Source Claims that Jeff Jarrett/Ian Rotten Incident Didn't Actually Get Physical

- You know when an anonymous source is speaking up, it's time to pay attention and take it as gospel, right? Well, one has spoken up in regard to the Jeff Jarrett/Ian Rotten situation and said that it never happened, at least in terms of the physical altercation. To be fair, this one does have some circumstantial facts to back them up.

As you may recall, the report suggested that Jarrett got physical with Ian Rotten at an IWA-MS show over the weekend and knocked the glasses off the face of Rotten's seventeen year-old son John Calvin. The source in question spoke with WrestleZone and called the reports a "a complete fabrication." The source says that there was a dispute over payment but says that Jarret was not intoxicated (as reports have claimed) and didn't assault Calvin in any way. The source recounts the tale as follows: Rotten failed to pay Jarrett even half of what was promised and Jarrett cursed Rotten out twice, but that was it.

The site notes that Indiana, where the show took place, does not allow the sale of alcohol on Sundays and that no bar was available at the show. Jarrett was there with Karen Jarrett scouting talent for their new Global Force Wrestling promotion.

Opinionated View- Well that explain Rotten going "Shit Happens" because if some guy put his hands on my son that sure as hell wouldn't be my response.

Ian Rotten No Longer Commenting on Jeff Jarrett

IWA Mid-South Wrestling promoter Ian Rotten made headlines among the wrestling media on Monday over an alleged incident with Jeff Jarrett and Karen Jarrett. Rotten stated that he shorted Jarrett half of his pay over an issue with PayPal that he described as embarrassing. Various versions of the story claim Jarrett got upset and "cursed" out Rotten in the back and that Karen took a microphone expressing her displeasure with Rotten in front of the live audience. Another version also claimed that Jarrett was drunk.

Rotten had stated he was going to file a complaint, but a new statement released on the official IWA Mid-South Facebook page would indicate that isn't taking place.

"Sh*t happens and life goes on, and so does the business of IWA Mid South wrestling. Though some unfortunate events took place last night, they are in the past, done, and over with and I will not be commenting on them in a public forum anymore."

Opinionated View- See this makes me go what? If someone did to my kid what Jarrett is reported to have done to Rotten's I wouldn't go shit happens.

Jeff Jarrett and Karen Jarrett Allegedly Involved in Altercation With Two Separate Indy Promoters

Reports like this are not what you want out there when you're working on launching a new promotion. According to Examiner.com, Jeff Jarrett was allegedly involved in a physical altercation last night with 17-year-old John Calvin. Calvin is the son of IWA Mid-South promoter Ian Rotten.

The dispute was reportedly over pay issues. Jarrett received half his pay in advance, then he learned he would receive the rest "within 2 to 3 days." This lead to Jarrett allegedly cursing out coworkers and then allegedly slapping the glasses of Calvin's face. Ian Rotten had the following to say about the situation…

"Jeff and Karen Jarrett were both intoxicated. I have a locker room full of people to back me up on that." 


Also, an anonymous IWA talent claimed Jarrett was "out of control," and was being roused by his wife Karen, who threatened to go out to the ring and expose Rotten. Rotten has also posted the following statement to his Facebook…

"So, I will address the 500 lb elephant in the room in full.

Jeff Jarrett was paid half of his money tonight and was told he would get the rest of it in 2 or 3 days as through one way or another, or just plain stupidity, we forgot to get the advance money out of PayPal. I know it sounds incredibly stupid, but it occurred. Am I embarrassed about it? Yes, but a very intoxicated Jeff Jarretts actions to follow would be absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for. INCLUDING knocking the glasses off of John Calvins face, taking said glasses, and for a time period threatening to not give them back and break them. Screaming at numerous people in the dressing room that it was their fault, they were behind it like some paranoid coked out raging idiot. Not saying he WAS coked out, but I will say he was drunk, him and Karen both and I have a locker room full of people that will back me up on it.

Jeff Jarrett will get his money in a couple days as promised, then he can spend it on a defense attorney as I will be going to the sheriffs department to swear a warrant out on him tomorrow for assault on a minor. This was not some wrestling angle or anything of that nature, and he had no right to take it out on anyone else but me. Don't get me wrong, I was wrong. We should have had that taken care of, but Jeffs actions after that along with Karen insisting on going out to the ring to interrupt Drakes speech was absolutely despicable. That is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth." 

- Following reports that Jeff Jarrett was involved in a physical altercation last night with Ian Rotten's 17-year old son, news has seemingly gotten worse for the Jarretts. 

The Examiner, who broke the story about Jeff Jarrett's incident, is now reporting that Karen Jarrett was involved in a separate, allegedly drunken dispute with DreamWave promoter JayRep on Saturday.

Witnesses say that on Saturday at the Illinois DreamWave show, Karen Jarrett noticed her photos had not been placed on the merchandise table for sale. She reportedly demanded the promoter pay out of pocket for her losses, alleging that she was owed $1,500 and when the promoter refused to pay that amount she reportedly went on a rampage, yelling and screaming at anyone and everyone.

A former TNA talent, who remained anonymous, described Karen Jarrett as follows…

"Brother, Karen is something else, it's her way or no way and she screams and pouts until she gets her way. I think she wears the pants in that relationship which is cool I guess but she gets her one come hell or high water."

Opinionated View- I will say Ian Rotten has an awful rep when it comes to paying talent. So I could see Jeff or anyone getting pissed. That said I can't defend go after a 17 year old. Now this really doesn't like goo there are two incidents so close together.

Reed Bentley defeats Zach Gowen with a vicious forearm.

Trik Davis joins Bentley in a beatdown of Gowen. Jimmy Jacobs makes the save but gets low blowed for his trouble.

Mark Wolf, Michael Todd Stratton, Ox Harley, and Phoenix versus Suicide Kid, Harry Palmer, Corporal Robinson, and Nate Webb became a four way tag match. Harley and Stratton won over Robinson and Phoenix, Webb and Kid, Wolf and Palmer. Kong attacked Robinson on the outside of the ring.

Ian Rotten announced Mark Wolf and Harry Palmer versus Suicide Kid and Dustin Rhodes for July 20.

Jack Thriller pinned Chrisjen Hayme in a six way match after a superkick.  HyZaya, Kevin Douglas, Hamrick, and Sheik Khan Abadi were also involved in the match.

Stratton attacks Thriller after the match.

Devon Moore defeats Jimmy Jacobs in a non-title match. Bentley and Davis provided a distraction.

Jacobs was being beaten down by Bentley and Davis. Gowen makes the save, and a tag team match is made for July 20.

Ian and Axl Rotten defeat Peter B. Beautiful and Simon Sezz. Hardcore match with all kinds of weapons including steel chairs and staple guns.

The Hooligans of Mason and Devin Cutler defeat Manimal and Bill the Butcher.

Chuey Martinez defeat Ruben Steel in a barefoot thumbtack match.

Ian Rotten and Simon Sezz were signed for a barbed wire match for July 20.

Sabu defeats BJ Whitmer in another wild brawl.
