Cody Rhodes is expected back on TV next week. He’s been off the road since Dusty Rhodes’ passing.
– Tyson Kidd is said to be doing well following his neck surgery on June 24th. The surgery is said to have gone well and he is in less pain now than he was after his knee surgery a few years back. Natalya made a joke about him having Cena healing powers. She’s still off TV while she helps Kidd recover; she was brought to TV but wasn’t used on Raw, instead participating in a Be a STAR rally, and went home before Smackdown.

Update on Tyson Kidd’s Spinal Injury, One Year Layoff Possible

The Wrestling Observer has an update on the injured WWE Superstar and former tag team champion Tyson Kidd. Kidd sustained a spinal cord injury in his dark match with Samoa Joe before Raw last week. Kidd will likely need to undergo surgery to treat the injury, which could put him out of action for a year or possibly longer.
Tyson Kidd has reportedly received calls from WWE Hall of Famers Steve Austin and Edge, who gave him some moral support and advice. The report mentions that it is a possibility he might have to undergo a fusion surgery similar to what Austin and Edge had for their necks.
Per the report, Kidd’s injury was apparently a fluke and not a result of how Samoa Joe executed the muscle buster.

Opinionated View- Awful to hear. Kidd was finally getting a bit of push. Plus while Austin and Edge both came back it wasn't very long. I get he needs the surgery but if you need it than a good chunk of your career just got cut off.

Tyson Kidd’s Injury From Raw Taping a Spinal Cord Injury

Tyson Kidd’s injury that he suffered during his dark match with Samoa Joe was a spinal cord injury. The site reports that Kidd received medical attention after the match was over.
WWE has a new policy trying to keep injuries secretive, and Kidd’s injury appears to be one of those WWE didn’t want getting out. Kidd expects to make a full recovery and hopes to be able to avoid surgery, though there’s no timetable for a return.

Update On Possible Changes For Cesaro And Tyson Kidd

We noted before that Tyson Kidd, Cesaro and Adam Rose had been wearing calling themselves The Brass Ring Club and wearing t-shirts with a logo that was similar to New Japan Pro Wrestling's Bullet Club. The nickname and shirts were done because officials told Cesaro and Kidd to come up with an idea for their tag team. They brought up the Brass Ring Club name and people thought it was clever. No word yet if the name will be accepted for full-time use or not.

Why Sheamus/Rusev Worked Twice

The US title match between Rusev and Sheamus was originally set to happen at the Survivor Series, but a decision was made at the last minute to air it on the WWE Network instead. The RAW script was already written to feature Sheamus vs Tyson Kidd and Rusev vs Zack Ryder. Instead of hurrying to re-book the segments, they just had Sheamus and Rusev work twice.

Tyson Kidd transitioning to a masked wrestler gimmick is looking less likely at this time. While Kidd had the mask made and the gimmick change was planned, the company is now looking to transition him to a heel role.

Tyson Kidd Reportedly Getting Repackaged

- At this time, the plan is to repackage Tyson Kidd and transition him into a new masked wrestler gimmick. Kidd has already had a mask designed by a Lucha Libre mask designer. The company thinks that Kidd is a very talented performer, but the feeling is that they cannot do anything with him as "Tyson Kidd" past him being a prelim guy. This is due to the way that he has been booked. There is no confirmation that he will be pushed as a "Mexican performer," but the mask he had made is said to be a "Lucha Libre" style mask.

Opinionated View- This just seems bound for failure. Remember when they repacked Primo and Epico? They are playing second bananas to a little person dressed as a bull.

WWE Interested in Pairing Up Evan Bourne and Tyson Kidd as New Tag Team

- WWE officials are reportedly considering pairing up Evan Bourne and Tyson Kidd as a tag team. Both wrestlers have had experience as WWE tag team champions and have not had much progression in recent years. Bourne is expected to return to in-ring action in the WWE within the next month or two.

Opinionated View- Well the reason there has been no progression with Kidd is they never do anything with him. He was out injured for a while but since coming back he mainly appears on NXT and Total Divas. We have been hearing Bourne is about to return for like a year now so until I see him on TV I don't believe it.

Tyson Kidd May Get More TV Time Soon

- Tyson Kidd had a few spots at Wrestlemania 30 where he seemed to stand out and the cameras gave him attention, even in a chaotic battle royal. It's now believed that Kidd may be repackaged and given more TV time. While he will be used more often in the future, his character may be changed.

Tyson Kidd and Natalya Reportedly Married Last Night

Natalya and Tyson Kidd were apparently married last night. It was reported last week that the wedding may be featured on E!'s Total Divas reality show, and Brie Bella tweeted that she was at a wedding.

Speaking of Tyson Kidd has noted on Twitter that he still has around six months of rehab left on his leg.
