Global Force Wrestling has announced former ROH and WWE star Colt Cabana and former TNA Knockout Santana Garrett for the upcoming 7/9 live event in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Added to the 7/11 event in Lake County, Ohio is indy standout Johnny Gargano.

Opinionated View- All good names. Cabana is entertaining. Garrett aka Brittany is an excellent talent and Garagono would be one of the first guys I would sign if I was starting my own company

CM Punk and Colt Cabana Sued By WWE Doctor

WWE's Dr. Chris Amann filed a lawsuit earlier today against former WWE champion CM Punk and Colt Cabana in Cook County Civil Court, according to Cook County Record.

According to the newspaper article, Amann is, "claiming his reputation has suffered as a result of the former WWE wrestlers’ comments, Amann is seeking more than $1 million in compensatory damages, as well as an undetermined amount of punitive damages." In the filing, Amann claims that everything Punk claimed about his medical care under Amann while working for WWE were false and "repeatedly and falsely impugned the integrity" of Amann. In November 2014, Punk broke his post-WWE silence discussing his time in the company and the issues that led to his departure. He stated that a lump on his back was diagnosed as a fat deposit and despite several requests, it was not cut out. Punk later learned, after he left WWE, it was a MRSA staph infection that was cut out in what Punk described as the most painful experience in his life. In response, in the suit, Amann stated he "was not requested by Brooks to treat and/or excise a lump, let alone a purple, baseball-sized lump." Amann claims the comments made by Punk and Cabana on the Art of Wrestling podcast, "are highly offensive in that they accuse [him] of a gross lack of integrity as a medical doctor, an inability to perform his professional duties as a medical doctor, and in placing the financial interest of his employer above life-threatening health conditions of his patients." Cabana is included in the lawsuit, according to the article, for allegedly "helping Brooks [Punk] falsely depict" Amann. Given that the lawsuit was filed today, it's doubtful Cabana and Punk have been served yet. Punk is now training for his UFC debut.

Recap of CM Punk on Cabana's Podcast

He left after the Royal Rumble mainly because of his health. He talked about working with broken ribs, a concussion and bad knees during his last months with the company. Punk was so sick during last November's European tour that he was throwing up and dry heaving every night after his matches. He had a fever for months and no appetite. WWE doctors gave him so many antibiotics that he had an accident in the ring on SmackDown, all while watching his paychecks shrink. He said it was the worst he's ever felt in his life.

He suffered a concussion early during the Royal Rumble match but still worked. He passed a concussion test the next day and called the testing "bullshit." WWE informed he passed but wanted him to run the ring ropes and evaluate him. Punk then demanded that they just decide he has a concussion and admitted that he had been trying to deny he was hurt and just tough it out.

Punk says that same day he was being pressured about taking a drug test and signing visas for future tours instead of listening to his requests for help because something was obviously wrong. Punk then told Vince McMahon and Triple H that he was going home. Punk says he told off Triple H about cutting off his momentum in 2011 and complained to Vince for stifling Punk's creativity. He says he told them both it was garbage how Daniel Bryan wasn't being considered for the WrestleMania XXX main event. Punk says he told them he didn't want to do this anymore and was done. Vince was in tears when he hugged Punk goodbye and told him he was family.

However, Punk was actually fired from WWE. After he left in January, he was told a few weeks later by Vince McMahon through text message that he was being suspended for two months. This was the day before Vince told WWE shareholders that Punk had taken a sabbatical. Punk heard from no one in WWE once the suspension was over and received termination papers for breach of contract on his wedding day in June.

Punk says he hired a very vicious lawyer to go after WWE and fight their claim of breach of contract. In the end, he got a settlement that gave him everything he asked for and more. Punk's not allowed to talk about the settlement. He said they are done and will never have a working relationship again. Punk says WWE wanted to issue a joint statement with him but he told them to "fuck off." WWE was worried he would go to TNA but Punk's lawyer told WWE that he despises wrestling now and will never wrestle again.

He said wrestling Ryback took "20 years off his life" and described Ryback as "steroid guy."

WWE Reportedly Worried About CM Punk Chants on Raw

According to WrestleZone, sources within WWE are reportedly concerned about CM Punk chants tonight on Raw. Tonight’s edition of Raw takes place at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL, which is roughly 15 miles away from Chicago.
Word is that members of the WWE social media department have been told to search through Reddit, Twitter, top-liked Facebook fan pages, and assorted other forums and platforms to find out if there are any rallying plans lined up similar to the #HijackRaw movement back in March. Company officials want to make sure there is no Twitter or general social media campaign to make something “bigger” happen as a result of the first “Hijack Raw” plans being squashed by WWE.
Additionally, there are reports that Michael Hayes, Kevin Dunn, and Vince McMahon do not like Colt Cabana. They have reportedly told the social media department to keep an eye out for any mentions of his name. At the last Chicago show, several fans bought front row tickets and were wearing Colt Cabana t-shirts, which security made them remove as soon as they were seated.
Opinionated View- All hail the overlord All hail the overlord All hail the overlord
I'm getting flashes of 1984 because this is what it sounds like. So what if people chant CM Punk so what if people are wearing Colt Cabana's gear.

Colt Cabana Reportedly Back on WWE’s Radar

It is being reported that Colt Cabana is once again on WWE's radar. Cabana is looked at as a familiar personality to wrestling fans that could possibly used for the WWE Network. Over the past month, Cabana has made a few visits to the WWE Performance Center.

Opinionated View- Well the rumor Cabana is going to get rehired has been on going since CM Punk said hi to him during a promo on Raw. Look I'm a huge Cabana fan but until I actually see him on WWE TV I'm not going to believe it.

Update on Cabana's WWE Tryouts

There's been a lot of rumors today about Colt Cabana and WWE stemming from an online report that he recently had tryouts. In speaking to a WWE source about the Matt Striker departure, the source noted that the tryouts were anything but recent - one happened in 2012 and another happened this past February. I was told that after the CM Punk DVD came out, there were several in WWE who wanted to take a look at Cabana as an announcer because they liked how he came off in the DVD. Cabana had previously done announcing in FCW while he was signed to a developmental deal. The story making the rounds is worded to sound like CM Punk had gotten him tryouts, but the source I spoke to said that is incorrect and it was something that the company did on their own.

Colt Cabana Reportedly Receives Two WWE Tryouts

CM Punk reportedly set up two WWE tryouts for his friend Colt Cabana. Cabana's tryouts were for a spot as a color commentator, which is a job he did in WWE developmental prior to his release.

Opinionated View- The Fact Colt isn't working for WWE, TNA, or even ROH is a shame the guy is one of the best out there a wonderful mix of in ring work and microphone skill.
