WWE Returning to Dual-Brand PPV's

WWE is expected to start making all WWE pay-per-view events dual-branded shows going forward starting with WWE Backlash later this year. The news started circulating after an e-mail from Ticketmaster surfaced online stating that WWE Backlash 2018 in May would be a double-branded show. The Wrestling Observer also has some more details on the reports.
Speaking on the Wrestling Observer Radio this week, Dave Meltzer stated that an announcement on WWE pay-per-view events becoming double-branded shows was forthcoming. After the Observer contacted the promotion for an official comment, WWE said that there is nothing to announce at the moment.
Since the start of the new brand extension, WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, and Summerslam have served as the events that featured both Smackdown and Raw brands. The promotion’s relaunched the brand split in the summer of 2016. A short time after that, pay-per-view events started becoming brand-only events as well.
It was reported that the change was happening as a result of “so-so ticket sales” for events along with “repetitive matches.” While this doesn’t necessarily signal the definitive end to the second brand split era, it does seem to putting the company back on that road again. During the last brand split, the brand-only PPV events stopped. This was followed by allowing more inter-brand matches. Eventually, the first brand split ultimately came to an end in 2013 when the world titles were unified at TLC 2013.
Opinionated View- So wow this fell apart quick. The problem is doing dual brand PPV's won't fix the so so ticket sales or repetitive matches. The repetitive matches are because this company is lazy and keeps doing the same matches over and over again. I mean how many damn times have they do Owens and Zayn vs. Nakamora and Someone else? How many times have they do New Day vs. Usos? What would work would be doing less PPV. Do 12 a years 4 for Raw 4 for Smackdown and 4 interbrand. Than you could do acutal strong builds.
