ROH News and Notes

Jimmy Jacobs completed his run in ROH after last night’s Supercard of Honor IX event. He will now be heading to a creative position in the WWE. His old valet and manager, Lacey returned and the two exited together to close out his storyline with the company.
– Seth Rollins and MVP were backstage at the event to visit.
– NJPW’s Tiger Hattori was reportedly in attendance for the event. Hattori was there to speak with the ROH brain trust to work out who will be scheduled for the upcoming NJPW/ROH combined events in May.
– ACH most likely left the ROH show early since he was also spotted in the crowd at last night’s WWE NXT house show.
– ROH has its next Chicago, Illinois event set for September 12.
– ROH’s next live event is set for April 4 in San Antonio, Texas. Here is the current lineup:
* Alberto El Patrón & ACH & Matt Sydal vs. The Briscoes & Roderick Strong

The match also had Caprice Coleman, Tommaso Ciampa, Cedric Alexander, & Moose
BJ Whitmer over Jimmy Jacobs via Exploder on two chairs. Some botches and not really exciting. Thank you Jimmy chants afterwards. Whitmer refuses to shake Jacobs’s hand. 'Farewell Match' And More Added To Ring Of Honor's Supercard Of Honor IX, Updated Card

Roderick Strong vs. Christopher Daniels and BJ Whitmer vs. Jimmy Jacobs have been added to Ring of Honor's Supercard of Honor IX event, which takes place on March 27th in Redwood City during WrestleMania 31 weekend.
The match with Whitmer is expected to be Jacobs' farewell as he's headed to WWE for a creative job. Below is the updated card for Supercard of Honor:
ROH Title Match
Samoa Joe vs. Jay Briscoe
ROH TV Title Match
Jushin "Thunder" Liger vs. Jay Lethal
ROH Tag Team Title Match
The Kingdom vs. ReDragon
Jimmy Jacobs vs. BJ Whitmer
Roderick Strong vs. Christopher Daniels
Other talents scheduled include Mark Briscoe, Matt Sydal, Frankie Kazarian, Michael Elgin, ACH and others.
Opinionated View- Ok this makes no sense. Kazarian and Daniels are a regular tag team and Whitmer and Jacobs are supposed to be in a faction together. Here's an idea have Daniels and Kaz team up and wrestle Whitmer and Jacobs. Have the addiction win. Since odds are you want to do something to put heat on Whitmer have him attack Jacobs after the loss.

Meanwhile put Strong against one of the unbooked guys.

ROH News: Three matches set for WrestleMania weekend Supercard of Honor 9

ROH has announced the following matches for the Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor 9 event that will be held March 27 in Redwood City, California at The Sports House.
-Jay Briscoe vs. Samoa Joe for the ROH Title
-Jay Lethal vs. Jushin Liger for the ROH TV Title.
-Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly vs. Michael Bennett and Matt Taven for the ROH Tag Titles.

Opinionated View- The fact they are doing the Joe vs. Briscoe match this soon confirms Joe won't be sticking around. Liger vs. Lethal would have been an awesome match years ago but Liger really isn't the same worker anymore. The tag title match has potential but ROH has done an awful job with reDragon and I don't want to hear about how Maria is to credit for Taven and Bennett's success.

Main Event – Ladder War 5 for the ROH World Championship
Adam Cole def Jay Brisoce to retain and become the Undisputed ROH World Champion after Mike Bennett & Matt Hardy interfered.

Opinionated View- Thank you god I was so worried ROH was going to stupid enough to put the belt back on spot monkey hillbilly. Even better his brother lost to. Sadly this being ROH odds are Jay will stay in the title picture or worse get Mark into. Even at best it just a matter of time before they regain the tag belts. Also why bring Matt Hardy back to shove Cole even further out of the spotlight?

Strong goes over Alexander and it sounds like it was a clean win. Why? Even removing my dislike for Strong he's a heel he's been bashing Alexander for weeks logic says a clean win means Strong is right. Lethal is now a heel joining him up with the guy that cost him the TV title two years ago you know when he was feuding with Ciampa over the same belt.https://www.facebook.com/RealWrestlingNewsAndOpinionatedViews
