Breaking News: Taz Gone From TNA

TNA head of talent relations John Gaburick announced via Twitter that Taz is no longer with the company. "After 5+ years TNA and Taz have mutually decided to part ways," Gaburick wrote. "A champ in the ring and on the mic, we wish him nothing but success."

Taz addressed the situation on his Twitter page. "Like to thank TNA Wrestling for the opportunity to apply my craft for the past several years," he wrote. "Best wishes to them in the future."

Opinionated View- Now I'm sure the IWC is going "See this proves all the pay rumors." Ignoring the fact Taz is having a lot of success with his podcast there are rumors he could be getting a radio show. Plus 5 years in TNA nearly 30 years in wrestling in general maybe he just wants to leave.

Now I do feel this will be a hit for the company. As Taz is a very good announcers and actually calls the matches like a sport and can mix in comedy well. But Snow has been good in the past.

Vince Russo Issues Statement About Involvement with TNA

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com revealed on Tuesday that he was accidentally copied on an email by Vince Russo revealing instructions/advice for TNA's commentary team of Mike Tenay and Taz. Russo had previously avoided addressing if was working with TNA in a consulting role after reports had surfaced believing he had been.

Below is Russo's statement issued on his website Pyroandballyhoo.com.

"Recently, I accidentally sent an e-mail to a third-party that was not meant for their eyes. The e-mail concerned my current involvement with TNA Wrestling.

TNA rendered my services as a consultant to work with their announce team of Mike Tenay and Taz. The condition from their side was that I kept it confidential between the two parties. As their employee, it was up to me to honor their wishes, so that’s what I intended to do.

My integrity means everything to me, so I just hope you can understand and forgive.

Peace."

Opinionated View- As I have often said Russo never gets enough credit for the things he does right and way to much blame for anything that goes wrong. Now lets make this clear he's a consultant he's not running the show.

Note on Commentary From TNA's NYC Taping

While Taz did appear at the first night of tapings back on 6/25, TNA did not bring in Mike Tenay for all three nights of the Impact Wrestling tapings in New York City last week. All commentary work will be done in studio at the TNA headquarters in Nashville. TNA had brought in commentary team members in the past to do live shots inside the arena, but have cut back on that due to a cost cutting measure. The shows also were taped far in advance so doing live-to-tape commentary doesn't always work.

Taz Debunks Rumor He is Recruiting Talent

Earlier today it was reported by The Wrestling Observer newsletter that TNA color commentator Taz has been actively recruiting independent wrestlers for TNA and working with “Big” John Gaburick in a recruitment process.

Taz has since debunked the rumor, tweeting the the article wasn't true.

TNA Backstage News and Notes

- Taz is currently recruiting independent talent for TNA, working directly with "Big" John Gaburick.

- Tommy Dreamer will be working regularly as an agent for the company at their upcoming TV tapings.

- The One Night Only: Joker's Wild PPV, which was taped in the UK, will air between May and July. The One Night Only PPV with the Wrestle-1 promotion will likely air in August.

Broadcast team change for Impact

Taz is not at the TNA Impact Wrestling television event in Glasgow, Scotland. The TNA Twitter page states that he is "on assignment" in the United States. The broadcast team will be Mike Tenay and Jeremy Borash. Taz noted on Twitter that he is not at the show and will be tweeting during tonight's broadcast atTwitter.com/OfficialTAZ.

Taz addresses his future with the company

TNA broadcaster Taz announced that he has re-signed with the company. "I'm very proud to announce that I've re-signed with TNA Wrestling!!" Taz wrote on Twitter.com/OfficialTAZ

Rumor: Is Taz Leaving TNA to Return to WWE?

For what's it worth earlier today on Twitter Taz posted a tweet thad led many to believe he was heading back to WWE. This appears to be due the fact he mentioned big shows in New York witch both WWE and TNA will be running soon and the tweet mentioning (but not directly) the arena WWE will run.

Now again according to repots Taz's contract with TNA is due to expire soon. Some even say his last appearance could be at the Las Vegas TV tapings. Again for what its worth Taz has since deleted the tweet that set off the "news."

Opinionated View- Slow news day? There could be something to it but until we Taz off TNA or back on WWE you just don't know.
