It is believed that TNA may be doing away with their PPV plans altogether. Lockdown is airing free on Destination America and has traditionally been one of their best-selling PPVs.
Opinionated View- I think this would be a mistake. There is just something special about PPV also I like not having commercial breaks during big matches. Of course this is the net so they could be assuming and have no idea.

Which Ring Will TNA Use on Destination America
- While there was some discussion within TNA about going back to a standard four-sided ring as part of the Destination America relaunch, it appears that is not going to happen. Advertising for the New York City TV tapings say that all matches for Lockdown will be held inside a six-sided steel cage.

Update on Former UFC Fighter Training to Wrestel
- As previously reported, former UFC fighter Matt Riddle began training at Larry Sharpe’s wrestling school in New Jersey. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Riddle is making very good progress in his training.
Opinionated View- Riddle is a guy that always finds a way to screw up any chance he is given blew his UFC career blew his time with Bellator. Part of me thinks he's getting into wrestling thinking he won't be drug tested as often.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the rejected offer came from Lucha Underground. The deal was reportedly for very low money and would have been for seven years.
Reason Why The Authority Returned on Raw
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Authority returning to WWE TV has been planned for some time now. The move to bring them back was reportedly not a reaction to the recent low ratings for Raw. WWE’s plans have been to set up a Triple H vs. Sting match at WrestleMania 31, so bringing back the Authority allows them to start setting up that match.
Sting’s next appearance for WWE has not been confirmed, but word is that he is not expected to be a surprise entrant in the 2015 Royal Rumble match.

Lucha Underground Interested in Jim Ross
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lucha Underground is said to be interested in Jim Ross. Lucha Underground would like for Ross to be the lead announcer for the show’s second season, which will begin filming in the next few weeks. AAA would also like for Ross to announce for their English language PPVs. It has been noted that Jeff Jarrett would like to use Global Force Wrestling to bring TripleMania to US PPV, similar to what the company is doing with this weekend’s WrestleKingdom 9 event.
In yesterday’s blog entry, Ross commented on his future as a wrestling announcer, stating the following…
“I certainly don’t want to sound like an endless amount of wrestlers who retire multiple times but the simple truth of my broadcasting assignment this Sunday is that it well could well my last one. I have no wrestling broadcast gigs booked after this Sunday and unless something comes along that i can’t pass on Sunday could easily be the last major PPV for which I ever provide play by play. I’m not against doing the occasional wrestling show but it’s going to take something special to get me out of Oklahoma on a regular basis.”

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler has been hospitalized due to a case of diverticulitis according to a report by Mike Johnson. Lawler has been hospitalized for several days now. No word at this time on his current recovery.

NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 9 Not Airing The Same on All PPV Providers
- According to PWInsider, some cable and satellite providers are carrying NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 9 show on secondary PPV channels in SD only for the live 2 AM ET airing on January 4th. This is due to replays of the weekend’s UFC 182 airing on the HD channels. Those systems will air the PPV in HD at the 7 PM replay.
In addition, some cable providers aren’t carrying the 2 AM live broadcast at all and only the replay. Make sure to check with your provider for all the details.
