Kota Ibushi Out of New Japan G-1 Climax

New Japan announced earlier today that Kota Ibushi will not be able to compete in this year's G-1 Climax tournament beginning this Monday (7/21) due to a concussion Ibushi suffered in a match with KUSHIDA on July 4th. Ibushi sustained the concussion early on in the match with KUSHIDA, but finished the match where KUSHIDA defeated him to win the IWGP Jr. Title.

Multiple tests show that Ibushi has no abnormalities but there has been damage done to his head which is causing Ibushi to have shakes. The medical commission decided it was best for Ibushi and the wrestlers he would be wrestling in the G-1 Climax that he be deemed unable to compete. New Japan apologized to the fans who were hoping to see Ibushi wrestle and its expected that a replacement for Ibushi will be announced in the next couple of days before the first day of the G-1 Climax on 7/21.

WWE Reportedly Interested in Another Japanese Star

- It appears that WWE is interested in another talent from Japan. With rumors that the company has signed KENTA and Prince Devitt (not Japanese, but worked extensively in Japan for NJPW) there is another name on the radar; Kota Ibushi. Ibushi is the current IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion, and works under dual contracts with New Japan and DDT. 

In the past, Ibushi has turned down deals from All Japan, New Japan and WWE. Word is that he is exhausted trying to maintain the dual schedule, which is why he is not working this year's best of the Super Juniors Tournament. 

Opinionated View- Problem is just like with KENTA I fear WWE will just misuse him.
