WWE Responds To Lawsuit From Matt Osbourne’s Mother

TMZ reports that the WWE has responded to the lawsuit from Matt Osbourne’s mother, who claims they didn’t do enough to protect his health when he competed for them as Doink the Clown after he suffered several concussions. He died in 2013 from a drug overdose.
The WWE has denied the claims and said she wants a “pay day” due to the encouragement of her lawyers. A representative said: “WWE filed a lawsuit in Connecticut to protect the company from a series of fraudulent claims made by a Massachusetts attorney regarding alleged concussion related injuries. It’s unfortunate that some former performers have been improperly recruited under the guise of a big ‘pay day,’ and we feel badly that these individuals are being misled and exploited.”
Osbourne’s mother is still pursing the case in Texas.

Opinionated View- Like I said it's going to be hard to link Mat Bourne's  death to WWE directly because he wrested for so long in so many different companies. As was pointed out to me such companies as world class that very stiff styles

Cause of Death For Matt Bourne aka Doink the Clown

Ex-WWE star Doink the Clown died from a toxic overdose of morphine and hydrocodone ... this according to officials in Collin County, Texas.

TMZ has obtained the autopsy report for Matthew Wade Osborne -- whose body was discovered at his girlfriend's home on June 28.

According to the report, the medical examiner discovered "high levels of the opiates morphine and hydrocodone" in Osborne's system at the time of his death.

FYI -- hydrocodone is the key ingredient of the painkiller Vicodin.

The medical examiner expains, "I am of the opinion that [Osborne], a 55 year old white man, died as a result of toxic effects of opiates."

The ME says Osborne also suffered from heart disease, which was a "significant and contributory factor" in his death.

The former wrestler's body was riddled with scars -- which covered his forehead, both arms and his left knee.

More on the death of Matt Bourne

Police in Plano, Texas told TMZ.com that they believe the death of Matt Bourne (a/k/a Matt Osbourne) was accidental. However, they have launched a homicide investigation, as that is standard operation procedure. He was found dead by his girlfriend in her home on Friday.

Should be noted There were no weapons found at the scene and an autopsy is pending.
