Tito Ortiz Arrested on Suspicion of DUI

UPDATE: According to MMAjunkie.com, Ortiz had a blood alcohol level of .12. The legal limit in California is .08. Ortiz was booked at a Los Angeles Police Department substation, posted $15,000 bond and was released this morning.


ORIGINAL: According to KTLA, Bellator and TNA personality Tito Ortiz was arrested this morning in Los Angeles on suspicion of DUI. Ortiz was taken into custody at approximately 4AM local time, following an accident where his car crashed on the 405 Freeway near Sepulveda and Santa Monica boulevards. Ortiz was driving his 2012 Porsche Panamera and had two passengers in the car; no one was injured in the accident. 

Ortiz was transported to LAPD-77th Division for medical clearance and chemical testing, and was then booked without incident. More on the story as it comes…

TNA Talent Suffers Injury Forced To Pull Out of Bellator MMA Fight

TNA contracted talent Tito Ortiz has suffered a neck injury forcing him to pull out his Bellator fight with fellow TNA talent Rampage Jackson. The card with also features King Mo has been moved from PPV and instead will air for free on Spike TV. Jackson will not be fighting on the card.

Opinionated View- Well this is a much bigger deal for Bellator than TNA. A neck injury means Tito won't be wrestling anytime soon either. As for Rampage I guess his return depends on what Bellator/Viacom want to do. They could find Jackson another fight soon or they could put him back on TNA.

Bellator Pulls Tito Ortiz and Rampage Jackson From Bound for Glory

- Bellator Fighting Championships have pulled Tito Ortiz and Rampage Jackson from their scheduled appearances at Bound For Glory. Ortiz faces Jackson on Bellator's debut PPV, which takes place on November 2nd.

Opinionated View- Is it just me or does it feel like TNA gives and gives and Bellator takes and Takes. I mean King Mo hasn't appeared for TNA in nearly a year a big of that being the fact Bellator wanted him in the summer tournament and now on the PPV. I'm not saying Rampage or Tito would pop a buyrate but why not have them appear.

Tito Ortiz is the Man Behind #August1Warining

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz was revealed as the mystery man behind the #August1Warning videos during tonight's 8/1 TNA Impact Wrestling live from Wichita Falls, Texas. It was revealed last night on Spike TV that Ortiz would be coming out of retirement to face Rampage Jackson (also part of TNA as a member of the Main Event Mafia) during the first Bellator MMA PPV on November 2.

Opinionated View- I was very dissppointed by this. Tito's best days are very far behind him and with Rampage and Mo already in TNA there isn't some novelty of Tito being a MMA fighter. I also worry this will be more about hyping the Bellator PPV than doing a TNA story. I will talk more about this and other wise very strong Impact Wrestling in my next video that be up this weekend.
