams ODB’s leg into the mat and then drags her legs over to the corner. Gail wraps ODB’s legs around the ring post in the Hanging Figure Four! Gail finally releases the hold as the referee yells at her and climbs back in the ring. A big “ODB” chant starts as Gail stalks ODB in the ring. Gail slaps her repeatedly and taunts her. Gail grabs ODB’s leg but ODB grabs her top and pulls Gail into the turnbuckle headfirst. ODB fights back from her knees with forearms to Gail. ODB finally gets back to her feet and levels Gail with a Shortarm Clothesline! 1…2…NO Gail kicks out! ODB goes for the BAM but her knee gives out and Gail chop blocks the knee and locks her in an over the shoulder Half Crab. ODB is able to fight to the ropes to break the hold. Gail goes for the Eat Defeat but ODB blocks it into the BAM attempt again. Gail reverses into a rollup but ODB rolls through and puts Gail in a Texas Cloverleaf! Gail almost gets to the ropes but ODB pulls her back to the center of the ring and Gail taps!

Winner & NEW Knockouts #1 Contender: ODB 2 falls to 1

Backstage Velvet Sky says she’s rooting for ODB in her title shot, and she talks about being so excited for the Knockouts PPV debuting next Friday. Velvet says she had some personal issues at home she had to take care of and creepy camera guy if those issues were “like heartbreak Chris Sabin type of issues.” Velvet says she and Sabin have been together for quite awhile, but they keep business and personal separate.

Backstage Daniels and Roode talk about Hogan trying to screw them over tonight putting them in their matches. Roode says he has an opportunity to solidify his attempt to be in the Final Four with a win over “everyone’s little hero” AJ Styles. Roode says he’ll take care of AJ but Daniels has to take care of Aries. Daniels gets pissed about Aries turning on them last week and he says, “he’s no gentleman.”

Backstage Aries says everyone knows that he is a man that stands alone and he believes that if you want something done right you do it yourself. Aries reminds us he turned MEM down too and he says he’s relying on himself to get to the final four. Aries says he hopes AJ’s decision to help MEM out benefits him and he hopes AJ gets to the finals because when he and AJ are in the ring together it’s magic. Daniels walks up and gets in Aries’ face.

Daniels says he made his biggest mistake by turning down the “Gentlemen” and he’s going to show Aries just how much better he is than Aries when he knocks Aries “down flatter than Miley Cyrus’ ass” (BIG POP FROM ME!).

The Main Event Mafia make their way down to the ring. Magnus isn’t with MEM. Rampage Jackson is still wearing his redneck looking camo suit. Rampage says he isn’t waiting for their fight in BELLATOR to get his revenge on Tito. He says every chance he gets he’s stomping a mudhole in Tito’s ass.

Samoa Joe says he can tell that the Mafia runs Cleveland. He says a week ago things weren’t going their way and outnumbered, and when Sting went to the boys no one stepped up. He says that is until one man stepped up to the plate and did the right thing, AJ Styles.

Sting says AJ Styles put his career on the line to go into battle with MEM, and anyone willing to do that is worthy of being a part of the family. Sting says the door is open for him to have a spot in the family. Sting says no matter what they want to thank him publicly. Sting leads the fans in an “AJ” chant.

AJ’s loner music hits and he walks down the ramp and then he pulls the hoodie off and “Get Ready to Fly” hits. AJ has cut his hair and shaved the scruffy beard off as well. AJ says he appreciates what MEM is saying as another “AJ” chant breaks out. He says he needs to do this thing himself and MEM leaves AJ alone in the ring.

AJ says he knows the fans have questions for him and he has the answers. AJ says he knows after Thursday the biggest question on everyone’s mind was is he the newest MEM member. AJ says he respects what MEM is doing and he hopes they kick A&8’s butt. He says he’s wore the suit and tie before (Fortune) and it’s just not him. AJ says over the past year he’s developed some trust issues like when two of his best friends stabbed in the back, or like when guys in the production truck airing his dirty laundry without even checking with him to see if it was even true. AJ says maybe it was just everyone telling him that this is just the way the business is and the only person he can trust is himself. AJ says if he hasn’t made himself clear, he is with no one.

AJ says everyone has been asking him why he’s changed and everyone’s perception of him may have changed but that’s because his perception of the business has changed. AJ says that you can make no mistake about it, he is the best in the world and he is “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles! AJ says he loves what he does in the ring he has to understand that this is just a job. AJ says everyone might know where he’s coming from as a big “yes” chant breaks out. AJ says it sounds like the fans know what it’s like having a job that just plain sucks. AJ says no matter what job it is most people have had that moment when “upper management” shafts the hardest working man in the building. AJ says he’s realized over the last year he deserves better and then looks over at Mike Tenay and says “hey, Mike I deserve better!” AJ looks into the camera and says, “hey Dixie, I deserve better!”

AJ says he has been Dixie Carter’s “go to guy” for the better part of 11 years for her to simply bring in “the next big star” just to watch that person fail. AJ says it might have been the “new direction” she tried to go into that went nowhere and there he was to pick up the pieces again and put the company right back on his shoulders. AJ says there has been so many times over the past year that he prayed to God that Dixie would just fire him so he didn’t have to quit, but he stayed and did his job the whole time because like most of the people in the crowd he has a family and he has to take care of them. AJ says he didn’t quit and he started coming to the ring and tapping people out.

AJ says something happened in his head and something clicked. AJ says he LIKES being TNA’s “go to guy” and the guy that can steal the show and deliver the goods. AJ says he likes being the guy that can send the fans home happy because they got their money’s worth. He says he likes being the “go to guy” but the question is can he still be that guy. “You better believe it” AJ says and he says “you’re damn right” he can put the company on his back again. AJ says now the question is if he can win the BFG Series and become the NEW World Heavyweight Champion! Roode’s music interrupts AJ and he comes down to the ring for the next BFG Series match up!

BFG Series Match 
“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles (22) vs. “The IT Factor” Bobby Roode

Any type of win here likely sures up a spot for Roode while AJ needs a submission win to get any shot at being in the Final Four. AJ and Roode lockup and Roode gets AJ in a hammerlock. AJ counters into a wristlock and then he hooks Roode’s leg and rolls him into the Calf Killa but Roode quickly grabs the ropes. Roode rolls out to the floor to get away from AJ. Back in the ring Roode kicks AJ as they go for another lockup. Roode hits AJ with an elbow and then slams him into the turnbuckles. Roode lights AJ up with chops and then attempts to whip AJ into the ropes, but AJ reverses it and then leapfrogs Roode. AJ looks for the Phenomenal Dropkick but Roode saw it coming and holds onto the ropes. AJ charges at Roode but runs right into an elbow. Roode then charges at AJ but eats a nasty chop! AJ whips Roode into the ropes and connects with the Phenomenal Dropkick! Roode rolls out to the floor and then he springboards himself over the top to the ramp and then he Moonsaults off the ramp onto Roode on the floor! AJ tosses Roode back into the ring and then hits a Backbreaker and locks Roode in a Camel Clutch! AJ lets the hold go and then puts Roode in a chinlock, but Roode gets to his feet and backs AJ into the corner. Roode then charges at AJ but AJ gets his boot up and climbs to the top. AJ attempts a Tornado DDT but Roode blocks it and hits the Double-R Spinebuster! Roode puts the boots to AJ and then hits a Knee Drop for a nearfall. Roode puts his knee in the back of AJ and then hits a Vertical Suplex. 1…2…NO AJ kicks out! Roode puts his knee into the back of AJ repeatedly and then puts him in a modified surfboard. AJ fights back up to his feet and breaks the hold and elbows Roode repeatedly. AJ and Roode exchange strikes and then Roode goes for a big right hand. AJ kicks his hand away and connects with a vicious series of strikes ending with the Spinning Back Fist and a Lariat! Roode retreats to the corner and AJ hits a Flying Forearm and then he climbs up top. Roode sees him and charge at AJ but AJ leaps over him and lands on his feet. AJ then hits a Spinebuster of his own and hits a Lionsault. AJ actually landed pretty hard on his shoulder because for some reason he hesitated just a hair on the moonsault. I don’t know if he thought maybe Roode was too far at the last minute. He did connect with but he came close to hitting his head. AJ realizes he needs more points so he goes for a submission, but Roode kicks him away and then charges at him with a clothesline. AJ ducks it and hits the Pele out of nowhere! AJ calls for the Styles Clash but Roode blocks it and backdrops AJ over the top rope! AJ lands on his feet on the ramp and then hits Roode with a shoulder block through the ropes! AJ goes for the Springboard Flying Forearm but Roode catches him in midair with the Crossface! That was a beautiful sequence. AJ fights the hold and gets his feet on the bottom rope to break it. Roode pulls AJ back to the center of the ring and locks in the Crossface again! AJ rolls Roode over into a pin, 1…2…NO Roode kicks out! AJ then gets to his feet and rolls Roode into the Calf Killa as he charged at him! Roode gets to the ropes to break the hold as it seemed like he was about to tap. AJ pulls Roode back to the center and looks like he’s going to go for the Figure Four, but Roode kicks him into the turnbuckles. Roode then goes for the Payoff but AJ counters into a cradle! 1…2…3!

Winner: AJ via pinfall (rollup)

After the match AJ looks disappointed as he realizes the pin isn’t going to get him into the Final Four. Tenay points out that it was likely instinct to go for the pin there. With that pin AJ moves up to fifth place with 29 points but Daniels remains in fourth place with 30. Hardy, Roode, and Magnus round out the Final Four. So now it comes down to Daniels and Aries.

In the back JB is outside Hogan’s office and he has received word that after the next match Hogan will have a lot to say in the ring.

Main Event 
BFG Series Match 
“A-Double” Austin Aries (28) vs. “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels (30)

Any win or even a draw keeps Daniels in the Final Four while Aries needs at least a pin. Daniels is wearing some weird goggles, like welding goggles or something. Daniels and Aries lockup and Daniels forces Aries into the corner. Daniels hits a series of shoulder blocks and then puts Aries in a headlock. Aries shoves Daniels into the ropes but eats a shoulder block as Daniels bounces back. Daniels hits the ropes again and Aries drops down in front of him. Daniels cartwheels over Aries and when Aries gets back to his feet Daniels meets him with a scoop slam. Daniels gets a one count and then rubs his forearm on Aries’ face before tossing him into the corner. Daniels whips Aries into the opposite corner and charge at him, but Aries floats up and over Daniels. Aries then rakes the back of Daniels and then rakes his chest too. Aries trips Daniels and then goes for the Last Chancery but Daniels crawls away. Aries mocks Daniels by laying across the top turnbuckle. Daniels runs after him but Aries drops down to the apron and his a shoulder block through the ropes. Aries then slingshots back into the ring and leapfrogs Daniels before connecting with an armdrag. Aries locks Daniels in an armbar but Daniels uses his legs to break the hold by putting Aries in a headscissors. Aries does a headstand to escape the hold and hits a Basement Dropkick for a nearfall. Aries sets up for something but Daniels rolls out to the floor. Aries goes for a Baseball Slide but Daniels moves out of the way and punches Aries. Daniel slams Aries into the apron and then goes for the Split Legged Moonsault off the top but Aries slides into the ring. Daniels lands on his feet and Aries flies through the ropes with the Heat Seeking Missile, but Daniels catches Aries in midair with a Leaping Enziguri as Aries went through the ropes! Back in the ring Daniels covers Aries for a nearfall.

----COMMERCIAL BREAK----

Back from the break Daniels hits a Split Legged Moonsault on Aries for another nearfall. Daniels hits a Reverse Bulldog for yet another nearfall. Daniels puts Aries in a chinlock but Aries fights back up to his feet and breaks the hold with elbows. Aries hits the ropes but Daniels gets Aries in an Abdominal Stretch. Daniels goes old school reaching out to the top rope for leverage but Aries reverses the hold and pulls the same heel move. Daniels goes for a Uranage Suplex but Aries counters with an armdrag and then they both hit the ropes and clothesline each other. Both men get to their feet and Daniels hits a series of jabs on Aries. Aries fights back with a DISGUSTING chop and then a series of forearms and body shots! Aries with another chop and then he whips Daniels into the corner and hits a Running Clothesline followed by a Back Suplex Slam! Aries pulls out the Pendulum Elbow! 1…2…NO Daniels kicks out! Aries goes for the Brainbuster but Daniels runs him into the corner. Daniels then hits the ropes and charges at Aries but Aries hip tosses him over the top to the floor! Aries hits the Heat Seeking Missile through the ropes onto Daniels on the floor! Aries rolls Daniels back in the ring and then climbs up top but Daniels grabs the referee to stop Aries from diving. Daniels shoves the referee away and charges at Aries but Aries dives over him and lands on his feet. Aries then charges at Daniels but runs right into a Spinning Sitout Powerbomb! 1…2…NO Aries kicks out! Daniels puts Aries on the top rope and hits an uppercut followed by an attempt at the Fall from Grace, but Aries blocks it and boxes the ears of Daniels. Aries dives off the top with a Missile Dropkick! Aries hits the IED on Daniels in the corner followed by an attempt at the Brainbsuter, but Daniels reverses it into the Last Rites! 1…2…NO Aries kicks out! Daniels can’t believe that Aries kicked out and starts showing frustration. Aries and Daniels exchange forearms in the center of the ring but then as Aries attempts the Roaring Elbow Daniels hits a Big Boot. Daniels then hits an uppercut and hits the ropes but Aries is right behind him with a dropkick! Aries hits the Brainbuster! 1…2…3!

Winner: Aries via pinfall (Brainbuster)

Austin Aries moves into the Final Four while also knocking Daniels out of it! Magnus, Aries, Roode, and Hardy are now the official Final Four.

In the back Bobby Roode talks to Tito Ortiz and Miss Tessmacher. He says sometimes he feels about making a mockery of Hogan and his family but then he snaps back into it and laughs. Ray says he needs Tito to watch Anderson and if he steps out of line he should knock him back into line.

----COMMERCIAL BREAK----

Hulk Hogan makes his way down to the ring and gets a loud reaction. Hogan says it sounds like everyone missed him but he’s been taking care of business the last couple of weeks. Hogan says the wrestlers have been tearing it up in the ring but it’s great to be back tonight. Hogan name drops Michael Jordan (talking about the shoes he’s wearing) so I guess maybe Hulk thinks Jordan is from Cleveland. He’s not, in fact Michael Jordan was long known for breaking Cleveland’s heart year after year.

Hogan says his first order of business is the BFG Series and then the standings appear on the big screen. Hogan says he’s changed the game now for September 12th. He met with Spike TV executives and BFG Series deserves one more match before No Surrender so next week is a Gauntlet Battle Royal worth 20 points! Every single member of the BFG Series will be in it and with a win in that match will have a shot at getting into the Final Four. Well, except for Jay Bradley because even if he won he hilariously wouldn’t even crack the top 8.

Before Hogan can say anything else Bully Ray walks out and interrupts him along with Brooke Tessmacher. Bully mockingly calls Hogan “dad” and says he’s missed Hulk over the last couple of weeks. Ray holds the belt in his face and says a lot has changed since he’s been gone. Bully says what he’s been waiting to do is introduce him to Brooke, but Hogan cuts him off and he can shut it down right there. Hogan says he’s watched Ray’s charade and since he’s been gone he’s been taking care of personal business along with wrestling business. Hogan says after a little bit of time and a whole lot of money he has a set of divorce papers from Brooke Hogan for him and throws it at Bully. Hulk says Brooke Hogan is moving on without him whether he likes it or not.

Bully steps on the papers and kicks them away. He laughs and asks if he really thinks that Bully cares about those papers or his daughter. Bully says he never cared about Hogan’s daughter and he did something else no other man has done to his daughter, he used her. Bully says he used her to get the World Title and he used Hulk and Sting and all the idiot fans to get exactly what he wants. Bully says he also has Tito Ortiz and A&8 and now he’s on cruise control because he doesn’t have to do anything until BFG.

Hogan asks Bully if HE knows who Hogan is and then reminds him that he’s the TNA GM. Hogan says he’s going to use Bully and his family the same way Bully used his family. Hogan says in two weeks Bully is going to defend the World Title against one of the A&8 members! Bully screams at Hogan that he can’t do that and he says he isn’t fighting any of his brothers. Hogan says he runs the show and in two weeks he will defend the belt against a member of A&8. He says he will also defend the belt this week…AGAINST STING! He said THIS week but he meant next week as Tenay corrects him.

Sting hits the ring and goes after Bully Ray and hits a big clothesline. Bully rolls out of the ring and runs away!

8/22 Impact Wrestling Report: Main Event Mafia vs Aces and Eights

Week two from Norfolk, VA opens up with highlights from last week’s “Hardcore Justice” special.

Bully Ray and Tito Ortiz are shown arriving to the arena with Bully on the phone with “Brooke” and he reemphasizes that this week is about her.

Mr. Anderson approaches Bully and shakes Tito’s hand and Anderson tells Bully he wishes he would have told him about the Tito situation earlier. Bully asks Anderson when he got so sensitive and says this is club business, and Tito is with him. Bully says Anderson shouldn’t be so worried about that but she would be worrying about taking care of business against Main Event Mafia tonight.

Bobby Roode leads Bad Influence down to the ring and Roode congratulates Bully Ray on becoming a two time World Champion last week. Roode says Bully found a way once again to screw the system and found another friend along the way. He says that’s fine because now Bully is the man that has a target on his chest. Roode says he’s looking at the three men that will do anything to take that belt from him too. He says that one of them will walk into BFG and become the new World Heavyweight Champion whether he likes it or not. Roode says that he set the tables, literally, last week in the Tables Match to gain twenty points leapfrogging his way into second place in the BFG Series. Roode says they’re only getting started and then hands the microphone over to Kaz.

Kaz talks about his Ladder Match and reminds us that he beat AJ, Hardy, and Aries in that match. Daniels calls the faction “The Extraordinary Gentleman’s Organization” and says that they are two for two, and tonight he will complete the sweep in the Street Fight saying he’s the best “street fighter” in all of TNA.

Roode says they are 25% of the BFG Series but asks why they would want to just be 25% when they could be a full third. He says they’ve been thinking and they decided they need to add one more member to the group, and that member is none other than his former tag team partner Austin Aries. Roode says Aries knows him and he can trust him and Bad Influence. Roode says they have united as a group and if Aries wants a shot at winning the World Title back he needs to join them on their march toward BFG.

James Storm’s music interrupts Roode and the Tag Team Champions make their way down to the ring. Storm asks Roode if he really just said the word trust and he says he’s pretty sure that Roode told Bad Influence that they could trust him. Storm says he knows Roode and reminds us that he tagged with him for four years and says he trusted him. Storm says it’s not a matter of if he turns on Bad Influence, it’s a matter of WHEN he does it because when he’s done with them he’ll just toss them to the curb. Storm tells them not to look to him when he does it either because Storm is just going to look at them and say, “sorry ‘bout yo damn luck!”

Roode says that Storm is just jealous of him and he’s always been jealous of him. Storm says the only thing he’s ever jealous of is the guy that’s got a six pack and he’s only got two left. Storm says Roode knows him and he knows that he’ll tell a man what he’s going to do even before he does it. Storm says he’s going to go take off his hat, take a sip of his beer, and punch Roode right in his face. Storm says he’s never needed to get dressed up for a fight so he’ll be right back.

Storm takes his shirt off and his hat and then takes a drink of his beer while Roode screams at him. Storm punches Roode and then Gunner knocks Daniels out of the ring and tosses Kaz into a corner! Gunner clotheslines Kaz over the top and Earl Hebner runs out and rings the bell!

Non-Title Match
“Cowboy” James Storm & Gunner vs. “The IT Factor” Bobby Roode & Kazarian w/Daniels

Storm and Roode brawl around ringside while Gunner tosses Kaz all around the other side of the ring. Hebner sends Daniels to the back and then Storm drags Kaz into the ring. Kaz tags Gunner into the match and then whips Kaz into the ropes. Storm hits him with an Atomic Drop and then Storm and Gunner connect with a Russian Leg Sweep/Clothesline combo on Kaz!

----COMMERCIAL BREAK----

Back from the break Roode bounces Gunner back and forth between turnbuckles and then lights him up with chops. Gunner answers with forearms of his own and then attempts to whip Roode into the corner, but Roode reverses it and connects with a back elbow for a nearfall. Roode slams Gunner into Kaz’s boot and then tags Kaz into the match. Kaz whips Gunner into the ropes and hits him with a spinning heel kick for another nearfall before Storm breaks it up. Roode tags back in and takes turns with Roode kicking Gunner. Roode hits a Snapmare Takeover followed by a Rolling Neck Snack to the bigger Gunner. Roode follows up with a Vertical Suplex and then a Knee Drop. 1…2…NO Gunner kicks out again! Roode tags Kaz in and holds Gunner as Kaz puts the boots to him. Kaz hits a Leg Drop for yet another nearfall and then taunts Gunner as he tries to reach Storm. Gunner gets pissed and nails Kaz with a forearm but Kaz pokes him in the eyes. Kaz kicks Gunner and then goes for a clothesline but Gunner counters into a Uranage Backbreaker! Gunner slaps himself repeatedly and then tags in Storm! Kaz tags in Roode and Roode runs into a series of rights from Storm. Storm whips Roode into the ropes and nails him with a back elbow followed by an Atomic Drop and then a clothesline. Kaz runs in but gets Hip Tossed by Storm. Storm hits a Powerslam on Roode and then charges at Kaz. Kaz backdrops Storm over the top rope and Storm lands on the apron. Storm hits a Leaping Enziguri to the back of Kaz and then climbs to the top. Storm dives off with a Flying Elbow Drop on Roode! 1…2…NO Kaz breaks it up! Gunner tosses Kaz over the top rope and then Storm shoves Roode into the ropes. Storm goes for a backdrop but Roode stops and attempts the Payoff. Storm reverses it into Closing Time! Storm sets up for the Last Call but Roode pulls the referee in front of him. Storm realizes it and stops before he connects with Hebner. Kaz runs in with one of the title belts but Storm saw him coming and nails him with the Last Call! Roode low blows Storm as the referee shoves the title belt out of the ring, and then rolls him up! 1…2…3!

In the back Aries says last week Sting offered him a spot in the MEM and now his ex-partner is offering him a spot in his faction. Aries says he says that he wants him to join their side but then last week they cost him twenty points when they distracted him in the Ladder Match. Aries says he has a lot to think about but he’ll have his answer by the end of the night.

If you are unaware Dixie Carter and Hulk Hogan announced the 3-Way’s are out in the X-Division, so X-Division matches can be one-on-one or any other type of match going forward. Manik started to sprint to the ring and Dutt saw him coming so he went for a springboard move, but Manik ducked it and Sonjay landed on his feet on the ramp. Sonjay charges at Manik again but Manik hip tosses him over the top into the ring! Manik climbs up top and dives off but Sonjay moves out of the way and Manik flips onto his feet. Manik shoulder blocks Sonjay and then hits the ropes ducking a clothesline from Sonjay. Manik bounces off the ropes again and catches Sonjay in a Hanging Octopus before transitioning into a Crucifix Rollup! 1…2…NO Sonjay kicks out and quickly gets back to his feet. Manik catches Sonjay with an arm drag but Sonjay shoves him off into the ropes. Sonjay drops down in front of Manik but Manik flips over him and then goes for a clothesline. Sonjay ducks and then gets Manik with a hurricanrana for a nearfall! Sonjay whips Manik into the ropes and then goes for a backdrop, but Manik counters with a Sunset Flip. Sonjay rolls through it and goes for a head kick, but Manik avoids it by dropping down to the mat but Sonjay quickly hits a Standing Moonsault before Manik can get up! 1…2…NO Manik kicks out again! Sonjay picks Manik up and puts Manik in his own variation of an Octopus and then he rolls Manik up for another nearfall. Sonjay hits a charging Manik with a back elbow and then puts him in a Straight Jacket Sleeper. Manik fights up to his feet and tosses Sonjay to the side. Manik goes to pick Sonjay up but Sonjay kicks him in the head and then whips Manik into the corner. Sonjay charges at Manik but he floats up and over Sonjay and then hits the ropes and does his Spiderman hang between them as Sonjay shows some frustration. Sonjay charges at him but Manik drops down and Sonjay falls through the ropes. Manik then springboards from inside the ring into a Missile Dropkick onto Sonjay on the floor! Manik tosses Sonjay back into the ring and then hits a Springboard Missile Dropkick for another nearfall. Manik goes for the Tiger Breaker but Sonjay blocks it and then attempts a Roundhouse Kick, but Manik catches his leg and then lifts Sonjay up into a Sitout Powerbomb! 1…2…NO Sonjay still kicks out! Manik charges at Sonjay but Sonjay gets his boot up and then catches Manik with a Mafia Kick followed by a T-Bone Suplex! Sonjay then hits a Springboard Splash! 1…2…NO Manik kicks out! Sonjay picks Manik up and hits a Front Slam and then climbs up top for the Moonsault Stomp, but Manik rolls out of the way and Sonjay attempts a Running Hurricanrana. Manik blocks it and lifts Sonjay up to his shoulder where hits a modified Go To Sleep dropping down to his back and kicking Sonjay in the head rather than the way CM Punk drops his opponent onto his knee. I believe Manik calls that move the Detonation Kick or he did when he wrestled as TJ Perkins. Manik then hits the Tiger Buster! 1…2…3!

In the back Mr. Anderson talks to A&8 and he says that they need to focus on getting the job done tonight. Devon says they’re more than focus and Anderson says no one is going to step up for MEM making it five on four.

“Super Mex” Hernandez vs. Jay Bradley vs. “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels vs. Joseph Park w/Eric Young

This one is worth twenty points. Hernandez shoves Daniels into a corner and hits a Splash followed by a Overhead Belly-to-Belly Throw. Hernandez chokes Daniels in the corner while Bradley goes for a splash on Park, but Park moves out of the way and hits a series of strikes. Park hits the ropes but runs into a back elbow from Bradley. Bradley then hits a series of forearms of Hernandez but then walks into a shoulder tackle from Super Mex. Hernandez then clotheslines Bradley over the top but gets caught with a rollup from Daniels for a nearfall. Daniels rolls Hernandez up again but again only gets a nearfall. Daniels hits an uppercut and then bounces off the ropes but Hernandez catches him with an over the shoulder backbreaker for a nearfall of his own. Bradley breaks up the pin with a chair shot to the back to Hernandez. Bradley wraps the chair around Hernandez’s neck and then whips him into the turnbuckles. Bradley hits Hernandez in the neck with the chair and actually cuts Hernandez’s ear with it. Hernandez then shoves Park into an elbow from Park. Hernandez then follows up with what may have been a receipt for that chair shot because Hernandez didn’t just shoulder block Bradley, he ran THREW him. Daniels etas a Hip Toss from Park and then a Scoop Slam. Hernandez then hits a cross chop on Daniels and then Hernandez and Park whip Daniels into Bradley in the corner. Park whips Hernandez into a Splash on the heels and then Park hits a Splash on them of his own.

During the break Roode and Kazarian walked onto the ramp. Daniels picks up a kendo stick but Hernandez kicks him and wraps the kendo stick across Daniels’ back. Hernandez hits him with the stick again and then goes for the Border Toss on the ramp, but Daniels backdrops him! In the ring Bradley hits a splash on Park in the corner and then goes for a Big Boot but Park moves out of the way and hits a series of shoulder blocks before walking into an eye poke from Bradley. Bradley picks up the chair but Park takes him down and locks in a Boston Crab! Kaz gets up on the apron but Park chases him off only to get dragged out by Roode. Eric Young attacks Roode and then gets beat down by Roode and Kaz. In the ring Bradley slams Daniels in the corner and then hits a Mafia Kick followed by a Hip Toss. Bradley charges at Daniels in the corner but Daniels gets his boot up. Bradley catches his foot and then kicks him in the nuts before hitting him with the chair. Bradley Back Suplexes Daniels onto the chair and then goes for the Boom Stick, but Kaz trips him and drags him out to the floor. Kaz and Roode beat Bradley down and then Hernandez comes flying out of nowhere with an insane Air Mexico over the top onto Daniels in the ring! Hernandez whips Daniels into the corner and hits a Splash and then hits him with the Get Off Me! Hernandez goes for the Border Toss again but Daniels holds onto the ropes to block it. Austin Aries runs out and distracts Hernandez allowing Daniels to hit the STO! Aries high fives Roode and Kaz and then kicks Daniels in the nuts and hits the Brainbuster! Roode and Kaz chase Aries up the ramp while Bradley drags Park into the ring. Bradley pulls out some brass knucks and nails Park with them! Park’s mouth is bleeding and he loses his ever loving mind. Park runs Bradley over and then lays Hernandez out and hits the Block Hole Slam on Bradley! 1…2…3!

Park slowly comes back to earth and then celebrates with EY.

Sting talks about TNA’s bad night last week and starts getting pissed. Rampage says he’s going to break Tito’s face when he sees him next time. Sting says he doesn’t think anyone is going to step up for them and Magnus says “so what” and calls them the elite of pro wrestling so they’ll step up themselves. Joe says he’s right and says they don’t need anybody to step up because they’re “bred for war.”

The NEW World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray strolls his way out to the ring followed by Tito Ortiz. Bully says it sounds like everyone here tonight is really happy to see him which gets a chorus of boos. Ray asks if they’re mad at him and then asks the fans how it feels to have the wool pulled over their eyes…AGAIN. He says he suckered everyone again and he only has one question for everybody, “do you know who I am? I’m Bully Ray, I’m the president of Aces & Eights…and I am the World Heavyweight Champion.” Ray says he’s not a two-time World Champion because he doesn’t recognize Sabin’s title reign because it was a fluke. Ray says everything is now right in TNA again which brings him to his new best friend, Tito Ortiz.

Bully hands Tito the microphone and Tito says Rampage should have known when he signed on the dotted line to fight him what would happen. Tito says he knocked Rampage out and on November 2nd he’ll do it again. A “you sold out” chant starts and Bully says if everyone thought the Tito surprise was big they’re about to be really shocked. Bully says it’s time for the whole world to know about he and his girl, and then he calls “Brooke” out to the ring.

Brooke Hogan’s music hits but Miss Tessmacher (Brooke Tessmacher) comes out instead. Tessmacher and Bully kiss in the middle of the ring as the fans boo. Bully says that now that he has the “hot Brooke” with him and the Huntington Beach Bad Boy with him he can’t ever be stopped again. He says there is only one thing left to do and then Brooke uses her mouth to take Bully’s wedding ring off and she spits it out.

ODB vs. Gail Kim

ODB and Gail with a collar and elbow tie-up and ODB shoves Gail back. They tie-up again and again ODB tosses Gail back. Gail gets ODB in a waistlock but ODB bucks her off and then charges at Gail, but Gail sidesteps her. ODB grabs Gail by her hair and slams her into the turnbuckles. ODB hits a Splash in the corner and then the Carpet Muncher in the corner! ODB stacks Gail up but only gets a nearfall. ODB whips Gail into the corner and Gail attempts to float up into a headscissors, but ODB catches her in midair. ODB goes for a Powerslam but Gail blocks it and shoves ODB into the ropes only catch a shoulder block. ODB hits a Fall Away Slam and Gail rolls out to the floor. ODB chases her back into the ring but Gail catches her with a Flying Armbar as she gets back in the ring. Gail cannonballs across the arm of ODB and then puts her in a hammerlock and shoves the same arm into the turnbuckles. Gail pulls ODB’s arm through the ropes and cannonballs down onto it again. ODB kicks Gail away and then climbs up top and grabs Gail by the hair. Gail kicks her arm away and then kicks ODB in the injured arm. Gail pulls ODB down off the top and hits a Shoulderbreaker! 1…2…NO ODB kicks out! Gail puts ODB in a Hammerlock on the mat and then kicks her in the arm again. Gail grabs the arm and hangs it on the ropes and goes for another cannonball, but ODB uppercuts her in the crotch. ODB tosses Gail back in the ring by her hair and hits a clothesline followed by a forearm and then a back elbow. ODB attempts to whip Gail into the corner but Gail reverses it and charges at ODB. ODB gets her boot up and climbs to the top again and slams Gail’s head into the turnbuckles with the Dirty Dozen. ODB then dives off the top with a Thesz Press, 1…2…NO Gail kicks out and ODB continues to sell the arm. As ODB reaches down to pick Gail up Gail kicks her in the arm again. Gail climbs up top but ODB crotches her on the top and then climbs up with Gail. ODB slaps Gail in the chest and then hits a Superplex! ODB sells the arm as they land but finally rolls over and pins Gail, 1…2…NO Gail kicks out! ODB goes for the BAM but can’t pick Gail up because of the arm allowing Gail to catch ODB with the Crucifix! 1…2…3!

Backstage Aries says Roode and company asked him a question and he just answered them. Aries says he can play mind games too and says Roode picked two guys that have never been World Champions before, but he has because he beat Roode for that belt. Aries says he doesn’t need their help or Hogan’s help or Dixie Carter thinking he’s gorgeous (boy, that was a shot at Magnus if I ever heard one) either. Aries says he doesn’t need to politic to keep his spot either and all he needs is his God given talent.

More footage of the Steel Cage Match is shown. Chris Sabin is shown after the match in the back and he calls A&E the masters of manipulation. Sabin says he knows Bully is vicious and dangerous, and he proved it in the match. He says they always find a way to get around the rules and he calls them a cancer. Sabin says the belt meant everything to him but he says he will be back.

After MEM and A&8 make their entrances Anderson grabs a microphone and calls out the A&8 leader Bully Ray to come watch this one. Bully Ray walks out with Tessmacher and Tito. Bully sits down in a chair on the stage with Tessmacher on his lap. Anderson says there are only four of MEM and that’s unfair so they can just pick someone to lay down and get it over with. Sting says not a single one of them is laying down for anyone and if they go down then they will go down together.

AJ Styles’ music hits and the lights go out. AJ walks onto the ramp and stares over at Bully. AJ stops at the end of the ramp as an “AJ” chant starts. AJ’s music stops and then his “Get Ready to Fly” theme hits and AJ pulls off the hood and holds up the P1 sign as the fans lose their damn minds. AJ pulls off the hoodie off revealing his old blue and black gear and AJ is fired up and Tenay is losing his damn mind too. AJ leaps over the top rope and the fight erupts!

Main Event 
10-Man Losers Leaves Town Tag Team Match 
Main Event Mafia (Rampage Jackson, Magnus, Samoa Joe, & Sting) & “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles vs. Aces & Eights (Mr. Anderson, Knux, Devon, Garett Bischoff, & Wes Brisco)

The loser of the fall must leave TNA forever. MEM cleans house on the A&8 and AJ drags Anderson to ringside and starts working him over. AJ slams Anderson into the apron as another “AJ” chant breaks out. Sting slams Knux into the ring steps. Back in the ring AJ whips Anderson into the ropes and then leapfrogs him and connects with the Phenomenal Dropkick! Magnus tosses Wes into the ring and whips him into the ropes and catches him with the Tormentum! Magnus tosses Wes into the MEM corner and tags Joe into the match. Joe destroys Wes in the corner with lefts and rights before tossing Wes into another corner. Joe whips Wes into the opposite corner and comes charging in with a Running Back Elbow followed by the Leaping Enziguri for a nearfall! Wes rakes Joe’s eyes and quickly tags Garett into the match only for Garett to eat a back elbow. AJ tags into the match and hits a Fireman’s Carry Backbreaker on Garett.

Back from the break MEM is beating on Magnus in their corner. Magnus tires to fight out of the corner but eats a huge Cross Body from Knux! 1…2…NO Magnus kicks out! Knux hits a Back Suplex on Magnus and then tags Devon into the match. Devon hits a Diving Headbutt on Magnus and then chokes him in the ropes. Devon tags Garett back into the match and he puts the boots to Magnus. Garett chokes Magnus on the ropes and then hits a Flapjack for a nearfall. Garett tags Wes into the match and they whip Magnus into the heel corner. Wes then whips Garett into a Running Forearm from Garett and Garett whips Magnus into a clothesline from Wes for a nearfall before Joe breaks it up. Anderson tags into the match and punches Magnus in the ribs. Mr. Anderson slams Magnus and then covers him for a nearfall. Anderson hits the ropes and goes for a Cross Body but Magnus catches him in midair only for Anderson to poke him in the eyes. Anderson tags Devon and then holds Magnus as Devon beats on him. Devon hits a Snapmare Takeover followed by a Leg Drop and then a taunt to the crowd. Devon puts Magnus in a chinlock and then he hits the ropes and connects with a shoulder block. Knux tags in scoop slams Magnus. Knux climbs up top and dives off with a Guillotine Leg Drop for a nearfall. Knux covers Magnus over and over but Magnus continues to kick out. Knux goes for a Vertical Suplex but Magnus counters into a DDT! Both men are down now. Magnus rolls to his corner and gets the hot tag to Sting! Sting with a dropkick to Knux and then the Stinger Splash twice! Sting goes for the Scorpion but A&8 interrupt him and now MEM jumps in the ring as all hell breaks loose. Rampage rolls into the ring and lays each member of A&8 out with clotheslines and forearms. Rampage hits Scoop Slam on Wes! Knux hits Rampage from behind but then Sting hits the Stinger Death Drop on Knux! Sting locks in the Scorpion Death Lock! Devon takes out Sting’s knee and then rolls Knux on top of him, 1…2…NO Sting kicks out! Devon tags into the match and beats on Sting in the corner. Devon hits a Scoop Slam on Sting and then climbs up top and dives off with a Diving Headbutt, but Sting rolls out of the way and tags AJ into the match! AJ hits the Springboard Flying Forearm on Devon and then knocks all the members of A&8 off the ramp! AJ hits a big series of strikes capping it off with a Spinning Backfist! AJ hits a Leaping Enziguri on Devon! 1…2…NO Devon kicks out! Anderson hits AJ from behind and puts the boots to AJ but MEM hits the ring again and cleans house on A&8 as the brawl goes back out to the floor. AJ goes for the Styles Clash but Garett runs in with a clothesline attempt. AJ ducks it and nails him with the Pele! AJ goes for a Clothesline on Devon but Devon ducks and Spears the holy hell out of AJ! Devon goes for a slam but AJ blocks it and hits the Styles Clash! 1…2…3!

Opinionated View- I am going to take a guess that the 5 on 5 match is delayed somewhat because of Kurt Angle being in rehab. Of course match for 8/22 would be tapped that same night it could be TNA doesn't want to blow it's load on one night. the Tables match should be awesome TNA has clearly been building toward an Anderson and Joe feud and have put hints of a Magnus vs Roode match.

* In-ring promo with Bully Ray and TNA Champion Chris Sabin about their re-match on August 15. Brooke Hogan came out and said that a clause has been put in the contract. If Ray loses to Sabin, he can never again challenge for the TNA Title.

1. Jeff Hardy def. Samoa Joe in a BFG Series Match after Mr. Anderson distracted Joe.

2. Mr. Anderson def. Magnus in a BFG Series Match by DQ after Bobby Roode ran in and nailed Anderson with a chair. This causes Magnus to lose 10 points in the BFG Series.

* In-ring promo with Kurt Angle and Tito Ortiz, talking about how they respect one another. Bully Ray came out and said he doesn't respect either one of them.

Impact Wrestling Report: Hail Sabin!

The yearly showcase of TNA’s high flying X-Division opens up with a slew of X-Division stars standing in the back as Mike Tenay hypes up the card and then we cut to the back where Chris Sabin is getting ready for the World Title Match tonight. Jeremy Borash is on commentary tonight like last years Ultimate X.

An excellent special intro hypes up Chris Sabin’s title shot with pictures from his childhood as he talks about being told he would never be able to be a World Title. Clips of his career along with clips of his injury are spliced in throughout along with Bully Ray talking trash.

Aces & Eights music hits and Bully Ray makes his way out to the ring through the tunnel rather than through the crowd like usual. Tenay wonders where Taz is and JB says that he was told 10 minutes ago to get on the headsets and was told nothing more. Bully says it sounds like everyone is really happy to see him tonight but enough is enough. He says that all week long all he’s heard about on Facebook, Twitter, the internet, etc. is about the “little boy” Chris Sabin. Bully says everyone wants to talk about Chris Sabin as a “Let’s go Sabin” chant erupts. Bully says they can chant his name from now to high heaven it doesn’t matter because he doesn’t have a shot in hell in beating him. Now a “yes” chant starts and Bully says it sounds like the fans are planning a parade for Sabin, but what they should be doing is planning his funeral. Bully says he is the most hated man in wrestling and that’s just the way he wants it. He says it’s the perfect night for Bully Ray to defeat Sabin and for Aces & Eights to destroy the Main Event Mafia.

Bully says there is only one thing left for him to talk about, he wants to talk to his wife Brooke. He tells her to get out to the ring and she obliges him. Brooke says she doesn’t understand what else he could possibly want from her. She says that she’s sick of it and she is moving on showing her engagement ring to Phil Costa. She tells him to move on too. Bully says that he’s happy he has the opportunity to look her in the eyes tonight and tell her that she can move on when he TELLS her that she can move on. He shows her his wedding ring but then Hulk Hogan’s music hits.

Hulk comes out and tells Bully to knock it off. He says Bully is right because enough is enough. A massive “Hogan” chant starts and he says Bully has raped and pillaged TNA and all that is going to come to an end. Hulk grabs Brooke and walks away with her but Bully tells them not to turn their backs on him. Bully says he will never give her a divorce and he will never lose the World Title and there is nothing that he or anyone else can do about it.

Kurt Angle appears on the big screen and says things are different now because the Mafia is here as the rest of MEM appears behind him. Angle says tonight Bully will lose his title to Chris Sabin in a fair fight and there is nothing he can do about it. Sting says they’ll find out tonight whether Bully’s “brotherhood” is stronger than the family. Rampage is shown pacing back and forth staring at the camera as Sting & Angle talk.

Tenay & JB hype up the card for tonight and then footage of Aries beating Roode for the World Title last year at Destination X is shown.

In the back Bobby Roode is asked if Destination X brings up bad memories for him and he says it reminds him of one word: fluke. Roode says he isn’t thinking of the past, he’s thinking of the future and the future starts tonight. He says his road to BFG starts tonight where he will once again become the World Heavyweight Champion.

BFG Series Match 
“The IT Factor” Bobby Roode vs. “A-Double” Austin Aries

This is a rematch from last year’s Destination X Main Event where Aries shocked the world by winning the World Heavyweight Championship. Since then Aries & Roode have feuded and then became Tag Team Champions as The Dirty Heels. Roode has no points in the BFG Series currently while Aries has 7. A big “Let’s go Aries” chant starts up as Aries & Roode square up. They lockup in the center of the ring with Roode getting the advantage with a side headlock. Aries shoves Roode into the ropes and then drops down. Roode leaps over him and then bounces off the ropes and Aries leapfrogs him and then catches him with an armdrag and locks in an armbar. Roode counters into a headscissors but Aries uses a headstand to get out of it and go right into a Basement Dropkick attempt, but his longtime rival and partner saw it coming and rolled out of the way. Aries applauds that and then they lockup again and this time Aries gets Roode in a headlock. Roode shoves Aries into the corner but Aries uses the corner to float up and over Roode as he charges at him, and then Aries hits the ropes and ducks a clothesline. Aries ducks a back elbow but then Roode catches him with a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker as he bounces off the ropes again. Aries rolls out to the floor and then as Roode comes towards the apron Aries quickly leaps up and attempts a shoulder block through the ropes, but Roode sidestepped it and kicked Aries in the chest. Roode attempts to Suplex Aries over the top back into the ring but Aries catches him with a series of knees to the head and then Roode lets go and Aries hits a big forearm. Aries backdrops Roode over the top to the floor! Aries then climbs up top and connects with the Savage Diving Axe Handle out to the floor! Aries rolls Roode back in the ring and Aries climbs up top again and dives off with a Flying Cross Body, but Roode catches him in midflight with a dropkick! Aries rolls out to the floor again and Roode follows up with a Flying Clothesline off the apron!

Back from the break Roode hits the Double-R Spinebuster back in the ring! 1…2…NO Aries kicks out! Roode lifts Aries up to the top rope and climbs up with him. Roode attempts a Superplex but Aries blocks it and boxes the ears of Roode repeatedly until Roode falls back to the mat! Aries dives off with the 450 Splash! 1…2…NO Roode kicks out and Aries can’t believe it! Aries connects with a series of right hands and then connects with forearms. Aries chops Roode and then whips him into the ropes but Roode holds onto the ropes and backdrops a charging Aries over the top. Aries lands on the ramp and then hits a shoulder block through the ropes to Roode. Aries then goes for the Slingshot Somersault Senton but Roode rolls under the ropes onto the ramp. Aries rolls through as Roode rolls off the ramp down to the floor and Aries dives through the ropes with the Heat Seeking Missile sending Roode crashing into the ring steps! Aries plays to the crowd on the rampway as they are going nuts. A big “TNA” chant starts up. Aries tosses Roode back into the ring and then Aries climbs up top. Aries hits a Missile Dropkick sending Roode flying into the corner. Aries then hits the IED and attempts the Brainbuster, but Roode blocks it and then goes for a Fireman’s Carry but Aries blocks it and rolls Roode up! 1…2…NO Roode kicks out and grabs Aries in the Crossface! Aries is able to use his free arm to roll Roode backwards into a pin! 1…2…NO Roode breaks the hold and counters into a crucifix pin! 1…2…NO Aries kicks out and then Roode catches Aries with a Backslide! 1…2…NO Aries kicks out and then nails a kneeling Roode with a Spike DDT! Both men are down now. Aries goes for the IED again but this time Roode gets his boots up and then goes for the Spear but Aries blocks it and goes for the Brainbuster again! Roode blocks it and hits the Northern Lariat! 1…2…NO Aries kicks out! Roode goes for the Payoff but Aries counters into the Roaring Elbow! Aries goes for the Brainbuster again and again Roode blocks it again and again goes for a Fireman’s Carry. Aries again blocks it and this time plants Roode with the Brainbuster! 1…2…3!

Winner: Aries via pinfall (Brainbuster)

A dejected Bobby Roode can’t seem to believe what just happened and stares JB at ringside before crabbing a monitor off the announce table and destroying it. Roode goes nuts and starts throwing the announcers chairs around ringside and then picking up a fans drink and smashing it. Roode punches himself in the face repeatedly as he has lost it.

We get a bit of a L.A.X. reunion in the back as Hernandez & Homicide talk. Hernandez is even wearing his old NWA Title chain that had the Mexican flag on it he used to wear. Chavo Guerrero walks up and says he’s a big fan of Homicide and wishes him luck in his match tonight and Homicide does the same to Chavo. Homicide says he’ll see Hernandez later tonight and walks away. Chavo says he’s going to win the X-Division Title and Hernandez will win the BFG Series so next year at Destination X it can be Chavo vs. Hernandez for the World Title.

Backstage Aces & Eights talk and Anderson says DOC not getting the VP nod “pushed him over the edge” and he has “turned in his cut.” He says they have work to do tonight.

Clips of each man’s TNA careers are shown as they come out to the ring. The winner of each of the 3 Qualifying Matches this week meet in an Ultimate X Match next week to crown a new X-Division Champion. We’ve seen Petey & Sonjay many times over the last year but Homicide has been absent from TNA since 2010. He did reform L.A.X. with Hernandez at “TNA One Night Only: Hardcore Justice” against the Disciples of the New Church however. As all 3 men get in the ring Petey tries to kick Homicide but he catches his foot and flings it towards Sonjay. Sonjay catches it as well and then Homicide kicks the outstretched leg of Petey. Sonjay shoves Homicide into the ropes and Homicide bounces off with a shoulder block. Petey goes for a German Suplex and Sonjay grabs Petey from behind as well but Homicide quickly grabs the ropes and Sonjay rolls Petey up! 1…2…NO Petey kicks out and Homicide tosses Sonjay through the ropes. Sonjay lands on the apron and then Petey goes for a forearm on Homicide but he ducks and Petey knocks Sonjay off the ropes. Homicide then tosses Petey out to the floor as well and hits a Slingshot Somersault Plancha onto Petey & Sonjay on the floor! Back in the ring Homicide charges at Petey but Petey catches him with a drop toe hold sending Homicide into the ropes and then Petey hits a Hesitation Dropkick to the back of Homicide as he’s hung up in the ropes. Sonjay springboards off the top but Petey sidesteps him and then puts Sonjay in a Full Nelson and transitions into a Snapmare, but Sonjay cartwheels through only to get kicked in the gut by Petey. Petey whips Sonjay into the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Sonjay ducks and then connects with a Running Hurricanrana! Sonjay catches Homicide with a Hurricanrana as well sending Homicide out to the floor. Sonjay sets up for a dive but Petey catches him with a shoulder block through the ropes followed by a Slingshot Code Breaker! 1…2…NO Sonjay kicks out! Petey goes for the Sharpshooter on Sonjay but Homicide charges at him only to get Hip Tossed by Petey! Petey holds onto Sonjay’s legs in a modified Indian Death Lock on the mat! Homicide climbs up top and dives off with a Diving Headbutt to Petey breaking the hold on Sonjay! All 3 men get back to their feet and Homicide goes nuts on Petey & Sonjay with kicks and forearms. Homicide shoves Sonjay into a corner and then hits a Flying Forearm on Petey followed by one on Sonjay! Homicide then hits a Belly-to-Belly Suplex on Petey followed by the Gringo Cutta on Sonjay! 1…2…NO Sonjay kicks out! Homicide lifts Sonjay up to the top and climbs up with him but Sonjay shoves him off and then goes for the Moonsault Stomp, but Petey crotches him on the top. Homicide then grabs Petey for the Gringo Killa but Petey blocks it goes for the Canadian Destroyer! Sonjay is hanging upside down in the corner as Homicide blocks the Destroyer and shoves Petey into the corner. Homicide then charges at Petey but eats a back elbow and then Petey climbs up top and I think was going to do his old O Canada taunt in the corner. Sonjay lifts himself up and freaking German Suplexes Petey off the top as he’s hanging upside down! Homicide then hits the Gringo Killa on Petey! He’s dead! 1…2…NO Sonjay is able to free himself and break it up! Homicide goes for the Gringo Cutta but Sonjay blocks it and hits the Sonjay Cutter! Sonjay climbs up top and hit’s the damn Moonsault Stomp! 1…2…3!

Kenny King vs. “Mexican Warrior” Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. Manik

Chavo is already in the ring as we come back from break and King is entering. The only one that gets a full entrance is Manik. King is a former X-Division Champion and the Manik character has won the belt but the current incarnation (TJ Perkins) has never won it. Chavo has never won it either but is a multiple time WCW & WWE Cruiserweight Champion. King attacks Manik as he gets in the ring and then Chavo whips King into Manik as Manik backdrops him over the top. King lands on the apron and then Manik shoves Chavo into the ropes where King pulls the top rope down sending Chavo crashing to the floor. King then goes for a springboard move but Manik moves out of the way and goes for a clothesline. King ducks it and then hits an Atomic Drop followed by a Spinning Enziguri! Chavo tries to get back in the ring but King destroys him with a dropkick through the ropes! King hits a Snap Suplex on Manik and then rolls backwards into a mount where he punches him repeatedly. King is getting a lot of heat tonight. King whips Manik into the ropes but Manik catches him with a Spinning Headscissors into the Octopus! Manik then sweeps the legs of King and puts him in an Indian Death Lock. Chavo comes in and goes for a Suplex but Manik blocks it and hits a Bridging Northern Lights Suplex as he keeps the Death Lock on King at the same damn time! 1…2…NO Chavo kicks out! Manik attempts to whip Chavo into the ropes but Chavo reverses it and Manik does his Spiderman impression by hanging between the ropes. Chavo is not amused and dropkicks the hell out of Manik! King whips Chavo into the ropes but Chavo catches him with a Spinning Headscissors followed by a Rolling Liger Kick! Chavo climbs up top and dives off with a Missile Dropkick. 1…2…NO King kicks out! Manik climbs up top and dives off with a Flying Cross Body on both King & Chavo! Manik then uses the ropes to lift himself up in the air and grab Chavo in a headscissors and pull Chavo headfirst into the turnbuckles! Manik then hits a Springboard Flying Cross Body out of the corner on King! Chavo kicks Manik and then grabs him from behind as King charges at him. Manik kicks King and then gets free from Chavo and whips him into King! Manik charges at Chavo and Chavo lifts him up into the air and into a dropkick on King! Manik then hits a Crucifix Rollup on Chavo, 1…2…NO Chavo kicks out! Manik goes for his Tiger Buster but Chavoc blocks it and then hits the Three Amigos! As he went for the third Amigo King came charging at him so Chavo drops Manik and kicks King and hits Three Amigos on King! Chavo climbs up top but Manik springs to the top with him. Chavo blocks whatever Manik is attempting and shoves him back down to the mat. King then hits a Flying Double Knee into Manik who goes crashing into the corner crotching Chavo on the top! King climbs up with Chavo but Chavo shoves him off. King is able to backflip to his feet and then he leaps up with an Enziguri knocking Chavo off the top! King celebrates and eats the Tiger Buster from Manik! 1…2…3!

In the back Main Event Mafia talk about tonight. Sting says tonight is the night they put MEM back together for. Angle asks if everyone is ready to put the first plan into effect and Rampage says he’s ready to knock someone out.

In the back Hulk Hogan talks to Sabin and he says everyone knows what Chris has been through. He says that he had no idea this was a set up for greatness for Sabin and tonight is his night. He says that at the end of the night just make sure they remember him and bring the title home. Sabin thanks Hogan and shakes his hand.

Main Event Mafia come down to the ring. Sting says they gave Aces & Eights fair warning and they told them they would bring the fight to them. He says the family is custom made for this very night and they’re looking for A&8. Angle says this fight is going to be more brutal and more vicious than A&8 can even imagine. He says they brought chaos to TNA and turned it upside down and for that the Mafia is coming after them. Angle says this the greatest array of champions, fighters, and wrestlers to ever be assembled and they’re going to prove it tonight.

Magnus says they are ready and asks if the fans if they’re ready and calls A&8 to come out and face the family.

A&8 appear on the big screen and Anderson asks if they really thought they would just walk out there at their beck and call. Anderson says they do things on their own time and they have a big celebration for later to worry about. Anderson challenges MEM to come to the back and face them.

Joe says A&8 are probably back there enjoying a few drinks and MEM is a little thirsty. He asks Rampage if he’s thirsty and Rampage responds by saying “oh you know I’m thirsty!” Joe says they’re going to come back there and drink their drinks and beat them down right now!

MEM leaves the ring and walk toward the back. MEM finds Anderson who leads them into a room where the rest of A&8 are waiting! Bully Ray slams Angle into a wall and then tosses him into the back of a truck while Devon locks the door where the rest of MEM & Aces are fighting! The truck drives off with Angle in the back!

Rubix vs. Rockstar Spud vs. Greg Marasciulo

Rubix & Spud are making their TNA returns. Rubix is formerly known as Jigsaw in Ring of Honor & CHIKARA. He has wrestled for TNA at various times including earlier this year at One Night Only: X-Travaganza in an Ultimate X Match. Spud won TNA’s “British Boot Camp” competition and has wrestled a few times for TNA but has spent most of his time since signing at OVW training. Greg is formerly known as Trent Barreta, one of half of the team The Dudebusters, in WWE. Since being fired by WWE he has worked all over the country including for Ring of Honor. Spud taunts Greg & Rubix so they both chop the hell out of him. Rubix then goes for a Back Suplex on Greg but he lands on his feet as Tenay informs us that Greg has a picture of Bill Murray on his kneepad because “he’s a cool dude.” Greg puts Rubix in a side headlock and then Spud charges at him but Greg backdrops him as he continues to hold the headlock on Rubix. Rubix shoves Greg into the ropes and connects with a Hurricanrana as the fans chant “Trent Barreta.” Spud tries to sneak in behind Rubix but when Rubix catches him Spud decides to back out of the ring instead of fighting him. Greg hits Rubix with a Running Back Elbow and then lights him up with chops. Greg hits the ropes but Spud grabs his foot to stop him so Greg kicks him through the ropes and then sets up for a dive. Rubix grabs Greg from behind but Greg hits him with a series of elbows and then holds onto the ropes as Rubix attempts a rollup. Rubix ducks a clothesline attempt from Greg and then dives through the ropes with a Tope Suicida onto Spud! Greg clotheslines Rubix on the floor and then tosses Spud back into the ring and covers him for a nearfall. Greg grabs Spud but he pokes Greg in the eyes and then beats on him in the corner walk talking trash to him. Spud talks trash to the crowd and walks into a chop from Greg. Greg then picks Spud up but he rakes the eyes and then rolls him up! 1…2…NO Greg kicks out! Rubix rolls back in the ring and Spud kicks him repeatedly. Spud hits the ropes but Rubix catches him in the air and slams him back to the mat and then hits a Sliding Knee! 1…2…NO Spud kicks out! Spud rolls out to the apron and Rubix grabs him and slams him into the turnbuckle. Greg then charges at Rubix but he sidesteps him and Greg springboards off the corner turnbuckle into a Flying Elbow on Spud knocking him off the apron! Rubix charges at Greg but he gets backdropped over the top. Rubix lands on the apron and hits a Leaping Enziguri on Greg and then climbs up top and dives off with a Flying Rana! Greg rolls out to the floor and Spud rolls back in where Rubix avoid several strikes from Spud and hits a back elbow. Rubix hits a Bridging German Suplex! 1…2…NO Spud kicks out! Spud retreats to the corner and Rubix charges at him but Spud moves out of the way. Spud then stomps on Rubix’s hands and hits a Shining Wizard. 1…2…NO Rubix kicks out! Spud taunts Rubix and then goes for a German Suplex but Greg comes flying out of nowhere with a Springboard Missile Dropkick as Rubix moves out of the way and Greg nails Spud! Spud rolls out to the floor and Greg hits a beautiful Somersault Plancha over the top onto Spud on the floor! Dude gets some pretty wicked air, almost AJ Styles like, on that dive. Greg rolls Spud back in the ring and then climbs up top but Rubix nails him with a Superkick and then a Leaping Enziguri knocking Greg off the top! Rubix climbs up top to the opposite corner and hits a Van Terminator on Greg! Spud tosses Rubix to the floor and covers Greg, 1…2…NO Greg kicks out! Spud talks trash to Greg and slaps him repeatedly as Rubix tries to get back in the ring. Spud kicks Rubix back out and then spits in Greg’s face. Spud sets up for something but Greg counters into a disgusting move where he puts Spud on his back upside down with his legs hooked and drops down to his knees. I now I used to see Joel Maximo from the S.A.T. do that move but I have no idea what you would call it. 1…2…3!

In the back Bully Ray talks on the phone about what they just did to Angle. He suggests Rampage knocked Wes out in the brawl and tells the person to take Angle to the spot they talked about earlier. Ray says before he does that make him an offer he won’t refuse.

The truck from earlier is shown driving up but Kurt Angle gets out of the driver’s seat!

The beautiful Mickie James is in the ring. She says there was a moment last week that will be glorified in Knockouts history because it raised the bar for women in the industry across the globe. She says it goes to show you what hard work and dedication will truly get you. Mickie says there is no better gift than to share it with everyone and then a clip of her concert in Nashville, TN last week is shown. Everyone boos her and she talks about how amazing she is and how much of a giver she is. She says that’s what being the “heartbreaking, history making, Knockout Champion of the Century” is all about but then Gail Kim interrupts her.

Gail Kim says Mickie is really funny and really delusional if she thinks anyone was talking about her stupid performance last week. She says the only thing anyone was talking about was her dominant performance in the Ladder Match last week, and the only thing that is going to make her perfect package complete is getting her title back. Mickie says there is a clause in her contract that states she needs a certain amount of space and oxygen to compete and right now Gail is invading both. Mickie says she will give her credit that her match last week was a solid “2 or 2 ½” but Mickie’s performance was a 5 star performance. Mickie counts to 5 on her hand and then tries to slap Gail but Gail ducks and slaps Mickie! Mickie tackles Gail and they start rolling around the ring brawling! Referees run out to try and separate them and Gail Spears Mickie! Damn I wish I was one of those referees! Mickie rolls out of the ring and Gail tries to get to her again as Mickie holds up the belt and says Gail will never have it again.

Chris Sabin is shown warming up backstage when Aries approaches him and asks him how he’s feeling. Aries says he won’t try to diminish anything Sabin has done here but he wants him to understand that he wouldn’t be getting this shot if it wasn’t for him. Aries says he’s not even talking about Option C. He says it’s because of Aries that Sabin raised his game to a level that maybe even Sabin himself didn’t think he had. Aries says that’s what he does, he finds out just how great people can be and Sabin proved he can be great. Aries says he’s already proved he can beat Bully Ray before and Sabin beat him so tonight Sabin has a chance to finish that equation and win the World Title. He says he’s even pulling for him tonight and tells him to get the job done tonight.

AJ Styles is shown sitting in a stairwell backstage. He says the X-Division reminds him of himself, “been there done that… put it on the map.” AJ says next week he has Jeff Hardy, another hero. AJ says this is no place for a hero and he’s taking his points.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship 
Bully Ray (c) vs. Chris “Hail” Sabin

I believe this is Sabin’s very first World Title shot, there may have been a NWA World Title shot against AJ Styles way back in the day but I can’t seem to remember it. Sabin cashed in his X-Division Title aka Option C for this shot at the belt. Bully Ray has been champion since April. JB does the Main Event boxing style intros for this one. Sabin is wearing new black and white gear. After Bully’s introduction he gets right in Sabin’s face trying to intimidate him but Sabin doesn’t back down. Ray tells Sabin that he’s going to take his knees out. As Bully goes to the opposite corner to put his title down Sabin comes right behind him and as Bully turns around Sabin gets in his face and says he’s going to beat his ass and become the World Champion. Bully shoves Sabin and as Sabin comes back at him Bully retreats to the ropes and the referee gets between them. Bully then trips Sabin and immediately goes after the knee but Sabin kicks him away and then hits a series of Roundhouse Kicks! Sabin goes for another one but Bully catches his foot and hits a sick chop! Sabin just shrugs it off and kicks Ray! Ray absolutely obliterates the chest of Sabin with one of the most sickening chops I’ve ever heard. Bully dares him to kick him again and Sabin obliges and then Ray answers with another nasty chop. Sabin’s chest already has welts on it. Sabin gets fired up and kicks Bully hard in the ribs and Bully takes a running start as he chops Sabin this time! Sabin again screams at Bully to “come on!” Bully swings at him but Sabin ducks and hits a series of chops, backhands, and kicks. Sabin hits several Forearm Smashes that send Bully reeling into the corner! Sabin mounts Bully and beats him with right hand after right hand! Sabin gets a running start as he goes for another kick but Bully catches his leg and then sweeps his other leg and elbow drops the knee of Sabin! Sabin rolls out to the ramp as a “Bully sucks” chant starts. Aces & Eights are shown walking out onto the ramp behind Sabin. Main Event Mafia are right behind them! Both MEM & Aces surround ringside.

----COMMERCIAL BREAK----

Back from the break Bully slams Sabin’s knee into the ramp! Bully tosses Sabin over the top back into the ring and Bully starts talking trash to Rampage Jackson. Bully dares Sabin to get up and then he gets the injured leg out from under him. Again Sabin tries to get up and again Bully kicks the leg out from under him. Bully goes back to work on Sabin’s knee and puts him in a Kneelock. Bully starts unlacing Sabin’s boots so he can pull Sabin’s knee brace off and then he slams it into the mat again! Sabin tries to fight back with forearms but Bully takes him down with a clothesline! Bully is getting atomic beat right now. Bully punches Sabin repeatedly and then continues to rip the knee brace off of Sabin and he actually rips it up. Ray then grabs Sabin’s leg and rolls forward jarring the knee. Sabin tries to get back up and again Ray sweeps the leg and then grabs it and pretty much DDT’s Sabin’s knee! Ray screams at Sabin asking him if this is what he wanted. Rampage encourages Sabin to get up which pisses Ray off and he dares Rampage to hit him. Sabin gets to his feet and Ray dares him as well and Sabin obliges with a series of forearms, but again Ray cuts him off but kicking the leg. Ray taunts the crowd by doing some of Hulk Hogan’s posses and then he just flat out punches the knee of Sabin. A huge “Bully sucks” chants again and then Ray goes right back to work on the knee slamming it into the mat. Ray taunts Sabina and chops his chest as Ray asks Aces & Eights if he should rip off the other knee brace. Ray spits in Magnus’ face and says he’s luck that he isn’t doing this to him. Ray beats on Sabin in the corner and then whips him into the opposite corner but Sabin’s knee gives way and he hits the mat. Ray then goes for a Splash but Sabin gets his good leg up and hits a series of forearms. Sabin climbs to the top but the injury caused him to take too long and Ray recovers enough to crotch Sabin. Ray climbs up with Sabin and hit’s a Superplex! 1…2…NO Sabin kicks out! Ray goes for the Bully Bomb but Sabin blocks it and hits an Enziguri! Sabin limps to the corner and climbs up again! Sabin dives off with a Missile Dropkick that sends Bully into the referee as Sabin rolls over on top of Ray! Anderson hands Ray a hammer but Magnus jumps Anderson! The brawl is on now! Main Event Mafia & Aces start fighting all over the place! Rampage tosses Wes Brsico around like a damn ragdoll. The fight moves up the ramp to the back as Ray picks the hammer back up in the ring! Ray tries to hit Sabin with it but he nails Ray with a Spinning Back Kick! Sabin grabs the hammer but Bully kicks him and then lifts him up for a Powerbomb! Sabin hits him with the hammer! The referee comes to, 1…2………3! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! SABIN DID IT!

Winner & NEW World Champ: Chris Sabin via pinfall

The referee hands Sabin the belt as he looks shocked! Sabin raises the belt with Bully Ray laid out in the ring with Sabin starring down at the belt!
