ROH performer joining WWE's creative staff

Jimmy Jacobs is going to work for WWE in a creative capacity. Jacobs will be starting with the company after WrestleMania, and will be written out of ROH storylines beforehand.

Opinionated View- Well I guess that it explains Jacobs suddenly being desperate to win ROH title as it will set up some kind of title vs. career match. I'm happy for Jimmy because I think he's career had stalled out. And I'm happy WWE is hiring a wrestler and not just someone from Hollywood. Problem is even if Jimmy is a good booker he will still have to deal with WWE management.

Status Update on Brad Maddox

In case you were wondering on the WWE status of Brad Maddox, he’s reportedly still under contract with the WWE. He is reportedly waiting to hear from WWE Creative to work him back into TV.

How Does Randy Orton Turn Down Ideas From WWE Creative?

The Wrestling Observer (via Wrestlezone) reports that whenever Randy Orton is given an idea by creative that he doesn’t think is right for his character, he’ll say “ask Triple H”. This is his polite way of saying no.

More Details On Releases Of WWE Creative Team Members

As previously reported, WWE released between 3-5 creative team members this week. PWInsider.com (via Wrestlezone) reports that Kevin Eck may have been one of those released. Eck worked for The Baltimore Sun before he joined WWE in 2011. He recently visited the last set of TNA Impact Wrestling tapings in New York City, but it's unknown if he was there looking for work.

WWE Makes Cutback on Creative Team

WWE is said to have let go between three to five members of their creative team last week according to a report by Mike Johnson. This was due to WWE's ongoing cutbacks on their budget. One notable name let go was Senior VP of Creative, Edward Felmann, who worked with Triple H. Felmann had been involved prior to WWE in writing & production roles with Law & Order, Married with Children, Arli$$ and other shows.

Opinionated View- Problem is it does't matter how many people on the team they change until. Vince, Stephanie, and Triple H are still calling the shots so things are doing to suck.

WWE Creative Constantly in Flux

- A F4WOnline.com report claims that there is panic within WWE concerning creative plans. Ideas are said to be changing very rapidly in recent months and long term plans are in a state of flux.

The original creative plans were to have a big match between Triple H and the Big Show after Big Show's match with Randy Orton at Survivor Series. Those plans changed to apparently book a rematch between Show and Orton in a Tables Match at TLC, hence why Show put Orton through a table on Raw some weeks ago. That plan also changed at the last minute, and WWE has now opted to book Cena vs. Orton at the PPV.

Another idea was apparently to have Big E Langston remain as a heel and feud with John Cena for the World Heavyweight title. That idea was also scrapped, and Langston has made a full face turn.

Opinionated View- Yet it all has sucked. So why would the long term plans be chaining? Its simple once they have the shows written Triple H or Vince or maybe both change it on a whim.

Are WWE Officials and Creative Having Communication Problems?

- As has been previously reported, there have been some communication issues between WWE officials and their creative team. The Cody Rhodes angle was reportedly rushed as Rhodes requested time off for his wedding and honeymoon but creative was not informed and they failed to write him off until the last minute.

In addition, Mark Henry's recovery from his recent hamstring injury failed to be communicated. One source noted that the creative team was not aware that Henry was cleared to compete until reading it online. These are said to be endemic examples of the problem between the two parts of the company.

Opinionated View- Now let me start off by saying this is the kind of story that if it were about TNA that everyone would jump all over and declare the company was dying. And to be fair WWE is a large company and this kind of stuff can and will happen. But it needs to stop if it is going on.

WWE Creative Team Member Leaves The Company

- WWE Creative Team Member David Kriezman has officially left the company. It had been previously reported that Kriezman wanted to leave earlier this summer, but WWE convinced him to stay on through SummerSlam.

Brian "Road Dogg" James Now Part of WWE Creative

Brian "Road Dogg" James is now officially part of the WWE creative team according to a report by Dave Meltzer. James had been involved in meetings the last few weeks as they wanted someone with experience in the ring involved at the meetings.

Opinionated View- Ah shouldn't that be just standard practice to have someone who has wrestled on the creative team for WRESTLING shows?

Notes on the WWE Creative Team

Notes on the current writing team structure in WWE according to a report.

Stephanie McMahon was described as having a more minimized role.

Brian "Road Dogg" James is now part of the creative team.

Michael Hayes remains part of the creative process, but isn't in the office as much and takes part in conference calls during major meetings.

David "Ranjin Singh" Kapoor's role has changed in that he delegates the work load to the writers after Vince McMahon makes any changes and works closely with TV, App and web people. This was described as more of a "show runner" position.

Ed Koskey is now the lead writer for RAW.

Ryan Ward (who was the writer for NXT) is now the lead writer of Smackdown.

Update on Writer Leaving the WWE

To follow up on reports among various wrestling media outlets this week about head writer David Kreizman giving notice, Dave Meltzer is now reporting that Kreizman has agreed to stay with the company through mid-August to continue with ideas through the Summerslam PPV. Kreizman was scheduled to finish with WWE tomorrow and was just hired as the new head writer of creative back in March.

Rumors on Script Changes to Raw on Monday

- The word going around is that Monday's Raw script was rewritten during the afternoon by Vince McMahon, due to him not being happy with the original booking of the show. McMahon reportedly consulted both Paul Heyman and Wayne Keown (Zeb Colter) for the rewrite, with some input from Stephanie McMahon.

Another Change in WWE Lead Writer?

The word among wrestlers at this week's TV Tapings is that David Kreizman, who at one point was co-head writer for All My Children and has won several Daytime Emmy Awards, has given notice that he will be leaving the company. Kreizman had been one of the top creative team members since Eric Pankowski's dismissal right before Wrestlemania. He would make the third lead writer in the last few months to leave, although the first of his own accord.

Former WWE Creative member says WWE is full of racism, sexism, and homophobia

Former WWE Creative team member Court Bauer did an interview for The Kings of Sport podcast and discussed his time in WWE. Bauer cites several instances of racism, including the treatment of stars like Kofi Kingston: "Kofi is a great example: He's a guy that really blew up, and I thought, 'this guy is going to climb that ladder; it's going to be automatic,' and then they just took a detour. You can always say 'maybe the guy got in trouble in the locker room, maybe something came up with a contract, maybe something came up with his attitude, maybe it was bad booking.' But you see it across the board.

"Vince was considering Mark [Henry] being the guy who ended The Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania 22. They do certainly hire a lot of African-Americans and they want to hire more Latinos it's just they aren't and the guys that they put in those positions—the ratio of success speaks for itself."

Bauer also talked about homophobia in WWE. "Vince is 70, it doesn't mean that's an excuse for anything. He's got a young daughter in her mid-30s. She has been on Twitter openly supporting gay marriage yet she runs a division a different way where I've heard my fair share of homophobic slurs being said about writers and stuff, especially LA writers who tend to be a little bit more dramatic. And they'd be called—'look at this [expletive] queer here.' He was straight or whatever, didn't matter, point is that was tolerated in laughter." 

WWE Creative Team Reportedly Stressed Out Heading into Raw Tonight

It has been reported that the WWE creative team is very stressed out heading into Raw tonight. Following the low rating the show got last week on Memorial Day, many in the company fear that tonight's number will also be down due to game 7 of the NBA EasternConferenceFinals.

WWE Hiring a New Creative Lead Writer

- WWE is currently seeking a new creative lead writer. If hired, the job includes building TVscriptsand developing long-term story lines as well as background story lines for new characters. WWE is requiring that anyone interested in the job have a background in reality TV, sitcoms, or character-based non-fiction.
