According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon wasn’t happy with the Steve Austin/Paul Heyman podcast bringing up the idea of a Brock Lesnar vs. Steve Austin match at WrestleMania 32. As previously reported, Heyman asked about the idea of a match and Austin went into “promo mode” about it before later saying on his audio podcast that he wasn’t trying to set up such a match, which he said wasn’t likely to happen.
The site reports that Austin and Lesnar have talked about the match in the past, as it’s the biggest one they could probably do. Heyman is friends with both and there was thought to be some potential for the match. Heyman asked the question anyway and Austin was ready with an answer; there was some plan to go this way in the conversation, but Heyman didn’t know what Austin’s response would be.
McMahon was reportedly unhappy because the match won’t happen and they can’t deliver on the possibility that was raised. McMahon wanted the story to go away quickly and hoped that Austin addressing it on the audio podcast would be enough to make it go away.
PWInsider reports that Heyman was asked about the potential of the match on Chael Sonnen’s podcast and said that he legitimately caught Ausin off-guard with the question. He said that Austin’s jump into promo mode was because Austin believes that everything about his character is real. Heyman added that he couldn’t sit through a full hour talking with Austin and not bring the question up, but noted that the chances of the match happening are nil and that Austin will give a “plethora of reasons” why that’s the case.
Heyman said that he hopes Austin is involved with WrestleMania 32 considering it is in Texas but isn’t interested if Austin does a match with someone other than Lesnar, so he brought up the question for selfish reasons. Sonnen said he thought Heyman was working him and that the match will happen. Heyman responded that if there was any chance of it that Austin would play the rumors up and build anticipation, not shoot the rumor down as he did on his audio podcast.

Steve Austin Says He’s Not Setting Up a Match With Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32
During the latest episode of the Steve Austin Podcast, Steve Austin took the time to address the possible Austin vs. Lesnar match at WrestleMania 32. The match started to get talk last week following the Austin podcast with Paul Heyman on the WWE Network.
Austin said that he had no clue what Heyman would be saying on the show, so when Heyman brought up the Lesnar situation, Austin said he went into promo mode. He felt that this was the right thing to do for the Austin character, but did not mean to falsely raise the expectations of the fans. He also noted that it was not his intention to set up a match, that he and Lesnar would be doing different things going forward and that he wasn’t trying to set up a WrestleMania match.
Opinionated View- Good we already got to many senior citizens already linked to Mania. We know Taker is getting a match, we know Triple H's ego demands he's on the card. Hogan is begging to get on the card. Of course knowing WWE and the rumors they want to break records odds are Austin will wins up facing Vince or something.

Updates On WWE/Steve Austin Situation: Cena “Infuriating” Austin?
PWInsider reports that even though there have been public denials, there are still issues between WWE and Steve Austin.
During Wrestlemania week, WWE sent a cease and desist letter to ProWrestlingTees.com about Steve Austin items in their official store that they sell for him. Several of the Austin items that were up for sale are no longer available.
Meanwhile, the website suggests that John Cena is using the springboard stunner as a way to “infuriate Austin”. Austin, former WWE creative team member and documentarian Chris Bell, and his brother Mark (Bigger, Stronger, Faster) said the move was “gimmick infringement on Austin’s podcast. Austin then spoke about why the move shouldn’t be used as Cena was using it.
The issues between the two led to Austin not attending Wrestlemania weekend. As previously reported, WWE had a flight booked, but Austin didn’t show up. Austin turning down the new season of Tough Enough was said to be a big reason for their curent situation. He said on his podcast he turned it down due to scheduling issues with his reality show on CMT.

Steve Austin on Rumors About Problems With WWE
WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin on his newest "Steve Austin Show" podcast today on Podcastone.com cleared the air on rumored issues between himself, WWE and Vince McMahon that were reported by multiple wrestling media websites over the last week. Here are excerpts from the podcast:
* Austin addressed the rumor that he was scheduled to fly into California with The Undertaker and that WWE staff was surprised when he didn't show. Austin said that wasn't true at all and is confused why it even started since he knows Undertaker lives in Texas and he now mostly resides in Los Angeles when he isn't at the Broken Skull Ranch.
* Austin added that at no point did he have any creative discussions with WWE about being part of WrestleMania 31.

"There was no booking. There was no ideas. I didn't turn down anything. I simply wasn't there."
* Regarding rumors about having heat with Vince McMahon and turning down the "Tough Enough", Austin said neither are true. He said "Tough Enough" was supposed to start filming in February/March and he had a clash of scheduling with CMT for his "Broken Skull Challenge" reality show.
"I didn't turn it down for any other reason but that. That's just the way it is."
* When it comes to the Stone Cold Podcast being part of the WWE Network, Austin said they initially agreed to do two of them and discuss a deal. Austin added:
"A deal wasn't made and we aren't moving forward. End of story. There is no heat there."
He also said the rumor that Vince McMahon wasn't happy with his line of questioning wasn't true either.https://www.facebook.com/RealWrestlingNewsAndOpinionatedViews

Steve Austin WWE Update
As we previously reported, Steve Austin was supposed to appear at Wrestlemania 31 in Santa Clara, but didn’t due to an issue with Vince McMahon.
WWE had been planning for Austin at the to attend the show during last week. He was supposed to fly into San Jose on the same flight as The Undertaker. When the plane landed, Austin wasn’t there. The WWE even had someone there to pick him up. They were still hopeful he would arrive eventually.
PWInsider (via Wrestlezone) reports that the issue between Austin and McMahon appears to be over criticism of Austin’s WWE Network podcast. Vince was said to be so angry that one person claimed they’ve never seen him that mad about anything. This could be why Chris Jericho’s podcast is airing on the network instead.
Meanwhile, the website also reports that WWE wanted Austin to host Tough Enough again but he turned them down for unknown reasons.

Steve Austin Confirms He’s Prepping For In-Ring Return
Steve Austin said in a recent episode of the Steve Austin Show that he’s prepping for a return to the ring. Austin mentioned during the podcast, “I’m trying to get back into shape for a comeback.”
Austin has previously said that he’s working out and getting in shape, which as reported last month led many from within WWE to suspect he was training for an in-ring return. It’s been rumored that he could return at WrestleMania, but there’s no evidence of that yet.
Opinionated View- Ah fuck just when it seems we might finally be done having Taker limp into the ring for a 30 min shit match now Austin wants that spot. Fuck I am so sick of washed up old men showing up and dragging Mania down.

WWE Reportedly Trying Hard To Bring Back Stone Cold Steve Austin
WWE is reportedly trying to bring Stone Cold Steve Austin back to the WWE in some form. Austin is currently open to a return if the money and creative plans are right. He said he needs months to prepare and everything would have to go just right to be successful.
WWE has been promoting Austin’s podcast on TV and producing more of his merchandise. The company reportedly told distributors to go into “heavy production” on the merchandise. This could be because Austin is coming back. However, there is also the possibility that WWE just wants to renew a big push of Stone Cold products.
Opinionated View- We don't need any more old guys showing up to take time away from the younger guys. Plus Austin is so boring.

Steve Austin Returning to WWE TV Soon?
- According to The Wrestling Observer, Steve Austin is expected to return to WWE television in some form soon. WWE has told their distributors to go into heavy production on Austin merchandising, which would be standard for someone who is making a return of some sort, even if it’s for a quick one-off. Appearances on TV often lead to renewed demand for merchandise.
As previously reported, WWE has worked out a deal with Austin where they promote his podcast and he plugs the WWE Network.
Opinionated View- Why not just air a rerun of Raw? Austin's been doing the same thing over and over again for years.

Angle Reportedly Pitched to Stone Cold Steve Austin for WrestleMania 30 (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)
- Wrestlezone reports that according to WWE sources, a segment was reportedly pitched to Stone Cold Steve Austin and CM Punk for WrestleMania 30. The segment was said to be based around its ending, which would see Austin giving Punk a stunner to set up a match at WrestleMania 31. There's been no word on whether or not either man agreed to the angle. Punk was previously spotted in the Chicago area last night for an Against Me! concert.
In addition, many in the WWE are currently under the impression that The Rock will be flying to New Orleans on Sunday to be featured in a WrestleMania segment as well.
Opinionated View- If Punk does comes back that last person I want to watch him face is Austin. Mania has turned into AARP showcase with way to many old guys the last few years.

Steve Austin Comments on CM Punk’s WWE Walkout During His Arsenio Hall Show Appearance
Steve Austin appeared on The Arsenio Hall Show last night to promote his podcast series and discussed CM Punk walking out of WWE.
Austin said that "word on the street" was that the situation was legitimate and said that he personally likes Punk. He said Punk is a friend but he's a "hard headed young man."
Austin said that Punk probably felt trapped in a corner, so he left and went home. Austin said that he was in a similar situation in 2002 and did the same thing, but by doing so he "missed out on a lot of money."
Austin pointed out that since this is Wrestlemania season, the move has bad timing from a financial standpoint. He said that either Vince McMahon will reach out to Punk to smooth it over or Punk will decide he's ready to go back to work. He said that Punk was in a situation where he was under a lot of stress and that he believes it will all work out in the end.
Austin also plugged the WWE Network and agreed with Dana White's contention that Vince McMahon was a "maniac." He said that Vince was "crazy as hell" but "in a good way."
When asked about wrestling, Austin said it took three years to get wrestling out of his system. He did not address any interest in returning to the ring.

Update on Steve Austin
Steve Austin no longer has any contractual ties to WWE right now according to a report by Dave Meltzer. He also isn't allowed to use the "Stone Cold" name as WWE owns it. He owns the rights to the Steve Austin name (now his legal name) as part of an agreement with WWE.

Possible Plan For Steve Austin At WrestleMania 30
WWE is still hoping that Stone Cold Steve Austin will get medical clearance for a match at Wrestlemania 30.
If he is cleared and interested, an idea has been pitched. The idea is that Stone Cold would fight Triple H at the PPV for control of the WWE. Austin would represent Vince McMahon.
Opininonted View- Who ever pitched that idea is a idiot. Fist lets start with the huge plot hole of everything about Austin was he hated Vince and Vince hated him. Most people rip Austin's 2001 heel turn because it made no sense he would join up with Vince after all they had done to each other.
Now lets talk about the fact that once again this would be all about two guy that already made there money got there fame. And take time from guys that could use that spot on Mania. The good news we have been hearing about Austin coming back for years and from everything I have heard there no way he can work a match.
