Health Update on Homicide

As noted earlier, former TNA X Division Champion Homicide appeared at last night's Impact Wrestling tapings in Orlando, leading to speculation that recent reports of him needing surgery for a torn rotator cuff may be incorrect.

Homicide is still in need of surgery and is expected to have it soon, according to report. He is working with TNA for just a short time and has not signed a new deal with the company. Apparently he was just contacted a few days ago about coming in.

The torn rotator cuff has been bothering Homicide for several years now and surgery is indeed imminent.

TNA Changes Original Plans For Homicide

When TNA originally brought Homicide back for some X Division matches, they didn’t plan to use him much more than a few multi-man matches. However, since he got over so well in New York City, they changed their plans. The company rewrote parts of Impact Wrestling episodes to build him up as a contender for Samoa Joe’s X Division title last week.

Homicide was set to work last week’s Impact tapings in Bethlehem, PA, but he was forced to withdraw due to shoulder and elbow injuries. He did, however, appear at a Pro Wrestling Syndicate event (“All Fired Up”) in Rahway, New Jersey after he personally guaranteed he would be there.

Opinionated View- I had some reservations about brining Homicide back. Much like Matt Hardy it has just been so long since I had seen him have a good match. But he's looked pretty good in TNA. Maybe it just the fact he was fired to be in NYC on TV again. The fact the booking was much better than playing a psyhco clown like ROH had him. Or hell maybe he finally just tried again.

- Homicide will be missing at least part of this week's TNA tapings, due to shoulder end elbow issues. 

- TNA's UK DVD distributor Clearvision has relaunched their website, which focuses on TNA releases. 

- Homicide, Rockstar Spud, Tigre Uno, and The Great Sanada are scheduled to work this weekend's CHIKARA King of Trios events.

- Following this week's TV tapings, Kurt Angle is scheduled to travel to India for a TNA promotional tour.

John Gaburick has announced 3 more names for #TNANYC! Appearing at Destination X: Low Ki, Homicide and Brian Cage! More names coming soon!

Opinionated View- Low Ki is not a shock he worked a One Night Only a while back and reports have been he is coming back. Cage is a good talented guy. I hope Homicide is motivated for this.

Tag Title match set for Final Battle

Ring of Honor has announced that Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly will defend the ROH Tag Titles against Homicide and Eddie Kingston at Final Battle. The show takes place on December 14 in New York at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Read the official announcement at ROHwrestling.com.

Opinionated View- Well that sucks. I love reDragon and think they are an awesome team but I'm very unimpressed with Kingston and Homicide. Kingston has his moments but Cide is well past his prime and been phoning it in.

Names scheduled for TNA's "Destination X" special on Thursday night

Some former TNA names scheduled for tomorrow's 7/18 TNA Impact Wrestling taping in Louisville, Kentucky is Sonjay Dutt and Homicide. The first taping that will air Thursday night on Spike TV is the "Destination X" special featuring Bully Ray vs. Chris Sabin in the main event for the TNA Championship.
