According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Authority returning to WWE TV has been planned for some time now. The move to bring them back was reportedly not a reaction to the recent low ratings for Raw. WWE’s plans have been to set up a Triple H vs. Sting match at WrestleMania 31, so bringing back the Authority allows them to start setting up that match.
Sting’s next appearance for WWE has not been confirmed, but word is that he is not expected to be a surprise entrant in the 2015 Royal Rumble match.
Opinionated View- Bullshit the reason they returned fucking EGO! Triple H and Stephanie love playing top heels that's why they did it for over a year and now here we are right back to it. If you want to set up for a Sting vs. Triple H match you can do it without doing a heel boss story and without bringing back Stephanie.

The Rock Coming Back to WrestleMania 31 For McMahon Storyline?
With rumors making the rounds that plans are being discussed for the Rock to face Triple H at WrestleMania 31, there is now speculation that WWE is considering placing that match within a storyline that was dropped for WrestleMania 30.
As you may recall (and the Wrestling Observer reminds us), there was a proposed storyline for WrestleMania 30 where Vince McMahon would have come up against the Authority in a power struggle that would have pitted Steve Austin vs. Triple H at ‘Mania 30. The Rock was viewed as the second choice if Austin wasn’t interested. The idea was dropped for a variety of reasons, including Triple H’s feud with Daniel Bryan and Vince’s desire to be off TV, and wasn’t brought up again.
Now, with the Mr. McMahon returning on Raw and teasing an issue with Triple H and Stephanie, the rumors are flying again that the reported discussions of Rock vs. HHH at ‘Mania 31 will be part of a Vince vs. Authority angle.
Opinionated View- This is everything I hate. I don't want to see the McMahon's on TV. I don't want a star from the MNW era coming back to take time from guys on the active roster. I don't wan to freaking see Triple H vs the Rock again.
