Earlier today, WWE filed a document with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that noted that the launch of the WWE Network will be a "key element in the company's 2013-2015 business plan." The document notes that WWE hopes to build a subscriber base of 1-2 million people by the end of 2014, along with the hope of a "steady rate" of 2-3 million subscribers. The document also notes that a potential downside to the Network launch could be the loss of PPV buys via traditional means, along with the possibilty that PPV carries dropped WWE PPVs due to the PPVs being made available with the Network.
WWE is scheduled to host a conference call this Tuesday (1/14) with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon & George Barrios to discuss the WWE Network and its effect on WWE's business models.
Opinionated View- Guess we know why you have to be locked into a six months right off the bat. I assume enough sheep will buy this if they will keep it who knows.
