EFC3 and Abyss Sign New TNA Deals

TNA announced earlier today on Twitter via Executive VP of Talent Relations John "Big" Gaburick that Ethan Carter III and Abyss have re-signed with the company.
"Another legendary @IMPACTWRESTLING star inks new deal with us. Congratulations @TherealAbyss. More to come today!"
"Proud to announce @IMPACTWRESTLING has locked up this man with a new deal. Congratulations EC3! (@EthanCarterTNA)"
TNA announced the re-signing of TNA Hall of Famer Kurt Angle yesterday and has said that more re-signings will be announced later this week.

Opinionated View- Great to hear as I have been saying now that TV is in place TNA can lock everything into place with talent. Good hear Abyss is staying around even better to hear EC3 is staying the guy has main event level talent. Plus I'm sure Dixie would be pissed if they didn't take care of family. (Yes I know it's a joke)

Team 3D’s Bound For Glory Match a Last-Minute Decision

The Wrestling Observer reports that TNA and Wrestle-1 were still working on the card for Bound for Glory on Monday, just before it was announced. The site notes that the Team 3D vs. Abyss and Tommy Dreamer match was put together simply because Team 3D had no one else to face on the card.
The original plan was to have Abyss in a singles match against Bram, but they went in another direction. As of this point Bram still does not have an opponent for the show.

4/24 TNA Impact Wrestling Report

Just days away from the “Sacrifice” PPV, Impact opens up with highlights from last week and then Magnus’ music hits and the former World Champion strolls down to the ring.
Magnus starts his usual opening “ladies and gentlemen this is your champion speaking” but stops realizing he no longer holds the belt. Magnus says he doesn’t look at it as he lost the belt or was beaten by EY, but he was let down because good help is hard to find these days. Magnus says that he is going to break wrestling tradition and not talk crap about Abyss behind his back. He says he wants Abyss to come out so he can say what he wants to say to Abyss’ face. Magnus is holding some big hook or something in his hand.
Abyss comes out to the ring and Taz reveals that the “hook” is actually part of a turnbuckle. Magnus says Abyss is a 6’8”, 300 lb. “blithering idiot.” Magnus threatens to hit Abyss with the turnbuckle if he tries to attack him. Magnus says that Abyss makes him sick and he’s starting to realize why everyone in his life abandons Abyss. He calls Abyss a “gigantic disappointment” and he only asked Abyss to do one thing, make sure that no matter what the World Title stays with Magnus.
Abyss reminds Magnus that MVP said anyone that came anywhere near the ring would be fired on the spot. Magnus reminds Abyss that he has a contract with Magnus not with TNA and then he fires Abyss from his personal service contract.
Abyss asks Magnus if he is really going to fire him and then points to his mask and says it was never about the money with him, it was about Abyss having a sense of belonging. He says he befriended and trusted Magnus because he said that he was Abyss’ friend. Magnus laughs at Abyss and Abyss says he realizes that all Magnus is, is a self centered arrogant jackass! Abyss says he is “THE MONSTER” and Magnus better remember that he hurts people and destroys lives. Abyss says since he is no longer an employee of Magnus he will start next with Magnus!
Magnus says Abyss does not have a contract with him or TNA so if he lays a finger on him he will have Abyss arrested for assault. Before anything else can be said MVP walks out and interrupts both men.
MVP says that Abyss is not one of his favorite people but he understands that in life people deserve second chances, and MVP wouldn’t be standing here today if he wasn’t given a second chance. MVP says if Abyss wants a place to belong and since he was just fired MVP will give Abyss a second chance and a full time spot on the TNA roster. MVP says he will give Abyss a spot on the roster if he wins his match tonight…against Magnus! Magnus freaks out and says that MVP can’t do that but MVP says he can and he did! MVP literally skips up the ramp and Abyss says that he never liked Magnus and he’s going to kick his ass.
EC3 approaches Rockstar Spud in the back and says he isn’t going to give Spud a speech to fire him up this week. EC3 says what he saw in Kurt Angle last week was the “real Kurt Angle”, and in that moment he realized something. He says that he realized there is only one man in the world that can beat Kurt Angle and that man is Ethan Carter III. EC3 says he has a plan tonight and he knows he asks a lot of Spud, but tonight he needs Spud to be his “gazelle” rather than a “lion” in his match with Kurt to exhaust Angle.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
“Olympic Hero” Kurt Angle vs. Rockstar Spud w/EC3
Spud keeps trying to walk back down the tunnel as he was making his entrance but EC3 made him get in the ring. Spud begs Angle not to hurt him but then shoots for the single leg on Angle only to get Gutwrench Suplexed across the ring. Spud kicks Angle in his previously injured knee repeatedly but then gets destroyed with a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker. After every spot Angle stares down at EC3. Angle beats on Spud and then whips him into the ropes and attempts a backdrop only to get kicked by Spud. Angle chases Spud out of the ring and when Spud slides back in the ring he distracts the referee as EC3 holds onto Angle’s leg not allowing him to get back in the ring. Spud then hits a Sliding Dropkick underneath the ropes onto Angle on the floor. Spud rolls Angle back in and hits a series of right hands on the Olympian. Spud climbs up top and dives off with a Missile Dropkick as he yells “I’m a gazelle!” He only gets a one count. Spud climbs back up top and Angle quickly gets up to the top and tosses Spud off with a Belly-to-Belly Overhead Superplex! EC3 gets on the apron and Angle knocks him off and then locks in the Ankle Lock as Spud taps quickly!
Winner: Kurt Angle via submission (Ankle Lock)
EC3 chop blocks Angle’s previously injured knee and then goes to put on the Knee Lock, but Willow runs out and chases Spud and EC3 off.
Backstage Angelina Love tells Velvet Sky that things are getting ugly with Madison Rayne. Velvet picks up a makeup bag and sarcastically says whatever is in that bag certainly doesn’t have anything to do with things getting ugly with Madison. Angelina says tonight out of the goodness of their hearts the Beautiful People will give Madison a makeover.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Backstage MVP walks into his office where Kenny King is sitting. MVP says that King has been going around making himself comfortable everywhere hasn’t he and King says MVP doesn’t realize that King should be headlining in this company. MVP says he has a match tonight so he can’t be worrying with King but if he wants a match tonight he’ll give him one. King gets excited and says of course he’s ready and MVP says he has a person just for King tonight. MVP refuses to tell King who the opponent is though.
Madison Rayne comes out to the ring and she says that she’s heard that the BP really want to give her a makeover so instead of sneaking around they can come out right now.
The Beautiful People come out and Angelina asks Madison what’s wrong and that she is looking a little rundown lately. Angelina asks if her “little baby” is keeping her up all night, and she knows Madison wants to be a role model for her kid but doesn’t she think that she should be showing some thankfulness for the amazing offer BP gave her for a makeover.
Madison says they’re right and she forgives them for what they have done to her, and then Madison apologizes to them. She says that she is sorry “because I’m about to do this” and then attacks both of them! The numbers game gets the better of Madison and BP beat Madison down.
Angelina screams at Velvet for disrespecting them and says Madison was a nobody before they allowed her into the BP. She says the only reason they hired her “ugly butt” was to make them look better. Brittany runs out and attacks BP!
The numbers game gets the better of her as well and Velvet hits a big clothesline on Brittany and then Angelina throws her to the floor. Velvet hits In Yo Face on Madison and then Angelina pulls out the trusty brown paper bag. She puts it over Madison’s face and wave Madison’s hand around while she is laid out.
Earlier this week Mr. Anderson is shown in Samuel Shaw’s hometown.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
During the break Gail Kim approaches Madison and Brittany and says that The Beautiful People are taking the Knockouts division in the wrong direction and she isn’t going to allow them to ruin her division. She says that everyone knows she doesn’t get along with either one of them especially Madison and she may not like Madison but she does respect her. She asks Madison to be her partner and Gail is right something has to be done about BP. Madison agrees to be her partner and Brittany says she’ll be out there in their corner. Madison says she’s already told her before that she appreciates it but she isn’t ready for this and no thanks.
Kenny King vs. Bobby Lashley
King didn’t seem too thrilled to have to face Lashley. Lashley grabs King at the bell and takes him down and then quickly grabs King and takes him down yet again. Lashley puts King in a side headlock and then lets go and puts the boots to King. Lashley whips King into the ropes and connects with a shoulder block. Lashley hits the ropes and King leapfrogs him and then hits a drop toehold and locks in a side headlock. Lashley powers up to his feet and then slams King to the mat. Lashley hits a Sidewalk Slam and King quickly rolls out to the floor. Lashley then hits a Powerslam and whips King into the corner. Lashley charges at King but King drags the referee in between them. Lashley puts on the brakes and then grab the referee and moves him out of the way. King tries to poke Lashley in the eyes but Lashley blocks it and puts King in a wristlock. King is able to come back with a second eye poke and then he grabs Lashley and bulldogs him across the top rope as King leaps over the top rope. King then hits a Springboard Missile Dropkick! King taunts Lashley as he puts the boots to him. King hits a series of right hands but Lashley fights back with elbows to the gut only for King to rake his eyes. King puts Lashley in a modified Crossface but Lashley is able to lift King up to his shoulders! King punches Lashley in the head repeatedly and hits the ropes only to run right into an Overhead Belly-to-Belly Suplex! Lashley hits a series of strikes and then a Running Knee and a big Lariat! Lashley sets up for the Spear but King gets his boot up! Lashley catches King’s boot and tries to spin him around but King spins around into a Spinning Enziguri! King climbs up top and taunts the crowd before diving off for the Blockbuster attempt, but Lashley catches King in midair and counters into a Delayed Suplex! Good lord that was insane! Lashley sets up for the Spear again but King rolls out to the floor and crawls up the ramp as he has had enough.
Winner: Bobby Lashley via countout
Another video of Anderson in Shaw’s hometown is shown. Anderson pulls him to Shaw’s parents house and a creepy looking older woman comes to the door. She looks eerily like an older Christy Hemme, and her name is Christy as well. Anderson makes a hilarious face to the camera as she invites him in.
In the back, James Storm approaches Bobby Roode in the locker room and asks if he is getting ready for their match calling him “partner.” Roode laughs and asks Storm if he has forgotten that it was just a few months ago that he beat the hell out of Storm in a bar. Storm laughs and says he hadn’t forgotten about that and he also hasn’t forgotten about the time Roode broke a beer bottle over his head and took his World Title away from him. Storm says memories like that don’t just go away and Roode of all people should know that the “Cowboy” doesn’t forget even when he is sh*t faced drunk. Roode laughs and says now that that is all cleared up why does Storm want to be his partner. Storm says because when they were partners no one could beat them and they were the best, the best tag team ever. Storm says they could go out and kick the crap out of others together, drink cold beer afterward, and then the next night beat the crap out of each other and not blink an eye. Storm says that is the respect they had for each other but he never once received any credit for making Gunner a star. He just wants to grab Gunner and say, “sorry…NOT SORRY” and then kick his teeth down his throat. Storm then says that it’s also a plus that he can make Gunner’s old man cry again when he kicks the crap out of Gunner and both laugh at that. Roode says he knows exactly what he’s talking about because there is something about putting Bully Ray through a table that puts a big smile on his face, and then Roode says Storm knows that Roode never smiles and Roode gets serious. Storm says he’s right so they need to stop talking and get this thing done.

4/17 TNA Impact Wrestling Report: Eric Young vs Abyss Monstersball

Impact opens up with highlights from last week’s shocking World Title change including a teary eyed Eric Young saying that moment was even more perfect than he ever would of thought it could have been. As much as I ragged on that title change and still feel it was a horrible decision, it was cool to see a genuinely emotional Young talking about what it meant to win that match to him.
The new World Champion Eric Young makes his way down to the ring for the first time since winning the World Title. EY says the belt he’s holding signifies a lifetime of hard work as the fans chant “you deserve it” at him. He says everything he’s done in his life has led him right here to be the World Champion. He says that he won the belt for him but he will be a champion for the fans. EY says this is his way of paying the fans back for their 10 years of unsolicited support for him. He says the time for a paper champion is over and things will change around here. He says they will have fun and he will defend the belt whenever, however, anyway the fans see fit. EY says the Impact Zone will be a party but before he can say anything else Dixie Carter walks out to interrupt his championship celebration.
Dixie says last week was such a special week for EY and everyone knows there is just one person responsible for this and that person is Dixie. She says she’s always seen the potential in him and 8 years ago when he was almost fired and he did the “Don’t Fire Eric” campaign she was the one that allowed him to stay. Dixie says that she invented the beard and grabs it and says she’s the one that made it fashionable to wear on TV before anyone else decided to. She jerks EY’s head around while holding the beard and ranting about beards.
EY says he thought Bully Ray packed her up and shipped her back to Nashville. He says that MVP is in charge and they don’t need her anymore. Dixie says that MVP is responsible for wrestling operations for now which she will be changing, but EY represents her as the companies World Champion. She says that for better or worse he is the hood ornament for TNA and he will go wherever she tells him. EY says he hopes she has some puke bags because riding around with her would make him sick. Dixie says that EY may usually look and smell like an unemployed lumberjack, but he is disrespecting her when he talks to her like that so he better put her in high regard. EY says he’s going to do to her what he always does to crap and flush it. She says she is trying to be professional while EY is more interested in being a court jester for the mindless people in the audience. She says that he will honor and obey her, but EY says he honors and obeys nobody. He says he is his own man and always will be so if she is interested in a paper champ she’s looking in the wrong place. EY makes a Dukes of Hazard reference in saying he’s going to run her over with the General Lee, but Dixie says he is the World Champion now and needs to find some class. She says that she is going to start that by giving him a Champions makeover and if he refuses she will just start by making over his “foul mouthed hard drinking little woman.”
EY says she is going to get one warning from him but before he can say anything else Bully comes out and interrupts them. Bully apologizes to EY but says everyone is sick and tired of hearing Dixie talk and tells her to shut her mouth. Bully says he isn’t here to steal EY’s spotlight but he is here to take out the trash as he points to Dixie. Bully says EY is a role model for every single wrestler that has ever been held down by a loser boss like Dixie. He says she should be proud of him, of a guy that has worked his way up from the bottom to become the World Champion. Dixie says Bully double crossed her and stole her money so why in the world would anyone listen to him. Bully says he did still her money and spent it in a strip club.
Bully says Dixie doesn’t want to piss him off because if she remembers last week she almost got put through a table. Bully says she should know what happens to people like her when a tables in the ring with him. He says this is EY’s time and starts a “good bye” chant with the fans aimed at Dixie. It pisses her off and causes her to leave Bully and EY in the ring. Bully says EY is a guy you can count on and a World Champion the fans can get behind and be proud of. Bully says he doesn’t endorse many people in the business because he doesn’t like a lot of people but he respects and likes EY. Bully starts an “EY” chant as EY raises the World Title.

Abyss says he’s worse than he’s ever been and he heard EY say he would defend that belt anywhere, any place, anytime. Abyss starts to walk away but EY grabs him and says he didn’t refuse and if they are going to do it they will do it right in Monsters Ball. EC3 reminds Spud that it was he that pushed Jeff Hardy off the ladder months ago that cost Hardy the World Title match. EC3 says tonight’s match is a Handicap Match because they are handicappers. He says that he handicapped Kurt Angle and Spud is going to handicap Willow.
MVP is in the ring now and he talks about EY winning the World Title last week. MVP says he wants to congratulate EY for having everything he’s done in his career pay off last week. He says that lost in all of the celebration is one name, Samoa Joe. MVP says he has to admit that he was more than just a little mad when Joe refused to wrestle last week. MVP says that he and Joe go way back and he has his personal phone number if Joe wanted to call him, and now Joe hasn’t returned his calls. MVP says now word has gone around that Joe is “disgruntled” and if he is disgruntled he should come talk to him. Austin Aries’ music then hits interrupting him.
Aries comes out and says if you want to talk about disgruntled you’re looking at the most disgruntled man that ever lived. MVP says that he wasn’t talking to or about Aries and Aries says that he hasn’t been talking to or thinking about him for almost a month now. The fans chant for him and he says it’s nice to know that some people haven’t forgotten about him since he has been sitting on the sidelines since Lockdown. Aries mentions MVP’s “MVP Principals” and says that he never needed any motivation but sitting home the last six weeks has lit a fire under his ass. Aries says not once has MVP validated his value to the company. Aries says that last week he had a Gauntlet Match with 10 of the best that TNA had to offer but didn’t include “the greatest.” Aries says that he came down here to “participate” and get some answers. MVP says he came to Aries like a man before Lockdown to be on his team but Aries gave him a speech about “integrity” and wanting to have a front row seat to his match with Roode and then Aries screwed him over. MVP says that Aries made his bed so now he needs to lie in it. Aries says MVP offered him a bunch of promises and asks if this is really why he is being punished right now because MVP’s feelings are hurt. MVP says if Aries wants to see him he can see him right now and gets in his face. MVP says this isn’t about Aries or MVP, it’s about the fans contrary to what Aries thinks. MVP says since Aries doesn’t need any motivation or validation he can give him some participation right now.
MVP takes off his jacket and Aries mocks him sarcastically saying “oooooh no, not your suit coat” and says he’ll see MVP’s coat and raise him a shirt as he takes off his shirt getting in MVP’s face. Aries asks if he wants to do this and says “right now…RIGHT NOW…NO, next week” and walks out of the ring. Aries says he’s too smart to throw fists with a convicted felon right now, but what he will do next week is outwrestle him and show him that he is the greatest man that ever lived.
A vignette highlighting EY’s title win is shown. EY is shown hugging Tommy Dreamer backstage after the win.

Handicap Match

EC3 screams “NO!” and swings at Angle but Angle ducks and hits a German Suplex! EC3 bails to the floor as Angle points to his knee and slaps it signifying he’s healthy.
----COMMERICAL BREAK----
Back from the break Kurt Angle says it looked like EC3 just saw a ghost, but he is no ghost he is the greatest wrestler alive and he is back. A “welcome back” chant starts up and Angle says that EC3 thought he ended Angle’s career, but Kurt says he’s a Hall of Famer and his career will end when he says it does. Angle says he has had many injuries in his lifetime and “in case you didn’t know I won a gold medal with a broken freakin’ neck.” Angle says EC3 injured him but he didn’t end him so this is what he is going to do to him. He says very soon EC3 will be in the ring with him and it will be just he and EC3, and he will realize why they call him the “cyborg.” Angle says he is a “devastation machine” capable of breaking his arm, leg, or ankle. He says he won’t do it right away so he can take his time and make EC3 squeal. He says that EC3 will tap out in his mind long before his body does. Angle says their fight will not end until EC3 is dragged out of the ring in a body bag!
Backstage Bobby Roode says Bully took away an opportunity from him so in return he has taken away Bully’s tables and made it his own. Roode says at Sacrifice he will put Bully through another table, but tonight he is issuing an open challenge to anyone in the TNA locker room except for Bully because he wants Bully to sit and watch the master of the Tables Match. Roode says whoever is dumb enough to accept his challenge should be forewarned their ass is going through a table.
----COMMERICAL BREAK----
A video package highlighting Sanada is shown. Sanada says that in Japanese society they believe there is no success without pressure, and he has always pushed himself to be the best. He says he trains harder than anyone else and Great Muta has put pressure on him to bring honor to Japan as Sanada is shown starring at the X-Division Title. Sanada says that Muta told him the X-Division Title is his way passport to the United States and now he must take his training to the next level. A training montage shows Sanada jogging through the streets in Orlando as Sanada says that he must prove himself to Muta and his country. He says that he will also prove himself to the fans in the United States in the Best of 3 Series with Tigre Uno. He says that he cannot underestimate Tigre Uno because he has a “strong fighting spirit” as highlights of Tigre are shown. Sanada says he will be the best and will bring honor to himself and Japan.
Kenny King comes onto a platform on the stage. King asks the fans if they missed him and says he knows that they did just like everyone at home did. He says that they should have no fear because he in all of his “chocolate splendor” is here and he isn’t going anywhere. King says he’s a little disappointed because for months he has been absent and being back TNA is a very different place with MVP in charge. He says he didn’t come out to talk about MVP’s intelligence because that would be a very short conversation. He says he came to talk about business sense and if you had a player with the skills of Derek Jeter or Peyton Manning you wouldn’t have them riding the bench. King says he is the Lebron James of pro wrestling and he has been on the bench. He says that stops now and he didn’t come out to try and get MVP to fight him again so he’s going to sit at the announce table and commentate as a “Hyundai Sanada fights a Buck Tooth Tiger” and may the best man win. King says whoever wins this series will lay the belt down at his feet.
TNA X-Division Title Best of 3 Series Match #2
Tigre Uno vs. Sanada (c)
Sanada leads the series 1-0 right now and if he wins tonight then the series is over and Sanada retains the belt. This is a must win situation for Tigre to force a final match. Tigre and Sanada lockup and when they brawl into the ropes they break clean. Another lockup leads to another clean break on a stalemate. They lockup a third time and this time Sanada catches Tigre with a wristlock. Tigre reverses it the hold into one of his own and then spins Sanada into a nice Hip Toss. Tigre hits the ropes but Sanada catches him with an armdrag and then they both attempt dropkicks at the same time. They stare each other down and then lockup again this time in a test of strength. ----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Magnus is shown arriving without Abyss.
Backstage MVP talks about tonight's show saying that Mr. Anderson will face "that creepy bastard" in a Straightjacket Match and that Madison Rayne and a partner of her choosing will face the reunited Beautiful People. Kenny King barges in and MVP brushes him off again as he says he's busy right now.
To win this match you have to place your opponent in the straightjacket. Anderson cuts a promo before the match and says that since "that creepy bastard" can't keep his fingers to himself he'll put him in a straightjacket to make sure he does. Shaw responds to Anderson's promo and says he isn't a creepy bastard. Shaw asks Anderson if he knows how amazing his hands are and says he creates art with his hands. Shaw says just like the fans, Anderson is just ordinary which means he can't understand his art. As the fans chant "creepy bastard" at him Shaw says the worst thing in the world is to be ordinary. Shaw says Christy Hemme loves him and then Anderson decks Shaw!
Straightjacket Match: Mr. Anderson vs. "The Creepy Bastard" Samuel Shaw

Backstage The Beautiful People say that they are going to rewrite history and if you think they were deadly before you "ain't seen nothing yet." Velvet says she almost felt sorry for Madison until Angelina shed light on Madison's true motives, she was trying to outshine the two that made her a star in the first place. Velvet says Madison was nothing before them and when they're finished she'll be even less. Angelina says it doesn't even matter who Madison's partner is because they're going to stick them with their own "ugly stick."
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Earlier today Eric Young says this didn't start about the World Title, it was about guilt over bringing the monster out but life has a funny way of working itself out. EY says he's been in TNA for 10 years and if anyone believes he didn't earn this they're kidding themselves.
Before Tigre Uno and Sanada lockup Kenny King walks out and interrupts them. He says he doesn't mean any disrespect to "my international friends" but the "King of the Night" is in the building right now. King says he didn't come to just steal the spotlight, he came to lock it down. He says that he IS the X-Division and he sees the international talent in the ring but everyone can agree the X-Division isn't the same without Kenny King. King says, "Kenny King and the X-Division were born on the same day, I came out of my momma doing a Backflip 630 Double Burning Inferno Splash." King says by the time he was seven he was doing things Mil Mascaras couldn't even dream of.
MVP walks out and interrupts King's rant looking none too happy. MVP asks King if he lost his damn mind and King asks if he looks crazy to him. MVP says he doesn't look crazy but he is surely talking crazy to interrupt his show. King asks when it became HIS show and MVP says it became his show the minute he sent Dixie home. He says the people hold him responsible for the shows content that's why it's his show. King says it's not his show because even with MVP standing in the ring with he and the international guys King is still the biggest star in the ring. MVP says that King is testing his patience and if he keeps this up he'll be the one to see stars. MVP says they can wrap this up and go back to his office and talk about this so the show can continue. King says unless MVP has a big stack of money and "big booty girls doing headstands and making their butt clap" he doesn't have anything to see back there. King says he has everything to see IN the ring and he says it's about damn time he started main eventing and headlining TNA. MVP says he may very well do that one day but it's not this day because the show is all booked up. MVP again tells King to come back to his office and they'll talk about things, but King says everybody can't be all booked up tonight. King then smiles and asks MVP what he's doing tonight. MVP says he's "directing wrestling operations" but King mocks him and says if he wants to motivate then he can get in the ring and motivate him. MVP says no and tells King to get out of the ring, and starts to leave. King taunts MVP and asks if he can bow to his fans before he goes, and then he bumps MVP which pisses MVP off. King says he's got MVP's attention now and MVP says he's going to whoop King's ass tonight.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
TNA X-Division Championship, Best of 3 Series Match #1: Tigre Uno vs. Sanada (c)
Tigre Uno has a new entrance where ribbons shoot out from the rafters as he poses on the ropes. The X-Division Title isn't on the line here technically, to win (or retain in Sanada's case) the belt one of these men have to win two of three matches in the next few weeks. Beer Money and Motor City Machine Guns faced off in a similar Best of Five Series a few years ago, and of course back in WCW (and again in WWE) Booker T and "he who we do not speak of" (Benoit) had a classic Best of Seven Series. Sanada and Tigre lockup and Tigre rolls through into a wristlock, and then takes Sanada down to the mat and lock him in a Top Wristlock. Sanada fights up to his feet and Tigre locks in a side headlock. Sanada shoves Tigre into the ropes and attempts a clothesline, but Tigre ducks and then Sanada leapfrogs him only to eat a dropkick. Sanada retreats to the corner and Tigre charges at him. Sanada gets his boots up but Tigre catches his feet and then spins him around hanging him up in the ropes. Tigre hits a Leaping Enziguri that sends Sanada out to the floor. Tigre fakes a dive as Sanada quickly moves out of the way. As Sanada rolls back in the ring Tigre dropkicks him and puts him in a Seated Surfboard. Sanada fights off the hold and counters by shoving Tigre into the ropes. Sanada hits a series of elbows and then dives off the top with a Flying Muta Chop. Sanada hits an Armdrag followed by a Back Suplex and then he goes for a Standing Moonsault. Tigre sits up to avoid it but Sanada saw it coming and lands on his feet and follows up with a dropkick to the seated Tigre Uno! Sanada gets a nearfall and then attempts to whip Tigre into the corner but Tigre reverses it and goes for a Splash in the corner. Sanada sidesteps him and puts Tigre in the Rolling Cradle capping it off with a nearfall. Tigre rolls out to the floor to get away from Sanada and as Sanada sets up for a dive Tigre quickly leaps back in the ring and nails Sanada with a Spinning Heel Kick! Tigre charges at Sanada in the corner but Sanada moves out of the way and then he runs into a boot from Tigre. Tigre goes for a Springboard Flying Cross Body but Sanada catches him in midair with a dropkick! Sanada goes to the top for the Moonsault but Tigre crotches him on the top. Sanada falls to the mat and then Tigre goes for a Split Legged Moonsault, but Sanada gets his knees up and then hits a Dragon Suplex! 1...2...3!
Winner: Sanada via pinfall (Sanada leads the Best of 3 Series, 1-0)
In the back Magnus says everything is fine with he and Abyss, and there is a very good reason why no one has seen Abyss yet. He says he's about to show Abyss to everyone like no one has ever seen him before.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Backstage Brittany approaches Madison and says she really looks up to Madison. She offers to be Madison's partner tonight but Madison says she isn't going to put Brittany in that type of situation because once you get involved with BP it's never ending. Brittany says Madison was in her shoes just a few years ago and all she needed was that one chance. Madison says she did beat Gail and then points out that they are dressed the same oddly. She asks Brittany if she knows what she's getting into here and Brittany says she does and Madison accepts her offer.
Magnus comes down to the ring and says he has something great to share with everyone. Magnus tells Abyss to come down to the ring and not be shy. Abyss walks out in a suit and tie still wearing his mask. So is this Corporate Abyss? Magnus says Abyss looks great and that this is how the "upper echelon" dress unlike the "mouth breathers" in the crowd. Magnus says they need to discuss strategy in their upcoming match tonight. He says MVP and Spike TV are all referring to this as a 4-Corners Match and the reason they are doing that is because they know the "hook" of the match is the prospect of Abyss squaring off with Magnus. Magnus says they both know that is not going to happen because he and Abyss are a team or "two peas...in a very big pod."
