Opinionated View- Awful main events. I thought Briscoe losing the belt meant his main event run was over. Adding OBD and Martini doesn't help anything. The IPPV main event isn't any better Lethal may have the belt but it doesn't change the fact he's done nothing of value since turning heel. And Strong is super boring always has been always will be.

- Hard-hitting, physical match. Crowd super into it
- Crowd chants, “That was awesome” post match, Elgin thanks Ciampa for the competition, instead of shaking hands, picks up title belt and drops it at Elgin’s feet. Ciampa snaps when Elgin departs, wrecking 2 ring crew kids, then attacked Kevin Kelly. Steve Corino made the save, with security getting Kelly to back. Bobby Cruise entered, Ciampa demolished him with 5 running knees. Cruise carried out, as Ciampa announced the intermission.

Adam Page def Adam Pearce w/ jackknife roll thru
- Pearce tells him this is all part of the education process, the fans don’t matter. Pearce slaps him as he goes for handshake. Jacobs tells him to not be stupid as the rest of Decade laugh at the lesson being taught.

- Really good, fast paced, high impact match. Cedric really hung with him

ROH 08/22/14 Death Before Dishonor XII Night 1 Results

Quick Results:

1. Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian defeated Adam Cole & Michael Bennett with Maria Kanellis after a combination gut-buster move. Kazarian pinned Bennett.

2. Adam Pearce defeated TD Thomas via pinfall with a piledriver.

3. Tommaso Ciampa defeated Jimmy Jacobs via submission tap-out with the Sicilian Stretch / Rings of Saturn in a crazy brawl.

4. AJ Styles defeated ROH Tag Team Champion Kyle O’Reilly (with Bobby Fish) via a Styles Clash in a fantastic match.

5. ACH won a Six Man Scramble (one fall, non-title) by defeating ROH TV Champion Jay Lethal (w/ Truth Martini & Selezyia Sparx) via pinfall after a Snap German Suplex with a Bridge. Also in the match were Bobby Fish, Cedric Alexander, Adam Page and BJ Whitmer.

6. Hanson defeated Roderick Strong via pinfall after a spin kick.

7. The Briscoes (Jay & Mark Briscoe) defeated The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) via pinfall after a Doomsday Device on Matt.

8. Main Event: ROH World Title Match: Michael Elgin (c) retained the title by defeating Silas Young with a Buckle Bomb and Elgin Bomb for the pinball.

Opinionated View- Ok I'm about as big an AJ Styles fan you can find but he should not be going over O'Riley. It really is to bad O'Riley is a great talent but it seems he's become a jobber to the stars. The Young Bucks have a tag title shot coming up why are they jobbing to the guys that aren't even good enough to work a back yard wrestling show?

- Ring of Honor has announced on their website that Adam Pearce is returning to the company at Death Before Dishonor XII. Check out the press release and video promoting the return below:

- Ring of Honor has announced that Adam Cole will face Jay Brisco in Ladder War V for the WrestleMania weekend Supercard of Honor on April 4th in New Orleans. The idea is to settle who the true ROH champion is between the two.

- The company's May 17th show in New York City is completely sold out.

- Death Before Dishonor 12 will take place on August 23rd in Chicago Ridge, Illinois.

- The promotion's card next Saturday takes place on Dayton, Ohio with the following card:

Opinionated View- First call it a ladder match that's what it is not a war a ladder match. Second ENOUGH WITH GOD DAMN JAY BRISCOE TITLE SHOTS! ROH has so much talent  and you keep pushing freaking Jay Briscoe. 

ROH Death Before Dishonor Results

Jay Briscoe comes out to start the show. He talks about being on the very first ROH show in February 2002 and building the company to where it is today. The fans chant “thank you champ!” in response. Jay then mentions defeating Kevin Steen at “Supercard of Honor VII” back in April to win the ROH World title. He asks Nigel why he stripped Jay of the title when he hurt his shoulder when Nigel defended the title when he had a torn bicep. He thinks him being stripped of the title is bullshit, although he knows Nigel is simply a messenger. He says when he comes back from his injury, he will be in line for a title shot. Until then, he has no problem handing the belt over to whomever wins the title if they win it like a man.

Opening Match: Jay Lethal vs. Silas Young

Jay Lethal picks up the win after backflipping into the Lethal Injection.

ROH World Title Tournament Semi-Final Round Match
Adam Cole vs. Tommaso Ciampa

Match started hot and heavy with Ciampa attacking Cole right away and taking him to the floor. While there, Ciampa powerbombed Cole into the barricades and suplexed him onto the exposed floor. Cole targeted Ciampa injured knee while Ciampa used his good knee for both offensive and defensive purposes. While Cole had Ciampa in the figure four, he kicked Ciampa so hard in the head that he was knocked out and his shoulders were counted to the mat for three.

Kevin Steen vs. Michael Elgin

Lots of power moves and strike exchanges, as one would expect. Steen busted out a crossbody! In the end, Elgin forced Steen to tap out to the Crossface.

IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship
Forever Hooligans (Rocky Romero & Alex Koslov) (Champions) vs. The American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards)

The Hooligans retain the titles, pinning Davey with the Contract Killer.

After intermission, ‘Barrister’ RD Evans and Veda Scott come out. Veda says Nigel McGuinness will be served for Outlaw Inc. breaking Evans’ fingers at “Manhattan Mayhem V.” He says he will not leave the ring until he gets justice. This brings Adam Page to the ring. He says if Evans’ needs to blow off some steam they can have a match.

Adam Page vs. ‘Barrister’ RD Evans w/Veda Scott

Page made short work of Evans, holding him in an Alabama Slam position and dropping him back directly onto his head. According to Cheeseburger, it’s called the Axe Guillotine Driver.

Roderick Strong vs. Ricky Marvin

Strong wins with the Sick Kick and Gibson Driver.

BJ Whitmer came out to talk to Nigel McGuinness. Due to his spinal issues, he has decided to hang up his boots and retire from pro wrestling. He thanks Les Thatcher, Cary Silken, Gabe Sapolsky, and the fans. He then brings out Jimmy Jacobs. He asks Nigel for one favor before he leaves: give Jimmy Jacobs a chance for redemption. Nigel eventually agrees and Jimmy will wrestle tomorrow night. (Note: The feed died during this segment, so the results are courtesy of Jason Sterlacci (@Electric_Amish)

reDRagon (Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish), Matt Taven, & Michael Bennett w/ Truth Martini & Maria Kanellis vs. Adrenaline RUSH (ACH & Tadarius Thomas), Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander

Alexander pins O’Reilly after he and Coleman pull off Overtime. Bobby Fish attacked Coleman and Alexander after the match, bringing Outlaws Inc. (Homicide & Eddie Kingston) to the ring. Kingston puts reDRagon on notice.

ROH World Title Tournament Finals
Adam Cole vs. Michael Elgin

Three judges for the match in the result of a time limit draw: Cary Silkin, Joe Koff, and Prince Nana.

Adam Cole wins the title after repeated German suplexes and the Florida Key. Elgin almost had him with the Crossface (which beat Steen earlier in the night) but Cole rolled it into a pin.

Jay Briscoe gives Cole the title. Cole superkicks him in the back of the head! He then nails Elgin with the title belt! Cole blows Nigel a kiss and poses at the top of the ramp to end the show.

New Japan titles to be defended at Death Before Dishonor XI

ROH announced that The Forever Hooligans will defend the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Titles at the Death Before Dishonor XI event on September 20 in Philadelphia, Pa. The Hooligans will defend the straps against Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards. Read more at ROHwrestling.com/news/history-making
