WWE Still Begging Michael Sam To Show Up

WWE released the following statement on WWE.com today, including a new invitation to NFL player Michael Sam, who signed with the Dallas Cowboys earlier today:
"Congratulations to Michael Sam on signing with the Dallas Cowboys! WWE will extend its invitation for Michael Sam to appear on any future Monday Night Raw he wishes. We offer our support for Michael as he continues his journey."
Opinionated View- Oh for god's sake. WWE are you that freaking desperate? Your a freaking leach trying throwing this young man's name around and begging him to show up. This just makes me sick.

WWE Removes All Mentions of Michael Sam Invitation From WWE.com

It appears as if Michael Sam's invitation to appear on Raw has been pulled. Following the initial invitation, and mainstream media coverage WWE received, WWE has removed all references of their invitation to Michael Sam from WWE.com. Sam, who was released by the St. Louis Rams, is the first openly gay player in the NFL. With Monday Night Football opening the season next week with two games, WWE looked to gain some interest and viewers with the Sam invitation. The Dallas Cowboys worked out Sam, who is expected to sign on for their practice squad once he passes his physical.

Opinionated View- Good! As I have made my feelings very clear I found this to be a desperate attempt to get press by the WWE.

WWE Invites Michael Sam to Appear on Raw

During Raw Cut NFL player Michael Sam was invited to appear on next week's Raw. The broadcast team said the first openly gay NFL player deserves to be on a roster or a practice squad, and they would give him an open mic if he accepts their invitation

Opinionated View- WWE is this desperate for positive press! Now they are trying to leech off of Sam. And what story? Sam is last round draft pick who got taken by a team loaded at his position who got out played but an un-drafted player who can handle both sides of the line. Yes Sam had 3 sacks but that same player had more tackles and played better over all. Hopefully Sam and the people advising him are smart enough to know this would be a bad idea. If Sam wants to tell his story he has ESPN, Fox Sports, NBC Sports, CBS Sports. I'm sure some of the non sports news would interested. Also given a knock on Sam was "He will bring a media circus." Appearing on WWE TV won't' help that.

But damn you WWE this guy is trying to keep his dream alive and you want to leech off of him. What's to bad is this will get press.
