Update On Eva Marie WWE Hall Of Fame Reports

During WrestleMania 31 Weekend it was reported that Eva Marie would be hosting the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony instead of Jerry Lawler. This was reported by more than one source via PWInsider but Lawler later shot down the reports on Twitter and obviously ended up hosting the show. Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that many people were talking about Eva hosting the Hall that weekend and it appears the original story of Eva hosting was right but WWE just changed their minds and put Lawler back as the host.

WWE Moving Jerry Lawler Due to His Age?

As previously reported, WWE has changed up their announce teams with Jerry Lawler moved to Smackdown in exchange for Booker T. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirms previous reports that the move is one that WWE has been considering for a while, but they were unable to do so after he suffered his heart attack.
The report notes that WWE is following the same pattern that they did with Jim Ross and that the move was “inevitable” because Lawler is sixty-five and the company is very age conscious when it comes to their on-camera talent for Raw. The Smackdown move to Thursday made for a good opportunity to pull the switch.
As reported, Lawler will still be calling PPVs with JBL and Michael Cole.

Opinionated View- It was over due to get rid of Lawler and start phasing him out but why Booker he is awful.

Why Lawler Moved to Smackdown

- The Wrestling Observer reports that the plan has been to move Jerry Lawler out of the Raw announce team spot for a while and that Smackdown is giving them the opportunity to do so. Dave Meltzer stated that WWE has “wanted to get rid of Lawler on Raw for a long time, but after the heart attack, they figured they couldn’t.” Now that they have relaunched Smackdown on Thursday, they have an ostensible reason to do.

He's up and awake for the time being, so we decided to put our cute hats on and take some NYE pics of our awesome hospital NYE party! that is until the pain meds kick in again and he's back snoozing away which could easily be when we ring in the New Year!! I sure wish we were able to be with our friends tonight, but honestly I am not hating this one bit not being out with the crazies other than the fact we are in the hospital!! & hey I get to be in my sweats and my hello kitty house slippers🎊#lowkeynight ‪#‎hospitalstyle‬ ‪#‎ourkindaparty‬ ‪#‎NYE
