There were a number of TNA Executives, Producers and Agents in Japan for the TNA vs Wrestle-1 show including Big John Gaburick, Al Snow and producer Bryan Edwards just to name a few. The show drew approximately 6,000 fans.
Word coming from the event is that the two groups also ironed out some small specifics to continue the working relationship and one source noted that the vision for both companies working together is far more clear than the TNA and New Japan working relationship. One TNA official noted this as the most beneficial working relationships TNA has ever had.
Clearly, the two organizations have far more to gain from working with each other. Wrestle-1 has already taken a sizable demographic away from All Japan Pro Wrestling and shown they have enough drawing power on their own to stay afloat without the need of the All Japan branding. TNA also has intentions of gaining a stronger foot-hole in Japan and that working with notable names in Japan helps gain a stronger Japanese fan-base for the company.
Following the big event Keiji Mutoh stated that he is looking forward to a strong, continual partnership with TNA. Mutoh also noted that the next major show for Wrestle-1 will take place on July 6 2014. Mutoh confirmed plans to bring the Kurt Angle vs Masakatsu Funaki to fruition.
Wrestle-1 confirmed earlier what had been rumored for quite a while, New X-division champion Seiya Sanada will be staying in the United States and wrestling for TNA for an undisclosed time as an American excursion/training.
Sanada will officially make his debut as a member of the TNA roster during TNA Lockdown. He will be teaming with another newcomer, Tigre Uno and The Great Muta to take on.Chris Sabin, Christopher Daniels, and Kazarian.
Opinionated View- I love hearing this. I hope this leads to more shows witch each other more talent coming in and giving something really different than you will see in WWE.
