TNA Final Resolution Report

“Final Resolution” kicks off with a special intro highlighting tonight’s event.
Magnus is looking for both Jeff Hardy and Dixie Carter in the back but the member of the staff he’s asking says he hasn’t seen either. Magnus tells them to get the message to them when they do arrive that he’s got something to say that they’ll want to hear.
Magnus comes down to the ring and he says that he loves this business and that’s why he busts his gut and puts his body through hell because of that love. He says he can’t change where he’s from but he’s proud of the fact that he’s made his living and his career for the past 5 years in America. He says there was some adjusting to do for him and the first thing he learned when he got to America was the power of money. He says that it’s not about the money for him and it’s always been about pride, honor, dignity, and respect, but he wonders if the same can be said for his opponent Jeff Hardy. A “Hardy” chant starts up and Magnus says he’s as big of a fan of Hardy as anyone. He says that Jeff “slayed” his demons but maybe there is one demon still creeping its way into Jeff’s life: greed. He says that everyone saw Jeff having drinks with Dixie last week. The footage is shown on the big screen and Magnus says Jeff Hardy owes everyone an explanation because this match tonight is the most important match of his life, and he won’t let Dixie or Jeff fool him.
Hardy comes down to the ring and Jeff tells Magnus he doesn’t even know him to be questioning his motives for anything. Magnus says this is the biggest night of his life so he won’t let any chances go so Jeff needs to explain himself. He says everyone else may have forgotten all about Jeff’s history but he hasn’t. Magnus reminds everyone about “10-10-10” when Jeff turned and went with Immortal. Jeff says that was a different time and he was a different person then. Magnus says it may have been a different time but it’s the same place, right in the middle of a ring Jeff sold his soul. Magnus says he thinks Jeff might be getting ready to do it again and he says that everyone forgave Jeff for the last time but what will all his “creatures” thing if he sells out again. Some fans start chanting “we don’t care” but Jeff screams at Magnus to worry about his own life, and not to worry about his. Jeff drops the microphone and walks to the back as a confused looking Magnus watches.
Christy Hemme is backstage with Kurt Angle and he says a lot of things have been going on since BFG. He says that Roode has had his number since BFG but tonight is the night that things change. He says he will show everyone that he still has it and he won’t just beat Roode once, he’ll beat him twice. He says that it’s only the beginning for the rest of Kurt’s career.
A video package highlighting the Roode/Angle feud is shown. We’re not warming up in the bullpen tonight, heading straight into the big 2/3 Falls Match!
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Backstage JB hypes up the reveal for the Feast or Fired cases tonight. Chavo Guerrero Jr. walks up and says there is a lot on the line tonight when Zema Ion walks up doing his stupid DJ scratching sound. Chavo reminds Zema that there is a 25% chance that he is getting fired tonight, but there is a 100% chance that if he does that sound again he’s going to get punched in the face.
2/3 Falls Match
“The IT Factor” Bobby Roode vs. “Olympic Hero” Kurt Angle
These two have been feuding pretty hardcore since BFG and Roode has seemingly had the Olympians number the entire time. Angle and Roode lockup and Roode puts Angel in a side headlock, but Angle shoves him into the ropes only to eat a shoulder block for a quick nearfall. Angle sweeps Roode’s legs and covers him for a quick nearfall as well. They lockup again and this time Angle gets Roode in the headlock, but Roode shoves Angle into the ropes only to get run over. Angle hits the ropes again and then Roode leapfrogs him. Angle stops and turns around to attempt the Olympic Slam, but Roode blocks it and goes for a TKO. Angle counters into an attempt at the Ankle Lock but Roode quickly gets to the ropes to break the hold. A “Bobby sucks” chant starts up and then they lockup for a third time but this time Roode ducks under Angle and puts him in a waistlock. Angle reverses it and then takes Roode down and holds onto the waistlock on the mat. Roode fights to his feet and break the hold with back elbows, and then he hits the ropes only to get caught with a Belly-to-Belly Overhead Suplex! Roode rolls out to the floor but Angle follows him and hits him with a forearm. Angle puts the boots to Roode on the floor and then tries to toss him back in the ring, but Roode body shots him and then tries to slam him into the guardrail. Angle blocks it and shoves Roode into the guardrail before tossing him back into the ring. Angle charges at Roode but Roode gets his boot up and then goes for a clothesline, but Angle ducks it and hits the Rolling German Suplexes! Angle goes for the Olympic Slam again but Roode counters into an armdrag. Roode then pulls the referee in front of him as Angle charged at him. Angle shoves the referee away and then Roode kicks Angle in the balls behind the referee’s back and hits the TKO! 1…2…3!
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Back from the break the second fall is ongoing and Roode connects with a clothesline on Angle. Roode hits a Vertical Suplex and then he goes for a Knee Drop, but Angle rolls out of the way and then blocks a right hand. Angle hits a series of rights and then attempts to whip Roode into the ropes, but Roode reverse it only to eat a Forearm Smash from Angle! Angle hits a series of clotheslines and then a Belly-to-Belly Overhead Suplex! Angle charges at Roode in the corner but Angle sidesteps him and Angle nails the ring post with his shoulder! Roode quickly goes for the Crossface, but Angle counters into the Olympic Slam! 1…2…3 and the match is tied up 1-1!
Roode rolls out to the floor and starts to walk away but Angle stops him and tosses him back into the ring. Rood swings at Angle but he ducks and hits the Rolling German Suplexes again! Roode blocks the third one and hits a series of elbows. Angle charges at Roode again but this time Roode catches him with the Canadian Crossface! Angle reverses into a pinfall for a nearfall, but Roode is able to roll Angle back over into a pin of his own for a nearfall. Roode then goes for a Backslide but Angle blocks it and attempts a clothesline only to get caught in the Crossface again! Roode screams at Angle to tap but Angle is able to again counters into a pinfall attempt, but Roode rolls back over into the Crossface. Angle again fights out and up to his feet this time and into an Olympic Slam attempt. Roode counters into a Flying Armbar and Roode goes right back to the Crossface! Angle’s lip is busted open as he fights the hold. Angle frees his arm and grabs Roode’s ankle countering into the Ankle Lock! Roode is able to fight to the ropes but Angle pulls him back and puts Roode in his own Crossface! Roode looks like he’s about to tap but is able to fight up to his feet and counter into an attempt at the TKO again! Roode blocks it and hits the Olympic Slam! 1…2…NO Roode kicks out! Roode rolls out to the floor and Kurt follows him knocking him down. Angle tosses Roode back into the ring and Roode tries to crawl back out but Angle catches him by the foot and pulls him back to the center of ht erring in the Ankle Lock! Roode counters with a roll through into a pin! Roode holds onto the ropes, 1…2…3!
Winner: Roode 2 falls to 1
JB again hypes up the Feast or Fired reveal backstage. Gunner and James Storm walk up and JB asks Gunner about stepping over Storm to win the briefcase. Gunner says Storm would have done the same thing to him and Storm says they’ll see if his gamble paid off. Storm reminds Gunner that he might be fired but Gunner says “maybe not” and walks away.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Back from the break highlights of the 2/3 Falls Match are shown and then Angle is shown in the back in disbelief at his loss. Angle says Roode isn’t out wrestling him but he continues to outsmart him over and over. Angle says he gives Roode credit but his pride won’t let him admit that Roode has his number. Angle says he doesn’t know what to do and he needs to think about what his next move is. He says he just doesn’t know.
A vignette highlighting Gail Kim and Madison Rayne’s history is shown. Madison says she’s back now and she’s coming for that Knockouts Title.
JB again hypes up the Feast or Fired reveal as EC3 walks up and says JB owes him a match. EC3 says he’s a carter and the only pink slip Carter’s get are the ones for a fleet of cars. EC3 reminds us that he knows the people in charge around here even if he got the pink slip.
EC3 talks to Dixie on the phone but she says that she can’t do anything about this because even she doesn’t even know what’s in the briefcases and there is nothing she can do about it.
Backstage EY talks about the Abyss issues and he says the experiment continues tonight. He holds up a gift that’s obviously a chair wrapped up and says he has some gifts for Park tonight.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Eric Young comes down to the ring where a table is set up with some presents as a vignette airs showcasing the Abyss/Park stuff. EY asks Joseph Park to come out and he obliges EY. EY again says Park is Abyss but Park says this past week has all been a blur to him and he doesn’t know what to believe. Park says that his name is Joseph Park but EY reminds him about him turning into Abyss last week and every time he bleeds. Park says he blacks out when that happens and that is Joseph Park not Abyss. EY says they’re going to try a new two part science experiment. He says one part of it is next week he will face Bad Influence in a Monsters Ball Match! Park says that EY has lost it because that is his brothers match not Park’s. Park refuses to do the match and EY says he knew he would say that and here comes the second part of the experiment.
He hands Park one of the presents and it’s a steel chair and Park says he uses those in a courtroom. He hands Park another one and this time it’s a bag of thumbtacks. The last present is unwrapped and it’s a bunch of barbed wire. Park says he appreciates all this but it doesn’t do anything for him and he’s going to stick to his original answer, and the answer is no, he won’t be a part of the Monsters Ball. EY says he saved the best present for last and tells him it’s under the ring. Park pulls Janice, the 2x4 with nails in it, out from under the ring. Park stares at it and then he says “I’ll do it” and walks off while still staring at Janice.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Samoa Joe walks into Jeff Hardy’s locker room and Joe says there is no reason for Hardy to look as down as he does right now unless what Magnus said struck a nerve. Joe says he understands and with everyone doing whatever they can to get ahead he can understand a shortcut, but he never thought Jeff was that type of person to take that bait. Jeff says if Joe is looking for an explanation to his meeting with Dixie he isn’t getting one, and nobody is.
JB is with the Feast or Fired winners as they are about to reveal who won (or lost) what. Dixie Carter walks in and welcomes everyone to this. They are doing this almost like its The Apprentice or something with some corny music playing in the background. JB says only the law firm of Smith & Stone know the contents of the briefcases and the order that they will be revealed. Zema Ion is up first and his shot is for the X-Division Title!
Next up is Gunner and he will receive a World Heavyweight Title shot! Gunner and Storm stare each other down and then Gunner simply walks away with Storm following behind looking pissed. Chavo and EC3 are left and one of these two will get a Tag Title shot while the other is fired. Before either opens the briefcase Sting walks in which pisses Dixie off. Sting says he asked EC3 to do something great and now his legacy is on the line, and then Sting says EC3 and the word “legacy” in the same sentence makes him nauseous. He says that what Dixie is doing to TNA also makes him nauseous. Sting asks Chavo if he ever had anything handed to him and he says that the Guerrero’s have had to work twice as hard to get what they’ve got. Sting says that the Guerrero name is wrapped in legacy and reminds EC3 there is a 50/50 chance that he’s about to be fired. Sting offers EC3 a way out and says he will take the fate of whatever is in that case if EC3 will fight him. EC3 says he’ll take the briefcase instead and Sting calls him a coward before leaving.
Chavo and EC3 open their briefcases at the same time and EC3 gets the title shot while Chavo gets the pink slip. Sting consoles Chavo while EC3 and Dixie celebrate. Sting screams at Dixie and says that this is the beginning of the end for EC3 and Dixie disgusts him. Dixie laughs as Sting walks out of the room and says Sting is so overly dramatic. Chavo is left with his head in his hands as they walk out.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Backstage Magnus is getting ready for the World Title match and he says there are a lot of questions about Jeff but he doesn’t seem to want to answer any of them. Magnus says his focus is on the World Title.
Lei’D Tapa & Gail Kim vs. ODB & Madison Rayne
This is our first chance to see Madison back in the ring since she left TNA earlier in the year due to pregnancy. Tapa grabs Madison by the throat as the bell rings and tosses her back. Tapa charges at her but Madison ducks her and locks in a waistlock. Tapa simply tosses Madison to the side and then she grabs Madison by the hair but Madison kicks her in the gut. Tapa swings at her but Madison rolls underneath her and then tags ODB into the match. ODB and Tapa lockup and Tapa forces ODB into the corner. They separate but then Tapa swings at ODB but ODB ducks and lights Tapa up with chops. ODB tries to whip Tapa but Tapa blocks it and kicks ODB. Tapa hits a Scoop Slam and then tags in Gail. Gail puts the boots to ODB and tosses ODB into the corner. Gail puts the boots to her again and then hits a Corner Splash before slamming ODB to the mat by her hair. Gail forearms ODB and then whips her into the corner, but ODB explodes out of the corner with a clothesline. ODB whips Gail into the corner and then hits a splash. ODB tries to knock Tapa off the apron but Tapa shrugs it off and grabs ODB by the hair. ODB forearms Tapa and then slams her into the top turnbuckle only to eat a running dropkick from Gail! Gail tags Tapa in and then stands on ODB’s head while Tapa grabs ODB. Tapa lifts ODB up and hits an over the sholder Backbrekaer! Tapa puts the boots to ODB and then chokes her in the ropes. ODB tries to fight Tapa off but Tapa tosses her into the ropes and connects with a Big Boot. Tapa drags ODB back to the corner and tags in Gail who covers ODB for a nearfall. Gail hits a European Uppercut and then chokes ODB in the corner with her boot. Gail whips ODB into the opposite corner and then goes for a Splash but ODB moves and then hits Gail with a Press Slam! ODB makes the hot tag to Madison and she runs Gail over with a series of clotheslines and then she tosses Gail across the ring. Gail hits another clothesline and then attempts to whip Gail into the ropes, but Gail reverses it only to eat a Spear from Madison! Madison slams Gail’s head into the mat repeatedly but then Tapa runs in and pulls Madison off. ODB jumps on Tapa’s back and then Tapa flips ODB off her back over the top rope to the floor! Tapa follows her to the outside and Gail hits a Shortarm Clothesline on Madison! Gail talks trash to Madison and then goes for the Eat Defeat but Madison counters into a backslide! 1…2…3!
Winners: ODB & Madison via pinfall (backslide)
Sting approaches Jeff Hardy in the back and Jeff says he hopes this isn’t going to be another lecture but Sting says he just wants to talk to Jeff. Sting says he know what it’s like to be second guessed and Jeff doesn’t owe anyone an answer. Sting says he has to stay true to himself but Jeff says Sting doesn’t fully understand. Sting says he does and then walks away.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
A video of Rockstar Spud trying to explain himself to Dixie last week on Impact 365 is shown. Dixie is freaking out about AJ still having the World Title and she tells Spud to find someone that can make them a World Title belt quickly.
A video package highlighting the World Title Tournament is shown.
Jeff Hardy walks out and says Magnus talks about Hardy doing what he did at 10-10-10 and it was nice having the power but everyone knows how that thing ended at Victory Road 2011. He says those mistakes will not be repeated. Jeff says he did meet with Dixie Carter and he thought about his past but more importantly he thought about his future, his wife, and his daughter. Jeff says he loves entertaining the fans and that Dixie wanted to corrupt him with money and power, but he knows what also come along with that it would mean that she would own him. Jeff says no one owns him and he told Dixie that she could take her money and stick it. He says he’s going to win the World Title and represent it like AJ Styles but then Dixie’s music interrupts him.
Dixie says if Jeff wants to compare himself to AJ Styles they can do that right now. She says just like AJ everything he and his family have he owes to her. Dixie says she is in the one that stood by Jeff after all of his mistakes and he says he appreciated that but Dixie screams at him not to interrupt her again. Dixie says she stood by him not the “pathetic creatures” and fans who abandoned him. Dixie says Jeff needs to think is best for her company and not what is best for his wife and little girl. She says if he doesn’t he can be out of a job just like AJ Styles. Dixie asks who will sell Jeff’s merchandise and his CDs and artwork. She says Jeff needs Dixie a lot more than she needs him.

12/5 Impact Wrestling Report

-Kurt Angle kicks off Impact Wrestling and calls out Magnus, questioning his knee injury in last week's main event. Magnus says his knees kept buckling, so he had to leave the match. Angle tells him that real champions fight through injuries, and doesn't know if Magnus has what it takes to be TNA World Champion. Magnus says he has heart, but Bobby Roode's music hits, and Roode says it takes more than heart to become champ. He says you need a killer instinct, like hitting your best friend with a beer bottle to become champion. Jeff Hardy comes out and tells Roode he's going to put him through a table tonight, and become world heavyweight champion.
TABLES MATCH
JEFF HARDY vs. BOBBY ROODE
The two brawl in the ring early on, until the action spills to the floor. Hardy goes for a table, but Roode attacks from behind and rolls both Hardy and a table into the ring. Hardy tries for a DDT, but Roode floats over and turns him inside-out with a clothesline. Roode into the corner but Hardy rolls out of the way; Whisper in the Wind attempt, but Jeff comes up empty, almost putting himself through the table. They slowly fight to the ring apron, but both of them go through a table on the floor at the same time. Referee Brian Hebner looks on in confusion as we go to a commercial break.

Back from break, and senior referee Earl Hebner has made a decision that because they went through the table at the same time, a decision has not been made, and the match will continue. Hardy turns around into a huge spinebuster. Roode hoists his opponent up with a fireman's carry, but Hardy reverses and hits a Twist of Fate that puts Bobby on the table. Hardy goes up high, but Roode rolls off the table, and Jeff hits the Swanton Bomb over the table anyways. They fight up to the top turnbuckle, teasing going through tables on either side of the ring, but Roode settles for crotching Hardy on the ropes. Bobby Roode tries for a suplex to the outside, but Hardy breaks out of it and kicks Roode off the apron and through the table.
Decision: Jeff Hardy wins and advances to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship tournament finals.
-Dixie Carter is backstage in an #Impact365 video that we posted earlier this week, saying that she's getting her title back.
-Ethan Carter III is out, and says that he's faced legends from all over the world. But there's one man that has been in the ring with the likes of Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, and Bret "The Hitman" Hart. That's why tonight his hand-picked opponent is… Earl Hebner! Hebner says he's not a wrestler. EC3 has Rockstar Spud bring out Brian Hebner to referee the match. Carter tells Hebner to lay down on the mat, or he will put him into the ground forever.
ETHAN CARTER III vs. EARL HEBNER
EC3 puts a finger on Earl and tells Brian Hebner to count. He does so very slowly, and Carter picks up the easy win.
Decision: EC3 wins via pinfall.

Christy Hemme is out on a date with Sam Shaw, a former Gut Check contestant. She goes to the bathroom, and Shaw threatens to kill the waiter for looking at his girl.
-Dixie Carter has a delivery backstage and gets excited, but it's just flowers from a fan.
-Dixie Carter announces a Feast or Fired match for next week's Impact Wrestling, for people who were left out of the world title tournament. One person will get a World Championship match, one an X-Division title match, one a Tag Team Championship match, with one unlucky star getting fired.
-Bad Influence comes out and says they have some proof they want to show Joseph Park. Park comes out and rips up their envelope, but Kazarian throws it the guys backstage. In a pre-recorded video, Bad Influence are at the law offices of Park, Park & Park. They go into his "office", but it's completely empty. A secretary says that law firm closed 13 years ago, and didn't leave any forwarding address. Back in the ring, Daniels is asking what Park has been doing for the past 13 years. They spit in his face and call him a liar, before beating him down in the middle of the ring. EY comes out to make the save, and chases off Bad Influence. Young challenges them to a tag team match.
THE BROMANS vs. JAMES STORM & GUNNER
Jessie slaps a rest hold on Gunner and hammers away with elbows, before chocking him in the ropes. DJ Zema Ion is at ringside, doing his thing. Gunner comes back with a fall-away slam and makes the tag to James Storm, who runs through Jessie with a series of clotheslines. A flying forearm connects, followed by an Atomic Drop and a running neckbreaker. Robbie E gets tossed off the apron and Storm hits Jessie with the Last Call Superkick. Robbie sprays beer all over Gunner, and they brawl around the ring while Storm is trying to pin Jessie. The referee gets thrown aside, and this causes a disqualification.
Decision: The BroMans win via disqualification.

-Sting tries to get in to see Kurt Angle, but Rockstar Spud won't let him in. He asks who Sting who he is, and there's some jokes about the singer. Sting tells him to go find Dixie Carter and have her make him leave.
-Gail Kim is kissing her husband, chef Robert Irvine in an #Impact365 video, and JB tries to get a word in. Robert tells them not to bother them until TNA can find somebody who can actually beat the Knockouts Champion.
GAIL KIM OPEN INVITATIONAL
GAIL KIM vs. LAURA DENNIS
Laura Dennis is popular independent worker Cherry Bomb. Gail puts the boots to Laura as the crowd chants for "ODB" right off the bat. Gail with a splash in the corner. The picking apart of Laura continues for several minutes, until she gets in a few left hands, followed by a clothesline. She tries for a pinfall, but gets a count of two. Gail takes her down with a big boot out of the corner and hits Eat Defeat for the 1-2-3.
Decision: Gail Kim wins via pinfall.
Gail hits another Eat Defeat after the match as the crowd chants "you suck". Lei'd Tapa lifts up Laura for her finisher, but ODB hits the ring and brawls with the big woman. ODB takes her over the top rope with a huge clothesline, and Gail Kim backs her girl off.
-Dixie Carter's package has arrived.

LAST MAN STANDING MATCH
MAGNUS vs. KURT ANGLE
Angle goes for the Ankle Lock early, but Magnus rolls out of the way. Magnus looks to be getting the better of an early exchange, as Kurt is wearing down quicker, likely due to recent matches with Bobby Roode. Angle ducks under a clothesline and both men are down after a big collision in the middle of the ring. They cut to a really terrible commercial break right as they get up and start exchanging right hands.
After the break, there's a short segment with Dixie Carter getting a package that, we assume, has the world title in it. Back in the ring, Kurt nails his third straight German suplex. Magnus gets up at a count of seven, and they brawl to the floor. Angle teases a German suplex off the apron, but Magnus fights his way out and drops an elbow to the floor. After selling on the ground for what seems like forever, Angle tries for a moonsault but comes up empty. Magnus with a big suplex, and now he hits a flying elbow drop from the top turnbuckle. Angle gets up to his feet at a count of nine, and the referee takes a bump. Angle tries to revive the referee, but Bobby Roode attacks him from behind. Roode with a fireman's carry neckbreaker, and the ref comes to in time to count out Kurt Angle.
Decision: Magnus wins and moves on to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship tournament finals.
-Bobby Roode attacks Angle after the match, but Jeff Hardy makes the save. The two brawl around the ring until Hardy dumps Roode to the outside and he retreats. Magnus and Jeff Hardy stand face-to-face, and shake hands as the two will face off for the world title at Final Resolution.
-Backstage Dixie Carter says "like" about a dozen times and Rockstar Spud opens up her package. It turns out there's just a cardboard cut-out of a championship with a TNA logo on it. Dixie Carter freaks out and says "game on" as Impact goes off the air.
-AJ Styles appears in a "Friends of Dixie" video package, and says now she has a piece of paper to put on her paper champion. He holds up the real world championship, and tells Dixie Carter to come and take it from him.

TNA Impact Wrestling Spoilers from 12/4 Taping

Impact Wrestling Tapings: 12/4/13
Xplosion Tapings:
Zema Ion defeated The Ultimate Tiger (not sure who was under the mask).
New commentary team of Jeremy Borash and Pat Kenney: Samoa Joe defeated Kazarian.
Impact Wrestling Tapings for December 26, 2013:
Show begins with Rockstar Spud marching happily to the ring. He talks about what a great night it was last week when Magnus became Dixie's champion. He then introduces Dixie to the ring. Dixie talks about being glad that Magnus is champion, and that Jeff Hardy didn't win. She also has a huge announcement to make. Jeff Hardy interrupts and comes to the ring. Jeff mentions that he was disappointed that he didn't win, but glad that he was not under Dixie's control. EC3 then interrupts and comes to the ring to attack Hardy. EC3 is backing up Dixie, and clears the way for Dixie to make her announcement. However, Sting interrupts and comes to the ring. Sting mentions that he is tired of all of this. He says for Dixie to give the fans what they want in AJ Styles, but he also wants to get a match with EC3. Sting says that he wants a tag match. Jeff Hardy & Sting v. Rockstar Spud & EC3. Dixie says that it is her company, and Sting does not have control. She said that these people are her people, and she knows what they want. Dixie says she has an idea of a match. A tag match with Jeff Hardy & Sting facing Rockstar Spud & EC3. Sting leaves and Dixie starts to make her announcement again. However, Gunner interrupts and says that since he has a World Title shot from his Feast or Fired Case, that he wants to claim it against Magnus.
*I assume that the Feast or Fired cases are being revealed in a taped segment before this show. Gunner has the World Title shot. The other cases are with EC3, Chavo, and Zema Ion. EC3 and Zema Ion have been shown on TV after the case revealing, so I would assume Chavo received the firing. However, no indication has been made between EC3 and Zema Ion having the X or Tag Title shots.*
James Storm interrupts and him and Gunner get in an argument based on past occurences. Gunner asks James if he really wanted to get slammed on the barbed wire. Dixie is still standing watching the time, trying to make her announcement. James Storm says that he wants a match with Gunner tonight. Dixie says that they'll get their match, and that she'll make her announcement later in the night.
James Storm v. Gunner: Match goes to the outside and results in a double countout brawl.
Jeff Hardy & Sting v. EC3 & Rockstar Spud: Before the match, Dixie comes on video and says that while she said Sting could have the match tonight. She forgot to mention that it was a Handicap match. The Bromans, Robbie E and Jesse Godderz, are added to EC3 & Rockstar Spud's team. Dixie also makes her announcement of there being a coronation for her new champion Magnus next week.
EC3, Rockstar Spud, & The Bromans defeat Jeff Hardy and Sting with Jeff Hardy taking the pinfall.
After the match, Jeff Hardy gets on the mic and says how sorry he is for his actions as of late. Dixie has gotten in his head, and driven him to not live up to his potential. He says that he cannot take it any longer. He apologizes to Sting, and says that he is leaving TNA Wrestling. Jeff says that he will never again take one step into a TNA building.
Impact Wrestling Tapings for January 2, 2014:
Gail Kim and Lai'D Tapa come to the ring. Gail says that with the new year, it brings a new opponent in the Gail Kim Open Challenge. She says that there is no one worthy, but Madison Rayne comes out.
Madison Rayne defeated Gail Kim and celebates waving as she goes up the ramp.
Kurt Angle comes to the ring and talks about how 2013 just was not his year. He says that not only did he not live up to his potential in the ring, but he also had personal problems. However, he is going to lay out how he is going to fix this. Bobby Roode interrupts and asks Kurt if he is going to quit just like Jeff Hardy. Kurt says that is the last thing he is going to do. Kurt says he wants One More Match with Bobby Roode. Bobby says that it is not going to happen, and goes to leave. He stops, though, and says that Kurt can have the match if he puts his career on the line. Kurt agrees and the match is made for Genesis on January 16, 2014. They then begin to brawl, but security stops them. Rockstar Spud comes out and says, as Chief of Staff, he is going to protect Dixie's night. He tells them that they will have a tag match later on in the show.
Samuel Shaw comes to the ring dressed in nice street clothes for a match with Norv Fernum. He motions for Christy to leave the ring, and holds the ropes for her. Samuel defeats Norv, and after the match he talks with Christy, while she makes a thoughtful face. However, she also seems disturbed.
A video is shown of Kurt trying to find a partner in Gunner. While he is speaking to Gunner, James Storm comes in and asks what is going on. Gunner says that he is going to team with Kurt tonight, and Storm says fine. He'll show them.
Kurt comes to the ring, and is followed by Gunner. Gunner is interviewed on the ramp by Jeremy Borash, and says that if James Storm does not watch out, he will get hurt.
James Storm & Bobby Roode defeat Kurt Angle & Gunner. Kurt and Bobby get into a brawl after the match, however, Bobby backs away.
The coronation for Magnus is Dixie's main event of the evening. Rockstar Spud, as Chief of Staff, begins the coronation. There are potted plans, a flower wreath, potted plants, and a throne in the ring. Spud introduces Dixie's nephew EC3 who talks about how great it is to have a champ like Magnus. He then introduces Dixie Carter. Dixie comes to the ring and talks about how thrilled she is to have Magnus as her champ. Crowd is very loud booing, chanting USA, and We Want AJ. She knows that he will never leave her. Magnus is then introduced and comes to the ring. Magnus sits in the throne, and begins to talk by saying 'Your Champion is Speaking'. He talks about defeating Jeff Hardy, and being Dixie's champion while Gunner interrupts. Gunner says that he wants his World Title shot right now. Dixie says that it is not going to happen tonight. Gunner leaves, and then AJ Styles enters through the crowd. The Impact Zone is erupting with AJ's return. AJ still has his title belt, and says how he wants a Unification Match with Magnus at Genesis on January 16. Dixie says that it is not going to happen, however, Magnus says that it better or he will leave. Magnus says that he knows he can beat AJ, and wants Dixie to give him a one-night contract for the match. However, if AJ loses, he will be gone. Dixie asks, 'But what if you lose?'. Magnus makes Dixie book the match, and she agrees. Magnus and AJ both pose with their belts in the ring, and then Magnus leaves up the ramp with Dixie. AJ ends the show by posing with his title belt.

TNA News and Notes

- TNA has added three more Impact Wrestling tapings to their schedule next month. Currently, they have December 3-5 booked at the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida. The last set of Impact tapings take the company through December 12.

With the Final Resolution special set for December 19 and the Genesis special set for January 2014 and being live and on the road, many thought that any new specials would be live. But with the tournament final match set for Final Resolution, and TNA taping three episodes of TV in early December, it appears that will not be the case. If two episodes are taped in December, TNA will have to schedule another taping prior to Genesis for January 2 and 9. The likeliest scenario will be TNA taping four episodes of Impact Wrestling between December 3 and 5. This will bring TNA up to date until Genesis set for January 16. This would give the roster time to rest over the holidays and then get ready for the 2014 UK Tour.

- Two matches announced for TNA Final Resolution on December 19 include Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match and the finals of the TNA World Heavyweight Championship tournament.

- Regarding TNA's plans to bring back AJ Styles to likely face the winner of the championship tournament at Final resolution, his return will likely be taped if TNA will not be holding another live TV show until Genesis. If such is the case, his in-ring return will likely take place at Genesis.

Impact Wrestling Taping Results for Thanksgiving and December (SPOILERS)

https://www.facebook.com/RealWrestlingNewsAndOpinionatedViews

Thanksgiving Episode:

* There was a dinner table set up in the ring. Dixie Carter came out then introduced Rockstar Spud, who I presume is her assistant now. Crowd was heavily booing so couldn't quite make it out. They announced Magnus/Angle would be a Last Man Standing match and Hardy/Roode would be a tables match. She also said tonight there will be a winner winner Turkey Dinner where the winners tonight will be a part of the feast. Dixie also had EC3 come out and the two spoke, talked about there being nothing better than being a Carter and EC3 was ready to wrestle his next tough opponent.

* Ethan Carter III defeated Curry Man. Curry Man spoke briefly before the match but EC3 cut him off. He won with his headlock driver.

* We saw a backstage segment of Bromans & Zema Ion talking. Eric Young and ODB walk up. He said he is running the turkey bowl now and said they will do a tag match with two turkey suits. EY said they were wrestling this guy but it was some random backstage guy who declined. He then pointed at Dewey Barnes and Norv Fernum. Losers wear the turkey suit.

* Eric Young and ODB came out with the turkey suits. Zema Ion came out and he had DJ equipment. He introduces Bromans with his DJ equipment.

* Bromans beat Dewey Barnes and Norv Fernum pretty easily following a Hart Attack on Norv. They made them wear the turkey suits and made them do the turkey dance. Eric Young and ODB did with them.

* We had the "winner winner turkey dinner" and all of the winners came out including Bobby Roode, Bad Influence, Chris Sabin, Velvet Sky, Gail Kim, Lei'd Tapa Bromans and Zema Ion. (Not sure why EC3 wasn't out if he had won a match.) Spud welcomed them all. Roode said this is a table for winners only to Sabin. He said Roode was right and told Velvet she had to leave. He asked Zema to take a seat. Roode said to feast your red on true winners. They would like to thank Dixie for their careers in Impact Wrestling. Roode asks what they are thankful for. Daniels says he is for his intelligence being handsome and being well endowed. Kazarian is thankful that Joe Park is not ere to drink the gravy or fornicate the pumpkin pie and says he is glad to be here with Daniels and Roode. Gail says she is thankful for Lei'd Tapa and being the most dominant Knockout. Sabin says he is thankful for the beautiful luxurious…hair on his head and being the greatest x division champion of all time. Robbie E says he and Bromans are thankful for Phil Heath and the new resident DJ for TNA and new member of the Bromans Zema Ion. He says they are thankful for not wearing the turkey suits and being the best tag team champions of all time. Roode says he is thankful for being the it factor and the upcoming world heavyweight champion and beating Kurt Angle. He says let's feast. Kurt Angle's music hits. Roode challenges him to get in the ring and take them all on. He said Roode isn't alone and neither is he. ODB, EY, Storm, Gunner, Velvet come out and a big food fight erupts.

December 5, 2013 Episode:

* Kurt Angle/Magnus promo. They spoke about why it is important for each of them to win. Roode interrupted them and made his case as did Hardy shortly after. This segwayed into the first of the two semifinal matches.

* In a Semifinal Tables Match, Jeff Hardy defeated Bobby Roode in a tables match. Both guys went through a table at one point and the match was restarted. Roode was on the apron and Hardy kicked him off trough the table on the floor to win the match.

* In a Gail Kim open challenge, she defeated Cherry Bomb. She and Tapa went to attack her after until ODB made the save and the two of them bailed.

* In a Semifinal Last Man Standing Match, Magnus beat Kurt Angle. Ref bump led to Roode coming out and laying out Angle. Magnus made it to his feet to win the match. Roode put the boots to Angle until Hardy made the save. He and Magnus had a stare down after.

December 12, 2013 Episode:

* A graphic is up for Final Resolution on December 19th. There was a table set up in the ring with a wheel and four briefcases. They are about to spin the wheel to find out what the stipulation would be for the finals. Angle interrupted and called out Roode for a fight. Roode said he is the one who should be phased off. He said he can beat him any day of the week. He has nothing left to prove. Angle says right now and the two got into a brawl at ringside until refs broke it up. Roode broke through and kicked Angle low. He said that if Angle thinks he can beat him twice in one night then at Final Resolution it will be Angle vs Roode 2/3 Falls.

* Dixie came out and spoke. Said AJ Styles is a major headache to her. There were heavy boos again so couldn't quite make out what she said. She said next week she will get a new world heavyweight champion. Magnus comes out followed by Jeff Hardy. She wanted to see if they had any final words for each other. Hardy said he won the BFG Series last year and the world title. Called 2012 his year. In one week we the creatures will take the heavyweight championship again. Magnus said he might be young but he is not stupid. He says these are his people. He is the top guy. Next week he is nothing besides the final obstacle. If he is going to be the #1 guy he has to beat the #1 guy. He intends to do that. They shake hands. Dixie says there is a special match. "Dixieland". Whichever one wins they will travel the world with her in her private jet and whatnot. She said another couple things and the segment was done.

Xplosion:

* Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez defeated Bad Influence with a doomsday crossbody on Daniels.

* Chris Sabin w/Velvet Sky defeated Eric Young.

11/14 TNA Impact Wrestling Report

Impact opens up with highlights from last week focusing on the World Title Tournament and last weeks intense Full Metal Mayhem.
Bully Ray leads Aces & Eights down to the ring and good lord, Brooke looks amazing. Bully hugs Taz at ringside and then clowns on Tenay for falling for what happened last week.
Bully says he is the puppet master and he says that he makes all the fans believe whatever he wants them to believe and calls them all suckers. He says A&8 isn’t about quality, it’s about quality and then he has Brooke turn around and show off her ass as he says, “that is what you call quality.” Bully says he doesn’t need to be the World Champion to be the most talked about guy in TNA and he is the be all and end all of TNA. Bully says Mr. Anderson tried to drive a wedge between he and his club and a wedge between he and his girl but no one drives a wedge between he and his girl except him. Bully officially accepts Anderson’s challenge for “Turning Point” and he says he isn’t just going to Piledrive him on the stage this time, he will Piledrive Anderson through the stage.
Mr. Anderson comes out and he says that everyone is sick and tired of A&8, and when he beats Bully next week A&8 will be done and disbanded forever. Bully says he will never agree to that stipulation but Anderson says he’ll sweeten the pot. Anderson points out that his wife is pregnant with twins right now and he says if Bully beats him next week he will be done in TNA and he’ll just go home and be a dad from now on. Bully likes that idea as Anderson gets up on the apron. Bully says he would love to Pilerive Anderson’s pregnant wife, that may be a little much Bully. Bully says Anderson must be insane to be willing to put his career on the line against him and he must be in Anderson’s head pretty bad. Anderson says he is crazy and decks Bully! Garett Bischoff and Knux attack Anderson as Bully finds a steel chair nearby.
Bully goes to hit Anderson with it but he kicks Bully in the nuts and then clotheslines Bischoff and Knux over the top rope! Anderson grabs the chair and Bully bails out of the ring! Anderson says he has Bully’s ass next week but he’s feeling frisky right now and he says he wants either Knux or Bischoff right now.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Mr. Anderson vs. Knux
As Knux hits the ring Anderson jumps him and puts the boots to him before mounting him in the corner and raining down right hands. Anderson bounces off the ropes and connects with a clothesline but Knux doesn’t go down. Anderson attempts the same thing again but this time Knux ducks and then hits a Cross Body Block for a nearfall! Knux chokes Anderson in the ropes and then hits a Body Guillotine as Anderson was hung up in the ropes. Knux beats on Anderson in a corner and then whips him hard into the opposite corner. Knux boxes the head of Anderson and then tosses him out to the floor. Knux follows Anderson out and slams him into the ring steps. Knux then hits an Elbow Drop on Anderson as he lies on the floor. Knux rolls back into the ring and taunts the crowd before grabbing Anderson by the head and dragging him onto the apron. Knux Suplexes Anderson over the top rope into the ring for another nearfall. Knux puts Anderson in a chinlock but Anderson fights back up to his feet and breaks the hold with body shots. Anderson goes for the Green Bay Plunge but Knux blocks it and shoves Anderson into the ropes. Knux hits a Splash followed by a Sidewalk Slam! 1…2…NO Anderson kicks out again! Knux hits a Shortarm Clothesline and then laughs at Anderson and screams at him to just stay down. Knux picks Anderson up and hits another Shortarm Clothesline. Knux goes for a third clothesline but this time Anderson catches him with the Mic Check! 1…2…3!
Winner: Anderson via pinfall (Mic Check)
Mr. Anderson does his usual “Misteeeeeeer Anderson” introduction after the match and says he’s going to whoop Bully Ray’s ass next week.
Backstage Joseph Park bitches about what Bad Influence did last week to him and he says he wants Christopher Daniels one-on-one tonight. He says that he’ll leave EY in the back tonight and Daniels needs to leave Kaz in the back and they can settle things one-on-one.
Daniels and Kaz talk about Park’s challenge and Daniels mockingly says he was just trying to hydrate Park last week when he threw the drink in his face. Daniels says EY will stay backstage during the match because he’ll probably be fishing or trying to find something in his beard anyway. Daniels says he’ll handle it alone and Kaz can stay backstage. Bobby Roode walks up to them and they talk about the new EGO t-shirt.
Those last two promos were actually apart of TNA’s 365 thing online and were actually originally posted on Youtube.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
A vignette highlighting the Aries-Angle match for later tonight is shown, great video package with Angle and Aries talking about how difficult a Submission Match is. Angle even name drops Ken Shamrock when talking about the wrestlers he watched to draw influence from.
“Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels vs. Joseph Park
Daniels kicks Park and then chops and hits him with forearms. Daniels hits the ropes but Park catches him with a Hip Toss followed by a shoulder block. Daniels asks for a time out and then a handshake, but instead Park pulls him into another shoulder block. Park whips Daniels into the corner and then walks into a chop to the throat from Daniels. Park comes back with a double leg takedown, and then Park goes or a Boston Crab but Daniels gets to the ropes and slides out of the ring. Park chases Daniels around the ring and then back into the ring where Daniels kicks the bottom rope into Park’s face. Daniels puts the boots to Park and then a series of elbows followed by a Sliding Clothesline to the back of Park for a one count. Daniels attempts to whip Park into the ropes but Park reverses it and then goes for a clothesline, but Daniels ducks and then goes for a Sunset Flip. Park blocks it and attempts a Cannonball Splash but Daniels rolls out of the way. Daniels chops the back of Park and then kicks Park in the face for a nearfall. Daniels puts Park in a chinlock and Park fights off the hold with elbows. Daniels hits Park in the back repeatedly taking Park back down to the mat. Park comes back with a Samoan Drop out of nowhere! Park hits a shoulder block and then a Scoop Slam followed by a Sidewalk Slam! 1…2…NO Daniels kicks out! Park hits a Vertical Suplex and then climbs up top. Daniels rolls away but as he does Park climbs back down and hits a Corner Splash and then he hits a series of rights and lefts. The referee pulls Park away which irritates him and he shoves the referee away. Daniels kicks Park in the balls as the referee was turned around and then he rolls him up for the pin.
Winner: Daniels via pinfall (rollup)
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Backstage Knux is pissed about losing to Anderson but Bully says it’s cool because they have Anderson where they want him. Bully says Anderson is in the palm of his hands in a No DQ Match and they’ll get rid of him. They head off to a strip club to enjoy the rest of the night.
Handicap Match
Ethan Carter III vs. Dewey Barnes & Norv Fernum
EC3 laughs as Barnes and Fernum come to the ring. Norv punches EC3 and then ducks a clothesline and puts EC3 in a wristlock. He tags in Barnes and holds EC3 as Barnes dives off the bottom rope (you read that right) with an Axe Handle Drop to the outstretched arm of EC3. Barnes tags Fernum back in and Fernum dives off the middle rope with an Axe Handle Drop to EC3. Barnes tags back in and he dives off the top rope this time with a Diving Double Foot Stomp to the arm of EC3. Barnes hits a Flying Forearm to EC3 which pisses him off and he then destroys Barnes with a forearm of his own. EC3 hits a series of right hands on Barnes and then he hits a Snap Suplex. EC3 taunts Barnes as he almost lets him get the tag and then drops him with a Back Suplex. EC3 charges at Barnes in the corner but eats an elbow. Barnes hits another elbow and then hits a Floatover Spinning Headscissors. Barnes then dives to his corner and tags Fernum back in. Fernum hits a shoulder block through the ropes on EC3 and then a Flying Cross Body off the top! Fernum climbs back up top and hits a Missile Dropkick! Fernum gets to the top again and hits a Tornado DDT! 1…2…NO EC3 kicks out as Taz says that Tornado DDT sucked (it did). Fernum tries to get the crowd behind him and EC3 kicks him in the head. EC3 obliterates Fernum with the One Percenter but as he was setting up for it Barnes blind tags himself into the match. Barnes dives off the top but EC3 catches him by the throat and hits the One Percenter! EC3 covers both of them and gets the pin.
Winner: EC3 via pinfall (One Percenter)
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Another “Friends of AJ” vignette airs with more highlights of his appearance for AAA in Mexico. He says he’s come to show that being a champion means something. AJ is shown talking to Joaquin Roldan with more highlights from the match with Mesias. He says that he is just getting started.
Dixie bitches about the video package being shown again.
Highlights from last week’s Full Metal Mayhem are shown and then Hardy talks about the match. He shows his chipped tooth from the match and he says he’s going to study whoever his opponent is in the Semifinals like no other. Hardy says he did a TLC style match for the first time 16 years ago and it makes him extremely proud to still be able to do that match and have people enjoy it.
A video package highlighting Austin Aries’ career is shown.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Dixie Carter comes down to the ring to a chorus of boos. She says it’s so hard to be perfect all of the time like her but she doesn’t have to go around proving herself because of that. she says that every once in awhile it just feels right to say how right she is like when she kicked that “redneck” (AJ Styles) off her roster. Dixie says this is a business and it’s about “what have you done for me lately” and other than get under her skin AJ Styles has done nothing for her but steal her title belt and defend it in Mexico. An “AJ” chant starts up and she says again AJ is not her World Champion and her lawyers will handle him. She calls the current World Title Tournament the most innovative tournament in the history of the business. Dixie hypes up the Submission Match for tonight and then says there will be two more tournament matches next week at “Turning Point.”
She introduces Bobby Roode, James Storm, Magnus, and Samoa Joe. Dixie says Roode will face Storm and Magnus will face Joe and she spun the “Wheel of Dixie” earlier to decide which match they will have. She mentions that she posted that on the internet via TNA365. Dixie says that Storm and Roode will face each other in a Bullrope Match and she says that Roode has the advantage because it’s about “what have you done lately” and Roode has beat Kurt Angle twice lately. She tells Storm to step up and prove what he is made of.
Storm gets pissed and says he doesn’t have to show her a damn thing because she isn’t ready to “ride in this rodeo.” Storm says he has a “heart that won’t quit, hair past my shoulders with a redneck underneath, a little twang in my slang, and a cold six pack to go with it” and he’s pretty sure he’s got the people on his side in the feeling that it’s time for the redneck to get back his title. Storm says Roode facing him in a Bullrope Match there’s only one thing to say, “sorry about yo damn luck.”
Dixie announces that Joe and Magnus will face in a Falls Count Anywhere Match and she taunts Joe calling him a “TNA original like his little redneck buddy AJ Styles.” Joe says the only reason she’s gathered everyone in this tournament is to cover for her inability to reach a deal with AJ Styles. Dixie tells Joe to watch himself but he says she needs to realize who needs who. Joe says they’re all here being used by her to cover for her bad business. Joe says he has her covered because after he runs through the tournament the first man he’ll defend the belt against is the man that never lost it in the first place whether it’s here or anywhere else in the world. Dixie gets pissed at Joe and says there is no way she will allow that to happen.
Magnus says the reason they put MEM on ice is the same premise of this tournament, to win the World Championship and the spirit of competition. Magnus says if he wants to lay claim to being the top dog he knows he has to beat the very best and he knows that’s Samoa Joe. Magnus says it won’t be easy but it will happen. Dixie says this tournament is about finding HER champion that will look after her causes and that person will be the one, true, real Heavyweight Champion.
In the back Mr. Anderson jumps Garett Bischoff and throws him into the side of a big equipment case. Anderson handcuffs to a something and then grabs a beer and says he needs to have a little talk with Garett.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
A video package hypes up Turning Point and then another one airs highlighting Angle’s TNA career.
Gail Kim comes out along with Lei’D Tapa for the Open Challenge. Gail says she issued her open challenge last week and again calls herself the greatest Knockouts Champion of all time. Gail says that a lot of names were mentioned but someone has to actually show up and then Hannah Blossom of the Blossom Twins from the UK comes out.
Open Challenge
Gail Kim w/Lei’D Tapa vs. Hannah Blossom
If Hannah wins this match then she will receive a KO Title shot. Gail kicks Hannah hard as the bell rings and then she slams her into the turnbuckles. Gail hits a European Uppercut and slams her face into the mat. Gail whips Hannah into the corner and then hits a Flying Splash in the corner. Gail slams Hannah to the mat by her hair. Hannah fights back with body shots but Gail kicks her and takes her down again slamming her face into the mat. Gail slams her into the corner and repeatedly kicks her before slamming her face into the top turnbuckle. Gail rolls out to the floor and wraps Hannah’s legs around the ring post in a Hanging Figure Four! Gail talks trash to Hannah before finally releasing the hold. Gail gets down on all four and dares Hannah to kick her in the ribs which Hannah obliges in doing, but Gail saw it coming and sweeps her legs for a nearfall. Gail goes for a forearm but Hannah blocks it and hits a series of forearms and clotheslines! Hannah hits a Snap Suplex and then a Splash for a nearfall. Hannah picks Gail up and whips her into the corner. She charges at Gail but eats a big clothesline. Gail hits the Eat Defeat for the pin.
Winner: Gail via pifnall (Eat Defeat)
Gail grabs the microphone after the match and mockingly tells Hannah nice try and she says that she is going to show week after week why she is the most dominating Knockout Champion of all time.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Joseph Park comes down to the ring again and he says that when he came to Impact a year ago was to find his brother, ya’ know Abyss. Park says he couldn’t just walk away from all of the support he got from the fans but lately a few things have been getting under his skin like Bad Influence saying he’ll never be the wrestler that Abyss is. Park says they’re right because his brother is a future TNA Hall of Famer but the thing that really gets under his skin is all the accusations that people have made saying that when Abyss is here Park isn’t and when Park is here Abyss isn’t. Park says “how the hell am I supposed to know where he’s at?!” Park says that Abyss is crazy and he’s liable to show up anytime, but he has a solution to this whole problem. Park says you only live once and then issues an open challenge for next to his brother Abyss!
Backstage Anderson puts Bischoff on his shoulders and drags him away.
----COMMERCIAL BREAK----
Main Event
TNA World Title Tournament Quarterfinals
Submission Match
“Olympic Hero” Kurt Angle vs. “A-Double” Austin Aries
This is this first time these two have faced each other I believe, one on one at least. Aries and Angle start the match off with a simple lockup. Angle quickly gets Aries in a waistlock but then Aries drops down to his butt and wraps his legs around Angle’s legs to trip him up. Angle gets Aries in a headscissors but they quickly both release and stare each other down. They lockup again and this time Aries gets Angle in a side headlock but Angle reverses it into a top wristlock. Angle transitions into a hammerlock and then a side headlock takeover. Aries counters with a headscissors and then they both get back to their feet again and nod to each other. They lockup for a third time and Aries gets Angle in a waistlock but Angle reverses it into a side headlock. Aries shoves Angle into the ropes but gets run over by Angle.
