Update on Ricky Steamboat Status With WWE

Another update has been revealed about Ricky Steamboat and his current status with WWE. According to a report by Dave Meltzer, Steamboat is no longer working full-time with WWE and instead just has a Legends deal agreement with the company (estimated at paying around $10,000 per year). His previous job as a brand ambassador was eliminated.

Ricky Steamboat Possibly Back With WWE

Last week it was reported that WWE had released Ricky Steamboat from his contract. Steamboat had started taking several booking, including conventions and shoot interviews. Now, it seems WWE may have brought him back. Steamboat reached out to the non-WWE promoters and told them that he would no longer be able to appear for them unless they reached out to WWE for approval. That is normal procedure for someone under a WWE deal

Ricky Steamboat Released From WWE Due To Budget Cuts

Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat has been released from the WWE due to the recent budget cuts. Steamboat had been working in NXT as a coach and with Triple H in the talent relations department. 

In May, Steamboat did promotional work for WWE in Malaysia. He will soon be part of non-WWE DVD interviews and wrestling conventions in the next few months. This is seen as a sign that he's done with the company.
