WWE Officials Upset With Rey Mysterio and Del Rio

- WWE officials are said to be upset with both Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio for appearing at AAA's Triplemania event in Mexico.

Del Rio basically called WWE racist during his promo at the event. WWE doesn't want to be labeled racist, especially to the Latino community as they've been trying to build Latino stars over the past few years. The push for new Latino stars began when Rey Mysterio stopped working full-time due to his injuries.

Translation of Alberto Del Rio’s Promo From TripleMania

Here is a translation of Alberto Del Rio's promo from last night's TripleMania event, courtesy of Billy Krotchsen and Pwinsider.com

"History will mark this day as the day that El Patron returned home. But the truth is, after listening to that grand reception, I don't think El Patron ever left, because his heart belongs to you, it belongs to Mexico. A lot has been said about why I left, why I came back. Seven years ago I embarked on that dream, that adventure called America. And by suffering, blood, sweat and tears we showed North Americans and the entire world, that when you do things with heart, with passion, with love, and being humble under the eyes of God our Father, dreams do come true. Of course it wasn't easy, and then came a day that the dream turned into a nightmare. Similar to many of you, or if not you, to family members of yours, who have gone to the other side looking for a better life for those that we love, I came across a monster, a monster called racism. Racism doesn't distinguish sex, race, religion, color, it doesn't care…if you have money, if you don't have it. But this man that's standing right here (points at his father Dos Caras), that has given me everything and has made mr the person that I am, gave me the biggest gift a father can give his son – honesty and the spirit to triumph. He never lowered his head, so that I could learn to never lower it in front of anyone. I love you, Dad. In the U.S., they might be able to take my job, but they'll never, ever take away my dignity and my pride. And on this night, my fellow Mexicans, I promise you and God that never again will someone come and disrespect my people, myself and all those that I love – because I am El Patron Alberto and I am Mexican ladies and gentlemen!"

AAA TripleMania XXII Results 8.17.14: Alberto Del Rio & Rey Mysterio Appear

- El Patron (Alberto del Rio) opened Triplemania tonight with his father Dos Caras and he gave a scathing speech about the WWE and the monster he encountered called racism but didn't go into any other details before Konnan and his cronies came out to confront him leading to El Patron running them out of the ring.

1. Aero Star/Jennifer Blake/Mascarita Sagrada/Pimpinela Escarlata beat Super Fly/Sexy Star/Mini Abismo Negro/Black Mamba

2. Torneo por el AAA Cruiserweight Title/AAA FUSION Campeonato: Hijo del Fantasma defeated Angelico to win the titles. Order of Elimination: Drago (subbing for Ricochet)/Jack Evans/Joe Lider/Australian Suicide/Bengala/Pentagon Jr./Fenix/Daga/Angelico – This sounded like a total spotfest and Bengala was stretchered out.

3. Por el Reina de Reinas: Taya Valkyrie beat Fabi Apache to win the title in a match full of screwiness with Sexy Star, Hijo del Fantasma, & Hijo del Tirantes.

- El Brazo & Rayo de Jalisco Sr. were both inducted in the AAA Hall of Fame tonight at Triplemania which I must have missed all of those Rayo Sr. matches in AAA. Rayo Jr. was there of course to accept on behalf of his father. Perro Aguayo Jr. came out and ran down Rayo which led to a battle before Blue Demon Jr. helped Rayo run out the Perros.

4. Steel Cage Match where the loser must get shaved or unmasked: El Mesias left Electroshock in the ring to get shaved and Mesias subbed for Jeff Jarrett. Order of Elimination: La Parka Jr./Averno/Blue Demon Jr./Chessman/El Mesias. This was a total bloodbath full of wild spots including Mesias jumping off the cage and Electro's white outfit turning blood red.

5. Mascara contra Caballera: Psycho Clown defeated Hijo del Texano in another bloodbath full of table spots and unprotected chair shots to the head. There was a funny spot here where during some runins El Fantasma who is a commissioner in the DF had to kick out his own son. Texano got his head shaved in the ring afterwards.

6. 4 Way Dance por la Copa Triplemania XXII: Perro Aguayo Jr. beat Myzteziz after a foule to win the Copa. This was another match filled with blood as Doc's bad shoulder injury got reopened and Myzteziz juiced like crazy. Cibernetico chokeslammed Wagner to eliminate him then he got eliminated by a Mistica. After the match, El Patron came out and got into a brawl with Perrito where he used his jujigatame before Perrito ducked out. The show ended with Patron as the conquering hero.

- The big news of the show actually came after the main event where Rey Misterio Jr. sent in a taped video talking about starting in AAA and then the feed went off so we don't really know what all he said afterwards.

- Jeff Jarrett & Ricochet both missed Triplemania tonight due to issues with their airline providers and both apologized on Twitter. Jarrett said that he never missed a show in 28 years because of travel problems.

Update on Rey Mysterio Appearing for AAA

According to f4wonline.com, Rey Mysterio will not be attending the TripleMania event on Sunday. Mysterio is still under a WWE contract, and WWE would not want him attending the show as it will be in direct competition on Sunday with Summerslam.

Rey Mysterio Likely to Appear at Sunday’s TripleMania Event

According to Steve Sims at F4WOnline.com, here is the latest on Rey Mysterio. During a recent edition of Figure Four Weekly, Sims noted that Mysterio had been invited to Sunday's TripleMania event. At this time, it is only a scheduled appearance, and he is not expected to wrestle. Mysterio is looking to get out of WWE, but as previously reported, WWE feels that he owes them a year because of the time he's been off due to injuries. Mysterio is still a WWE employee, but rumors are that he stopped cashing his WWE checks, and there were rumblings that the situation could potentially become a legal issue.

Opinionated View- Well this could get interesting. Stay tuned.

AAA Triplemania XXII Airing on IPPV

Mexican promotion AAA issued the following press release today:
Triplemania XXII will be on PPV and iPPV
Mexico City, July 31st, 2014 - The biggest event in Mexican wrestling, Triplemanía XXII, is just around the corner; and this is the moment when AAA's biggest rivalries reach their climax! On August 17th at 18:00 CT, Arena Ciudad de Mexico will be at its capacity, buzzing with emotions, with fans eager for a unique experience never before seen in any venue within Mexico.
This year, in order to accommodate the millions of AAA and Lucha Libre fans around the world, AAA will make Triplemanía XXII available on Pay-Per-View via SKY within Mexico in both SD and HD formats, as well as via internet-Pay-Per-View for fans around the world. IPPV is available for pre-order now by visiting www.luchalibreaaa.com.
With Triplemanía XXII being the seventh edition of their largest annual event to be broadcast via PPV on SKY which also broadcasts major company events such as Rey de Reyes and Guerra de Titanes, AAA arguably remains the most successful Mexican Lucha Libre promotion with PPV presence in the world.
AAA's first PPV was the historic and very successful event, When Worlds Collide, held live in front of over 13,000 screaming fans on November 6, 1994 in Los Angeles, California. At that event, Eddie Guerrero and Love Machine had their heads shaved after losing their Hair vs Hair match, and El Perro Aguayo defeated the legendary Konnan in a bloody steel cage fight. The event was also highlighted by the participation of Chris Benoit, 2 Cold Scorpio, Tito Santana, WWE Superstar Rey Misterio Jr (Rey Mysterio in WWE), and many others.
Now, 20 years later, AAA brings the world another historic "must see" event with Triplemanía XXII. Don't miss this opportunity to witness history in the making as enemies collide, stars are born, and legends rise!

AAA Triplemania 2013 Results

AAA had a disastrous night with their iPPV of Triplemania XXI on UStream as the show never aired at all, the screen was black the whole time and the promotion tweeted on their account that UStream was to blame for this inconvenience. There is no word on if the show will air as a replay or whether any refunds will be given but this was a complete debacle.
AAA inducted Abismo Negro in their Hall of Fame tonight with his family and Mini Abismo Negro being there to accept on his behalf. A well deserved honor for someone who was a key performer in the promotion for close to 15 years.

AAA 6/16 Results- Arena Ciudad de Mexico City (Triplemania XXI)

1. Elegido/Fabi Apache/Dinastia/Pimpinela Escarlata beat Silver Kain/Taya Valkyrie/Mini Abismo Negro/Black Mamba

3. 5 Way Dance por el AAA Tag Titles: Crazy Boy & Joe Lider beat Drago & Fenix to win the titles. Order of Elimination: Angelico & Jack Evans/Los Mamitos (Mr. E & Sexy B)/Halloween & Psicosis Original/Drago & Fenix - After the match Vampiro made his return and presented the titles that he vacated with Joe Lider to Joe & Crazy Boy. Konnan then came out and got into a verbal debate with Vamp teasing a future match.

4. Jeff Jarrett/Monster Pain/Matt Morgan defeated The Psycho Circus (Monster Clown/Murder Clown/Psycho Clown) with La Bruja Karen verbally fighting with Marisela Pena being the story here.

5. AAA Mega Heavyweight Title: Hijo del Texano beat Heavy Metal to retain his title. Ray Mendoza Jr. came out after the match and formally challenged Texano to a shot at the title but said that he would need time to get in condition since he is "retired."

6. Decision Match por el AAA Latin America Heavyweight Title: Blue Demon Jr. defeated El Mesias to win the title in a tecnico style match that the crowd didn't really care for. L.A. Par-K made his return and presented Demon the title that he vacated and said that even though he left AAA he could come back if he wanted to. Everyone hugged afterwards.

7. Dr. Wagner Jr./Electroshock/Octagon/La Parka Jr. beat Canek/Mascara Ano Dos Mil/Universo Dos Mil/Villano IV in a match full of interference from Dorian Roldan who was helping the anti-AAA guys even though they really didn't want his help. Erick "El Goyito" Perez did accompany Octagon but did nothing.

8. Caballera contra Caballera: Perro Aguayo Jr. defeated Cibernetico in a wild bloody brawl filled with weapons, ref bumps, Perros & Bizarros running out and getting stretchered out before Perrito pinned Ciber after a Lanza. Perrito dedicated the match to Hector Garza who was honored before the match in a video package and all the fathers on Dia del Padre. Ciber was indeed shaved bald as well in the first hair loss of his career.

AAA’s TripleMania Show Has iPPV Issues: The Show Never Aired Last Night

The iPPV debut for AAA's TripleMania event last night ended up being a disaster as the show never aired on Ustream. About 15 minutes after the start of the show, those in the company said they were aware of the issue and were working on it, but there was no feed all night long. The hope is that the show will be posted by Wednesday at 8PM ET.

AAA has announced that TripleMania XXI will be shown on their website, luchalibreaaa.com , tomorrow for free.

Opinionated View- Well AAA is now far ahead of ROH and how they handle IPPV fails.
