Prince Devitt Comments on His Future in Wrestling

Last night at the Insane Championship Wrestling show Still Smokin', a match for the Zero-G Championship was supposed to take place between champion Mark Coffey and Solar. Mark Coffey informed everybody that Solar was too injured for the match to take place and made an open challenge to anybody on the roster. Prince Devitt (who was unannounced for the event) answered the challenge and beat Coffey to become the new ICW Zero-G Champion.

After the match, Devitt went on the microphone to inform everybody that there have been a lot of rumors about him recently, and whether he was going to WWE or TNA, but announced that he is now going to be a regular member of the ICW Roster.

So it would currently seem to appear that Devitt will be returning to the UK when his time in Japan comes to an end. Whether it's for a short while before moving on to bigger things elsewhere or a more permanent decision is unknown

Opinionated View- Well that's a twist. He could still wind up with WWE or TNA this could be some kind goodbye tour over in the UK and Ireland.

UK wrestler Lionheart suffers broken neck after taking A.J. Styles' finishing move

UK wrestler Lionheart (a/k/a Adrian McCallum) suffered a broken neck in two places after a botched Styles Clash finishing move during a match with A.J. Styles at Saturday's Preston City Wrestling event. "Words cannot describe the physical and emotional roller coaster of the past 30-plus hours," McCallum wrote. "To update, my neck is broken in 2 places. I have had an MRI and the positive spin is there is no immediate requirement for surgery, although that may change." TNA Signs New Deal With Challenge TV in the UK

Challenge TV issued the following press release on the new deal:

Challenge is delighted to announce a new multi-year partnership with TNA IMPACT WRESTLING. The deal secures more wrestling programming than ever before for fans and Challenge viewers with Challenge now becoming the exclusive home of TNA IMPACT WRESTLING in the UK and Ireland.

Challenge will show all the exciting action from the TNA MAXIMUM IMPACT VI UK Tour, starting with a TV broadcast on Thursday 30 January 2014 from Glasgow's SSE Hydro. This event will debut on UK television BEFORE it airs in America and the rest of the world – the first time this has happened in TNA history.

Challenge's coverage of TNA IMPACT WRESTLING's extensive arena tour will also include double TV tapings in Manchester (January 31) and London (February 1) and a PPV event in Birmingham (February 2). Footage will also be recorded when TNA visits Dublin on January 29. All shows will be broadcast in 2014.

Challenge has broadcast TNA since February 2011. With the new agreement the channel will continue to air TNA IMPACT WRESTLING every Sunday night at 9pm and TNA Xplosion each Wednesday at 11pm, alongside TNA's special signature PPV events including Bound For Glory, Lockdown and Slammiversary. Challenge now also has the rights to broadcast some older TNA programming and matches.

By continuing our strong relationship with Challenge, fans will still be able to watch free weekly TNA programming, the most-viewed professional wrestling programme across the region."

World of Sport Wrestling, an iconic British ITV brand, is set to make a comeback on Sunday 17th November 2013 at Croydon's Fairfield Halls.

ITV's World of Sport Wrestling broadcast from 1965 to 1985, drawing an average viewership of 8.5 million fans every week. At its peak an audience of 18 million tuned in for the 1981 clash between Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks at Wembley. Other British wrestlers such as Mick McManus, Jackie "Mr TV" Pallo, Kendo Nagasaki, Les Kellett, and "Bomber" Pat Roach all became household names. So popular was World of Sport Wrestling that a 1968 event held at the Royal Albert Hall featured Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh, as a guest of honour.

The event is being taped for ITV in advance of World of Sport's 50th anniversary in 2015. The event marks the first new World of Sport Wrestling taping in 28 years.

Riddick Bowe Making Pro Wrestling Debut Next Year

- UK promotion Preston City Wrestling have announced that Riddick Bowe will be making his professional wrestling debut for them next year. As you may recall, Bowe announced last month that he is looking to make the transition to professional wrestling, wanting to be the first person to hold World titles in both wrestling and boxing. The announcement stated that his first match will be on March 1st, 2014 and that Bowe will appear for the promotion on February 28th for his final contract signing.

PCW owner Steven Fludder said in the release, "This is an exciting coup for Preston City Wrestling. Riddick Bowe is one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time and has been training hard to make the transition to the wrestling ring."

Opinionated View- The photo above is from Bowe's attempt to become a Muay Thai Kickboxer earlier this year. He was a very talented boxer in his day but well do I need to say anything more just look at that photo. The guy is out of shape and just needing a payday.
